Avevo visto Sketch sui social, passandoci davanti ho deciso di fermarmi per un aperitivo e, purtroppo, l’ho trovato un po’ al di sotto delle aspettative. L’estetica è interessante, forse lo riproverò per cena.

I chose to book Sketch as I thought it would be a great place to celebrate a special occasion. In reality it was disappointing and overpriced with poor service. The dress code mentioned on the website is not enforced, and there were kids in the bar when we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday night. The drinks were nice but the overall experience was deeply average. To top it off I was charged a no show fee of £40 despite attending the booking. This was refunded and an apology given but it’s not the point, it made an average experience even worse. Wouldn’t recommend this place as there are far nicer cocktail bars in London that are better value and offer better service - where you won’t go home feeling like you’ve been ripped off.

So disappointed. We had been so looking forward to this and whilst the place looks great, the food was average, over priced and absolutely not worth it. £12 service charge added and absolutely not warranted and then a charity donation added as well! For a burger, beef dish and 2 glasses of white wine (not even nice wine) - our bill was over £90. After lunch in the parlour we then went to the East Bar (I’d pre-booked and would have been charged had we not turned up), the bar men were great to be fair but the atmosphere was dead and they again added a service charge for pouring 2 glasses of wine (again not the best wine). It all looks the part but unfortunately it just isn’t all that. In summary, Staff ok, some were friendlier than others. Food was average at best, wine was awful, decor lovely!

Really cool vibe with good drinks. A little expensive but definitely an experience spot. The location is close to the main area too.

Really enjoyed our experience at Sketch. Lovely, professional welcome and service was fab- as was the food. There was plenty of it and reasonably priced too. Would certainly go again!

From the moment we walked in we were impressed. From the beauty of the decor to the incredible service from the reception desk to our server and the other team members we encountered. We were also able to meet the Director Of Guest Experience, Angus. His passion for Sketch and his guests is felt by everyone who enters. We had lunch in the Parlour and hand a wonderful time. As we were talking at the table and enjoying our cocktails the music changed and a surprise performance happened. Our server Sophia was fantastic. She was friendly and attentive. She took incredible care of us and she gave us wonderful recommendations and really made our experience memorable. We started our meal with a Glow Shot and then moved onto a Burrata Salad while enjoying our cocktails. My friend ordered the Your Love which he really enjoyed. They also have my favorite tequila so I was excited about that and enjoyed it. We moved on to order the steak and salmon for our entrees and the steak was cooked to perfection. My friend really enjoyed his salmon. We are still talking about lunch and I’ll be visiting again soon to celebrate a friend’s birthday!

Excellent food, vibe and service. We didn’t have a reservation but the front desk managed to squeeze us into the Parlour for lunch. The menu has good non-dairy options. There was a surprise ballerina dancing to Christmas music for 2 mins during our meal. What an overall excellent experience. We will be back.

WE were very disappointed . Due probably to a mix up due to us we ended up in the Parlour rather than main restaurant We had a lunch booking at 2 pm The food was very disappointing and tired. When we tried to order desserts 3 of our choices were unavailable.One of our party described the coffee as the worst she ha ever had. Service was OK

A satisfying environment, letting me cool down and relax with a cup of tea or a drink. I have to come back again. Music 10/10 Tea 8/10 Service 10/10 Design 10/10

היינו אחה״צ ב Afernoon Tea המחיר אחיד שכולל כריכים ועוגות מעוצבות וטעימות. כל סוגי התה ללא הגבלה . אירוח יוצא מן הכלל. המקום מפואר עם תפאורה מיוחדת. לא לפספס לעלות לקומת השרותים, משהו מיוחד ומפואר שלא רואים בשום מקום. השרות מצויין וניתן לקבל תוספות לכל המנות. יש לציין את המלצרית Octavia ואת מנהל האירוח Gunther.

Quirky, fun decor but terrible food! The vegetarian lentil dish was particularly awful. Sea bass was hard to find in the tempura batter and the asparagus starter was beyond bland. Chocolate mousse was ok. Nice staff. Offered gnocchi drenched in cheese as an alternative to the lentils. £50 per head! Avoid.

