Skymaster in Warrington

Lovely friendly staff. Food was hot and cooked well. Always a lovely experience visit about once a month and have never had a bad experience. Would recommend

We love the Skymaster as the staff are so kind & friendly and the food is amazing. Great atmosphere, clean and tidy. When our family come up to visit at christmas we always take them here as the mother in law has allergies and vegetarian but the Skymaster always provided ger with a fabulous meal. Thank you to each and every one of you for making our visits feel so special.

Great atmosphere, plentiful buffet, meat cooked to perfection, friendly and accommodating staff, Only downside being seated in the children's area which for our party was not appropriate.

Went on Friday night after a trip shopping, never been here before but it probably one of the best carries I have ever had. Loverly welcome by the manager David he said as he showed us to the table. Other people in the party ate from the main menu, food arrived really quick, a nice touch letting us know when they are ready so we can get carvery and all eat together. Overall a very welcoming place with great food and a nice piece of cake to take home. Thanks for the recommendation see you soon. Phil & Jen

A lovely visit with my family. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated in a comfortable booth. Service at the bar was quick, friendly and efficient. Our meals were delivered in a timely manner and were hot and delicious with excellent presentation. The team working were incrediblt friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon!

Called for lunch with friends. Food was decent - not too long a wait, hot and nicely presented, portions not huge but okay. App ordering was fine. Staff were friendly. One drink forgotten by first waiter but that was cheerfully corrected by another waiter. Carvery aside it's the same menu / food as the other local Marston's pubs (Seven Woods, Eight Towers, Trigger Pond) albeit at higher prices - for one prawn cocktail starter, two mains of pie and burger and 3 hot drinks was just short of 40 quid. Probably go again to try the carvery.

Best Steak and Ale pie around, by far! Enjoyed in a spotlessly clean and pleasant environment. Food was hot and delicious, and served in a very reasonable time. Nice that my comments at the table were relayed back to the kitchen manager Matt, who made a point of coming out to thank us. It was my pleasure. All bar and waiting on staff were attentive and friendly, (Even you C :-)) We 2 thoroughly enjoyed our meal and catch up and will definitely be back in the near future. Hopefully with enough room for dessert too.

We attend the restaurant today and had a very nice lunch. Our experience was enhanced by the service of the staff. A young Scouse lady called Chantelle was superb, she was so friendly, smart and extremely polite. We will definitely be returning

Recently visited Skymaster after a long day at work and had a great experience! The food was great had the new kebabs which where really good, The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pub with amazing food and brilliant service.

Lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly and really welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Karen our waitress was bubbly and smiley . The food was delicious and served quickly and was really fresh and hot. Restaurant and toilets were Extremely clean . Pleasure to visit and will definitely be going back very soon.

Skymaster Pub has become my go-to spot! The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The drinks are consistently great, and the food is delicious. Whether I'm meeting friends or just grabbing a bite, Skymaster Pub never disappoints.

This is our regular dining-out venue. We always have a good meal with drinks. The staff are always friendly and attentive.

Terrible we booked and got broken chair at table. Then waited half hour for starter then they never cleaned table so further 40 min wait for mains. The food wasnt nice either... fatty.. tasteless

Fantastic service, lovely friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Felt extremely safe with all the covid protocols in place. Even with challenging weather the staff made my experience extremely enjoyable. Will definitely be visiting again.

Booked a table for the wife and I for our first out of lockdown lunch, we were seated outside as as covid restrictions are still in place. the staff were attentive and wore masks. We ordered our food and had a glass of coke while waiting, starters arrived quickly and was hot and very tasty, we had to wait a little while for the main but looked great when it arrived at the table. Not so good when I started eating the beer battered cod, it was awful, the centre of the fish was so rubbery the fork wouldn't actually go into the fish, I removed the batter the centre of the fish was the same right through. Absolutely awful, we told a staff member who said he would pass on our remarks to the chef. Don't think we will be returning.

