Food and service was excellent. We had lunch n The Glades. Was quiet the day we visited so weren’t rushed even though there is time limit for the booking. I had made some little requests about our seating in the online booking form. These were noted and acted upon. I must say the staff are discreet but quietly observant. A very enjoyable lunch.

Great dining atmosphere- with 3 rooms of different themes to choose from. The design is fab, including the toilets that look like coloured rocket pods. The service was excellent. However, the food tastes pretty average, the portion sizes are on the smaller size and it was pricey (£42/person).

We had a very memorable evening. The service, the food, the atmosphere, the decoration, the lighting were very nice. Especially our server Sezen answered all our questions without getting bored and fulfilled our every request instantly.The only thing I don't like , people in inappropriate clothes. I think the restaurant should have a dress code, people in sneakers and t-shirts do not suit that atmosphere.

My first time in London with my husband. Had fabulous weather the past 2 days. We had afternoon tea at the Gallery and it was more than amazing! The Salmon lollipop was absolutely delicious. My husband loved the Lobster sandwiches and ate 3!, the Teas so wonderful!, scrumptious cakes and the butter and jam Scones! We were so stuffed, we took the last cart cakes to go!!! The 3 beautiful ladies playing the string created the most pleasant atmosphere ! And Kaycee, our very sweet waitress was so very fabulous and made it the most fun and delightful experience! I will certainly be recommending this to all!

My friend and I went for a drink in one of their bar. The drinks were great and the atmosphere too. Then he told me to go check out the bathroom, omg, what a bathroom that was. I was absolutely stunned, I loved it!!

We had an afternoon tea at the sketch and were disappointed. We found it very expensive for what it is: the cakes are too sweet, with a lot of cream, the salted part is mostly made of sandwiches whose taste has nothing original. Concerning the staff, some are sympathetic, but others are a bit conceited. One waiter does not know how to serve champagne and puts it in the glass as if it were a Turkish coffee: It makes a lot of foam and finally you pay a lot for a glass which is half empty. And to have only one hour before your table is given to somebody else is not normal considering the price. We don't recommend.

What a delightful afternoon tea! Sketch has been on my ‘todo’ list for a long time, and I was not disappointed. Pleasant friendly staff, wonderful food and a string trio accompaniment made it the perfect way to celebrate being 51! 😊

Wonderful lunch experience at Sketch. We opted for the Glade restaurant and started with the aubergine( slightly undercooked) followed by the scallops that were divine. I would encourage it to have a more diversified wine selection as it feels that there isn’t much to choose from. We went for drinks upstairs at The Parlour and had a fab time. Needless to say the rooms are superb, bringing charm, character and fun. The team is very accommodating, friendly, and professional. Thank you Sketch, see you next time!

Came here with my daughter yesterday, and I can't believe how good it was. We got the afternoon tea and the food was incredible and the waitresses were so nice and gave my daughter a free cake as it was her birthday.The food was so extraordinary and unique that I don't think any other place we go to eat food at will compare to the Sketch. The toilets were in the shape of eggs, and they were clean and quite actually relaxing. The atmosphere was lovely, and violinists were playing upto date music so customers could happily sing along while enjoying their food. Although it was quite pricey, it was definitely worth the money and do recommend to someone who deserves a treat.

Worth the hype! Absolutely amazing place. The ambience, the service and even the food was amazing! We had saucy vegetarian spaghetti, well flavoured lamb stew and a side of crunchy tasty onion rings. Definitely must go location in London and we will be back.

The food was not very good at all. They ran out of 3 of the teas, yet they pride themselves on allowing you to try all their teas. The service was extremely slow and they did not even properly help celebrate a birthday. I would NEVER return and would NEVER recommend anyone to spend a penny here.

The Gallery is such a beautiful room but I have to say the food was really disappointing! I had the Chantilly lace to start which was very strange and a mix of temperatures in a disconcerting way. My friend had the baby artichoke which was a bit nicer. For mains I had the Irish beef steak (which was actually very good) with potatoes dauphinois but I could not really say there were any dauphinois there at all, more like tiny mashed potatoes maggots that were deep fried. My friend had the cuttlefish stew which was so strange and she did not eat it! Sadly I think Sketch is a bit of a rip off with really bad food - sorry!

