Sizzlin Spice in Cheshire West and Chester

It is pathetic restaurant . They overcharge customers and food quality is too pathetic although they can’t make proper authentic food as they are making Bangladeshi food on the the name of Indian restaurant and misleading local mates everywhere .

We were coming regular on set meal on takeaway menu, but prices constantly different to the takeaway menu. They think its acceptable to charge differ from menu whenever it suits, and big 'cash only' sentence, and theres a cash machine nearby. The set menu saves you absolutely nothing when they charge extra . The menu's should be reprinted!!! The curry has gone from a 5 to a -0. Its blended has no taste and lost custom due to their standards.

Had a meal from hear before which was good, unfortunately they’ve hiked up there prices and the quality of the meal was very poor. Lamb was terrible full of fat and gristle and the sauce was weak no taste. Won’t be coming back.

Came after work for 3 Currys to take home for tea -the price was the first thing that shocked me as said 6.95 for korma and massala then charged 11.95 as wanted rice with them . The food was tasteless watery sauce 🤢🤢🤢. When I called to complain the were not interested definitely won't be going again.

We decided to eat out on a Monday and thought a local Indian restaurant would be a great idea. Having reviewed several restaurants in the area the Sizzlin Spice (Sizzlin Masala when we visited) appealed most. We were the only table sitting and asked the owner to select dishes for us. That proved to be an inspired decision as the lamb and king prawn dishes that were served were fantastic! The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We left feeling we had found a new favourite restaurant and would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely return to sample more of the extensive menu

First time here and we were not disappointed. Delicious freshly cooked food from an extensive menu. Good service. Downside, very hot atmosphere, and cash only to pay. We had to go do the cash point to pay our bill! Don’t let that put you off though

Great food for the cost — ordered on the phone and they understood my thick accent nicely being from Belfast! Food was ready ridiculously fast and we were back home in minutes. Staff were friendly and the place looked nice. It’s been rebranded and the listing could be updated to match the cool new look. I’d go back again but only here for a few days.

My husband and I took his father here for a Sunday buffet (£13.50) yesterday. There was a good selection of starters and curries and all the staff were very attentive. If you can manage it (we couldn't) there is chocolate gateau for pud. The nice thing as well is there is a small car park out front. We were full to bursting and waddled out of the restaurant. 3 x buffets, 4 x pints of Cobra and 2 x coffees came to £62.50 - bargain. The nice thing as well is there is a small car park out front. Will definitely go there again. We had had a takeaway from them last year which was equally as good. Would definitely recommend.

Superb food, lovely staff, very clean, I wish I could give it 6 stars. It was genuinely one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in a long time. The portions were generous and we took home what we couldn’t eat. The food was freshly prepared and delicious and the prices very reasonable. The only odd thing was that they don’t have raita on the menu - I love the flavour of the yogurt with a spicy meal. It is now the Sizzling Massala as I believe two local restaurants have merged. Cannot wait to go again.

We have a takeaway every month and it is always absolutely delicious. Can't fault the food, the service or anything. Just amazing.

Without doubt best Indian food in Ellesmere Port, could not fault any course a perfect blend of heat and spice. The restaurant is now called Sizzling Masala changed recently. Just fantastic food nothing too much trouble excellent customer service. We will be back very soon.

Food was absolutely amazing as always, I had the chicken madras and pilau rice with saag aloo and cheesy naan. Couldn’t fault it at all. My wife had the chicken tikka honey masala and spicy chips with rice. Delicious! We’ll come back again

If you want a Sunday buffet here, go when it opens at 1pm. Everything is then fresh. I went last time at around 5pm. Hard, dry bhajis, dry chicken dishes, dry lamb dishes, dry rice and rubber naan bread.Go at lunchtime though, and it's a nice treat.

Had an excellent meal at this restaurant. The staff serving were friendly and helpful, and clearly very experienced in running Indian food establishments. The dishes were plentiful and flavoursome, with great variety on offer. On a different occasion, I ordered a takeaway from here for a small group, and this was also well received by all.

I went around 2pm on Sunday. Not many in there. Plenty of everyone's favourite choices on the hot plates and believe me I tried everything. I must admit I couldn't fault the food and l quite enjoyed the whole experience. Value for money.

Just got home after having a fantastic meal here we didn't book just turned up and had the special at £12.50 each for a 5 course we had popadoms with dips then chicken chat for starter,chicken tikka and chicken balti with naan bread chips and rice for main absolutely delish we didn't have the ice cream as we were to full brill atmosphere would highly recommend defo will be returning best Indian meal I've tasted well done guys xx

I ate here tonight whilst away on business. I was greeted and shown straight to a table. I chose the banquet menu which had a good number of dishes to choose from. There was a large party (17 people I think!) and the gentleman who served me advised me to get my order in ASAP so I would be ahead of them. Very kind and helpful advice! I had a poppadom followed by Chicken Chaat (accompanied by 2 puri). This was excellent, well balanced flavours and great puri. My main was chicken dhansak and I had a plain nan and a side of channa masala. The channa was excellent. Chickpeas perfectly cooked and again well spiced and balanced. The dhansak was good although as a medium heat dish I would have expected more chilli. It was tasty though and I would happily return.

