Really helpful staff - supported us needing a wheelchair space and toddler space. We ate delicious food, all choosing differently and unanimously happy with our choices. All round positive experience, thank you.

Love going here to get my lunch. There mixed salads are lovely. Their chicken soup is great too.

Roni's Scrambled is well worth it! Coffee is amazing, fresh orange juice is lovely and the staff are very friendly! They are very accommodating for allergies too!

Pretty awful service, despite being almost empty. My mint tea was hot water with four half-dead leaves, and the milk in my friend’s tea had split. Left the drinks without paying. Choose any of the other places on Swains Lane.

Only stopped for a quick five but was extremely reasonably priced considering its location and great tasting bits I tried.

Lovely little cafe nestled next to Hampstead heath. Quite pricey for what you get but a nice stop to relax with a coffee after a long walk!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ronis and I must say, it was an outstanding experience, largely thanks to our server, Waleed. From the moment we walked in, Waleed made us feel incredibly welcome with his warm smile and genuine hospitality. His attention to detail and commitment to providing top-notch service were evident throughout our meal.

I’m not sure it’s possible to be less bothered about serving people. I’m not sure it’s possible to take longer to provide a takeaway sandwich. If you need half an hour to do that you to say so at the point of order.

Came in with my mum to have a coffee and I just wanted to say , the customer service was terrible from one of the staff . Our server was respectful as he was quick to take our order. However a girl with glasses working there had a lot of attitude , asked her twice for the bill and she said yes without looking at me but walking straight but never brought it so I got up my self and went inside and asked for the bill . I’m sorry but if you don’t like your job it’s not any of the customers fault. Treat your customers the way you would want to be treated. This is the only cafe that doesn’t show respect to their customers , before you managers reply to customers reviews , you should have a word with your staff.

I occasionally go here - particularly for their fresh teas - but I wanted to leave a review because I was touched by the kindness of the staff here recently. I swim nearby year-round and forgot (somehow!) my entire swim kit backpack here recently after having a post-swim coffee with a friend. Safe to say I was very annoyed with myself as it was full of expensive gear. Roni's were amazing - they put the bag aside for me for a good two weeks until I came back, picking up the phone immediately when I called and not hesitating to help me out in the slightest. Thank you!!

Only a 2 star review for Ronis today. Decent brunch, nice enough waitress. But experience spoiled by the refusal of Gabby the manager to allow one of our party to replace the beans in the English breakfast with some mushrooms (available on the menu on other dishes). Been to this Ronis about 10 times before and never been an issue to swap out the odd item before as long as it’s within reason of course. Waitress went off to ask if it was possible but returned to say the computer (Gabby) says no. My friend could indeed have a few mushrooms if he paid for them separately. Felt really stingy and unnecessarily mean to refuse a simple swap like that and to try amd charge for it. Also to have zero interest in accomodating a simple request and to have no regard for your customers. It seems Gabby has decided that she should now run this fabulous place like a military school canteen and you just have to take what you’re given. Left with slightly bad taste in our mouths. Guess it’s off to Kalendar or one of the other fab cafes on this stretch next week.

Staff could not answer basic questions about the contents of their menu, though they were polite. Bagel was stale and the contents was average. Croissant also was stale. Not worth it for the price. Disappointing experience.

Some great brunch dishes and friendly service but the place always looks like it needs a deep clean.

Very unwelcoming girl/barista behind the till. Came across very aggravated and rude. Asked a question about a sandwich didn’t pay attention, served the person behind me before my order and served their babychinos boiling hot had to remake. Side note, music too loud.

Normally I don’t write reviews. This is my first and it’s well deserved. Where do I even start… I want to give a special shoutout to Rachel for making our dining experience truly memorable. When we come back we hope you take care of us again! The food was amazing too and very well priced, the service, out of this world.

They need to work on their food. Packaged ravioli with poor quality pesto isn’t going to keep customers coming. Please rethink your menu. Fresh pesto isn’t difficult to make!

Great place for amazing fresh and tasty food. Go for the hummus, bagels, wraps and huge salads. Great chips! Lots of brunch items too but didn't try these.. it's all really well priced, and served by friendly and efficient staff. I wish I had a Roni's down south where I live!