First week of reopening after a long lockdown and we visited for drinks and then decided to have food too. The outside table service was excellent quick and efficient . We were welcomed by friendly professional staff and the food was brought out piping hot and in a reasonable time . All our different dishes that we ordered were really good.We were a table of four very well looked after and a good experience all round . Will continue to visit regularly for both food and drinks ...shout out to David the landlord for his very individual welcome !! and his great team of staff

My wife and I visited yesterday at the warrington location. We have been coming here for years!! however during lockdown we hadn't had been and yesterday my wife and i finally got the chance to have a dinner date - They have coronavirus guidelines and all was good but your food quality from yesterday was by far one of the worst. may i just add we spent around £40+ I had ordered Nachos and my wife got the goujon chicken, Firstly the chicken was spot on, fairly decent sized chicken and good portion however the nachos I legit no word of lie got 6 tortilla chips with a blob of cheese with 3 small ass ramekins with different sauces what an absolute con - If i had known you had changed it from previously served in what looked like a lasagne dish i'd never ordered it. NEXT onto our mains My wife got a stake which was missing all of her other bits like chips, peas, onion rings and whatever else, when the lady came and dropped of it my wife obviously pointed this out - Mushroom was cold literally 1 mushroom was stone cold. peas were warm, chips were warm and the stake was like it had been glued together? nasty. she took 1 bite and didn't eat any more. I had gotten the chicken tikka. this was obviously a microwaved meal, the tikka has 2 chunks of chicken? rice was burnt, poppadum was stale, the only decent thing was the nan bread. the guy who came to take out stuff away was like i guess you didn't like it? we pointed out to try it and see what you think but he just made excuses must of known it was shocking? my guess is the food was made in advance and left under a heat lamp? that probs didn't work. finally the pudding we got a sticky toffee pudding, and must of been a microwave special to be fair it was ok? not much to be said. Shame we've been coming here for many years and recommended it to everyone however it looks like we'll be going else where now.

Me and my family had a Carvery from the Skymaster in Warrington. The food was excellent,the meat was perfect, the yorkshire pudding,was lovely. Great choice of potatoes and Vegetable. We had a small carvery ,off the menu, the portion sizes where really good. Staff very accommodating.Well done Guys.

Visited here for breakfast . We were really made to feel welcome and the breakfast menu had plenty of choice. The food was cooked to order and can not fault the quality of the breakfast . It was relaxed and we enjoyed the visit. Would return and will try the lunch or evening menu based on our experience of breakfast .

I have used this place for many years and have been really happy with the service but as I have visited this place during the pandemic I am appalled by the management!I know there are rules under these circumstances and he was happy to tell customers if you are not from the same household you can not sit together and you must always where a mask when not seated This was not good for some customers as they are working away in a bubble! I do understand this but when you have 2 young customers walking around the place with no masks on and clearly on cocaine playing the fruit machine together I find this a insult to everyone who is going by the guidelines The manager was clearly scared of these 2 individuals but if this is the case why do his job??? This is unacceptable and I hope the establishment is uncovered!

Oh Skymaster, what are you doing. I have just had the worst carvery in 40 years of eating out. Next to no meat only choice of 4 veg. Sweet corn, very hard, cauliflower cheese hard and sauce no taste, Carrots over done, and as for the green beans no words can describe. Only roast potatoes, no mash. Yorkshire pudding was a wet mess. We use to be met with a smile and friendly atmosphere, not now.With everything going on in the world I thought you needed customers so you need to go one step up to keep what customers are visiting.

I recently popped in with my fiancée as we heard good reviews about the place. The service was top notch and the food we had was really nice. We both had a Carvery and the chef I think was called Josh was a top chef. We had a laugh with him and he is a brilliant chef and down to earth. We have been to other restaurants that serve carvery but we seem to find the chefs don’t seem interested in the customer unlike Josh. Top service guys.We will definitely be back!!!

Visited the skymaster after a trip to ikea and the carvery was delicious and was greeted well by all staff, once I arrived back home in Preston (after hours of standstill traffic on the motorway) I had a message from Megan ( the manager on shift) to explain I had left my bag, I was really grateful for her to have gone out her way and find me on social media to inform me! This just shows her incredible service towards customers, Thankyou so much, will be definitely visiting again!

