Slice in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Purchased the large traditional Cornish pasty and sat opposite to eat (abit chilly in April) but the pasty was crisp, but butter flakes that melt in your mouth, with a fantastic taste of beef and vegetables 👌 it was delicious and delightful 😊 Back home now and wish they done online orders I would be buying every month x Thanks for a beautiful pasty!!

Wet and windy day in Tintagel, what better to fill the tummy before tackling the castle up on the steep peninsula than a fresh pasty straight from the oven. Drawn in by the waft of the smell of the freshly baked pasties I could see through the open door to the kitchen with pasties in progress, I glanced over the options on the boards above the counter but had to go with the classic traditional to really get a taste of what they are offering at £5.50 per pasty (Apr25). As mentioned pasty was lovely and hot, the crusty was thick with a good chew with a salty tang. The inside had a decent mix of beef, potato and swede filling the pasty, slightly under seasoned but nice flavour. Filling and tasty.

Just bought a Cornish steak pasty. It was a potato pasty. Zero meat inside. I may have spotted a couple minuscule millimetre bits. I was so looking forward to a pasty but this wasn’t it.

We are looking forward to have a Cornish pasty and we pass to this shop ,we were told the pasties will be ready in 20 minutes. We come back ,got our pasties happy as it was hot .Very disappointed as pasties not cook enough ,meat is white no test.Sorry I could not give a star.

We got a traditional "steak" pasty which was 99% potato (see pic), a cold stewed cup of tea (last one in the pot apparently - as if boiling a fresh one was out of the question) and a tasteless scone that fell to bits immediately. Worst food in Cornwall, 0/10.

We popped in for some scones on our way back to Norwich and for £2 per scone was horrified to find they were totally uncooked in the middle. 1 good one out of 4 and £6 put in the bin. Probably the most expensive and worst scones in Cornwall

Sorry in advance for my English. We've tasted pastries and brownies and they were delicious : freshs and homemade. You even have vegan and no gluten options. Chocolate brownies with cream are delightfull. The atmosphere is very chill and welcoming, and sellers are very lovely. In front of the shop, you have a place where you can taste the products just bought. All is perfect.

Absolutely delicious pasties. Kids had the veggie & the cheese and onion- both disappeared rapidly and both delayed them delicious. I had the cauliflower, spinach and chickpea and it was warm tasty and absolutely delicious. Lightly spiced, flavorful and packed with filling. Free sauces available but not needed as pasties tasty and not needing any additions. Water pleasantly cheap as £1 a bottle. Lots of seating available over the road.

Stunning traditional pasties! Maybe the best we've had in our three trips to Cornwall. The cream tea and date bars were tasty, too. Everything was a reasonable price and the service was friendly.

Very very good stuff, shopkeeper was polite, helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

Lived in Cornwall for 3/4 of my life. Best chicken pasty I’ve ever eaten. Really friendly owner too! Would recommend. There is newly refurbished seating just over the road.

Posting in response to some of the previous messages - Slice came recommended and the pasty was well filled, plenty of meat that was very tender.

Really great cornish pasties, sat on tables at tea room opposite shop. Definitely recommended, £5 a pasty, sauces free!

Agree with previous reviews that there is basically no meat in these pasties. Delightful onions though 😜 and shopkeeper has a nice hairstyle

Quite possibly the worse pasty I have ever had. There was hardly any filling the pastry was over cooked, I couldn’t eat it all, very disappointed as the reviews were so good

Worst pasty that I have ever had in Cornwall, and I'm something of a pasty fiend. No swede in the mix, and hardly any meat at all. Basically just potato and onion. Foul. Avoid, go to the other bakers up the road.

I asked the member of staff serving was the meat in the Cornish pasty lean without gristle, she replied we use brisket cut meat so it was free of gristle, well is was very chewy, so defiantly not the best pasty in Cornwall, hence two stars, should have put one star. :{

Was expecting cubed steak chunks in my pasty but was minced beef

Very rude lady , asked for a sausage roll told to come back later in a very rude , all she had to say was sorry we haven't got any till later, just rude.

Honestly the best traditional Cornish Pasty I've ever eaten. SUPERB!!! must try.

Stopped here for pasties on the way to the castle, ate half on the way there and had the other half an hour later on Merlins beach and it was still warm. So tasty absolutely fantastic, so much so stopped on the way back to the car and bought three more. Great pasties!!

I would highly recommend to anyone wanting take away food in Tintagel. Staff are friendly and helpful in a relaxed atmosphere.Wonderful food fleshly cooked. The shop is cleaned to a very high standard and we will be returning again. My boy went back for a second pasty as he enjoyed it so much.👍👍👍👍👍

We had some of the most amazing gelato ever here! The owner is friendly and very accommodating. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area.

We loved the pasties here, all three varieties were excellent! The pastry is not soggy or greasy, our favourites were the vegetarian and steak/potato. Owner was so friendly during our weekend trip to Tintagel. Hope we can return one day again. We highly recommend it! From the two Asian ladies who would takeaway to eat at the bus stop opposite the shop.

Friendly staff and a fantastic pastie (they're baked on the premises daily). So good I bought a second one for later, and then ate it immediately.

Fab little place who sell gluten free pasties suitable for coeliac's. Lovely ladies who are really helpful too 🥰

The pasties were yummy, with a vegan option and they said that they can cater for gluten-free if you phone ahead. Service was great, really friendly. Ask them about St Nectan's!
