Went for breakfast at 0820 (supposed to open at 8am) - closed with no one obviously about! Disappointing as it looked good from reviews

Popped in this morning for a mega breakfast . We travelled to Warrington for the coroners court . Must say I was very impressed . Great staff and the food was excellent

I ordered myself a cappuccino at £3.25 but it was lukewarm and tasked like it was made from a sachet. I also ordered 2 cheese toasties, 1 portion of chips, a diet coke and a bottle of water. The bill came to over £22.00 ! I struggled to fathom how this came to £22.00. It's basically 1 notch up from a 'greasy spoon' but at those prices, I should have gone to the indoor market. My first and last visit to this place.

staff (chef is called Chai) are very friendly and welcoming, clean, warm and comfortable....really good value, too. definitely worth a visit I will be back whenever I am passing. tasty vegetarian option, for those who want to know(I am a vegetarian!)

Best breakfast I have EVER eaten (and I'm a heavy girl with many breakfasts under my belt haha). The guy that served us was super friendly, even the coffee was lovely. I would drive up from Surrey just to eat this again. Well done all!!

A beautiful little cafe in Warrington centre , The lovely girl that served us was excellent, I put sugar ( like a goose ) on my chips and they replaced them without hesitation!! The chef was very sweet and welcoming when we arrived , Will be back Thank you!

Amazing welcome by the staff But the food was absolutely disgusting My partner order mega breakfast she was not told that they had ran out of mushrooms which ,then the table after us got their food which has mushrooms on make that make sense ?? What I ordered was omelette,is thin &greasy I couldn’t eat it was that horrible I ask for bacon & sausage for toppings which most places they would chop it up nope the sausage was and bacon was just ploncked on . I was not interested was so ever I wouldn’t advise Anyone to go this cafe !

Terrible service. Ordered 2 big breakfast and 2 coffee. Coffee service straight away and wait for breakfast about 45 mins. There served the customers after us in and quick such like tea cake, pancake with bacon to them. When they served our breakfast were dry and fried eggs have cut off the white! Told them we wouldn’t eat and ask to pay just for coffee but they said no need to pay and just go! Never go there again .

So I've been a cuple of times and the breakfast is nice could be better at how long you wite for your food could improve but the rating imgiving is a 9 out off 10

Great little place for breakfast. I've walked past it many times but decided to try it out yesterday. Perfect selection of breakfast options. Food is all well cooked. Wouldn't recommend for big families as there isn't tons of space to sit. Really friendly staff too. I will definitely be going back.

I can't think of a single redeeming quality.

Family visit on a Saturday lunchtime. Dirty floors and sticky table. Ordered all day breakfasts and Turkey, Stuffing and cranberry. The Stuffing wasn't cooked and the salad it came with didn't look very fresh. Thirty minutes wait for our food. My breakfast all taisted the same and the eggs cooked to death. Couldn't wait to pay and get out of the place.

The Staff are Attentive and friendly We had a Really nice Breakfast My Friend had the small Breakfast it was plenty for him I picked what I wanted on mine which they don't mind you doing And they was a Good Price too

Once I been to this cafe and I bought food in here I thought the food was cheap but unfortunately it overcharged me and this was in May bank holiday few months back and anyway the staff have no manners in there and never going back 😡

Walk past this cafe all the time and thought I’d try with my little boy. We sat down and were handed a menu which was almost ripped in 2. Has beans on the back and was sticky to touch. The table we sat on was also caped in sugar/salt and had clearly not been wiped. I know this as when watching other tables leave the waitress simple reset the tables without even taking a tissue never mind a cloth to the table. She then brought over my cup of tea which had a hair in the bottom of the cup and had a lipstick mark on the side. I asked for it to be changed which she did but hesitantly which was off putting. My little boy ordered pancakes which when they come he described them as “slimey” I assume he meant greasy as that is what everything else was that was brought over. The cutlery was stained. Also had to swap this. Hash browns drenched in grease. I couldn’t finish my breakfast nore did my little boy and when paying the lady said “did you not like it”. I try to avoid the confrontation and the cafe itself was only small so to not cause a fuss I just said we were in a rush and she tutted. The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I felt like I needed some hand sanitizer coming out of there! I would avoid at all costs!!!

Went in here today for a bit of breakfast as menu outside showed good price for the food place looks rundown Inside and tables were sticky and battered food was good and price was good however it took 25 mins to get drink and 45 mins for food to come I would say on the full breakfast it says 2 sausage however they are half sausages so it's only 1 really I also thought it quite bad that they are selling multi pack cans for 1.50 surely you can't be doing that clearly says it on the can and seems a rip of to be 1.50 when they cost about 30p on muiltpack shame really as right in the center has the potential to be a great little caffe

we sat down ordered are food, the waitress gave people there drinks who had orderd their after us and 15 mins later we was still waiting for ares. we polity asked could we have ares n she rudely told us to wait. The food was minging burnt burgers, stale pasta fed to a seven year old. we will not be returning

First time come with my wife, great food and nice place.