Fairly decent restaurant although doesn't have a good hygiene rating which is off-putting. Food ok, but nothing special. Service from the man who appears to be the manager is curt and unfriendly.

3rd Indian we found via ta. The first couldn't find anywhere to park. Second one completely empty so lucky for us finally found this gem. It was 8.40 on a Sunday night when we walked in was too late for the buffet they do, that's ok prefer to order fresh. We WAS just in time for their 5 courses for £12.95! Poppodoms & pickles, starter, main, side dish, rice chips or naan & either ice cream or a coffee! Everything we ordered was served piping hot & was delicious! The restaurant was quite busy for a Sunday which was encouraging after the last one we went to (the saffron) was completely empty. I definitely recommend this place & the 5 course offer is on 7 days a week until 9pm.

We attended the Sunday Buffet (Easter Sunday). The four of us agreed it was excellent. Such a varied choice - something for everyone including children who might not like curry. Followed by chocolate cake! Looking forward to going back SOON.

The Sunday buffet is a bargain the food is always hot and plentiful lots of choices of different curries and starters.

Ordered a takeaway/delivery from here on Saturday as a little treat for myself. All I can say is WOW. The food was exceptional. The flavours were so fresh and tasty. I will definitely be using this place again - my new favourite takeaway

We have been visiting the Sizzlin' Spice Indian Restaurant in Ellesmere Port, on a weekly basis for well over 6 months now. The restaurant is large, modern, and spacious. They have a very good chef, so the food is consistently good, (and this chef really knows how to make a great vindaloo). The staff are friendly, and always have time to explain what is in a particular dish, and are more than willing to ask the chef to prepare one of your favourite meals if it's not on the menu. There is a very good choice of dishes on the menu, and the prices are very reasonable, so I highly recommend you give it a try.

Came here with three colleagues as we were in the area and reviews were generally positive.

Had the sunday buffet yesterday at 6pm.It is good value at £11 per head, but we had to clear our own plates away, no one tool them from us. Both teh fried rice and pilau rice had virtually run out there was just the hard bits left in the tray and in the hour we were there no one refilled them.

As a family we love Indian food and were very impressed with this place during a recent stay in Ellesmere Port. It was very clean-pleasant service and the food was lovely. I had fish badshahi which was new to me and very tasty. The were helpful with my rather fussy daughter, adapting the menu. The only ting niggle is that the rice portions weren't big and so we ordered a 5th portion for a group of 4 (which came very quickly)

This restaurant is a gem, the food is fantastic, staff are excellent. All at a very reasonable price, I would highly recommend a visit here.

Great place, great food, great staff, great value. First time visit and even though it was a buffet the food was fresh, the plates were cleared away promptly and there was even chocolate cake for dessert. What more can I say

Top quality Indian food. Yet cheap. The staff (particularly Mr Fozy) were very friendly and even we're joking with the children and these were allowed to play freely. All meat food and vegetarian were of best standard. The above is based on the a Sunday visit (open buffet). Dedicated parking space. I will definitely visit again.

Experience has taught me to be a bit wary of deals in some Indian restaurants, but happily, we gave this place a try. The place is clean, well set out, the staff seem genuinely nice and the food is really lovely, fresh tasting and full of flavour. There really is nothing bad to say about this place - possibly the nicest surprise is the cost. They have meal deals which are great value for money. Overall this is easily the best Indian restaurant for miles around.

Have been here on several different occasions and eaten from the Sunday Buffet, tea time special and chosen alternative meals from the main menu. On every occasion we have had a lovely experience. However once our order got muddled up and several meals came incorrect. The manager was very sorry and did not charge for any meals we only paid for the drinks. We still enjoyed the occasion with our friends and this did not stop us from going back..

Just visited sizzlin spice for a Birthday meal for my daughter. We decided to go for the 5 course set priced meal and although some of the meals on the menu are starred as not included there is still plenty of choice. We were left with time to decide what meals we wanted and didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. The starters and main meals were delicious and we were left ample time to digest in between courses. All in all we were all impressed with the food and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Arrived for my grandaughters 21st birthday meal, there were 6 of us. We were seated and served within minutes. We all had the five course meal and every single course was superb! All our meals came at the same time which was amazing. The staff were fantastic, the decor was modern and clean. The open kitchen was fascinating, first time I had been there and would DEFINITELY go back. Excellent value for money.

The Indian restaurant we used to visit here has closed, so we gave this place a try. It was excellent with a good range of dishes on the menu. We started with a sharing platter (very tasty) and then had Lamb Kabulee and a fish dish Fangash Special - both superb - together with a couple of side dishes. The food was well presented and the portions a sensible size so that we could finish them all without overeating! The staff were friendly and helpful too, so all in all an excellent find!

