Sky 8 in Central Bedfordshire

After a chat with the staff on the desk, I was informed that they could provide me with gluten free sweet and sour prawn balls. When I opened the containers I found prawns which were over cooked and very chewy in a sweet and sour sauce with the consistency of water, also the special fried was very bland with no soy sauce despite specifically requesting this.

The food I order, always the same two dishes, has increased by just under £3 in the past 15 months. Its too much. In this evening's order, two dishes costing £11, they included a fortune cookie. Not impressed. I'd rather pay less for the food than have a useless fortune cookie.

Sometimes when we order from this place the food is really good and sometimes not so good really. I believe it’s a lack of inconsistency in quality of food. Don’t get me wrong I haven’t had a bad order. However there’s room for improvements.

Awful food. Will NEVER order a take away from this restaurant again OR Go there to eat Food was Tasteless and was cold when delivered and we are about a mile away from the restaurant. Better off with a home made Ham and cheese Toastie and save your money

Nice food as always. Delivery is usually about an hour which is fine as they give you an accurate estimate when ordering

We tried Sky8 last night after viewing the vegetarian menu online and were very impressed with the food quality, quantity and service/price. The vegetarian chicken curry was a particular highlight along with the salt and pepper chips, truly delightful. We would rate this 5 stars, however the lack of vegetarian sides e.g. vegetarian prawn toast/chicken balls has made us rate this 4 stars. Will definitely be visiting Sky8 again.

Myself and wife order every week sometime twice a week the food is amazing always hot and fresh never greasy and to top the service of the lady driver who comes during the week is the best she always smiling always polite however tonight was a bit different we had a different lady driver never seen before but talk about chalk and cheese all I can say is will stick to mid week but food I cant fault.

Ordered takeaway and food was not as expected chicken ball were not cooked through and chicken satay had no peanut flavour at all rang to complain and the person wasn’t very helpful and told me if you are not happy dont get your food from here I have not had bad experience in the past but on this occasion it wasn’t to what I ordered so will not be getting my . takeaway from there and will not recommend any one as customer service is appalling

The vegetarian chicken and bean curd were really nice! I’d have those again 100%! Nice to have something diferent on offer :)

Absolutely lovely food. Would highly recommend. Had during the week and lady was full PPE which was fantastic. However after ordering tonight (fri) a different lady delivered no PPE at all. Very annoyed by this as my family are shielding still. I choose this chinese as they advertised PPE promise. 😡

Always great service, helpful staff and generous helpings. Food always safely packed and piping hot when delivered. Delivery staff are always prompt and polite. More importantly they are currently taking good hygene precautions during coronovirus outbreak. Order with confidence.

Bland, just bland. Not good. Portion size was great, but there are so many other tasty places in LB that we won't be back. This used to be good.

Sky-8 offers take out only food, good friendly service and not long to wait for food. Unfortunately rice is dry and bland with little egg, satay just tastes of watered down ??? Not peanuts, and the tofu is thick and bland. The beef is quite good, spring rolls good if lacking in filling, sweet corn soup and veg soup nice

Very busy - which is a good sign. Food always hot and fresh. Worth the wait for a delivery. Good range of dishes - specialises in Thai. Plus points- quality of food- fresh and tasty- reliable deliverynegatives- popular so delivery time is usually an hour- no credit cards

Took nearly an hour an a half , prawn crackers not there , food just warm, very bland . Will avoid n future

looking at the last review someone has done I do agree there must of been some staffing issues and I was quite shocked with my meal, however after giving them anther try at the weekend I can honestly say it was perfect the meal was delicious the service was just as good as it normally is which is why I wrote this review I'm hoping the person above will give them anther chance like I have although I've used them for a long time now and did find it quite strange with the other meal I had.

We use Sky 8 regularly and we are never disappointed. The food is always very tasty and is great value! The Thai food is particularly nice and well portioned.

Efficient telephone order and prompt delivery of piping hot food. Unfortunately the hong king chicken was most disappointing. Strips, not...

If you're in the mood for a Chinese, Malaysia or Thai, this is the place to come. Sky 8's food is so delicious that just reading the menu will make your mouth water. My favourite meal off of the menu has to be the M1, the chicken skewers smothered in satay sauce, the luscious beef green curry, dreamy Ty Seight Chicken and last but certainly not least fantastic Coconut Rice. Whatever you order at Sky 8 be sure to purchase a few prawn crackers you won't regret it.

I was recommended Sky-8 by a friend, who had said that they were particularly good. I was a bit disappointed, then, to find my takeaway distinctly lacking in flavour. Not actually bad but stodgy and lacklustre. Since the loss of Tasty Meal in Linslade, I do not now know of a really good Chinese takeaway in the area but I can say that the others I've tried have been rather better this.

Had a home delivery, food came very hot. I had chow mein with curry sauce. Was very nice indeed and the best curry sauce I have had in along time

La comida era mediocre. . . habían establecido comida para dos y un pollo al curry y patatas fritas. Las patatas fritas eran duras y más preparado. Pelotas de pollo - de nuevo el bateador estaba recocido efectuar el aspecto y sabor pasta rancio. . 6. gambas diminuto en el arroz frito especial y la purga de cerdo también minúsculo dura.