We had lunch in the Glade room then moved to the Parlour to have desserts and a giggle. Felicity, a lovely young lady who attended to me and my rowdy group of fifty-something-year-old ladies, made it all worthwhile. No demand was too much and all with a smile. We even encroached on her space by touching the fabric of her dress without asking and she squeamishly stood still LOL, it was hilarious. We are Africans and something like randomly touching a stranger's fabric to feel the texture, albeit annoying, is not a huge faux pas to us, especially when you have been in conversation with them, as we had been with Felicity. LOL. We were embroiled in our conversations and before we realised it, Felicity finished her shift and didn't tip her! She'd probably had enough of us and snuck off. Hope for another chance to meet her and say thanks. Please thank her for us with a nice tip if you are in the Parlour, she's a lovely blond Welsh lass. Thank you! oh her recommendations from the menu were also spot on for my party

This place is really cool. So quirky. Food is very imaginative and creative so dont go here if you're not open to trying new things. The venue and the food is an instagrammers dream. I've been a few tmes, there are a few different rooms you can book into to have a different experience all round. The afternoon tea is nice and so is the dinner menu. Give it a go!

This was on my 'list' of places to try. I made a booking for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Lovely venue. Think Alice in Wonderland type of place. Quirky and cute. Staff are very friendly and pleasant. Good service. Despite only being able to have the table for an hour, I was not rushed and food comes out quickly as well. Cool music. Clean. They don't take reservations for all service times. Check online. The breakfast menu isn't huge but there is a sufficient choice. I went with an iced black americano and the acai bowl. Both were well presented and nice. Freshly prepared. However, I expected to be blown away by the acai bowl. I am not sure if acai was the best thing to call it. You could taste yoghurt which was purple in colour but very little in terms of acai. It was nice but not like the bowls I have eaten in South America or Asia which are bursting with fruity flavour. The portion looked big but the bowl was shallow so it was just right. Some may find that it is not enough. This is a place to go for 'pretty' food, atmosphere and to tick it off your list. I enjoyed it and I was glad that I went. It wouldn't be a place for a regular visit.

The decoration of the place is rather tacky and cheap. Drinks were over priced, tea was quite horrendous with tea leaves crumbs still left in the cup. One of their staff told us we are ridiculous when I made the complaint … serious how is anyone could possibly survive with this kind of customer services. Do not recommend.

Took a friend for to sketch for a birthday breakfast. Great selection with unusual tastes. The food and service were both amazing. Staff were friendly and even surprised her with a birthday cupcake. The parlour is so unusually decorated and we loved it. We were there just when the restaurant opened so it was quiet. The venue is lovely and the staff were generally friendly. My husband and I booked afternoon tea to celebrate my 40th as it's a place I've always wanted to go to.Unfortunately the afternoon tea was shockingly bad. I advised that I'm vegetarian and my husband is on a dairy free diet. For some reason we were given the same sandwiches, cakes and scone. The sandwiches were ok with only one containing any decent flavour. There was a hard crispy sweet round item (see pics) that were rock solid and tasted really bitter. Most of the sweet items were dry and tasteless. The scones turned up after we had finished everything else - they were dry and crumbly. I was given margarine instead of clotted cream. No clotted cream arrived even after I asked for some. It was clear that we were given gluten free scones...I'm sorry but gluten free or not...an establishment like Sketch should be able to do much better. Service towards the end was really slow. We had to ask for tea twice and waited at least 15minutes for the bill. Overall I was totally disappointed in Sketch and wish I had booked Claridge's instead. If you have any allergies, I wouldn't bother going to Sketch because you won't get the quality or great customer service you'd expect from a place like this. I've been to the Ritz for a previous birthday and their afternoon tea was absolutely amazing. I wish Sketch was just as good

A nice experience for my children! It was a shame they had not decorated the entrance - but the kids were desperate to see the egg toilets! Tan sobrevalorado y caro. Fui a desayunar aquí con mi amigo. Ambos pedimos el gofre y fue muy decepcionante. Conseguí un gofre rectangular tibio servido simple y una jarra de salsa de chocolate y una olla de crema al lado. La presentación fue horrible y el gofre no fue tan agradable, se veía como algo que saldrías de un carrito o paquete de la calle. No es lo que esperaba del boceto en absoluto. Contemporáneo, ecléctico, moderno, kitsch. . . ¡algo para todos! Visitamos para cenar y tomar algo y lo pasamos de maravilla. La comida era deliciosa y bien presentada, y la amplia variedad de bebidas que se ofrecían era excelente. Los cubículos de los inodoros son únicos y deben verlos por sí mismos. Ça faisait longtemps que je n'étais pas venue chez Sketch. Mais là ils ont changé leur carte pour les afternoon tea, et le résultat est au delà de mes attentes. Les sandwiches sont excellents, surtout celui aux brocolis, les pâtisseries ne sont pas en reste. J'ai oublié de préciser que ça commence par un œuf cocotte accompagné d'une cuillère de vrai caviar !Le seul bémol est qu'on nous a pratiquement imposé une bouteille d'eau qui nous a quand même coûté 4,5 livres hors service. Alors que la plupart des tables autour avaient des carafes d'eau. Ils devaient connaître le truc, les petits malins.

