Had a lovely evening with my family at indian lodge.as a indian i found out it’s best authentic indian restaurant ever.onion bhaje and lamb tikka biriyani was fabulous.also portion are huge.friendly attentive staff.a young waiter was really attentive and was keep eye on us every time.definitely coming back again with my family.

We booked for table for 4 at short notice. First time at this restaurant, great food, great service good value for money. We will be back.☺️

This has been one of the best curries I have had, I ate like a king and the portion sizes are huge and good value for money, staff are friendly and the food appeared to be cooked from fresh I really highly recommend them.

Got our normal Friday night takeaway last night and it was nothing like we normally get. Everything had changed, the Samosa's were very small full of cheap pepper, the Onion barges' were doughy no better than Tesco round the corner. So normal starters were rubbish. The mains of Madras, Bhoona, Bombay and Bindi were all so different and not their normal taste plus a bonus of us both having very bad stomachs the next morning. So after 4 years of Good Friday nights we got terrible food. Shame it may have been taken over or new chief that has no idea how to prepare curry but very disappointed. Normally 4 star.

Definitely “Not the best”. Okay it was a take away but the dishes should be the same as a sit down? Chicken Bhoona was dry chicken breast, no flavour what so ever in a sauce that can only be described as wishy washy tomato. It bore absolutely no resemblance to the description on the menu. Chicken Chat starter had no depth of flavour. Shocking.

I had a salmon jalfrezie and must say it was fabulous. Very friendly staff loved the food and service. I will be back.

I have tried to order via Just Eat 3 times in as many weeks and the order has been cancelled. Very poor and a funny way to run a business. I won’t be ordering again.

always eat here, family are a regular customer. the workers are lovely and remember are drink order! very kind and the food is incredible and always filling. anytime there is a mistake made we get either a refund or a new plate. (only happened twice in years of going!) it can be loud when crowded but that's with any restaurant. Decent pricing, i recommend!

Really enjoy meals from Indian Lodge. We usually order as a take-away rather than eat-in but the main meals are always enjoyable. My only negative is they just can't seem to produce a decent bread - naans, paratha, etc. I've tried numerous on their menu hoping to finally land on a good one but alas never have. They always are dry, a bit floury-tasting with not much flavour. It's a real shame but won't put me off ordering from them, I'll just be giving up on the breads. As I say, I only have good things to say about all the other dishes I or my family have tried. Well worth ordering from here, just give the bread a miss :-)

Why does everything have sugar init? And full of chopped onions 35% of the dish? Would not order again

Went with a neighbour for dinner. I had been there quite a few times before but at least a year passed. The service was excellent and while the menu had changed, more comprehensive and obviously dearer, still good value. Strongly recommend any curry lover to go and enjoy well cooked genuine authentic food.

Newly refurbished and fantastic and tasty food. Babu and his team are welcoming and on the ball with making my visit there a lovely and pleasant experience. The food is always good and consistent. I love the chicken tikka korai (phal + hot) with mushroom rice. Delicious. Also for my starter I had a prawn puree (vindaloo hot) Amazing raste. All in all the best value for money indian restaurant around!

Have ordered here consistently for about 2 years. Almost every single occasion the order has been an hour late; therefore I have to call up to chase the order, only to be told the food is still sat in the kitchen. Once or twice is forgivable, but when it happens every time it’s disrespectful and shows contempt towards customers. Don’t advertise a delivery service and charge for it, if you’re not going to bother sending the food out, until the customer prompts you! I won’t be ordering from their restaurant again, and I urge others to follow suit, unless you want to pay for food that won’t arrive.

I actually do not understand the reviews on here. Must be fake or something because the food was horrible. As an indian who just recently moved to the area we thought we would visit. First of all they display and advertise that they have a buffet, they don’t. Apparently its an “old” advert they haven’t replaced. Anyway we proceeded to have their £13.95 menu which gave 1 starter, 1 main, 1 side and rice or naan per person. I am pregnant and went for 1) Chicken tikka (which was COLD when it came out which means they use a microwave to heat things), 2) a chicken rogan josh (absolutely vile) and 3) paneer masala (this had no taste whatsoever). My whole family did not enjoy their food and we are big foodies. We literally had a spoon of everything, and it looked like we didnt eat anything. The servers were trying to make us take all the food home. My husband took his biryani as he felt bad but it went in the bin. I refused to pay £110 and wanted to complain, but my dad felt sorry for them and made us pay saying “this is how these restaurants are, they dont cater to real asians” Please please please if you are english, this is NOT what authentic indian food tastes like. Do not be fooled by their reviews. It is not a good place to dine and enjoy indian food. A big fat no from me. I wish i could get a refund as it was not worth it at all.