Honestly, the most underwhelming experience. From the moment we arrived when the doorman greeted us with his back towards us, until the moment we left, it was the most disappointing experience. I was challenged for making two reservations - I hadn't! I'd emailed to advise that I needed to change my reservation but when I didn't receive a reply I booked again as there was no option to cancel the original reservation online and I was afraid of not being able to reschedule. I needn't have worried - the place was almost empty. Maybe because it was 9am and just two other tables were occupied but the parlour lacked atmosphere even with the elaborate decor. The tables would be more suited to a children's tea party than for serving breakfast on. The table was cluttered and it was impossible to get comfortable as the height of the table clashed with the seating and our knees! The salmon was 'stuck' to the plate and I ordered gf bread to accompany my Poached Eggs Royale which was burnt on one side and underdone on the other. The muffins on my husband's Poached Eggs Benedict were overdone. I've also just had a look at the bill and I see that I've been charged an 'optional' charity donation. Whilst I have absolutely no issue making donations to charity, I was not advised of this 'option' in advance and I have no idea which charity my donation is supposedly going to - I just hope it is passed on to whichever charity is supposed to receive it. The decor is a content creator's dream but the food didn't match the social media hype for me.

The food was so seasoned... I couldn't eat it all.

We’d originally planned to visit Sketch for a lunch in 2023 but train strikes had other ideas. So a year and a bit more saving later and a lunch became a Saturday evening visit to celebrate a milestone birthday. The wait and the extra saving were worth it. Upon arrival we were escorted through to the Glade, one of a number of bars within the wider Sketch premises, where we enjoyed an excellent cocktail each before being shown to our table in the Lecture Room and Library restaurant. The surroundings were incredible – plush padded walls, pastel ceilings and a sprinkling of chandeliers. Our (very comfortable) seats were by the window in the smaller of the two dining areas. As we’d already decided on the tasting menu for food our decisions were mainly around drinks. We forewent the pre-dinner champagne and settled upon a Chardonnay to drink alongside our meal, figuring a white would better accompany the seafood courses. From amuse-bouches (should that be amuses-bouch?), through a number of seafood selections and a fantastic pork main course to the wonder that was Pierre Gagniere’s Grand Dessert (five mini-desserts of varying sweetness) our meal was an absolute delight. My personal favourite was the langoustine in seafood bisque which paired a sweet morsel of langoustine with a rich, smoky broth. We also added the optional cheese course which was served before the dessert and included generous portions of some excellent cheeses, our favourite of which was the Saint-Felicien. Service was excellent and warm throughout with no stuffiness at all, though the sommelier did go a little bit heavy on his selling of accompanying drinks (and succeeded with a glass of red each and a dessert wine). Special mention must also go to the toilets, both near the restaurant and by one of the downstairs bars – they both have to be seen to be believed. We had a fantastic experience at Sketch and won’t forget it for a very long time – a night of amazing food and escapism.

All very nice, the bar/restaurant is a must try, it's a shame that when we arrived they put us in a slightly deserted room, then going to the bathroom, famous for their design, we discovered the drinks room with many more people.

We had dinner in the Pierre Gagnaire's Lecture Room. It was decadent, opulent, fun and so, so expensive. And that, I think, is exactly what they're aiming for. The minute the champagne trolley is wheeled to your table, you know you're in trouble. My advice would be sit back, enjoy the gastronomic ride through Wonderland, and try not to think about the holiday you could book, or the charity you could start, for the cost of your experience.

We were in “The Glade” room and the time we had was great. The place was very beautiful and the food very good.

Highly recommend The Parlour. Food and Staff fantastic and such a cool gem place. I will return very soon.

We dined my my parents and two teenage daughters last week at Sketch in the Gallery Room and had a very memorable meal. We all loved our main courses. My lamb was amazing. The service was also excellent from the moment we walked in. We loved the beautiful decor and unique bathroom! We will definitely come back when we visit London again and would highly recommend to friends!

