The food at NOPI was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with bold and balanced flavors. Ottolenghi’s signature style was evident in every bite, with creative combinations that felt both surprising and perfectly harmonious. From the vibrant mezzes to the richly layered mains, each plate was a true delight. Verdict: Absolutely worth the hype.

The restaurant and food do not feel pretentious, which I personally like. The presentation of the food is thought out, however the cooking tastes nostalgic and homely, like something a family member would make. The stuffed cabbage (my favourite) was gorgeous even though it sounded like the least appealing thing on the menu. The only negative was that the prawns were slightly over cooked. And were were quite cold sitting by the window at the front.

Great night sitting at the bar, watching all the staff move and work in sequence, never rushed, always moving with purpose. Our server at the bar with the dreadlocks was everything I like in a server, chatting like friends but not overbearing, everything he recommended was spot on and the mixologist was lovely as were his cocktails. Always prefer sitting at the bar when staff like that. Bathrooms are wild.

We spent an exceptional evening at NOPI, where every detail was close to perfection. From the moment we entered, we were charmed by the warm and elegant atmosphere of the place. The service was impeccable: attentive, smiling and very good advice. As for the cuisine, a real festival of flavors! Each dish was a perfect balance between originality and finesse, with products of remarkable quality. Special mention for the Valdeon cheesecake which simply amazed us. The combinations of tastes and textures are as bold as they are mastered. NOPI is much more than a restaurant, it is a true sensory experience. An essential address in London for lovers of refined gastronomy. We will come back without hesitation! Thank you to the whole team for all your attention!

I've been a longtime fan of Ottolenghi's food but our table was overall underwhelmed by our meal here. We ordered 9 different savoury dishes off the menu to share plus desserts. The cod dish was excellent but the others just didn't wow at all. 2 of the 3 meat dishes we ordered had tough over cooked meat. I ordered a full bodied wine - it was mediocre. Gluten free party member was very well catered for and given clear menu guidance. Loved the restaurant space: its interior design and vibe.

Decent dinner but nothing special and definitely not what one would expect from such a renown establishment. We were not welcomed very kindly and our table wasn’t ready at the reserved time. The staff serving us was very kind and extremely attentive. Several dishes were extremely salty, some of which were taken off the bill without hesitation.

Very expensive for what it is. The waiters are pushy and try to encourage you to buy lots of small plates but we had 4 small plates and a side and that was fine. The tables are tiny and super close together so it’s hard to fit all your plates on the table and we couldn’t hardly have a conversation because the table next to us were so close. Nice but I won’t be going again - not worth the hype

We have cooked many dishes out do the Ottolenghi books, and this place being a bit more technical than the books delivered, I also appreciated the Short menu as it helps with selection and ensures a well delivered dish. Burrata: excellent. Octopus; Devine, Cod: delicious. Fried mushrooms: a highlight believe it or not. We sampled 4 desserts along with 4 mocktails and they were absolutely fantastic.

We paid over 200 euros per person for food which was “just fine”. It was absolutely not worth anywhere near 200 euros pp, which is normally the price you pay for a (very good) Michelin star restaurant. Besides that, we did not like the ambiance and it was very very packed and loud. Unfortunately we had high hopes which were not met. Felt like a pity on new years eve

The dishes aren’t consistently good and there are a few misses. It was Christmas Eve and a celebratory mid day meal with relatives. The male greeter at door who was Italian was perfect at his job: charming, warm and ebullient. Our service staff was just ok. Seriously, just OK. We ordered a wide selection and many courses but NOTHING JUST STOOD OUT AS WOW. Unfortunately the restrooms are downstairs. Was it a special place for a special meal on a special holiday: maybe NOT. Are we fans of the MAGIC O, well we have his cookbooks. Today was just a regular so so meal but sadly I WANTED MORE.

I loved Yotam’s restaurant. There are great classics of his cuisine in the dishes with blends of flavors that only he can master. We clearly loved everything about it. It was delicious with great service, pleasant and efficient despite the crowds. I definitely recommend that you make a reservation, because it is rather full, and there is a wait even for a 3rd service. We tested several starters and dishes but on the December menu I recommend the beets with goat cheese. However, I am not a fan of this vegetable but it was great and as a dish the sea bass was excellent. Even the bread with its little cup of olive oil was good. If you want to eat at a table or as a couple, remember to book on the ground floor otherwise you have a large table d'hôte in the basement facing the rather nice kitchen.