I visited at about 11:00 on a bank holiday Monday whilst waiting for the rest of town to open A nice little cafe slap bang in the city center the location is great for people watching. I had the full English breakfast minus the tomato and a cup of tea (the brew even came with a custard cream 😋) The breakfast was well presented and very tasty the sausages were definitely the highlight. The bacon was nice however it wasn't as crispy as I had liked and I do prefer thin bacon. But that's just my personal preference. All in all I'd definitely come back again

Was told this was a nice place for breakfast how wrong was we the lady took our order 45 mins waiting for tea and breakfast sign on window said 6.95 for breakfast so my partner had that myself had bacon sausage on toast bacon burnt went to pay and he said 16 pound they need to sort there prices out rip off wont be returning

Walked in at half 8, walked out 2 minutes later.. just opened for the day, tables all filthy, floor sticky, menus filthy.. no wonder it didn't get a 5 star food hygiene rating.

Food was nice but only went in as saw the deal £6.95 breakfast with free coffee on posters in the window of the cafe. Went in and ordered to be told to wait till the end to pay. Came to the paying part and was disappointed to find out that it was £10 pretty much and not the advertised price seen on the building as I didn’t ask for any extras. Overall was an okay experience but won’t be returning unless they update prices on things as it was a downfall to the whole experience

Great little cafe. Four of us had breakfast on Saturday morning and the food was delicious (Full Mega breakfast), service quick and efficient and reasonably priced.

I recently visited Hideaway Cafe and overall had a positive experience. The location in the city centre was great and convenient. The food was delicious, particularly the "BEAST BIG ONE BREAKFAST" which was a hearty and satisfying full English breakfast with big portions. The prices were also affordable. However, I did notice that the cafe could use some renovation and could be a bit cleaner. Overall, I would recommend Hideaway Cafe for its tasty food and convenient location, but keep in mind that the decor and cleanliness could use some improvement.

Stay hidden Me and my partner visited this cafe this afternoon for lunch for what we thought would be a treat. How wrong we were! I don’t normally write reviews but We had to with this. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Disappointing as we pass this cafe everyday wanting to try it. Upon waking in we noticed that the chef at the front of the cafe wiping his nose on his top dirty clothes and Half of it was unbuttoned and he had no beard net on. This was the first red flag. We stood for a moment to look at the menu we and was abruptly told to sit down and the waitress would take the order from the table. After sitting down we noticed that there is not much choice at all on the ‘menu’ which was dirty, sticky and caked in food and needed updating. After being sat down for less than 2 minutes and had not had a chance to decide what we wanted the waitress asked us what we wanted to order. When we explained that we wanted 10 minutes to decide she was back every 2 minutes demanding that we placed an order. I ordered a sausage barm which come on toast and my partner ordered a full English breakfast and asked for no mushrooms which came with mushrooms! When we were given cutlery it was filthy, and caked in food. The glass we were given for a can of coke was filthy and had not been washed. As she forgot our can of coke and we politely pointed this out she then rudely snapped and said ‘I’m getting that right now’ Which made us feel very uncomfortable. I also found a black hair in my food. Probably beard hair from the chef! After my partner visiting the toilet he had a glimpse of behind the counter and it was messy and dirty. When we were in there we just wanted to pay and get out. Never again!

Quality has gone down hill, burger fell apart and bun doesn't look fresh plus took a while to get watery latte

Very slow service, 20 minutebwait for order to be taken, customers who arrived after myself had orders taken and food delivered before my order taken. Food very disappointing. Drink served 5 minutes after food arrived, teapot not clean, cutlery greasy and food served on cold plate most food was cold by the time it arrived. If you want something good to eat don't go here.

4 of us went to this cafe for a Friday treat, full breakfasts and a brew. The brews came out 20 minutes before the food which made it 30min wait for food with no acknowledgement or apology, the food quality was very very cheap, eggs cooked to death on all our breakfasts, cold mushrooms and beans. All for an £8 charge.

Been many time, sitting outside in the nice weather, selection of food excellent, always cooked fresh, nice tea/coffee all reasonably priced, staff always willing to help.A very good locals cafe, and a nice meeting place very central.

This cafe used to have friendly staff, serve nice food and be opened at early hours of the morning. However, since the chef changed, apparently they close when she wants (words stated by herself when I mentioned that the hours differed). That woman has made feel uncomfortable twice and the place has lost the good vibes that used to have. I will never come back.

Big breakfast half would of been enough for me but good value and service.No wonder it's always busy.

Visited with the family a few weeks ago. Although drinks came quickly the food didn't and all drinks were finished by the time the food arrived. When it did arrive the food was very greasy , oily and inedible.