Our visit to Sketch on a Tuesday morning for a late breakfast was met with high expectations, as we had heard rave reviews about its traditional English tea and captivating ambiance. And indeed, the ambiance was nothing short of amazing – a perfect 10/10. The whimsical design and eclectic decor transported us to a world of artistic wonder. However, while the service was adequate, it didn't quite exceed our expectations. We found ourselves limited to the rooms that were open, and while each space was undeniably beautiful, we were here for more than just admiring the decor – we came to indulge in a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast we sampled fell short of justifying the steep prices. While not bad, it certainly didn't warrant the hefty price tag. Our bill totaled $77 USD for two breakfasts, a coffee, a tea, a water, and a pastry, leaving us feeling somewhat disappointed. The exorbitant prices failed to align with the overall experience – neither the service, the ambiance, nor the taste could fully justify the expense. Perhaps we would consider returning for a traditional tea service or dinner, as those may offer a more substantial culinary experience. However, our first visit left us underwhelmed and unable to fully justify the high cost. Sketch may be renowned for its avant-garde design and culinary offerings, but on this occasion, it failed to leave a lasting impression.

Really disappointed with the food we got the chicken that had a corn sauce that was over powering for the chicken and the popcorn thrown over th top just didn't go with the dish. We also had the venison for me the portion size was way too small and didn't really have any flavour to it, says it dome with a sausage but I found once small slice of that so no point putting in on thr menu, mac and cheese again way to much salt and would go as far as saying one of the worse I've had I'm not new to fine dinning but this was not fine by any standards, maybe I'm being harsh give it a go and message me hour thoughts

Hi quality French in a beautiful bright space. Great good and excellent friendly service. Tasting menu full of winners. Had a great meal here and would recommend to all who like fine dining.

Exceptional dining experience at The Glade. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. As for the food, while it was generally very good, it fell just short of reaching the exceptional standard set by the ambiance and service. Each dish showcased quality ingredients and skillful preparation, yet lacked a certain wow factor to truly elevate the dining experience. Nevertheless, The Glade remains a standout choice for lunch, thanks to its charming atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious cocktails.

Afternoon tea, Underwhelming! The setting is fantastic and beautiful, however service and food was lacking. If you want a quality afternoon tea consider other options, if you want great vibes, this is for you. The savoury aspects of the food were incredible, some of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten. The sweets however, were very disappointing, cakes were dry and presented very sloppily as were the pastries, really lacked the finese you expect for over £100/head (inc service). The regular scone was delicious, however the gluten free option was hard and very crumbly, we asked for a second which was much better than the first. Overall glutenfree alternatives were of a low standard and should have come at a discounted price. The waitress was lovely and friendly, but the overall service was very slow, we had to ask multiple times for drinks (3 x for an orange juice) and food, it felt like food was dumped and then run, not special or personal and definately not justifying the 20% service charge. Overall ok, but not worth the money. Better options available in London.

A great experience and definitely recommended! Since tea time isn't cheap, it's definitely special! The ambience is unbeatable and even the toilets are an experience in terms of design! We would have liked the service to be a little warmer, but that was obviously only the case with our (Asian) waiter. The gentleman at the exit (probably the manager) was particularly great. At the request of our son (12), he showed us the upper floor, which was actually closed. All in all an exclusive, special experience that we really enjoyed!

The worst food. We spent 1200.00 US dollars and honestly it was not a good experience. We were upcharged on the cheese (when we said we don't really like cheese). Wine was overpriced and not great. Service was average at best. The lecture room table was terrible. We had an overall horrible experience. I would never recommend this restaurant!! Additionally, the atmosphere was extremely uptight and unwelcoming.

The atmosphere and food were great, but unfortunately the service fell very short for a restaurant at this level and price point. It was confused and unprofessional. The waiter incorrectly described one dish my friend wanted to order - he said it had mushrooms in it - and tried to talk my friend out of ordering it as he could not eat certain mushrooms. We pushed him to check with the chef who confirmed the dish did not even contain mushrooms. The waiter asked if were were interested in wine with dinner and we said we wanted to have a look and decide. After the starters were delivered consumed, the waiter then dropped off the wine list commenting that perhaps we would like a glass with our main course. No explanation for why he did not bring it earlier in case we wanted it with our starter. We then kept trying to get his attention to order wine - there were lots of staff standing around and the restaurant was not full. In the end I had to ask another member of staff if we could please order a glass of wine. That person said he would send the sommelier to help us. In fairness to the sommelier he was quick, but because of the long delay by the waiter, the main courses arrived before the glasses of wine.

