Nice pub for a family meal staff friendly and helpful

I got end of beef not nice I'm afraid just my luck also sewer very smelly outside needs looking into still gave hi marks because it's not staffs fault

Excellent food, mothering law didn't like the brussel sprouts, but she needed moan about something. I would recommend this place wholey

Came across the pub by chance and decided to try the buffet breakfast. Really enjoyed this and the variety. Loved the Yorkshire puddings!

Had a lovely carvery with my family

Whilst the food was of a very high quality it took over 35 minutes to arrive and it wasn't particularly busy, the side could have been warmer.

Hit and miss. Someday good, someday poor. Carvery never ready on time. No beef this time. Not acceptable. Looking for somewhere else.

We turned up on Monday 9th December, we were a little late for the breakfast buffet by around 5/6 mins. As we were approaching the bar the chef came out and we asked about the breakfast and he kindly said he would leave it on till we had served ourselves even offering to make us some fresh fried eggs which we declined, we did ask for some toast which again was no trouble. The whole experience at The Juniper Farm was amazing and lovely service from Jackie.

Absolutely disgusting service, manager and staff talking waited a hour for food and then took my own plates to the bar and ask for my puddings. Which was wrong!

Absolutely outstanding, great service and value for money. If you want a fantastic breakfast, this place is a must visit. You won't leave hungry that's for sure, the carvery is the next thing I'll be trying as a roast is my favourite meal I also have a small Patterdale Terrier, Winston who is a service dog 🐕‍🦺. One of the ladies made a huge fuss of him, he really took to her. Thankyou for 3 great visits so far, outstanding, see you soon. 👌👌👌👌

Ryan was brilliant 5 stars all the way very attentive and on the ball. Food was great and reasonably priced. 3 stars for atmosphere due to a repetitive buzzer in the children's area scaring the life out of me every time it went off.

Was greeted by an amazingly lovely lady called Jackie. She was an absolute star. Welcomed us like it was someone's home what was just so lonely. Jackie deserves the world ❤️

Service was shocking had to wait for nearly half an hour just to pay for the carvery. When this was mentioned there was a shoulder shrug and an excuse of staff have rung in sick. Plenty of staff around the venue but not doing anything we think possibly because they were too young to be behind the bar so were waiting for people to finish so they could clear tables, very polite when doing their job. There are order screens all over the pub, why can't they be taking orders so the bar can just be for drinks. Really really poor setup. When getting the carvery there was a good selection of potatoes and veg but were luke warm at best. The meat was very underwhelming, gammon I don't eat so wouldn't know, really dry little bit of turkey left. No beef. He went to get some, it took ages. But the so called '14 hour slow cooked/roasted beef looked like it had just come out of a microwave. Layer of blubbey fat on top didn't look roasted at all. Managers were really not open to feedback it was really sad, this place could really very easily be improved. It wasn't even that busy for a Saturday teatime. Don't waste your time go to Toby carvery.

We went with a large group on Tuesday 26th November lunch time when booking a week prior Heidi was fantastic help with all our needs shown us the area that we would be seated and help arrange pre booking our meals nothing was to much trouble. On arrival Maisie and Alison helped with all our needs and questions went through our order to make sure it was correct the food was served promptly and everyone enjoyed, sam help with all our drinks orders nothing was to much trouble then Maisie help with all our individual bills (there was a lot) and pudding orders. The group had such a positive experience and will definitely be back

We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Although we had not booked a table was found for us. Ordering drinks and food was easy and the young waiter was only to happy to help with any extras we needed. On leaving after our meal we were wished good bye on our way out. :)

Fantastic experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious Sunday carvery. The triple-layer cakes look incredible. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Went on Sunday for a carvery, had a great selection of meats and veg to go with it. Charlotte was great and always on the ball when asked questions. She was so attentive it made our experience that much better. Everything was reasonably priced and all great quality

Lovely amazing place always come here for a meal child friendly and the staff are so friendly and helpful one staff member in particular Alison that is so kind and helpful and is really good with my little brother Harvey he absolutely loves her she’s always got a smile on her face makes everybody feel welcome and happy

Great place to go for a social gathering with friends or family. Prices reasonable and nice food. Although on this visit service was a bit rushed for some of the menu ordered which was rectified by staff.