Very disappointed with this restaurant, I expected to find a buffet in view of the advertising photos... Or... extravagant prices for what is on your plate. 6 pounds for a small handful of spicy nuts...5 unfortunate little pieces of grilled carrots for 7.8 pounds etc... The carrots were not grilled but partly charred, the same goes for the skin of the chicken which gave the sauce a not-so-great taste. and which did not allow me to define what were the ingredients which made up the sauce, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth all day and I was not dazzled by the flavors so praised in this type of cuisine …I was so happy to taste this “…fashion effect” cuisine??? I regret not having reacted...this is the first time that I have posted a review for a restaurant because I am in the food industry myself and I don't like to demolish but here!!! a little positive touch: the super pleasant carrot apple ginger juice and the very interesting dessert.

Tourist trap. We are fans of Ottolenghi but we were all disappointed - the dishes were not hot enough (lukewarm at best), flavor balance was dubious (one dish for instance had a great piece of cod but it was completely spoiled by piles of cardamom and coriander corns), portions are insufficient and prices are ridiculously high. Pleasant atmosphere but nothing special (paper cloth on the table for instance). We were sat by the front door and had to put our coats back on because we were too cold. Service was very good, but not sufficient to save the experience. Never again.

1. I have all of Ottolenghi's cooking books and I think he's one of the best chefs in the world. 2. 7 years ago we visited NOPI and enjoyed it so much. It was fantastic and this was the reason why we came back. Due to lockdown and other reasons we could not come earlier. 3. The staff is really friendly and helpful This was the foreword. 4. Our visit on Dec.12th was a pure disappointment. Last time we sat downstairs, which we enjoyed, this time on the groundfloor, a noisy place with the atmosphere of a fast food location. A poor staff who has to work in such a noisy environment. Last time the menue offered crispy salads this time the greens were poorly accompaining some of the dishes. The nibbles were ok, average. The bread crust was not crispy at all and everything a bit chewy. You should change the baker or not let rest the bread too long in humid air. The courses brussel sprouts (good), blue cheese souffle (average, far too sweet in some parts, killing the blue cheese taste), the pork belly and the ox tongue were served at the same time. The latter two dishes were luke warm. We told the (very friendly) waitress/waiter to send it back because of the temperature. It was not something pleasent to eat. They took it back and we got a hot pork belly and again a luke warm tongue. We did not complain anymore because we saw the kitchen was probably too busy to react. Anyhow the pork belly was a desaster - only fat and nothing else. Having eaten many pork bellies in my life, I know it should be something special - a melting delight in the mouth and the crackling should be beautiful brown, crispy and a texture adventure. Not something pale, hard and with a chewy finish. The accompaining sauce tasted like convenience sauce - I'm sure it wasn't but it tasted like that - quite an art to do it the other way round. A tongue can be luke warm but then it should be served e.g. on hot lentils or a crispy salad and not with greasy potato straw and some lettuce leaves. Because the staff was really friendly we did not want to complain again because we already knew we won't come again. The overall atmosphere was more 'come, eat, leave and be glad you got a table at NOPIs' and not 'enjoy your evening, relax and try to concentrate on your meal with all your senses'. Maybe people think 'if I do not like something of Ottolenghi's cuisine, it's because I have a bad taste or I do not know how to enjoy it' or the people simply accept what they got, how they got and where they got it. Or 'I pay a lot, the restaurant is booked out all the time - it can't be bad'. I'm sorry but things like this should not happen in such a restaurant. Of course there can be good days and less good days. But this time we saw, analizing the whole concept, that this was not a bad day, it was the basic structure of the restaurant. The next day we went to another star rated restaurant and we had a fantastic evening with fantastic food in a very comfortable and not dezibel filled atmosphere. Sorry. We have always wanted to have a meal at NOPI and this was booked as part of a birthday meal. It was very busy as expected for a Saturday lunchtime. We had a table in the window, which when split into tables for 2 can be close. Two separate couples were offered the table next to us and asked to move as they were vertically on our table. I think it was a table for 4 split in half. Service was ok but it did take a good 20 minutes for us to be offered a drink. The food was fantastic and full of flavour. Disappointed! I decided to come to NOPI for my birthday dinner. The traffic made us 20 mins late unfortunately, but after 2 unanswered phone calls, we managed to let them know and they gracefully held our booking for us. The food was beautiful! Flavour combinations were perfectly matched just like I had seen & learnt from Yottolam’s masterclass. We cook a lot from his cookbooks at home in New Zealand. The octopus was beautiful, the pork, burrata salad, were all super tasty! The most disappointing part was the customer service. We were rushed through our dinner. When we arrived and were being seated, the maitre’d told us she would let us know if we had just 2 hours to eat our meal, or could we stay a little longer and enjoy our dinner?! We were still enjoying our mains, we hadn’t heard if we could stay past the 2 hours or not, suddenly the maitre’d returned, put the dessert menus in front of us and never mentioned ‘we would like the table returned by a certain time’. We had just ordered another bottle of wine and still had half to finish! Communication was terrible! We felt rushed and that we were a hassle! Food is expensive but delicious, but the service from the team let the night down. Would have purchased a signed cookbook to take home. Not as I had hoped for.