My wife and I really enjoyed visiting Indian Lodge in Flitwick, the welcome was warm and the menu wonderfully varied. We didn't feel rushed whilst browsing through the menu, the waiter was helpful and attentive. The restaurant is clean, warm & has lovely decor. The food was absolutely delicious. Ample parking too. Highly recommend, especially the Buffet nights, great value for money.

Sadly we have lost all faith in getting a meal from this restaurant as a takeaway! Having ordered previously for a pick up, we arrived to find out it hadn’t been cooked and therefore had to wait 20 minutes for them to complete our order. Today, we ordered for a delivery online and after an hour, called the restaurant to be told it would be with us in 10 minutes. Calling again half an hour later, we were told it’s on its way and it’ll be 5 minutes and again, nothing. Finally after 2 hours and a half we received our order cold and without some of our order. If you order from here, pick up as the food is good but the customer service is appalling and non-responsive.

Visited the India Lodge in Flitwick as part of our ongoing Curry Tour of Bedfordshire, where we seek out the best Indian Restaurants. From the outside, this restaurant is one you might consider driving past, but inside is a very different matter. The décor is extremely pleasant, modern and its clean. The obligatory poppadum starter and pickle tray was delicious – especially the spiced onions. It could not be faulted and we even got extra lime pickle! Mains were equally as tasty, with me choosing a vegetable samba, which was one of the best I have had. Clearly prepared fresh and extremely tasty with just a perfect amount of heat vs. spice. The stuffed naan was also great too! Waiting staff were extremely attentive, polite and friendly which made the visit even more enjoyable. Price wise it was not expensive at all compared to others we have visited that have cost lots more and have been hugely disappointing. This is easily one of our top recommendations so far and one that we will 100% return to. Highly recommended. *****

Having eaten at the restaurant before that was very nice and service was excellent. I decided to order a take away. The delivery was late by half hour. The chicken was chewy, the naan was under cooked and the rice was hard. So i asked for a refund and had no response. The customer service very poor I'm not sure if they have changed the cook. But I could had done better. So that why my review so low. Still waiting on them to get back to me.

Excellent food and service. We did wait quite a while for delivery, but it was a Saturday night. I would recommend and use again for a takeaway.

After a long week, the prince of wales ampthill team, went to the Indian lodge for a team meal and it was incredible, 7 of us late on a Sunday, friendly staff, amazing food, hot and fast, would definitely be going back

Not a bad experience. We were the only customers for the 2 hours we were there. My order was wrong and said they would take it off the bill and didn't 😮‍💨 didn't bother to say anything but probably would try other Indians in Flitwick. Food was okay though. Shame it was empty though.

We love to dine at the Indian Lodge flitwick. It's a lovely clean place and the members of staff are always very helpful and friendly The food always looks and tastes fantastic.

Freshly refurbished, great service and best of all lovely food washed down with a bottle or two of Kingfisher.

A favourite for a long time. Makes one feel like a king everytime. Spicy Fish Curry is a must try. Newly list - Skywave Gin, Bicester, is recommended. My preference was straight on the rocks with peels of orange and lemon.

Went somewhere else to begin with but they were fully booked so we thought we would give this place a go and we were not disappointed at all. Great staff fantastic food and service glad we stumbled across this little gem as we are new to the area, we will defiantly be coming back again at some point soon, thank you for a lovely evening.

Nice little Indian restaurant that does lovely takeaway food

For years I've wanted a curry on Christmas day and 2021 was the year it finally happened. My partner, myself and neighbour arrived to be greeted with a drink on the house and promptly seated. Food was great and staff were very attentive. We were fed and watered a lot and went home with full stomachs. Delivery service is great also ;)

I ordered a takeaway from here this evening and don’t get me wrong the food was lovely BUT I ordered something different tonight, a prawn dish to go along with a few other bits. The menu states king prawnS < plural. I was a bit shocked that I had paid £6.95 for ONE prawn, it was a single prawn that had been butterflied to make it appear bigger and so much sauce to try and fill up the box. Just in case you’re thinking of getting this dish, maybe call them to make sure you’re getting your moneys worth, I would say 3 prawns at least would have made it worth it. I also had a chicken dish which was lacking in meat but still tasty.