Quite the experience. Top notch service from front of the door to coat pick up. Banging interior design. Food between good and great. I especially enjoyed the coronation chicken sandwich and lobster roll, as well as the scones.

Beautiful place and great service. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The food at the Gallery was just okay though. Considering the price. Perhaps they save the best food for the Michelin star restaurant on site! We’ll definitely be back for drinks though..

It's definitely a vibe! We went for their afternoon tea and it was a lot of food and delicious! I'm not sure if there was a shift change during our time there but there was a long amount of time where we didn't find our server to ask for more tea or see what was next but someone else did take care of us when we looked a little lost. Loved the string quartet that was playing popular music. I loved it!

The service attitude was very good and there was no negligence at all. The reception by the staff was very warm and they actively introduced the dishes, decoration and history of the restaurant. The menu is rich, mainly focusing on modern, French and fusion cuisine. Certain dishes will have elements of the Mediterranean diet. Generally speaking, it is the standard level of Michelin three stars.

First class service, wonderful afternoon tea in a very beautiful setting with lovely background live music. Very luxurious.

We booked the restaurant thinking it’s a michline 3 star for 72nd birthday celebration of my friend. While booking they booked us on sketch lounge instead of sketch library and we weren’t even informed that only the library is michline and it’s close on Tuesday. We requested a birthday cake n they served us just one profiterole . The service was really bad and the servers served cold coffee though we asked for hot . Every thing was chaotic and it ruined our birthday celebration. It was just an embarrassing experience dining there .

Love this place and always visit when in London but it’s the last time I’ll be dining there unfortunately… still love the bars, but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. Service was good but food was mediocre and the wine by the glass prices were totally outrageous… I’ve never seen 30+ pounds for a glass of mediocre wine anywhere! In hindsight, I should have kept drinking 20 pound Negronis from the bar, but was too stunned…. I truly love the ambience in this place and have been coming for many years, but the prices have become over the top. And yes, I know it’s London, but even for London this was extreme.

I think giving the table for 2 hours is such a short space of time especially when you are spending a substantial amount of money and also when there were 3 empty tables near us I really wasn’t impressed with the 2 hour slot so that kind of dampened the evening Nice restaurant, nice food and nice staff but they couldnt wait to get rid of you We didnt get to order dessert as we were told we had 20 mins to choose, order and eat For me that is awful

We came for breakfast after we someone on Instagram having breakfast at this place. Safe to say it did not disappoint at all, the atmosphere, the food, the service and the drinks all were a 10/10. We went for the traditional English breakfast with some coffee and juices. Everything was absolutely spot on

We chose The Glade. Food is below average - we ordered the crab cakes, charcuterie board, fries with “sketchup” and truffle fries. All below average. We were attracted by instagram posts with the nicely decorated rooms and that’s all that it is. Cocktails were also mediocre, we tried three different ones that unfortunately I can’t remember the names of. They weren’t bad, they were just average. Staff were slow, hard to get the attention of although the room is small and was not that busy, and there is no interaction with the staff beyond taking orders. It cost us almost £170 and it was not worth it at all, in fact we tried to get a reservation somewhere else and leave but everywhere else was busy. Nice decor though!

Pros are basically restricted to the looks since it is a very unique place with totally different areas from a visual perspective. I had reservations for the Parlour and asked for a club sandwich withou mayo. I was surprised they needed to remove a layer of the sandwich for it but then I had the worst surprise as it was served with ketchup without further announcement as it was not in the menu and I really hate it. When I told the waitress (who was not the nicest person in the world) she said they would need to remove all the sandwich layers for this. Is this a pre-made freezer sandwich? So I replaced my order to the truffle gnocci, same dish my wife had ordered. It was just ok, the truffle flavor was very cloying to both us. Different but disappointing place.

