If they consider it a luxurious restaurant, they should treat people accordingly! First of all, our reservation was on the ground floor but they gave us a table upstairs. The guy in the reception was unprofessional, answering in a rude way using sentences like ( girls you are not in McDonalds). Service upstairs was also not appropriate. we asked the waitress to serve us the pasta , he refused claiming that they don’t serve and we should do it ourselves. If that so, then why they have service-charge included in the bill?.

The service was disappointing and unprofessional, with staff displaying a lack of basic service training. They cleared our plates without asking and failed to provide a new set of plates for us to enjoy our main courses. While the restaurant itself is beautifully designed, the level of service provided is more fitting for a fast-food establishment rather than a fine dining experience.

Booked a table weeks in advance for the 1st of December for their Sunday feast/Opera experience. Let’s start with the positives of which there are few. The atmosphere downstairs and in the bathrooms are undeniably quite impressive. The food is above par although nothing special at all, the wine list on the other hand is one of the more impressive wine lists I’ve found in London. That’s honestly where it ends. The negatives are as follows: we arrived and had to wait 15 minutes just to be taken to our table. When finally seated, it took a further 10 minutes to be served and provided with menus with the establishment half empty at this stage. We made the reservation to experience the opera singing downstairs as was advertised and booked well in advance to ensure this. We were given a table upstairs, where the atmosphere to be frank is entirely non existent. It entirely ruined the experience and this was never distinguished at the point of reserving. Overall, a disappointing time, very overhyped and not worth the expense.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, primarily due to the unprofessional handling of my reservation by an employee named Clinton. I arrived 10 minutes early to ensure I was on time, but I ended up waiting nearly an hour for my table. Every time I asked Clinton about the delay, his response was that reservations were running late because earlier guests arrived late, which caused a cascading delay. After waiting patiently for almost an hour, I asked again, and Clinton told me my friend was already waiting at the table. To my shock, I found out he had given my table to another group by mistake! This level of mismanagement is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that takes reservations. While I appreciate that I was refunded, the overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I hope the management addresses this issue and provides better training to their staff to avoid such incidents in the future.

We booked a reservation one month(with a deposit)+ in advance expecting a seamless dining experience, but it was anything but that. Upon arrival, we were told to wait at the bar despite our reservation(none of us drink). After over 20 minutes of waiting, staff had the audacity to claim we were "taking up space" and asked us to stand while waiting! This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for customers' time and comfort. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

We arrived with extremely high expectations as this restaurant has been on our list for a long time. It was my partners birthday which the lady on reception had noted on arrival. Our drinks took a while to come out (we were the 3rd party in upon opening) but my partner ordered the strip lion steak medium and it came out very rare. She couldn’t eat it and we had to send it back which ruined our meal as I had finished my meal before hers finally arrived back 15 minutes later and it was still rare again! We complained again to our waiter Lorenzo, who could clear see how annoyed I was that it had ruined our whole meal and experience. How a chef working in this calibre of restaurant can’t tell if a steak is cooked right is not good enough especially when had to sliced the meat! We had her meal wiped off the bill and some free desserts but the damage was done. We won’t be going back. I’m sure this restaurant will continue to have lots of people visit it for the incredible decor and money spent on it but the food doesn’t match I’m afraid. Very disappointing!

We were excited to visit what we thought would be a luxurious restaurant, but things started going wrong before we even stepped inside. There was no one to greet us at the door, and when the maître (a man with a beard and blue eyes) finally opened it, it wasn’t to welcome us but to rudely call over a lady who was smoking outside. His behaviour was shocking—he even made a gagging sound while loudly complaining about the smell of smoke to his colleague and other guests. It was awkward and made us feel really uncomfortable. Honestly, at that point, we were already questioning if this place was as fancy as it claimed to be. The interior was stunning—beautiful artwork, sculptures, and elegant tables—but sadly, that was the highlight of the evening. The food and service was mediocre. The salad was fine, but our steaks were overcooked rather than medium/rare as requested, and had way too much fat on it. Thankfully, the wine and dessert were good. Service was chaotic and unprofessional. Every time we asked for something, it took at least two people to sort it out. Our salad arrived before the wine, dessert before the coffee, and we had to remind them multiple times about things we had ordered. That said, not all the staff were bad. A woman with curly hair and the sommelier (a tall, polite, and experienced gentleman) were the only ones who stood out for their professionalism, but the rest of the team didn’t seem prepared or trained properly. Overall, while the décor was impressive, the rude service and disappointing food ruined the experience.