Had a lovely meal this evening for our 40th anniversary. Food was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented - all of our party of 5 enjoyed the whole meal. Plenty of food, enough to satisfy our appetites without being overwhelming. We didn’t feel crowded or rushed, waiters attentive and helpful but not intrusive. The restaurant itself feels warm, clean and welcoming. Not overpriced. We will certainly be returning - thank you for a lovely evening.

My wife and I just returned from an amazing evening at Indian Lodge. The food was great, very fresh and flavoursome. The staff were very friendly and offered us recommendations on what to try and adjusted the meal according to our taste. We will definitely be returning again.

Comfy seating, car parking, well lit spacious restaurant. We had fish and prawn dishes, generous portions, the rice was nicely seasoned, naan fluffy. Polite and friendly waiter. Recommend a visit here. Thank you

I live about ten doors from this restaurant and have had several take-aways from here. It is inexpensive but still very good and the service is also good. Goit a take-away for Xmas last year due to Covid & fancied a change !

First Time here, very welcoming, great food.

I last reviewed Indian Lodge 2 years ago and have it five stars for wonderful food and friendly, helpful staff. As it's been so long, I thought I would review again. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and looks great. We've been in once during lockdown and had a great meal. Most of the time we order delivery through the restaurant app rather than just eat. I'd recommend this to everyone. The menu has had some new additions recently and I'm working through them. During the start of lockdown some deliveries were delayed as everyone adjusted but that's understandable. Now we get our food on to.e or early every occasion. The food is still great and I wish we could go in to enjoy the excellent customer service

We have had a number of good takeaways from this restaurant during lock down. Ordered a takeaway on Sat 26th. I had to wait 20-25 mins at the restaurant until the order was ready. The restaurant was very busy with a number of takeaway customers...

Food is good but delivery times are a bit hit and miss. We ordered through Just Eat 2.5hrs ago and still waiting. Managed to get through on the phone 45mins ago and were told it would be 5 mins. No one picking up the phone since, but Just Eat app tells us it’s been delivered: it hasn’t. Not the first time this has happened.

Came here week in week out for a while and I’ve never had such amazing service from anywhere the staff are so welcoming and are happy to answer any questions, also the price is amazing and the quality is out of this world

Not great food, we usually go to Raj Ampthill, they are closed owing to lockdown and tried a few places, (just saying, so we don't look precious about our 'usual') ordered lamb chops, our absolute favourite, 2 pieces in a portion and mostly bone, flavour was good but very disappointed in general with price for portion and amount of meat. The main was ok, nothing to blow your socks off. wouldn't bother going again. Ashame as it came recommended and always good to have a try elsewhere.

Ordered a takeaway, on a Friday evening Order placed via Just Eat at 6.45pm, order meant to arrive by 8.15pm 9pm and no delivery Rang restaurant, very sorry, will be 20 mins..... 9.45pm still no delivery, rang restaurant, no answer! Rang Just Eat and cancelled...

Staff very unresponsive and borderline useless. Your food will take on average, between 1 to 3 hours to arrive. The man who has taken my order over the phone a few times now has as much telephone etiquette as a chihuahua. The food is good but it is nothing special compared to other Indian restaurants in Flitwick. Given the poor customer service, extremely slow delivery and badly trained staff, I would choose one of the many other Indian restaurants in Flitwick for your next Indian meal/takeaway. That is also exactly what I will be doing, having given these people one too many chances. Babul - train your staff better and deliver food on time. Once you have done these things, I might reconsider.

Ordered my food at 7 they said it would be 1 hour paid by card rang back at 840 no answer kept ringing eventually spoke to some one they then said it would be 10 minutes it eventually turned up at 10 o'clock freezing cold apsaluty disgusting will never use this lot again , I rang them back told them the food was cold they said they would refund the money we will wait and see .

Food was ok but was really dissapointed with the waiting time . I placed a order at 6 was told 25 minuites to then wait until 740 to receive my food . Longest that I have ever waiting and felt like all they were after was my money as customers waiting times clearly wasnt there problem .

Always found the food ok for our friends meet ups however on a Monday or Tuesday for our get together we felt as if we were being rushed because it was not busy. The final straw came one evening when we had our main meal and afterwards the waiter without being asked came up with our bill, we even wasn’t asked if we wanted coffees or a sweet. I’m sorry to say there is only so much you can take and we were regulars!

Good accomplishment to onion bajees. However was stone cold. Our first order ever. I ordered prawn curry. Was discusting! Like water. It separated on the plate. Nothing but thin sauce and prawn. Could not eat! Needed a spoon and no veg! Appauling. Welcome to collect as it came out and refund!