A really cool and interesting restaurant, split between 3-4 areas. We visited during Christmas time, the food was very good and the service was excellent. It gets very busy so make sure you book in advance.

Wonderful afternoon tea prepared by Chef Christophe and his team. Really worth the three Michelin stars.

Everything from the quirky prints lining the walls (by David Shrigley) to the string quartet in the corner (playing the Beatles), this is London at its most polished, freshest and most exciting. - Daisy, a Collection Curator at The Plum Guide who has lived in London for two years.

I recommend this place for a drink in Mayfair. Sketch’s reputation is well known but it’s always worth a visit in person. It’s not just a case of style over substance however, the bartenders are very competent with their mixology knowledge.

I don’t write reviews. I’m kind of a tell the the face kinda person. However I know that this way the management will see how great there staff are. Cutting out the middle man. And when I say what a remarkable meal we had I’m not balls*iting. I believe our server “Annie”? Was wonderful always filled with a smile. And very curtious. The food itself was not same old food. Or the tiny portions expected with expencive restaurants. Well done overall. Only thing I would say is the door guy is a bit over bearing. Can’t wait to revisit in the future. Oh and one last thing...toilets.

After reading numerous reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect but my experience was wholly positive. We had booked breakfast and were quickly shown into the Parlour. The staff were friendly and even pointed out that their amazing costumes that day were a legacy of Fashion Week, the week before. We had the full breakfast coming in at £22 (plus optional service charge and optional charity donation) for fruit juice, eggs of choice (tempura eggs and eggs benedict are both to be recommended), a pastry, toast and coffee. I feel much happier to have spent this much on a nicely served breakfast than if I had spent £9.00 on the standard self service breakfast in our budget hotel. I think dinner would probably have been out of our price range though! We liked the decor and although the egg pod bathroom was not open, the other bathroom was pretty spectacular if you like sparkles.

Expensive but a great experience and cool atmosphere. Very cool vibe and super fun. Would definitely return.

We booked the Sketch Parlour for breakfast during our London stay primarily because of its incredible social media presence. It's an Instagram darling and our teenage daughters couldn't wait to take pictures in the schwank bathroom with the colour ceiling and pod toilets so that they could post pictures and share with their friends. Alas it was closed. And we had no idea ahead of time that it would be closed. In fact the whole front of the building was also under renovations and normally it has a beautiful Christmas display..There is no question that sketch is an amazing place with incredible interior decorating. Even without the infamous bathrooms you can tell this is a fascinating location. The Christmas decorations were everywhere and we still were able to take great pictures of the Parlour but there was no doubt we were disappointed.The food was OK although pricey and the service was average.

This was our 3rd visit to sketch and whilst the food remains very good I can’t genuinely say its 5 star excellent.

Visited today with my partner for the brunch "comfort food" menu. We were both really looking forward to it as this would be the last thing we would be doing on our London break before heading home. Upon arrival the staff at the door (yes it's like entering a nightclub) were OK enough, not exactly friendly and inviting though. We were seated in the parlour area, the place is pretty funky, not really my thing as IMO a little bit tacky and pretentious but hey that's my opinion, my partner really liked it though and I can see why others do. Things started to go down hill from here. We first ordered some sparkling water which arrived with no issues. Next my partner tried to order a soda water with elderflower cordial. Not exactly a big ask however the waitress just said "is it on the menu"? (which it isn't as the drinks section is quite poor and very limited), acted as if she'd never heard of elderflower cordial, and that was the end of that conversation. I'd bet my house they had elderflower cordial in the rather extensive bar behind us. Next was food. My partner ordered the fish and chips I then ordered the "Sketch dog," their take on a hotdog. Shortly after ordering the waitress then came back and told me their were no hot dogs left. Not really very good considering we were their around quarter to 12, which is 15 minutes after commencing brunch service. (There is more to this which I will come back to). Instead I ordered the mac and cheese. The food itself-- extremely average, absolutely nothing to write home about. The fish and chips was OK, had far better from the local fish and chip shop and costs nowhere near 17 quid. My mac and cheese again was just about OK, the Marks and Spencers ready meal version is 10 x better and again nowhere near 14 quid. Overall very let down by the food, was expecting a little more effort to be put in and Sketch putting their own little take on things, however it really was comparable to what you'd get in a run of the mill pub on the 2 for £10 menu. Finally, when paying our bill we noticed that a lady who came in well after us was eating... Yes you guessed it! A Sketch dog! She was on her own and writing in a notepad as she was eating.. A food critic maybe? Maybe I'm just being paranoid and making assumptions, maybe they missed the last hotdog when checking earlier? Maybe they managed to scrape together and magic up one more hot dog out the back? Very suspicious whatever the case and to be honest, kind of just summed up our visit. MASSIVELY overpriced, overhyped, prententious and extremely average. A shame as was really excited to be going but all we got was average pub food, not what you'd expect from a 3 star restaurant even if it is just their brunch menu. I'm assuming their normal menu is as good as is made out to be, however I would definately not recommend going for either breakfast or brunch...try Eggybreak in Notting Hill, spectacular brunch and brekky offerings! RANT OVER.