Called in at Juniper Farm on Sunday 17th Nov. It was our first visit here and cannot praise the staff highly enough especially our waiter Blake who went out of his way to accommodate my mum who was in a wheelchair. Would definitely be returning to Juniper Farm again. Thank you Blake and team keep up the good work. Karen Cannon

Had a lovely carvery with mum and dad everything was nice but the roast potatoes me and my dad had were to dry.the cake are delicious and very tasty we will definitely come again

Although there was a bit of a wait for the carvery due to numbers food was worth the wait. Staff worked hard and very attentive especially Blake who was a very polite young man.

Blake was a lovely server with lots of great advice on desserts! Very friendly and smiley. 5 stars for Blake!

Blake was very good. Only 4 stars as didn't accept my blue light card on a Sunday despite it saying it could be used everyday

Visited Sunday, had a Carvery which was very enjoyable. Staff were great especially Blake who catered to us at the table. The man serving the meat was especially good as he made the kids and ourselves feel very welcome with his jovial attitude. Would definitely recommend a visit. Worth a mention that they now don't accept Blue light cards on a Sunday, hence the 4 star review. Everything else was 5*

Lovely place not very busy, had to wait over 40 minutes for meals to arrive apparently because pigs in blankets which they had on the carvery take a long time to cook

We come a few times a week for breakfast. More often than not it is Jackie serving us. She is always lovely and helpful. We like coming. I like how relaxed it is and that you don't feel like there us hundreds of people there. The breakfast is such good value for money.

We nipped in on the way back from work heading home to Wigan .nipped in and had some food and omg the food was amazing and the service was brilliant also .Alison was very welcoming and friendly

It was very busy when we visited. It seemed like everyone in the North West wanted a carvery that day. We were sat by the play area as we requested. The carvery looked nice but the que was off putting. So we all (14 of us) chose from the pub menu. The food was tasty, with no complaints for any of the parties. It quietened down after 6 pm. My advice is to go early or later. 4-6 is a very busy period. The staff were friendly but rushed off their feet. Will definitely try the carvery next time.

delicious, perfectly cooked fresh meats and vegetables. its lovely and comfy inside, spacious, not too noisy and not too quiet. we went at lunch in october 2024. even plenty of space for a wheelchair. the staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely be visiting here again.

We came on a Sunday so it was very busy. There wasn’t room near the kids area but we were happy just to get in. The staff were really helpful getting us to a table and directing us to the high chairs. The queue for the carvery was very long but a member of the team told us we could queue once between the two of us, then swop over looking after our two year old and they would take the 2nd parent to the front so we didn’t have to wait another 10 or 15 minutes. The food was great and when Blake came to check on us, he offered to get the children’s ice cream so we could finish our food. Really great experience when at a busy time, it could have been a lot harder.

Carvey is delicious and so are the puddings. Blake was very friendly and helpful server. Would recommend Juniper Farm to my family and friends.

Great carvery just wish the carrots were a bit smaller. Service at the carvery is good but at peak times there's quite a wait; they'd be as well as to have one person slicing it through & another serving what's been sliced. Drinks service is slow too. But staff are friendly & accommodating. Couple of great new staff too, Blake, Chloe & Ryan are only young but all to happy to help.

Allergen friendly, great carvery! Spoke to Sarah the manager on entry who gave me the allergen menu, who also spoke to the kitchen and had fresh veg made to cater for my lactose intolerance, and served separately at the carvery. Blake was very attentive and polite. Will definitely return here.

Enjoy coming here for a drink after work and sometimes food. Really relaxed place with great staff especially Alison who always makes you feel so welcome a lovely lady.

If you're looking for a good meal in a family friendly pub this place is perfect. Lot's of parking, good food, nice place. If you're on the M6 this is very easy to find and better than stopping at services.

Excellent food , meats very tender , drinks a little expensive and not much choice of ale's , would still highly recommend though.

Was served by a very pleasant Lexie who recommend the lasagne which was lovely. Looking forward to our next visit. Shame about the foul smell in the car park which was very off putting.

It's ok. Handy if there's a few of you and you need a larger table. The service is a little slow sometimes. When you go to order at the bar, there's no table service, you'll sometimes wait a while as the queue can be ten deep ordering food and drinks.

Cheap prices but it shows in what you get, both in terms of the food and service.

We called in for desert only on the way home. Despite ordering on the app in a not so busy restaurant it still took 40 minutes for icecream and a slice of cake (which was bland despite looking good)