Freezing establishment. Door doesn't close properly and every minute someone new enters to buy something, the door is left wedged open . For folks dining in you are left freezing. Staff pay no attention to this despite seeing this go on and watching customers continuously get up to close the door properly. This is not ok when the temperature outside is 7 degrees. The chicken soup was tiny for the price , watery and tasted really diluted with hardly any ingredients. The establishment should feel embarrassed serving up such a poor quality and small portion. Tea was average. Won't come back. Overrated, overpriced and not comfortable

This is my wife's favourite spot for brunch after swimming in the Ladies Pond on Hampstead Heath. She raves about the great service and tasty food and I have to agree with her on this front. We rocked up for weekend brunch and managed to find an outdoor table easily enough - although the earlier rain might have been a factor. From the instant of our arrival the waiting staff were very attentive and helpful but didn't mind waiting while we decided what to order. In the end I went for the Greek Breakfast along with a fresh apple/orange juice. The order arrived pretty quickly with there being enough food to keep me satisfied. It all tasted pretty good and everyone else seemed to enjoy their choices. The only downside is that outside you're sitting next to a fairly busy main road but actually you pretty soon forget that it's there. I can see why Roni's is my wife's favourite breakfast location!

We went for the afternoon for hot chocolate, but they gave us a cold chocolate with no taste . Very expensive for this service

Average bagel, fantastically friendly service

Though I live on swaines i.have not been here often but when i have the food and service has been really good. Visiting a couple of weekends Anjolo was amazing. I think.he was serving on his own bit he was whizzing round the tables like there was 3 of him. Always with a smile on his face and somehow still finding time to engage with the customers. Old school amazing customer service, the breakfast was excellent too. Will be going back more often.

The staff at this coffee shop were friendly and accommodating, which made for a pleasant visit. However, I found the food to be quite average, lacking the quality I had hoped for.

Fantastic is not a good enough word to describe this place. My Mother and I were served by a lovely young man, who was very kind and gave us great recommendations. I would definitely go again!

Accommodating staff, able to allow for larger groups. Unusual layout to the store, felt quite busy despite not having many people there at the time. Breakfast was enjoyable albeit served on an unnecessarily large plate. Would recommend to those in the area as not many other similar places (Gail’s doesn’t have the range of food and others lack seating space).

Coffee and a cake..... service was.... unusual..... "no we don't have any dairy free pastries". Oh, yes we do.... It LOOKS like a coffee shop. With a glass serve over counter.... where you look at what you want.... and then order.... This caused a MASSIVE issue. Yes the food was lovely. The coffees including the dairy free cappuccino were fine. The added service charge was.... a bit much considering we self served. Ah well!

Overpriced and very disappointing bagel - especially when there are much better and cheaper ones about. Having seen the Rosslyn Hill, Hampstead branch recently received a 0/5 food safety inspection, I wonder if the owners' eyes have been taken off the ball as they expand their empire.

Always a favourite for people watching and eating. Let down by their odd scruffy table top call-gadgets on their little rusty wobbly stands. Dog water bowls would be useful, and birdmucked paving slabs could be cleaned

The service here is shockingly slow and inattentive, especially if you’re sitting outside. They need more staff. Way more staff. It’s a successful small chain and surely can afford one or two more waiting staff at busy times /weekends etc. SORT IT OUT GUYS!

Whilst this review is about Roni’s in Swains Lane, it is important to note the chain in general has gradually got worse over the years. They claim their baked goods are freshly cooked on the day, but taste undercooked from frozen. The staff are unhelpful, particularly around allergies (what has nuts) and the bagels in the cabinet look wrapped in clingfiln to death old. Whilst lots of chains have tried to save money, the quality here has taken a nosedive since covid. Will never be setting foot in here again. To the owner re their response: How would you know that the handling of allergens isn’t good? How about send in a mystery shopper or pledge to check your staffs skills rather than claim our experience of your shop was false.

Dropped in for a coffee towards the end of a ride. Very friendly staff, great coffee and amazing pistachio cannoli - arguably one of the best I’ve had. Will make this a regular either before or after repeated of Swains Hill. “To fuel or refuel, that is the question” 😀

Good fresh food, friendly service, unpretentious and very reasonably priced. Loved it. We had wraps which we loved and really good coffee / fresh mint tea.

The chicken schnitzel pitta wrap was one of the most inedible things I’ve ever had the misfortune of ordering. The chicken pieces were bright orange and incredibly processed. Just horrible. Avoid

A pleasant if basic cafe /coffee shop and the decors very plain. There's a range of freshly made items on the menu with plenty of food and drink but the service was a bit on the slow side for no obvious reason (maybe a new waiter as seemed a little distracted).