I’m absolutely gutted. I came to Bacchanalia with sky-high expectations for the food, service, and atmosphere. But tonight? It felt like the universe’s way of saying, “Welcome to disappointment central!” Honestly, it was the worst evening I’ve had since visiting London, the staff clearly skipped Hospitality 101, also from the moment we sat down, they dumped all the food on the table at once, excuse me am I dining at a fast-food joint !!? I ordered drinks to enjoy with my meal, thinking, “They’ll pace it out, right?” Nope! Everything arrived together like a chaotic family reunion. Unbelievable. Moreover the waiters service? Oh, don’t get me started. They’re practically world champions of neglect. I was so ignored, I started wondering if they were running a masterclass on “How to Be a Careless Human.” Tempted to sign up, honestly, although when management finally decided to “apologize” they brought out one measly cake to share. A single cake! For a two! I mean, come on this isn’t a sitcom, but that was peak comedy Long story short: never going back

I was dubious to go as the food reviews are very low... I thought " well it looks beautiful , I'll go for the atmosphere. It looks stunning. So off we went for my birthday. The service: out of this world. Beautiful warm caring staff. Especially our waiter Niko. We fell in love with him. Outstanding and lovely. The food: every mouthful was a dream. From the moment we reached the doors outside staff were fun and very inviting. Also very happy , which means they are looked after. First thing I look for is the staffs happiness. Then we walked into the reception , to greet there was a handsome French man with the manners of a king. Oh everything. From start to finish was impeccable. Loved ever single one. Do not miss out on the after bar . It's hidden but the greatest place to have an after drink , or 5. I thought I could share photos but there isn't that options. Our photos prove how amazing they all are. Especially our Niko.

I had a lovely time at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The doorman was very welcoming, and the lady host was very kind; she took us to our seats. We were served by Sina and AJ, and they treated us really well. The food was delicious. For starters, we had smoked tarama (the best that I had in my life), bread basket, and the CROCCHETTE DI FORMAGGIO. Mains we had PUMPKIN RISOTTO (divine) and Rib-eye. For dessert, we had the tiramisu (my husband's choice), but he didn't really like it; the star was MEDUSA head! It was delicious—a must try! I definitely recommend Bacchanalia. The interiors look amazing! The ladies restroom is beautiful!

Everything is yum yum yum.. The most important thing is not to sit on the mezzanine because the seating area is better and reservations are required.. All of our orders are delicious, especially the steak and truffle pasta.. There was a temporary menu, I think because of the fall season, we tried it. Sin embargo, lo más destacado es sin duda el diseño interior del restaurante: se siente como cenar en un museo. Aunque optamos por el menú establecido, la comida y el vino todavía se sentían algo caros, especialmente porque la comida no es especialmente única. El restaurante es precioso el servicio no tan bueno. Ok, esperé una hora para la comida principal y luego envié parte de ella de vuelta. Así que no es bueno. Luego fuimos al bar. Los asientos del área son horribles muy incómodos, quiero decir muy incómodos, bebidas. No es bueno ninguna de las dos esposas de colader penal tenía lleno de hielo y presentado en el vaso equivocado, mi copa de martini bebida muy pequeña. Allí no sabían lo que estaban haciendo, así que ahí tienes bonito restaurante gastado 75 millones en él pero la comida no es buena. Recommend! Had a Saturday night dinner with a friend there. The interior is truly spectacular and impress as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere on Sat night was amazing, with dj playing great Ibiza style music. Food was also very very nice and worth the price. What I liked less was that fact that music was playing extremely loud (like in a night club) so despite seating next to each other I could not hear my friend talking. The cocktails were also more in a underwhelming side. Despite these 2 sticking points, I will definitely come back. This place really stands out.

Mixed feelings. While the decor, staff and atmosphere are excellent, the food (Sunday brunch set menu) is hugely disappointing. I can only describe it as peasant food at luxury prices. Almost £100 each for a small welcome drink, meze (beans, sausage, taramasalata, tomato salad, shrimps in tomato sauce) and a choice of 4 main courses (chicken thigh!, pasta, sea bass and another), and two ordinary dessert choices. Tasty taverna food using simple cheap ingredients for a large amount of money. Won't be returning, sorry, as its a rip-off.