Planned visit to Omega Business Park yesterday, found a local pub for lunch. Menu showed Lasagne with side salad & Garlic Bread. Looked great.Nice pub, eat in or out, spacious, nice staff.Lasagne tasted as good as it looked in the internet! And the garlic bread was nice and crispy too!

My partner and I visit The Skymaster regularly and I highly recommend it to everyone. The food, especially the carvery, has always been very nice and I would say that it's the nicest carvery you can get in Warrington. I've tried them all!The staff are also very friendly and always greet us with a smile.

Went for lunch here over the weekend. Food was lovely, cooked beautifully and very tasty. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We had just driven up from London, looking for somewhere to eat. Realised there may be a problem due the Government incentive, eat out to help out, making booking in advance advisable. To our relief, Skymaster was able to offer us to a table. Chose two plates from the carvery with all vegetables. I think hunger and tiredness made it taste better than it was but it a decent sized portion of food and very welcome.Being critical the roast potatoes were past their best, peas and sweet corn lacked flavour; it was also more salty than I like, but I use very little salt on my food. I think the fact that it was late accounted for the drop off in quality. Would I eat here again? Yes without hesitation, staff were really friendly and helpful, social distancing was practised and we felt safe.

Ordered three carveries and they got each one wrong....one twice!Daughter ordered beef, roast potatoes, carrots, sweetcorn with no gravy. They drowned the first one with gravy so we sent it back, they replaced it with turkey, mash potatoes, carrots and cauliflower cheese....how wrong could it be.Food was missing off mine and my wifes, also food was cold.Waitress thought she could make it ok by bringing us a bowl of carrots and roast potatoes. roast potatoes could have been used as bouncy balls.Worst meal we've ever had.

We had drove past this pub a few times and thought it looked nice. We decided to try it and we will never be going back. We both had a burgers and they both tasted like burnt cardboard. Everything was caked in grease and we might as well have just drank a pint of oil. Everyone around us complained as well and the staff were more bothered about pratting around behind the bar. I felt sick when I got home and I could not stop pooing grease. It was horrible. If i has to choose between that and dog food I would choose dog food. It was horrible. Now I know why it was absolutely dead.

Decided last minute to nip out for lunch and take advantage of the current 50% off deal. Arrived early and got seated by the very friend organised staff, it was filling up rapidly, no doubt due to the current offer. Had carvery, chicken salad and side of chips plus two soft drinks for just over £11. Both meals were excellent, but it was the friendliness of all three staff members we interacted with was the lasting impression. Well done all in these strange times.

Food was absolutely amazing and the price was great, had a great time with my girlfriend and was found a table instantly. Thank you chefs for a great meal.

We arrived without a booking and were shown to a table. Staff very friendly. Took our order and very quickly the food came out. It was hot, the chips were delicious. Scampi was amazing but hubby said his fish seemed over cooked. We were given sachets of mayo which did seem very watery. Price was good.

We visited for a family meal whilst staying in the area and found the staff very welcoming and friendly. We used the website to order all our food and drink which we found really easy to use. Two of the party had a carvery and two had the gammon steaks and all the food was beautiful (desserts were amazing) and reasonably priced. The kids cleared their plates which doesnt happen very often!! If we lived in the area this place would definitely be my favourite for food and drink!

This was the first time we had met up with family since the beginning of lockdown. We were all slightly anxious with it being our first outing but were soon put to ease by David and his team. Everything was explained clearly but not made to sound intimidating at all. The place was spotlessly clean as always and although there was a reduced menu there was plenty of choice and the carvery was still on. Food was ordered and everything was served to the table even the carvery but you could choose what you wanted, anybody worried that they wouldn’t get as much on their carvery has no need to worry there was plenty on our plates and when we asked if we could have some more roast potatoes a bowl was brought to the table.The restaurant was very quiet for a Sunday afternoon which is understandable as many people are still very nervous but honestly we felt completely reassured and comfortable and it was lovely to get a bit of normality back in our lives. There was sanitising gel available and the toilets were spotlessly clean. Thank you Skymaster team we will be back very soon

Took a decision to go out for a meal with a friend and the service received from the staff member (K) was brilliant. She was very efficient and friendly as well as honest in her description of the food when asked. And she was spot on and courteous throughout. Would recommend the place just for the service alone.