My daughter booked for us as a treat in London. The decor was exciting and we were all hyped for a delicious breakfast. I ordered truffled scrambled eggs. What I received was a medium sized bowl of oily truffle infused scrambled eggs. Thats it. No accompaniment whatsoever. This dish cost 22 pounds ($50 AUD). I was shocked.

Visited for my birthday and found the food to be bland and staff to be slow but over-worked....waitress had really nasty bad breath which put me off. The food itself was bland and I found the decor dated personally...I know a lot like it but I found it dark. I liked the colourful toilets though! I don't understand the hype about the place...just didn't like the food or decor.

Go for the toilet experience if you have a bit of cash to spare! Near Oxford Circus tube station. Food was average, service was average. Expect waiting time for food. Toilets was the most beautiful. Better to book seats beforehand if you can.

The place is great, food is good also. On our last visit we were squashed into very small space so staff were walking around us and a bit pushing ... first time I took my husband there and he hated the place. As this isn’t a first time for me - I give a benefit of a doubt for this visit.

This is a great place - we had a wonderful waitress who made trip even more special. Food was great and ambience of place really good. Loved the Christmas Street. Can’t wait to go back.

Well where do I start - lovely place and atmosphere. Service was pleasant. And then to the food. Camembert was full of liquid cheese. The duck was so salty you couldn’t tasted anything and as for venison pie, it reminded me of tasteless school dinner slop.

In the middle of Mayfair and a stones throw from Vogue House. The place to start your day quite Fashionably. Staff friendly, professional and the food on offer unique and true to The Sketch “Brand”. Definitely worth the experience.

Food was awful. Bland and tasteless. Was told I wasn’t allowed my shopping bag with me because it was branded yet the guy on the next table was allowed his. Very expensive, would not return

Don’t get me wrong - the restaurant is fab and menu is wonderful. But the bar snacks are delish, come super quick and mean you can have a night there without a reservation. Overall, brilliant place for a night out although table service can be a little slow (we had almost finished our cheeseboard by the time the red wine arrived and they were ordered together)

FAB.U.LOUS!!!! This is a must see and do when in Mayfair! I went today with my adult son and teenage daughter and we will be regulars from. Ow on! The glade is next for us!! Thank you for a wonderful experience, delicious food and drinks and wonderful staff....oh.....and the toilets!!!!!!

We came here this morning for breakfast with no booking and the host was nice enough to find us a table. The place is visually really nice and keeps you busy looking at the different decor elements. After we were seated, it took a long time for the waitress to come to the table and when she did, we realized she had a cold as she had a heavy cough and was sneezing. It was clear she wasn't feeling very well. Not to make her responsible for being there however management must have taken the decision to get her off her shift. There is no reason to have a person with a clear and heavy cold waiting on people or handling people's dishes. As expected because of the cold, the waitress wasn´t very responsive or attentive to our table in general. We both ordered the Sketch Breakfast with different choices for both of us. The Capp and Macchiato were good. The Eggs Benedict were overcooked and the Hollandaise was cold. The Scrambled Eggs were good. The Pain au Chocolat and the Chaisson with Pears didn't event make it to the playoffs: the puff pastry was very rubbery as if the viennoiserie had been heated in a microwave. Orange and grapefruit juices were good. Not so much of a destination.

We did afternoon tea at Sketch for my wife's birthday as she's always wanted to go.

Absolutely loved the Vegetarian taster menu, so clever and definitely didn’t miss fish or meat. The hosts and staff were brilliant and we had a fabulous evening. Definitely more on the expensive side but 100% worth it.

Went for afternoon tea with a friend earlier this year and at this point I must add that I’ve experienced many ‘posh’ afternoon teas.

Went here on Saturday Night. Probably one of the busier nights but still inexcusable to rush your paying guests to the extent that they fid. The wait was between 5-10 minutes to get in, but that is the approximate duration they wanted us to stay. The prices are very high as well, you’d rather go to a pub or hotel lobby and feel welcomed.