Years ago, Gails was an oasis on Swain's Lane when there was little else on offer and locals would put up with astonishing prices and indifferent attitudes from the staff. Now Swain's has transformed and all the locals go to the friendlier and tastier places along the strip. Which just leaves tourists at Gails, for whom you feel sorry - they come to Hampsted Heath for a lovely walk and a nice cafe treat afterwards, only for bossy staff to bark at them, overcharge them and make them wait and wait and wait for their food.

Absolutely delicious and bursting with flavors (along with freshly made ingredients and the softest chicken pieces ever). I can't believe you can't find this quality in Central London. Beautiful surroundings as well.

I've been to roni's several times on swains lane, Hampstead and belsize village. I have ordered the same thing, the sabich, in the hope that they will get it right but every time they forget key elements. Overall it feels like a diner inside, not very atmospheric.

once you gain one of the demand seats you just don’t want to leave. Especially as my reason for visit is the extremely good value wine ..the prosecco is perfect complaint on nice on a sunny day after a trip to nearby ponds. Last but not least reason for coming is the excellent, friendly staff, Even on a 30 degrees sunny , full to capacity day they manage to keep smile and good service.

Super friendly lovely little cafe! The staff are amazing, especially Elif!! Who’s a firm fave with my daughter, she won’t let me pass without looking for her! Great coffee and great atmosphere. So amazing with kids. Highly recommend.

Elif is amazing! ‘A ray of sunshine’ who welcomes me every morning with a genuine lovely smile and a genuinely ‘how are you today’ interest! I’ve been struggling with a very painful sciatica lately, and my daily trip to Ronnies was a little break from all that. Elif was SO kind and helpful, asking me EVERY day how I was getting on and I felt SO looked after that it touched me deeply. Elif is a very genuine and gentle person who loves to give her customers a lovely time/break. She deserves the best! Thank you Elif for your support by just being so attentive, kind and helpful during these last 5 difficult weeks for me. BW, May

Lovely bagels , however this means nothing when the customer service is bad. The shop was virtually empty, I got told to wait outside for a take away order. I waited for 15 minutes, and was approached by a rude waitress with an attitude who came with my order without it in a bag. When I asked for a bag, she had even more attitude and handed the bag to me with what seemed like disgust. As a local resident I will not be visiting here again, this is the third time I have experienced bad customer service here. The first two times I put it down to the shop being busy , but this time it was empty and my experience was still negative.

Yesterday was the second hot day and we tried to find a nice spot to enjoy some drinks and food, in fact we found Roni’s. Good service and food, specially the short guy with a lot of beard and the tall and skinny guy.

Unfortunately the experience was awful. The place was virtually empty but still had to wait 10 minutes for a menu from a waitress with a bad attitude. After another 15 minutes my cappuccino arrived freezing cold. Another customer also complained of the same thing. My friend had ordered a coke which never materialised. When the bad attitude waitress asked what drink had I ordered after a further 10 minutes we decided to call it quits. Cancelling the food. Which I don’t like to do. Apparently they had a new system. It doesn’t work

Avoid! We ordered catering for our son's birthday thorough the website. However, when coming to collect they claimed they haven't received any order from me. However, they charged me and I even received a confirmation email from them. Roni's just ruined our party. But to add to all of this they didn't even apologise. When asking for a refund, they claimed they never received a payment which I clearly see that it's not the case and told me to talk to PayPal. Absolutely horrible service and rud for front. Absolute disappointment. I would not recommend

Appaling service - visited 29th May - waiters & waitresses were struggling and seemed flustered * had to wait over an hour for our lunch * they ran out of white bread (note they are a bakery) * ordered a wrap but came out in a pitta - informed the waitress who took the order away to change. Came back and the chef refused to change - a real muppet.

This place used to be fantastic but since lockdown has been extremely poor. Service is awful. Rude staff that don’t listen and on two occasions I was served the wrong dishes. Chicken schnitzel wrap is basically a wrap with no chicken. They also served food in dirty plates and dirty glasses which I sent back twice as well as being given no cutlery. Standards really need to be sorted!

I just cannot recommend enough. This is my first visit and I just ate the grilled chicken schwarma in a pita. Absolutely delicious and bursting with flavours (along with freshly made ingredients and the softest chicken pieces ever). I can't believe you can't find this quality in Central London such as Chelsea (where I used to live). Beautiful surroundings as well. I would highly recommend sitting outside. I will def be back on more occasions.

Local favourite! Across the menu there's a number of items you'll want to try. It's the main reason we come back pretty regularly. Servings are high quality and big, and always filling. Great coffee too