With all the craziness going on right now, we decided to go out for lunch at the Skymaster. Best decision ever met the wonderful staff David and Dawn and carvery chefs Dave and Josh, we were made to feel really relaxed the food is superb and the staff are so friendly definitely going to become a regular

Went to the skymaster in January, and was very impressed, lovely pub, plenty of parking spaces, great service and the roast dinner was lovely.

Visited today as a family of 10 to celebrate a 40th birthday. Food was excellent service very good. Thanks David and all the team you were friendly and helpful. We were not rushed to order food and were not rushed to leave. We will be back soon

Fantastic evening! Thankyou so much to David and the team for going above and beyond for my sons 3rd Birthday meal! We booked a large table and everybody’s food was hot, delicious and very filling! We all had a great evening!

Had a family meal here today and found it to be excellent. Friendly and attentive staff, a good menu for the adults and one for the kids too, great choice of drinks too with refillable fizzy drinks and a good selection of beers and ales. The quality of the food was great and served to our table really quickly which was great with two restless young kids in our party. We will definitely come back here again, this is a lovely place to come for a family meal.

The skymaster is becoming a regular haunt for us. We visit here for a great value bite to eat and I'm yet to be disappointed. You'll be met with friendly service each time and a menu with plenty of variety and value. The food is very tasty, large portions and up at the top of pub restaurants around this area.Well done again team.P.s., if you like cheesecake, give the red velvet one a go, it's fantastic

The inside was clean and the décor good. Staff were friendly, smiled and polite. Good menu, and we chose 2 for £11.00. Ordered coffee which the waiter said would be delivered to our table, which it was. Coffee very good. Fish and chips was very good. Crisp dry batter, dry chips(no fat) and tasty mushy peas. Gammon was well cooked and very tasty. Again chips were dry and it came with garden peas. Total £15.00. Excellent meal.

Every time I visit which is quite often the food is always delicious and there never is a problem. The staff are really friendly and chatty and the food is great value for money. I would definitely recommend going

Went to the sky master today, been about 4 times in the past, and had a lovely meal as usual. Great decor, great staff, plenty of parking spaces, highly recommended 😊👍

While visiting family we all decided to go to the miller and Carter Steahouse we hadn’t booked and were told there was a four and a half Hour Wait they weren’t really interested and couldn’t really be bothered thank god because we went to the Skymaster what a friendly welcome especially David the general Manager and Meg who were great the Carvery we can honestly say was the best Carvery we have ever had the food and service were outstanding and highly recommended we would definitely go again !

Stayed recently at the adjacent travelodge and visited Skymaster several times for food and drink. We were particularly impressed with the curry night meals, piping hot and very tasty and incredible value at only £6 each. Staff were very friendly David was very welcoming with great banter. We were served by Denna(?) who was very attentive and friendly. Great place to visit with excellent value meals

Just been to Skymaster for a meal with friends and I have to say how impressed I was. Food was brilliant great value for money and staff were friendly and efficient. We had 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £20 Amazing! I don't know how they do it! Steak was great and the wine was good quality (Hardys) not cheap plonk! Will definitely be returning soon. ❤️

Our son and daughter in law, took us to the Skymaster last night, they had a 40% off food voucher. They pre booked a table, but as it was a really cold, rainy and windy night, so things were quite quiet.

David is an absolute treasure. He engaged with every single person in the pub having good humoured fun with them and making them feel welcome. The pub is spotless clean with a great menu choice. My first visit. It won’t be my last.

Visit here in average twice a week, says a lot for the food, always great, quick, varied, hot and tasty. Great staff with a very entertaining maitre'd. Never book always get a table fairly quickly

Hadn't booked but shown to a nice table fairly quickly, just went to bar, gave table number and placed order, got drinks and voucher for carvery straight away. collected our food and enjoyed very much

I keep returning here, the food is reasonably priced, tasty and plentiful. Never an issue with the service. Great team for whom nothing is too much trouble. My go to midweek eating place.

