The service was lovely and friendly, and the meals were delivered quickly! Taste wise, the mashed potatoes that came with the steak and ale pie were slightly undercooked and needed seasoning, but the pie itself was fantastic. The small chilli plate did not taste fresh, as well unfortunately. That said, the ambience was great, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and the drinks were lovely. A nice place for a classic pub meal in the heart of King’s Cross

It's our favourite London pub for a meal the night before a Eurostar. We have always pitched up at 17.00 to ensure that we got a seat. This time, 10 days ago, we arrived and it was empty. We couldn't understand it. We queried the "apocalypse", but staff were unconcerned and said, "customers will come, they never fail". And they did! Food was, as usual, excellent, Sausage, mash and gravy, "Bunless" Bean Burger which was off-menu but easily handled. Good beer, Timothy Taylor. As ever, an enjoyable experience.

Cracking pub with staff that treat you special. They know where you're sitting without giving them a table number, which is just as well as I don't think there were any. Went for a beer on the night and saw someone with the biggest fish ever. I said, I am going back if I get chance and having that. I did. And it didn't dissapoint. Loved the banter with the bar staff. Will return on future visits to London

The beef and ale pie was superb! Service was very good, and helpful. Atmosphere was relaxing and warm. We will definitely be coming back to Sinners Arms!

Went to this pub due to the favourable reviews on Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. Helpful staff who knew their beers and with a group of 5 there was a good choice of food which was delicious. It was nice to find a non chain pub which was reasonably priced in this part of London.

Ordentlicher Pub mit ordentlichem Essen und viel Platz zum Sitzen. Der Pub liegt nur wenige Minuten von den Bahnhäfen King´s Cross und St. Pancras entfernt. Er ist aber offensichtlich ein Pub, der auch von der Nachbarschaft frequentiert wird. Innen ziemlich groß und typisch eingerichtet, auch außen gibt es Tische. Das Essen ist Pub-Essen, aber gut zubereitet. Meine Chickenwings mit Chips waren wirklich lecker. Dazu gab es 3 Dips, die aber mE nicht frisch zubereitet waren. Der Service (bestellen und zahlen an der Theke, nur Essen wird gebracht) ist freundlich. Die Preise sind (für London) günstig.

Lovely old pub and very well run, with friendly staff. We opted for a burger each and we were really impressed with the food. A couple behind us had steak and scampi and this also looked delicious. The place has a nice atmosphere and we had a lovely time in there. Music was good, and not too loud which usually drives me out of a place! This was our first visit and we will certainly return. Note they close early on a Saturday. :)

Really lovely traditional London pub with no loud music or 'fancy' food. My husband had the special menu of salmon fishcakes which he said were delicious I opted for the sirloin steak, which you can see from the photo was enormous and extremely delicious I would certainly recommend this lovely establishment to others

Made a special visit as I was schooled at one of the places run by the Skinners' company - it was not busy and had a warm welcome from the two guys on the bar. Had a bit of a chat Skinners' in general and the schools and inter-school rugby rivalry. Good selection of beers, I went for a Renegade Peach Lager which was really refreshing.

Don't expect to be welcome! The most most unfriendly landlord in London! Used to be such a nice place but the new people are a disgrace to the hospitality industry. Have used this place for business meetings and socialising for years Never again. Go to the Dolphin around the corner. ...they actually welcome their customers!Not just a case of 'We've had your money ....now shift"!

We visited the Skinners Arms several times for drinks and dinner when we were in London. It’s a warm and friendly place, with a great staff and excellent cask ales on tap. Go there!

Popped in for dinner on the way home from the match (Spurs v Sheffield United, we won!). Just love this place. Got a nice table for two and ordered scampi/chips and chilli beef and rice. Very tasty - a pretty big portion of scampi, I couldn’t eat it all. Lovely atmosphere - Sunderland fans on the benches outside, couples (older and younger), a few drinkers on their own, all enjoying the traditional atmosphere and decor! The type of pub that is sadly disappearing from London. Don’t change a thing!!! Please!

We found this lovely traditional pub down a quiet road near Kings Cross by accident. We were looking for somewhere for relaxing drink and a bite to eat. Having eaten a cooked lunch earlier in the day we didn't want a large meal but fancied something a bit more than a bag of crisps. This pub catered for our requirements exactly as amongst many items on its menu were a selection of dishes called 'small plates' which were ideal in size, we both enjoyed a small, but satisfying, portion of fish and chips. The staff were all very friendly and service was rapid and efficient. Prices were extremely competitive especially considering this pub is in central London. As it is not on the main road there was very little traffic and so were able to enjoy our food and drink sitting outside in the sunshine. If I was in the area again it's highly likely that I would return to this pub.

Great traditional Pub Grub and good local ales. One of the better pubs in the King's Cross area. Friendly landlord and wonderful old-time atmosphere. I especially appreciated the free water (even with lime and lemon if you like).

we were in london for a few days we always pass this pub on the way to our hotel and we have had a drink here,so this time we decided to go for an evening meal well it was worth the visit.i had steak pie beautiful lovely meat and lovely pastry nice selection of vegetables my husband had the chilli burger which he always likes well done and it was and very tasty too.the meals are on the large side so we couldnt finish them both .the staff are exceptional and very attentive and hospitable and very welcoming next time we are in london we will return.