Hemos usado este chino para llevar y entrega durante unos cuantos años y francamente, en comparación con las otras opciones (uno con iniciales DI) es cabeza y encima. shaoulders

This has to be the most disgusting chinese I've ever consumed! The food was greasy, bland and inedible! I would recommend to stay well away from this establishment, I have no idea how it's received good reviews! The food in the picture is supposedly ribs!

The food is always first class and tasty and excellent service .we always have the delivery service and it always arrives on time and piping hot we use very often and have never been disappointed .

Having lived in Leighton buzzard for the last 10 years, we have tried every Chinese in Leighton buzzard. Sky 8 is by far the best, food is always hot, always on time and great service.100% recommend.

We ordered a take away for delivery,took long time to get through on phone(shows how popular!) advised approximate wait-but food a worth a wait as when arrive is delicious,hot and very appealing.

We went to Leighton buzzard to visit friends. We ordered a large meal for delivery. The lady who took the order was very rude. To make things worse, she delivers the food herself. When she arrived, she was really impatient. She told us to pay quickly because she was busy. Need to get back to the shop to take orders. How unprofessional is that!! Food was average, very salty and watery dishes. Noodles was really oily.

Totally disguised. Found a small stone in takeaway food. Couldn't believe at first but after rinsing off the sauce it is definitely a small stone, the ones that are found on the ground. The thought of it disgusts me. Rang sky8, was told they didn't understand and the manager was out but would give me a call when she returned. There was never a call back. Lost trust in this place and will never return. And be warned for current or future customers.

Great food from the establishment. I had plain chow mein with curry sauce. It was the best plain one I have ever had. Very moist and not dry like some I've had. Curry sauce was lush. Will be ordering again

Great value take away with delicious food. Friendly, family run business. We use this place often and are always happy with the quality and quantity of food we get. Pick up or delivery, but they only accept cash.

Good food no frills honest price. Sometimes a fair wait as they are popular. Different menu to most take outs in town.

Really good food from Sky-8, you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Portions are of a good size and it's always piping hot. Recommended.

Wow what can I say, a take away that sells a variety of Asian dishes, with my personal favourite being the Malaysian. All the dishes we have had have been very hot and very tasty, with prompt and courteous service, including free delivery. My family's favourite is the M1 set meal for 2, try it you wont ne disappointed.

We also use this takeaway and feel it's the best in town. Really friendly lady who takes orders and the food is fantastic.Tonight we had a takeaway and it was amazing!!!! We always go back.Happy Chinese New Year!

Take away/delivery only, good food, good size portions. kitchen in plain view (spotless) and good to watch the preparation of the food you are about to eat

Friendly staff, great food, prices are definitely better that some of the other Chinese takeaways around town. Still great quality. I would highly recommend this business!

We really don't do takeaway very often but this place was a recommendation. I ordered Thai green chicken curry, coconut rice, Szchuan chilli chicken, Singapore chow mein and a special fried rice. We had food from here once before and it was fine, however on this occasion It was all just too bland. It's not the cheapest takeaway either, we just expected good flavours and plenty of spice.

We usually order from another Chinese in the town but since it was closed we decided to order here. It was a very typical, run of the mill Chinese. Nothing extraordinary like our usual. For a Saturday it took an hour to arrive, but that's understandable. The food was hot when it arrived and relatively cheep as well.. £30 for 5 people ? Bargain! Singapore noodles are very nice but some of the chicken dishes where a bit dry...

Have had take aways from here several times. Very reasonable prices. Food always ok but noodle dishes sometimes a bit over cooked. Everytime I go here they give me at least one dish wrong, different from order! Sometimes this is most welcome ! Lol...

I have lived in Heath & Reach for 2 years now and couldnt recommend Sky 8 enough. SUPERB food, service and always on time, pipping hot. Chicken Penang curry is just awsome. Order with extra suace and you just cant go wrong. Absolutley stunning food. The owners should be VERY proud of themselves. Thank You. ( BIG THUMBS UP ).

We mainly order from the Thai menu, we have never been disappointed, the food is always excellent, hot and delivered very quickly.

Had to write a review as been eating hear for years having tried most of the others and always found it to be excellent. Can get very busy on a Friday and Saturday but weekdays are quieter. The guys behind the counter are friendly and know me by name (am I ordering too much?). If you fancy something different try the chicken Ty Seight which is lovely. Oh and I always ask them to make my Rendang extra spicy, they accommodate for the masses I guess but are happy to whack some extra chilli in :o)

Best Chinese food in Leighton Buzzard, we have never been disappointed, always ready on time and order correct.. Used to go elsewhere which we thought was great, only discovered this place when our last place changed hands and this is even better.. Best Chinese chicken curry we've ever had!!

Recently moved & lost all take away menus,only a few minutes away & thought I'd give Sky8 a try. Ordered 2 Thai dishes. one Chinese & the usual rice,noodles,prawn crackers etc & was surprised it was only 15minutes to pick up. The Rendang chicken had a runny gravy like sauce that had a faint hint of coconut but no heat of chilli at all & had only onions & nothing else!The chicken lat chep again plenty of onions but a few peppers not much taste & no pineapple as advertised...both these 2 were as tasteless a Chinese as I've ever eaten & the beef in black bean sauce was awful & will not be going there again,the only dish with taste was the vermicelli noodles Whoopee do!

ordered takeaway from here on a few occassions and does not disappoint, really liked the food. good value for money and wide selection of dishes.