Not only did they rip us of are brews but the time I realized I was half way into my breakie an was missing 2 slices of bacon not happy pissed off won't go back an the sauges are wank an all eggs forget about a yolk this cafe is a joke

I have been here before with my husband for coffee. I popped in with my 2 daughters for late lunch. We had 2 smoothies ,which were lovely and a sparkling water, a chicken wrap and 2 small plates of salt & pepper chicken and halloumi fries with sweet chilli dip. Delicious. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience with my wife and twin boys,we popped in for breakfast and was immediatley greeted with a good morning from the chef who then ran around to make sure we had a menu to hand!after a few minutes of browsing the many breakfast options he came round to see if we would like any drinks and if we were ready to order,the service from this guy was impecable,so friendly and polite.I ordered the mega breakfast my wife ordered the vegetarian mega breakfast we both received a pot of breakfast tea with this and my boys ordered pancakes with nutella and fanta in a glass with ice and poached egg on toast with a side of bacon and a coca cola in a glass with ice.Drinks came first almost straight away then only a 15 minute wait for food all served at the same time,we all thoroughly enjoyed and finished every last scrap of food on the plate it was delicious😋the food was so clean and well presented that it really stands out from all the other places we have been,when i went to pay i was asked if we enjoyed our breakfast i replied with "AMAZING" as it really was,then i was greeted with the price of the breakfast..........£21.60 for four people!!!!!!! Absolutley amazing value for money i told him to take £25 as it was well more deserving of the price i was given to which he replied:-i will put it in the tips jar for the waitress/waiter staff.......this guy right!!!!!!we left on that note with a goodbye and enjoy your day,i dont know if this guy is the chef,owner,server or all 3 but if you are reading this review you made our day and will 100% be coming back to try all your delicious food and service thank you so much for all you did for us.

A thoroughly enjoyable breakfast in a delightful cafe. We were greeted with a jolly 'Good Morning!'by staff on arrival then promptly provided with a menu. We ordered a full breakfast, full veggie breakfast, pancakes and poached egg on toast for the 2 adults and 2 children dining. The meals were promptly delivered to an excellent standard. 👌 We will be visiting again.

We popped in for a breakfast with our 2 sons. We were greeted with a jolly 'Good morning, are you eating in? Sit down, I'll take your order' Felt very welcome immediately. Our order was promptly taken and delivered. We were very impressed with the full breakfast, veggie breakfast, pancakes and poached egg with bacon on toast. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals which were of a high standard. Will be visiting again.

Breakfast was greasy and covered in old oil, see picture of egg. Latte was too hot, and tasted like hot milk. Best bit was the toast.

Absolutely disgusted with with this place, I've been coming here since it first opened and even though the quality of the products are still decent, the quality of the cooking and oil used has massively gone down hill, the plate was absolutely swimming in dirty rank oil and the girl that served us, kept serving me and my two young children dirty cups and milk cups. Everything just seems extremely unclean now compared to how it used to be, and its kinda retarded that their hygiene standards have gone down hill during a pandemic, lost the custom of a full family.

I recently visited this cafe with my boyfriend the breakfast was vile !! I asked for items removed but still came with them on which I was still charged for ! Greasy was an understatement the hash browns were full of grease ! The hot chocolates were made with water and powder ! Also not to mention the bill totalling to £19 this is absolutely scandalous !!! Won’t ever be visiting again worst experience of my life

Only on a quick visit to warrington so just wanted breakfast, cafe looked very nice from the outside. BUT I so wish I'd read the reviews first! On walking in the 'greasy cafe' smell hits you! But thought we'd give it a chance. Waited over 20 mins for cups of tea which came in a tea pot 10 mins after being given mugs, after a customer who ordered a coffee after us had theirs! Food eventually arrived half an hour later, microwave rubber scrambled eggs, grease balls of hash browns, soggy toast. Not a nice experience! Asked at payment if all was ok, so hubby just said yer was ok. Glad we didnt say anything else after reading the other reviews. Watch out as covid is about and they clearly dont wipe down the condiment containers!

Great cafe with restaurant service and top food cooked by a talented chef. This place is a must visit. Friendly respectable staff and management. Clean and comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. I had the chicken pie chips and mushy peas and has to be one of the best served meals iv had out in a long while. Wish you all the best and a safe prosperous future.

I decided to visit this cafe, not visited for a while and on previous occasions enjoyed the food. Unfortunately on this visit the food was poor. I ordered a Cheese burger & chips & a pot of tea ( the cup was not very clean). The burger was not a beef patty but more like a frozen pork burger? Certainly wasn't beef nor was it freshly made, It was not enjoyable, however the home made chips were very good. While waiting for my meal I observed the cafe interior which looked tired and the table and chairs poor quality, also the floor needed a good clean/mop, and overall the cafe didn't inspire a clean environment. Overall the experience was not as good as it used to be.