Ecclectic decor and unique menu items. Food had interesting flavor combination and beautiful presentation. Visually appealing cocktails. Based on my experience during my recent visit ( dinner in the Gallery) I am not sure if the very high menu prices are justified. The vibe is definitely very Instagram-ish. The staff was polite, however our waiter was less interested in serving our table and more interested in chatting up with the table next to us which had young pretty guests:)

Such a huge disappointment. Over priced and pretentious. Food was ok, drinks were hit and miss and service was dismal. 5 staff members, 4-6 tables occupied and we had to flag down a server for every aspect of service from ordering, reordering, water refills, receiving/paying tab and to get help from the poor, clueless waiter that spilled dipping sauce all over me, the chair and carpet and NO ONE even noticed. I was offered dry cleaning service but that doesn't do much good when my coat was unwearable for the rest of the evening. They took off service charge but no other offer of compensation. The sweet coatcheck gentleman was quite empathetic and attentive but visit was already a bust. Will never go back.

For tea/coffee with the full experience but without the pricey bill, head to your right once inside ; you’ll get to see the other rooms when you go to the bathroom!

I went for afternoon tea, and It was an absolutely amazing dining experience. From the minute you step through the doors, you know you're in for a real treat. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the food and service are excellent, the decor and atmosphere are an experience not to be missed. All in all, this was one of my favourite dining experiences, and it really is worth every single penny, we ended up requesting the final course to go as we were all completely full from the previous courses. This is how you serve afternoon tea!

Visited Sketch with my friends for Sunday night drinks 🍸. The bar is gorgeous, beautifully presented with a lovely atmosphere. Photo 📸 opportunity in every corner, even toilets 🚻 Our waiter was very attentive. We never run out of olives 🫒 and nuts 😜 Cocktails 🍸 were good, but the wine 🍷 was even better. Will be coming here again.

Afternoon tea at sketch was the highlight of our trip to London. The manager greeted us warmly at the door and ensured we had an amazing table, the host was kind, and we bonded over his upcoming trip to NYC, and our server was humorous and knowledgeable. It was an all around great experience!

Following our visit for tea on February 18th, all three of us suffered from symptoms of food poisoning, including vomiting and diarrhea. This unfortunate incident significantly impacted the remainder of our trip, as we traveled to Paris on February 19th. As it was my friend's inaugural visit to London, the repercussions of this ordeal have left us hesitant to consider returning in the near future.

What a wonderful experience for our whole family! I was skeptical when my wife made reservations as I'm of the Ted Lasso opinion that tea is "garbage water". But WOW! I enjoyed all of the teas they brought to the table and the food was delicious. A great addition to a London vacation.

Sketch is an experience - ultimately the best high tea experience we had in London! It is absolutely a treat, from the visual display of food, excellent tea choices, and live orchestra that played familiar classical and pop hits. The hospitality was outstanding too, particular our waiter, Henry, from South Africa. His choice of rooibos tea among others were outstanding. Ultimately I would highly recommend Sketch & team as thee place to experience high tea if you’re looking for a modern, contemporary twist!

Delicious food in a beautiful restaurant. The amount of food you get is very expensive compared to the price. Had the lobster as a main course, for £57. For that amount I expected a lot of lobster. Unfortunately there were only 6 pieces. That was a shame. It is also apparently common that a standard 15% is charged for “service costs”. Which, as a Dutchman, I found ridiculous. Of course I would have definitely tipped for the excellent service. I find it strange that they already put this on the bill themselves. Apart from this surprise, it was a nice evening!

This was a fun afternoon tea. There were several food items which just didn't do it for us (ie the salmon sandwich, the marshmallows) which is why 4 instead of 5 stars, but honestly that's more just personal preference. Beautiful space and very friendly service.

Cornfed chicken stuffed with almond and lemon paste almost matches the pheasant for sheer deliciousness, but its side plate is even better, a crispy sweet and sour chicken thigh that kicks like a mule and cuts through all that elegance like a bovver boot under a ballgown. Dover sole is re-invented by layering the fillets with crab and spooning them with creamy beurre Nantais like an extra-luscious meunière.