I have never felt so angry at a restaurant before, the doorman's attitude was arrogant and rude. When we first arrived, the doorman informed us of a dress requirement, stating that sportswear was not allowed. The restaurant was booked by our friend, and we could not find any information about the dress code on the restaurant's official website. However, we completely understood the doorman's request and went to Selfridges nearby to buy an outfit—specifically, a Jil Sander wool top and suit pants, which cost a total of £1,710 (I still have the receipt and the time of purchase). At this point, our friend had already been waiting for us at the restaurant for an hour. When we reached the entrance again, the doorman once again said our attire did not meet the requirements, claiming that because the top had a hood, it was a hoodie. Under any circumstance, a dark wool top can be considered part of smart casual attire, even if he perceives it as a hoodie. While we were negotiating with the doorman, a guest in jeans happened to walk out, which left me extremely disappointed. If this restaurant has a clear dress code policy, how can a wool suit be deemed less formal than jeans to the extent that we are denied entry? We had already respected the restaurant's dress code once and specifically purchased an outfit that met the criteria as directed by the doorman, yet this second refusal was unacceptable. If a white person can enter in jeans while our wool suit cannot, I have to question the doorman's motives. Having lived in London for many years, I always thought it was a diverse and inclusive city, but this restaurant made me experience discrimination and racism for the first time. No matter how good the food might be (and honestly, the food is mediocre; another Greek restaurant in London, Gaia, far surpasses it in taste and ingredients), this kind of discrimination and humiliation towards guests is inexcusable. I even saw in reviews that the doorman told guests he turned away due to dress code violations, "this is Mayfair." Such an attitude is ridiculous; no one should judge others from a position of arrogance and prejudice, especially in a high-end restaurant where I am paying for service.

Generally a restaurant worth visiting for its atmosphere / design (although a bit heavy / tacky/ reminded me of the Venetian in Las Vegas). Also outfit of staff could be much better reminding of Ancient Greece or Rome (a meander design in all clothes is not enough). For Greeks and Italians who know the brands used and setup of plates there are certainly some errors (for example the ouzo selected is among the cheapest brands in Greece), having said that all the plates we had were of good quality and tasty. For food allergies (I am gluten free) several errors were made both from staff (eg the first waiter mentioning the wrong plates as gluten/gluten free resulting to changing of waiters) and by design - the QR code you would scan which supposedly took you to a menu where you could select your allergies was outdated, resulting to none of the plates initially selected to be available. Overall did not regret the visit but hopped for a better experience for its price range.

Dear Bacchanalia Management Team, I recently visited Bacchanalia in London, coming all the way from Qatar, and was very excited to experience your restaurant given its reputation on social media. Unfortunately, I encountered a mix of experiences that I felt was important to share with you. Upon arrival, I approached the host, Aga, with a request to have drinks at the bar. To my surprise, she informed my friend and me that there was no space available, offering only a standing area. However, as I was being shown around by another staff member, I noticed several empty tables at the bar area. This initial interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, especially given the way Aga looked us up and down, which was both unexpected and disappointing. Fortunately, another team member graciously accommodated us, and I only regret not catching her name, as she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Additionally, the bartenders were outstanding, offering recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their warm and professional service was a highlight of our experience and truly enhanced our evening. While the hospitality of your bartending and serving team was exceptional, my initial interaction with Aga left a lasting impression, and I would encourage the management team to review the approach to customer service at the front door. The initial greeting sets the tone, and I believe every guest should feel valued from the moment they arrive. Thank you for considering this feedback, and I hope it’s helpful in ensuring Bacchanalia continues to provide the wonderful experience it’s known for.

This is one of the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever been so be prepared to take lots of photos in the restaurant and toilet! :) We ordered salt crust seabass and ceviche, very fresh and delicious. Probably we weren’t so lucky, the service was a bit underwhelming for us, the service staff got our orders wrong a couple of times. They offered to let us visit the members’ bar after dinner, which is another beautiful place to see!

Well where do I begin. let me start by saying I go to Iberica Marylebone with my colleagues (table of 6) around 10 times a year spend thousands every time. i booked my Christmas dinner for 7 people and when we arrived and ordered the wine menu, we were told there is no wine available, most wines were not on the menu, very limited choice and also a number of food items were not available, we asked for the manager and when he arrived he barely offered an apology, was exceptionally defensive and offered a glass of cava (pathetic) and when I said this is very embarrassing for me, I might need to go and actually buy wine and bring it to the table, he said there is a £25 corkage fee (unbelievable). we ended up drinking different bottles of wine throughout the evening at completely various price points and every time we are told something different about what's available and what's not. I was not informed during the time of booking (which wasn't a long time ago) and the way the manager handled it is a text book exercise in failure to turn a potential complaint around with some proactivity, finesse and customer service. In an environment where there are endless choices of restaurants in London and new ones opening every single day, there is simply no excuse for poor customer service and lack of interest in retaining loyal clients. Needless to say, last time in Iberica. congratulations, you just lost £10K / year loyal client.

This was a real surprise. I chose it for its vibrant decor and cocktail menu. I got so much more. Fabulous drag DJ entertainer with the best legs I've ever seen. My husband and I really did have a riot of a time. Singing and dancing along was a hoot. Just wish it was local we would go there all the time. Staff were fun and welcoming. Just remember it's a drag act so not for the super touchy and easily offended. Loved it, keep it up girl, oh and the doorman had some great moves too!xx