I am disappointed to write this review as I have previously had good experiences at Sketch but unfortunately I won’t be returning.

We made a reservation for a party of 6 , to celebrate my sons graduation. On making the booking we were told 6 guests per table was the maximum that the pink parlour holds . On arrival we had cocktails in the bar , made to look like one was in a forest, very nice . Then we were taken to our table, which was at the back of the restaurant, next to the staff cutlery station the door for waste and the computer for printing off customers bill . At first glance I knew it was going to be problematic, I asked our waitress if she could move our table and she told me quite abruptly that the table was a good one ! Really? I then had to ask a waiter if we could move as for the 3rd time of smelly waste was taken past our table , through some doors to the bins, the smell wasn’t pleasant at all . There is a need , i feel to review this table/ work station/ rubbish door situation. Not nice at all . However the Manager, Rosario, was most helpful and did move us to the opposite end of the restaurant, nicer table, which was most appreciated. Thank you . The food was amazing, the Snails were simply gorgeous and i had Lobster for my main course followed by a delicious dessert . We had cocktails through out the meal and a couple of glasses of champagne, one complimentary for my Son on the occasion of his Graduation. We love beautiful food as a family, love gorgeous presentation and it truly didn’t disappoint. Quirky toilets in the shape of eggs, Instagram worthy the whole building is rather quirky and a talking piece. From a bad start to a perfect finish, truly is worth a visit. It was a memorable meal for my Sons Graduation. Thank you, Sketch.

Do NOT bother coming here. I’ll name some of the few good things, but it was mostly awful. This place had come highly recommended, so I made a reservation for our party of six. It was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. It appears as though the entire allure of Sketch is the history and the “exclusivity factor”. The interior is very funky and interesting, which is enjoyable for pictures, but does not make up for the awful food and mediocre service, especially for being one of the most expensive afternoon teas in London. It seems as if the reason they take your credit card to reserve a table is so they can hold your hostage for payment.

I will start by saying you are 100% not paying for the tea or the food. You are paying for an experience. The service was ok and there were times where we were waiting for long periods but other times where other servers were being really attentive. Really up and down. The food was just ok. The tea I could have gotten at Starbucks. The decor was very cool and the bathroom set up was a trip. If you are charging £59 for tea and finger foods, they better be damn good. Unfortunately, they were not. We should have gone back to Hotbox for the £25 bottomless brunch because we would have at least left with a buzz. Take lots of photos. I’m actually surprised we didn’t have to pay for that.

We stopped in without reservations for a cocktail after dinner. The entrance is fun, artsy. We saw most of the rooms, which were well appointed and had a funky vibe. Definitely a cool place, with the exception of the East Bar, which portrayed inappropriate images of children and babies- disturbing, to say the least, especially as a parent. The bathrooms were cool, unlike anything I'd seen before. Not an average experience in terms of the aesthetic.

La sorpresa è che da un posto del genere ti aspetteresti del personale altezzoso.... tutt’altro!!! cordiale gentile e molto molto disponibile, considerando che molti clienti entrano praticamente solo per fotografare. Da lodare la loro gentilezza. A parte l’ambiente spettacolare abbiamo fatto colazione con porridge, yogurt e granola, caffè spremuta bottiglia d’acqua per 30 Pounds. ( 2 persone) tutto molto buono . La vetrina dei dolci, come tutti i locali del genere, deliziosa. Caro ma vale la pena . Vorrei tornare per l’afternoon-tea, carissimo......ma molto molto bello ! Top

Enjoyed the ambiance of Sketch! Came for tea and breakfast - the tea was very flavorful; the food was just average. What was notable was the cool decor. Had heard so many great things about their unique 'pod' bathroom, but they didn't let my daughter visit it- they gave the excuse that it was being cleaned- she was extremely disappointed.

Unique high tea experience with great tea selections. highly recommend. Stunning decoration matched with excellent service.

Booked 2/3 hr afternoon tea experience for after a west end show ,for special birthday, late arriving due to show finish time by half hour but phoned ahead to inform and we would have still been charged as was pre paid, despite us being well within the booking time allocated to eat and people still having afternoon tea we where refused , and not accommodated despite the fact we where well within the time frame we had paid for and would simply have been a case of eating quicker or not lingering . We where offered a cocktail each and one small fries in a basket . In what I presume was the parlour, despite this being a listed building I found the decor dull and in need of desperate refreshing .

El ambiente es realmente agradable. Me sentí como si estuviera en Alicia en el país de las maravillas. Personal agradable y excelente servicio. Sin embargo, la comida que probé era normal y los precios son un poco altos. Es agradable para una reunión de té por la tarde.