I come here very often, either with my partner, my daughter & grandsons or with friends. Yesterday I visited with an elderly friend & nothing was too much trouble. All staff are very helpful & accomadating, in particular Joshua the chef & Meg the waiting staff. Friendly atmosphere & just a great place. Will definitely be back & will always recommend.

Visited to celebrate a birthday on Saturday 19.10.19 teatime booking for 6 adults and 2 young children. From minute we arrived to leaving the staff were brilliant and attentive. We were not rushed to order Food was plentiful hot and very tasty. Thank you Skymaster

16 of us had a birthday dinner here for our daughter. Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, food was tasty and plentiful, service was great bearing in mind the size of the party. Will be returning here soon.

I had the audacity to use a marstons voucher for a free drink as I browsed the menu and the barman basically snubbed me and threw daggers at me with his eyes as I drank it. I was going to have a carvery but I looked at that and it looked very dry, though I must say reasonably priced. The bar crew were all tiny shirt hard me wannabe types who smoke outside the main entrance.

Don’t know why it’s taken us so long to get to visit the Skymaster but had a really nice meal ... food very good piping hot and the service was excellent ... will definitely return

We called for lunch, got a table straight away, staff very friendly. My husband ordered a cavers and I ordered a lasagne, I thought it was very organised when the staff came and told my husband my order was on the way out if he wished to go for his cavers, manager came over and asked if our meals where ok and had a chat with us, Well done on a lovely experience.

Visit Sun 18th for my Great Nephews 12th Birthday.Excellent Service and no Complaints from any of us.We were a Large Party and all the Food was served together and those that were having the Carvery were informed when to go get it.We were entertained by the Manager David (so funny) throughout our Visit and this created a good Atmosphere for all of us.Nothing was too much Trouble for him and his Staff.Thankyou Skymaster for ensuring Young & Old all had a Brilliant time.

Visited with family in the week for lunch, had carvery 2 for £11 and a meal off the main menu,as always food is good, service is great, the manager always finds time to mingle with the customers, a rare sight these days, awesome effort guys, keep up the great work! My wife and I are staying overnight in Warrington and decided to try the Skymaster we both had a carvery meal and the food was very enjoyable, I could quite easily have had seconds with a cool beer. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was very pleasant.

Went to the skymaster as a small group of friends. 2 of us ordered from the menu and 2 carvery. The menu food was brill, the carvery was ok. Wasn’t all fresh and wasn’t that hot (we sat for 25 mins waiting for the menu meals and didn’t see anything replenished). The food was ok though, would have being better if they served mash too.

Been here a few times & food is always fab. The staff are very friendly. We did not wait very long for our food. Overall we enjoyed our visit as always.

Was due to go Miller and Carter but had a change of plan. Anyway David greated us and made us feel very welcome and attended to my daughter biting her lip. We have visited allot of places over the years and I must say David is excellent at his job, a real people person a credit to his employer. Will most certainly be visiting again and seeing the staff. Just returned from Holiday and missed fathers day so though we would try this out.

We have eaten at Skymaster a number of times recently. The duty manager runs the restaurant so well, from the welcome at the door to leaving. Every member of staff is so polite and helpful. The carvery beef is delicious. Excellent value for money.

It's standard pub menu but always quite good quality ,reasonable value too ,the service is quick also

Had not visited tSkymaster for a couple of years but last weekend had an opportunity and took it. The staff were very friendly and polite. We chosethe carvery this time and it was real value for money. The seating was great and ithad a lovely atmosphere.

So me and my mother walked in and was welcomed by this lovely man asking if we’d like to sit inside or outside and that we could sit anywhere we liked. I went to the bar to order food and this lovely young lady named Saffron took my order and was very helpful. When I asked for a drink she asked if I’d like to upgrade to a refillable drink which was an extra 80 something pence which was a cheap bargain I couldn’t refuse. Saffron then brought over our food and asked if we wanted any sauces. She was very polite and helpful considering this was our first. We will definitely be back thank you saffron for being so helpful xx