After each hip household holds at least one Ottolenghi cooking book I was very curious about the live experience. I booked spontaneously and got a place at the big table in the basement which I wouldn’t repeat as a single diner. I was wedged between two bigger parties and the people next to me naturally turned their backs to me to talk to their friends, which was pretty odd. The already wilting flowers in front of me didn’t help. I had 3 starters. Aubergines that were nice - not surprisingly a signature dish. The burrito with quince had a nice, fresh taste. Personally, I didn’t like the whole coriander seeds on top. Added another texture but coriander seeds have a strange consistency and they had a pretty bland taste. The flavors of the seared beef tongue were similar to the aubergines and were a little overpowering for the beef tongue. I have been surprised by the very limited wine list. There were 2 whites available and the Vermentino didn’t have enough body to deal well with the strong flavors. Maybe my expectations were a little too high and difficult to fulfill.

Wow! Incredible meal. Fantastic staff. The Viracocha cocktail was very flavorful. The Octopus, beans and xo sauce was divine. The beef tongue was also very good. The bartenders were friendly and knew what they were talking about. Can’t wait to share this with others!

I feel that giving 1 star for the service isn't fair, our waiter was actually fantastic and talked us through the menu really well But when you're spending £75 a head you don't expect the maître d to walk over with your bill, plonk it down in front of you and tell you its time to leave as you have other guests waiting after only being there an hour and 15 minutes and the mains took 30 minutes to come as we ordered a blue cheese cheesecake which takes 20 minutes to bake I was there for a working lunch with a client and we were mid flow, so to be interrupted by someone who hasnt engaged with us for the whole meal, slapping a bill down and just saying "we have guests waiting" was laughable - especially as there were empty tables in the restaurant Completely unacceptable and incredibly rude from the maître d - have we forgotten what good service looks like these days?

We had a delicious dinner here! The waitstaff probably could have been politer, but the service was very quick. Didn’t enjoy the waiter rolling his eyes at me. We especially enjoyed the fried mushrooms.

For all the foodies looking to have a wonderful culinary experience, NOPI delivers in spades. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal. Highly recommend to all!! Ps photo is the cheesecake style starter (savory) and new cookbook release - signed copies available at the restaurant. Definitely leave some room in your suitcase for his new cookbook!

Sunday Lunch; 2 adults 1 pre-Teen; booked table; a stair and 2 hard double doors to get in - wasn't an issue for us but for the consideration of wheelchair users; Got a good welcome and quick seating; the serving waitress was very professional and explained the sharing approach to Nibbles, 🐟, 🍖 sections of the lunch menu; sourdough bread on a kalamata olive oil was a perfect start with French white wine; we went for ChickPea 🧆 Tofu, Burrata 🧀 and Aubergine 🍆. My better half and child shared their favorite black like spring chicken and they finished it to the bone which says a lot about it's exquisite taste. In summary Nopi delighted us and we are surely to return soon. Toilets are downstairs, very clean and well maintained.

Some meals are average some are bad. Service was as you can expect at such an overpriced place.

Great food and cocktails. The reason this does not receive a higher rating is as follows: 1. My husband received the incorrect drink order. This is fine as it sometimes happens. The issue is that the bartender responded as if it were our error, but the main server apologized and it was all good. I will say that her drinks were terrific. 2. On two occasions, the assistant servers directed us to clear the table for them to place the dishes. We did not realize as guests in their restaurant that it was our responsibility to anticipate their needs while serving. We are always happy to help out, but this is the first time that we were ordered to do something while dining. This was very odd and distasteful to us as it happened twice and it is obviously a training issue.

It was incredible to finally try Ottolenghi’s recipes behind his cooking books. The restaurant was lively and the atmosphere was great despite the noise!

The food was very tasty, but I would say the price is not worth the amount of food served. £38 for a miniature chicken with some sauce (that you can’t even enjoy as they do not provide bread at a reasonable price) is too expensive in my opinion. Overall, the atmosphere was dark and noisy, service took quite some time, and portions were extremely small. I would not recommend it.

I feel like I have to rate the restaurant overall a 5 because there was nothing about the food and cocktails that I didn’t like. We had the paper plane, scotch sour, Charlie Chaplin, and sidecar to drink, and ordered the mushrooms, cheese, pork, and fish to eat. However the food notwithstanding, there were multiple lapses in service for me to consider this a truly outstanding restaurant. A cocktail I didn’t order arrived, and the bartender argued a little that it was my error! Three times when food arrived, the server asked in a not so polite way for us to rearrange the table to accommodate them. The polish was lacking to be sure, which is a shame because the food was good.