We stopped for a quick drink after visiting the British library since there was a sunny table outside. Stayed for excellent fish and chips after aperol spritzes and a bottle of Rose. Mark was very accommodating and friendly. We hope to come back!!

Afgekomen op de goeie recenties werd het bezoek een tegenvaller. Het personeel is ongeïnteresseerd en niet zo hygiënisch. Degene die het eten rondbrengt zit in z’n dreadlocks te krabben achter de bar. Het duurde ook lang voor de tafel werd schoongemaakt na de voorgaande gasten. Heb hier uiteindelijk ook om moeten vragen. De wijn was wrang, niet lekker en het eten niet best. De Chili nacho’s waren redelijk maar de kipburger bleek een doorgebroken kipnugget.jammer, heb eerder zeer goede eet- en drink ervaringen in pubs in Londen, deze was niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

The Skinners arems is located within 5 minutes walk of St Pancras Station. It serves 4 real ales with guest ales. We had The Avocet ale and Fraid not, both from the guest Exeter Brewery. Both very well kept. The food is very well priced for a central London location. My steak was well cooked, the chicken burger very tasty and a good fish pie. Worth the find

Tremendous pub grub and friendly service in a part of London that is becoming ever more ‘hip’. Very traditional values in serving tasty, hearty meals for a competitive price. Really enjoyed my afternoon here.

Stopped by for dinner while in town on business. The steak and ale pie was winderfully rich and hearty, and the beer was good. It was a random Wednesday evening, but the pub was rather full and very lively.

Called in for a drink on a Friday afternoon. Very surprised I was the only person in the pub. Good choice of beers and very handy for both stations

I really loved the huge fish with its beer batter, the fish was moist and fresh but lacked the traditional side of mushy peas. The fries were frozen ones and the tartar sauce serving could have been a tad more generous. The steak and mushroom pie my husband had was a bit too full of thickener to really be tasty and the vegetables were on the radish side.

Best Fish & Chips we had during our whole stay in London. Beef pie was excellent, great crust. Good selection of beers. Fun atmosphere. Recommended.

Called in for lunch as it's close to St Pancras/Kings Cross. As it was a hot lunchtime we went inside the pub. Typical, atmospheric London pub. The two young girls serving were friendly but more interested in chatting to themselves. Ordered a wrap and chilli con carne. My chilli was very spicy which is OK but it tasted more of curry powder than cumin, chilli. However, pleasant lunch and OK food; good local atmosphere away from the manic Euston Road.

Finalmente nos sentamos en l parte más trasera, súper cómoda, sin mucho ruido. Pedimos para cenar unos champiñones rellenos que estaban deliciosos, unos nachos que aunque se les olvidaron y salieron tarde estaban ricos pero muyyyyy picantes, un pastel de pollo y puerro, y mac and cheese. Sitio muy recomendable y la comida muy rica!

If you want a quiet retreat from noisy, hectic Kings Cross this is definitely the place for you. A traditional, possibly Victorian boozer with Holts bitter on tap. Wide range of bar snacks including pork scratchings, peanuts and crisps. More substantial fare also available for upwards of £8 including burgers and salads. Tables outside on two streets as pub is on the corner. There are hanging baskets although they were a little unkempt/overgrown. There are not a lot of good pubs in the area so thos was very welcome.

Los pubs ingleses me encantan. Éste tiene moqueta hasta en el baño. El pollo cajún is lovely. Lo tenemos cerca del hotel y para terminar el día, tomarte unas cerves y algo para cenar es ideal. Los camareros son muy rápidos y amables. Hay uno con un bigote muy chulo que es simpatiquísimo.

Encantador pub 'olde worlde' con un personal cálido y acogedor y un ambiente encantador. . . . . . pero, estaba demasiado ocupado, nos quedamos por un corto tiempo, y como requeríamos comida y bebida, seguimos adelante. We stopped here one night for dinner with our seventeen-year-old granddaughter. It was down the street from our hotel, and we were searching out all the pubs around us. This was the nicest. First, the pub is beautiful inside, warm and inviting, with a typical old English look and feel, but without being overdone. The menu was more-or-less standard pub fare, but was well prepared. Portions were large. Service was also pretty standard, i.e., good. We enjoyed our dinner and the evening at Skinners Arms very much and would definitely go back.

We were in the area as we had booked lunch in a nearby restaurant. Having arrived early we decided to find a pub for a drink. Thankfully we decided to ignore the O'Neills on the corner which was packed and found the Skinners Arms. Definitely worth the extra 2 minutes walk. There is a great choice of beers, wines and spirits and reasonably priced (unlike a number of London establishments). Although we didn't eat, most of the tables around us did and the food looked lovely. Judging by the empty plates, these patrons agreed.