I can now say we've eaten in every indian restraunt in Ellesmere port. For me this is number 1 purple olive being second favourite. There is always lots of big chunks of fresh chicken in the massala. All is very fresh. Staff are very friendly & professional.

Eight of us booked for last night 28th for an after xmas curry and have to say it was as tasty a curry as i,ve eaten,never having eaten here as i normally eat in chester i was happily led by the others they opted for a set meal type menu that consisted of poppadoms and dips good choice of starters even bigger choice of mains with naan,s limited desert or coffee to finish,the quality of the starters and mains were excellent and as good as i,ve had and all of the above was for a set price of a couple of pence shy of twelve quid think bargain is an understatment for what we received ,service was good though it was early in the evening seemed a very clean place only thing i could pick on was the fact there was only one cubicle in the loo and the air con was set too low so it wasn,t the warmest of places considering it was so cold outside but that had nothing to do with what was an excellent meal for the price we paid

We came up from London to stay at the Cheshire Oaks designer outlet and get some sale shopping done. It was Boxing Day evening and most of the onsite restaurants and those in the Colesium shopping park were closed by 9:30pm so we decided to drive 5 mins to the High Street.

The food was OK. Small portions which wasn't really an issue. The service was lacking we felt like we were in the way. We could smell smoking from the kitchen and the delivery driver was stomping through the restaurant in trackies drinking red bull. The bill was made up and upon leaving my son was nearly knocked down due to the delivery driver speeding into the tiny car park without looking or slowing down. The cocktail curry was just the meat from the starting in curry sauce !!

After hearing from so many friends and family...that sizzling spice was nice!....

Passed this restaurant a few times and have been dying to try it, went in tonight and was not disappointed. Easily one of the nicest curry's I've ever had accompanied by a very friendly and attentive service. I will definitely be coming here again in the future, would recommend to anyone who loves a good curry! 11/10!

We found this place en route to Liverpool from Birmingham. It was late and everywhere else said we were too late to eat. Not Sizzlin Spice! We were welcomed in, advised of the offers and not rushed. The meal was one of the best we have had and such great value. Great service too. Thank-you Manik and team! Just wish you were local to us.

My wife and I went for a meal tonight and although there was a very impressive buffet, we wanted to order from the menu. My wife is a vegetarian and was able to have a mossala sauce with pannere. The staff were first class and the food was excellent. What a top Asian restaurant. Highly recommended.

We visited here without booking,for a table of 10. Had a ten minute wait while they made us space, was offered drinks right away and staff couldn't off been more helpful as had a gentleman of 93 with us. They help us over with drinks and ensured everyone was settled with drinks and menus. 4 from party went with menu and rest of Sunday buffet. All food was piping hot and fresh, again staff was very helpful and nothing was to much bother for them. Will be returning due to food and service. A real credit to area

My husband and myself decided on the 5 course banquet, the food was lovely with plenty to choose from. Great value for money. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return.

My partner and I were told about Sizzlin Spice by a friend, who loves Indian food so we thought it must be good!!

Just visited Sizzlin Spice for the first time, we were walking past, enroute to another restraurant, when I noticed Sizzlin Spice, don't remember seeing it before (apparently it opened in Feb this year), the aromas coming from it were very appertising, so we thought we would go inside & take a look; first impression it was very clean, nice decor, Manak showed us around, by the time we had seen the third dish (of the Sunday Buffet) we had made up our mind that we were staying.

I found this restaurant wonderful my favorite madras was excellent. On my next visit I thought I would be more daring I had chicken afghani, it was delicious spicy and tasty. the rest of my family including grandchildren loved it aswell the staff are very friendly and helpful

One of the beautiful restaurant I have been in the area. Food was very tasty and the service was outstanding as all the staff are very friendly. Friendly staff, great ambience, gorgeous food & good value, what's not to like! My hubby & I have been several times in last 2 months, took friends last wk who also loved it. Took our boys for buffet Sunday, lots & lots of choices. Personally I prefer the a la carte menu but buffet was great for kids to try different things cheaply.

Thought I would try the new Sizzlin Spice for a take away, after reading the reviews I thought I would have a great meal. How wrong was I two takeaway meals came one Madras and a Dansak oil all over them and I have never seen a curry sauce so runny it nearly ran off the plate, chicken was chewy. The first and last time I will be ordering again.

Can't even be bothered going into detail I'll just let the photos do the job. Usual bought in runny slop dips to accompany the cardboard poppadums. Naan bread like chewing on a leather belt & curry sauce straight from jar piled over dyed halal tasteless chicken.

This was our first visit to Ellesmere Port's newest Inidan Restaurant. The food was excellent the service was very good and with the total bill under £30 for 5 courses was unbeatable value