Since I liked the food at Rovi I wanted to try another Restaurant. The Restaurant is very beautiful and the staff at the reception was very nice. Then they asked us to wait at the "bar" (it was not really a bar) to be seated. Someone came and gave us a cocktail card because our table was not ready but we could order already drinks. That was a little bit weird because the staff was really stressed and we couldn't order a drink till we asked someone. After that we where seated and they gave us the menu. It's more a sharing concept like at the Rovi Restaurant. We asked at Rovi how many dishes we should order and they couldn't help us - the same at Nopi Restaurant. So we ordered a few, after that we ordered another dish and they where flexibel. That was very positiv. The food was amazing and we liked everything. The whole evening was not very welcomed since the staff was always in hurry and it was more like "you can be happy just to eat here" but for that service it's too pricey.

Every dish was a delight. I would love a couple more vegetarian mains since they have a real talent for developing them for the small plates. Btw I’m an omnivore.

Great gastronomic experience. All the vegetable and fish dishes were outstanding, but the meat - not so much; was underwhelming (don’t think I even bothered to photograph the dishes that weren’t great). So, everything apart from the meat dishes we ordered were amazing. Drinks were ok. Desserts were lovely. Service was good.

My daughter and I had a delicious meal at NOPI last night. I have been several times before and always had a great experience but this time was made extra special by the smiley waiter who took the time to ask why we were out celebrating and gave us a complementary glass of fizz. Thank you, it made our evening 😊

We had a business lunch and were seated at a great corner table in the back of the restaurant, offering a comfortable and private setting. The staff was warm, attentive, and paid great attention to detail, making us feel truly welcome. To start, we shared the mixed platter, which was beautifully presented and full of fresh, flavorful selections. For the mains, we each had separate dishes, all of which arrived hot and were impeccably plated. The presentation was elegant, and the flavors were rich and authentic—every bite was a delight. I will definitely return to this restaurant. It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy exquisite Lebanese cuisine in the heart of London, perfect for both business and casual dining.

I am a long time customer. I used to frequently visit as an imperial college student and on my returns to London never miss the opportunity to visit ranoush juice either sit down or takeaway. On my visit this time there were about 8 men in the restaurant obviously 2 or 3 were the owners. Straight away there was an off feel as they looked up and put on their customer front but only half heartedly I ordered shawarma 2 lamb 2 chicken with everything salads etc. the only different request was for the chicken to have only garlic sauce not the other sauces they add. Take away. We waited for the food and my young daughter told me she was uncomfortable with the attention she was getting and I was already getting strange vibes from the staff. The restaurant had one or two people sitting at the back eating. The food was ready and I checked with chef we had the correct order because he seemed sort of indifferent- he repeated the order back but mentioned chicken with just garlic sauce not salad. He was reluctant to change and correct the order and given I had already paid all I could do was convince him to give salad in a box. We took food back to hotel 1 minute away to eat there. The food tasted good. The meat seemed well cooked and seasoned. The bread was more large than pitta but still tasted good. However overall taste was off . My daughter was a little more picky than me , she opened the lamb shawarma and found just onion no other veg , she removed most of the onion on as it was overpowering but she ate and enjoyed it. The chicken had just chicken and sauce. The salad box on the side was just pickle and tomato. We ate and it was still enjoyable tasty food. So overall the food tasted fine but did not have everything I expected from ranoush. But the vibe was off, off enough that combined with lack of attention to order and reluctance to change order for what was asked to a 2 star review. I do not give this rating lightly as a return customer from at least 2010 or so. I must also note that when ranoush had the sit down restaurant a few years back I remained a loyal customer despite being inside while environmental health visited. Usually inspectors are subtle but in this case they made a show of putting on their uniform and asking owners about changes made and inspection. I was still dumb enough to remain loyal then but no longer. You have lost a long term loyal customer today.

We ordered 2 vegetarian full brunch with vegetables like mushroom, spinach, courgette and avocado with poached eggs. Only the egg and the avocado were served. Once we pointed it out that we were waiting for the food the waiter said Of course but after other 30 minutes he was just hiding in the kitchen. So no veggies available. They offered us a croissant instead. The quality of the egg, salmon and coffee is good but it is very poor however not expensive but I would say that with 6 tables maybe the service can be improved. Very nice coffee though

Dit is een restaurant waar ik het lekkerst Libanees heb gegeten! Goede service en goede locatie. Erg gezellig en nogmaals, heerlijk gegeten!