Excellent restaurant, very well located, on Regent Street, welcome and service, nothing to complain about, the staff is smiling and available, good advice, the service is not too long, you will find staff who speak French if you do not speak no English, regarding the restaurant of chef Pierre GAGNAIRE The dishes we chose were delicious and very well presented. The bread is also delicious. An excellent place for a quality dinner and a pleasant time. On the other hand, it was not specified on the menu whether the meat is of French origin, which would be a shame if it was not, especially for a restaurant run by a French chef supposed to represent French cuisine and give a certain image of our country abroad.

We went for breakfast, we booked at 9.00, the place is crazy, it has several rooms, one for breakfast, one for dinner, one for tea and finally one for cocktails. The only thing if you want to go in the morning, the egg-shaped bathrooms and the other rooms open from 11.00, from 9.00 to 11.00 only the breakfast room remains open.

Afternoon High Tea review: My family and I were very excited to check out Sketch during our visit to London based on the ultra unique vibe of the restaurant and the reputation they have achieved based on their culinary prowess. Additionally, my family is about as adventurous of eaters as a I could ever ask for and will eat and enjoy just about anything you throw at them. I personally have a difficult time finding a dish I don’t like. Okay, the stage is set. The restaurant is lovely. The service was very good. The food was absolutely the worst thing I could have ever imagined. Trust me, I knew to expect finger sandwiches, cakes, pastries, etc. Frankly, there were many items that were inedible. I mean flat out terrible. We are still laughing about spending $510 for four of us and walking out with two courses left. Hands down, not even a close second, the worst meal we have ever had in a restaurant. And that says a TON because we have had amazing dining experiences all over the world. Some obviously better than others, but this takes the award. Glass half full, this was a very memorable dining experience just not the kind we had hoped for!

Excellent service. The team were highly engaging with my daughter as we were there for Mother’s Day. I would recommend anyone to go atleast once. The reason for the 3 stars is only for the variety on the vegetarian menu. Apart from that, a great experience and we look forward to our visit again.

Absolutely phenomenal experience with friends visiting from the US for my birthday. Henry our waiter was the highlight, extremely courteous, patient and thoughtful. Would absolutely recommend to any and all.

We have regularly eaten at the Lecture Room at Sketch (which I highly recommend) but we thought we would try one of the different restaurants so we went to the Glade. We had a wonderful lunch (after a small hiccup with the seating which the Sketch team resolved perfectly), the food was amazing as always and the staff were super attentive without pestering you. Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Quite a few issues with food being bad (gluten free bread) and food not arriving. Lovely atmosphere however. Very expensive based on the experience and issues.

Went here for mothers day. The ambience was really beautiful and it was a lovely place to dine. Staff were attentive. Unfortunately the vegetarian food that two of us had was extremely poor and tasteless, especially the pasta, which is the worst pasta dish I have ever eaten (or left). My son who eats meat, said that his food was nice and the truffle chips and bread were good too. An enjoyable afternoon in a beautiful place, with very disappointing food.

We went for breakfast. It was fantastic and the service was excellent. We had a great time and the environment is very interesting.

Arrived at 16.00 - rudley spoken to upon arrival, really did upset my sister, not a good first impression We were then left standing whilst awaiting our table We were a party of 2 and celebrating my Birthday Although one of us was sitting comfortably l was sitting opposite in a very busy awkward runway, seat was unsuitable and made me feel l needed to keep pulling forward whilst staff were running around behind me, l felt l was in their way ? Awkward and extremely uncomfortable, couldn't relax or enjoy it Presentation was poor, difficult to identify what was a sandwich and what was a cake ! Violens too loud Will not be returning or ever recommend

Worth the hype! I've heard a lot of buzz about this place and finally got the pleasure to have afternoon tea here and it was probably the best I've had in London so far. Everything was so beautifully presented, and tasted just as amazing - we even asked for more croque monsieurs. I'm not even much of a tea drinker but I loved all the options we had, and I highly recommend the vanilla black! The Gallery is so beautiful, the staff are so friendly, and the live music was such a nice surprise. Thanks for the lovely time!

Benedetta is super good. I swear is my best birthday 🎂 experience so far. I told her from the beginning I want this cake and she said they don’t have. Towards the end she came unexpectedly with the cake and candle with Happy Birthday written on. May god bless you Benedetta. Really you are amazing and have a big heart ❤️