I came with my son for dinner at this restraunt. I tried the Tan Mix Grill with keema rice& nan The mix grill was perfect along with the rice and nan Thank u indian lodge will be visiting again . Sammy

Waited 50mins for our starters , 1 hour & 10 mins after the mains came out stone cold , had to send back , came back up after a few mins ( obviously microwaved ) by this time it was 10:30pm and none of us...

Wouldn’t even give out 1 star... Worst Indian in the country!!! Actually no.. the WORLD!!!! Awful service, awful food, awful delivery and forgot 2 full meals once delivered. Do not recommend at all!!! WORST INDIAN

Never tried the Indian lodge before, but would definitely use them again,as the delivery was prompt,& our meals were lovely & hot,but best of all th food was absolutely excellent, & plenty of it, all washed down with a lovely bottle of their red house wine .

Have not used the restaurant recently but still get the occasional takeaway which has always been reasonable quality and cost. Last week's 5 main courses were excellent and we are encouraged to go back for more of same.

Tasty Indian, extensive memu, friendly service

I have been visiting this restaurant for years and I have consistently received excellent food, good service and friendly atmosphere.

Ordered through the Just Eat app. Don’t bother. I had my order delayed by 50 minutes and only found out because I chased it. When it arrived it was cold and the worst curry I have ever eaten. I called them to complain to be spoken to derogatory by the person on the phone. I was called honey on a number of times even though I expressed I didn’t like to be referred to as his Honey!!! I have been told the boss wasn’t there but may get a call tomorrow. I have bagged up the delivery and might show them how quickly a delivery can be made by taking it back to them!!

Waited an hour and 45 minutes for our food. Missed a call from the driver, called back to be told we would have to wait longer whilst he delivered somewhere else in our village. Absolute joke! Will never order from them again!

We used to get a lot of takeaways from Indian Lodge and used to eat in the restaurant regularly too, but have now given up. We’ve constantly been fobbed off with deliveries being an hour late despite pre-ordering our meals before they even opened. When...

Had a table booked for 7pm and there only seemed to be one waiter in the restaurant, showing customers to their table, taking the orders, serving drinks and also taking the phone calls for the take away orders. We ordered our meals which arrived at 8.30. We were tempted to leave at they point. Fortunately the food was very good and we all enjoyed our meals. We did feel sorry for the waiter but for a Friday evening one person was not enough.We won't rush back.

This is by far the best Indian takeaway/restaurant in Flitwick. The food never disappoints, and the great service hasn't changed since the day it opened. If you want to eat in style and have a fabulous night out, then this is the place to go!

Would not recommend this place it’s perhaps the worst curry house I’ve experienced. Bland tasteless cold food served on more than one occasion on the same visit ! If your going to serve frozen food at least defrost it and cook it thoroughly. Shocking to say the least .

Have been here several times with friends and so my rating is more of average of those times. Unfortunately the 4 stars would have been in the past with only 2-3 stars this time. The older gentleman who took our order and who we have seen before was very pleasant but a young waiter new to us was quite rude at times. The food seemed blander than in the past and the amount of meat in my lamb pasanda minuscule. Perhaps they have a different chef ?

Ordered a takeaway to deliver. Firstly the man taking the order over the phone came across unfriendly and quite aggressive and was huffing taking my order. I only ordered a meal for 2 and when the food arrived one dish was missing. I phoned and got the same miserable guy with the attitude who told me my phone cut out which is why i only got 1 dish! He then offered a dish at no cost but this never arrived. Poor customer service and to be honest what we had wasn’t great. Why I didn’t order from Spice I don’t know as they are still by far the best in Flitwick, it’s just sometimes we like a change and try other places.

We turned up at 12 for the buffet and they weren't even open, no answer on the phone even though there were cars parked in the car park. Useless

Place looks dated, food not great, rushed service even if we were the only ones in there, have cooked better Currys at home, avoid if you like your taste buds

Fantastic food with very pleasant staff accommodating our every need.

I used to sing the praises of this restaurant but my last two experiences of takeaways in the last month have left me completely underwhelmed! Bland and most recently a luke warm delivery that took one hour fifty minutes to arrive. I’ve never waited so long for a delivery and I won’t be waiting again!

Went on a Sunday day lunchtime for the buffet. Was really nice and the waiter cooked us food of our choice really taking on board the fact we like our food spicey. Would recommend.