A big thank you to a gentleman and a true hero working at Skinners Arms, who saved our afternoon by not allowing one person (definitely not a gentleman) to steal my phone from the table. After a glass of rum and coke, we did not react as fast as we should have, when a conversation between me and my friend was interrupted by a person with a bunch of leaflets, a bunch looking like a huge hand fan, which covered our table in a second. The Bartender from Skinner's Arms appeared suddenly, moving a thief on the side, and after concluding that the phone is still on the table, asking the thief out. We left astonished by how quick and fearless the reaction was!

Wirklich gemütlich und eine große Auswahl an Bier, die Küche bestätigt aber alle Vorurteile gegenüber der Englischen Küche. Hier haben wir an andere Stelle weit besseres Essen bekommen.

Seit vielen Jahren komme ich regelmäßig in diesen Pub - gemütlich, authentisch und sehr empfehlenswert. Wer einen echten englischen Pub besuchen will, ist hier goldrichtig.

We walked past this pub by chance looking for somewhere for a drink and food. Lovely pub with great character and charm with great staff. The price of the drinks and food is excellent value for where the pub is. The menu is not massive but what is on there is top class. Would visit again if in area.

On a passé 6 nuits dans le quartier et on y a mangé 4 fois. Recettes familiale bien cuisiné es et rapport qualité prix parfait. Il faut juste savoir qu on se installé seuls a une table dispo et on commande et paie au comptoir

Met up with friends here for lunch. They serve Greene King IPA, which is a plus point. We ordered four main courses, ranging from my gammon, egg and chips to steak pie and sausages and mash. All four meals, my own in particular, were excellent. They could not be faulted.

Stayed at local hotel and wanted pub experience so we headed over for a tasty beverage. Daughter and i each had a pint and we weren’t disappointed. We decided to grab a bite to eat and that’s when our experience changed slightly. Daughter had “handmade” burger and it was delicious. I picked the fish and chips and i can not recommend. There were lots of people there but none of them were eAting. It could have been the time of day or it could have been instead a place that best serves beer. We finished off our beers and left more than 75% of our food. We should have told staff about the undercooked fish but we headed out.

O Skinner's não estava em nenhuma lista dos pubs mais recomendados que vi, mas deveria. Despretensioso, com aquele ar clássico de pub londrino, é o local onde recebi o melhor atendimento e onde comi o melhor fish 'n' chips de minhas duas estadias em Londres. Os nachos deles são excelentes também. Os atendentes do bar são muito atenciosos e disponíveis, com excelentes recomendações de cervejas. O melhor de tudo isso? Os preços são justos, até mesmo baratos para o padrão londrino. Seguirei voltando sempre que voltar a Londres.

Detta ställe har den bästa fish and chips jag har ätit. Fisken var super och så fräsh. Men man får typ en hel fisk känns det som. Så det är 5/5 och kostade 11 GBP. Sedan tog vi en rostad kyckling med grönsaker och den va max 3/5 då allt var lite mosat och kycklingen va typ inte ens grillad. Men shysst ställe på en tvärgatan.

Lovely pub with a traditional feel. The ales and stoudt were good and served with a smile. But the best part after a delicious meal (steak and ale pie & fish and chips) was the sticky toffee pudding with custard for dessert.

From time to time, I love to spend a few days in London, and I try to eat as local as possible. 40 years ago, it was all about fish & chips and steak & ale pies, not about Eat and Prêt à Manger and Itsu (which I like also, but for a short stay I'd rather eat real English food like when I visited England in my youth). I had taken another way to go back to my hotel last night and noticed this pub which did not have hamburgers on the menu, quite a good thing I thought. And I found out that the best meal I've had in my stay was in a pub close to my hotel, so it is worth it changing path sometimes! Excellent steak & ale pie with excellent cider, awsome toffee cake and nice service (the boss I guess and a young man dressed in black, except for the blond girl who was a bit grumpy, too bad). My neighbour took fish & ships which looked great, I'll try them next time.

Pub dinner with friends. Had the hake fillet with vegetables and it was cooked to perfection, very nice! Everyone in our party thought the food was good. The owner is friendly and gives great advice for the ales. The interior decor is of a traditional pub. And it’s just a few minutes away from King’s Cross station, so very handy. To recommend!

This place is really convenient for St Pancreas and Kings Cross stations. Its a traditional pub offering a good menu and food quality with a range of ales although sadly the Abbot was off. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

This was a brilliant pub to find in the heart of London. The staff were friendly and there was plenty of choice. The food prices were very reasonable and it was all well made and extremely tasty. My burger was huge! It was a good place to pass the time with family before they headed back up north. It is very close to Kings cross and no more than 10 mins to Euston. When we arrived at 12.15 it was filling up nicely and i am not surprised to see it was packed by one o clock with people hanging about at the bar hoping for a table.....recommended!!!!

Popped into this pub as it shares our surname. Inside is very traditional with wood panels on the wall. They have some good beer on offer, usual London prices, and the food options looked good, although we didn't eat. It's worth a look if you're in the area.
