Sizzles in Tower Hamlets

I cannot believe this place has so few reviews as it’s absolutely brilliant. The food, the presentation, the service and a 5 star food hygiene rating. Such a wonderful surprise. Loved everything about it!

Clean, fast and causal neighborhood restaurant right off Brick Lane. Such kind servers and excellent food. Great prices and operating hours with plenty of seating.

As authentic a café as you could want. Great quality, great value and nice service. The amount of working men eating there and waiting for service is testament to the overall quality.

A good breakfast (Full English). All the usual suspects. Easy to swap tomato for an egg. Too much for me to eat! Would have preferred thinner sliced brown toast rather than medium white, but that is just me. Friendly staff. Good value for central London. Hope to return

Muy buenos desayunos y a buen precio. Gente muy amable. Tiene mesas para grupos grandes y pequeños (grandes mejor escaleras abajo). Desayunamos aquí los 4 días que estuvimos y todo lo que probamos estaba rico. Muy recomendable.

Stumbled on this cafe by chance. It is where the original locals of Islington go. Real people!!! Lovely smiley staff. Fast service, loads of choice, reasonably priced. Decent cup of tea. What more can you want??? What a gem.

For a full English breakfast this is a great cafe to visit! There are several set menu breakfast options to choose from and you can add extras if you'd like an extra sausage for example. A mound of chips comes with Set 1 breakfast and all breakfast options come with toast and tea/coffee. The plate is filled with food. Fantastic value for money, cheaper than other cafes I've visited. Outdoor seating available too. Quite a hidden gem, it is within a 6min walk from Liverpool Street station but I did need Google Maps to find the cafe. Its worth finding though, this is a very impressive breakfast!

We visited Sizzles during the 2020 pandemic when hotels weren’t serving breakfast. Well I’m really glad we did! What a great little cafe, lovely friendly people, great food and not expensive at all. On our next visit in 2021 I was really excited to see Sizzles had made it through and ordered a large breakfast (with chips!) to celebrate. Long May Sizzles reign

Loved it here! Really well cooked food, nice quality, huge portions and very friendly servers. Not a huge place on first looking, but has downstairs seating too. We researched the area and found it had good reviews. The absolute telling sign was the people waiting patiently outside for someone to vacate their seats! Now that is a VERY good reputation to have and well deserved in my opinion. Highly recommended

Staying at travel tavern round the corner and looking for breakfast. There were several cafes suitable in the area but this caught my eye. Great bacon and sausage baguettes. The whole menu looked good value (this is in the city remember). So good went back for the same again the next morning

I've been going to Shizzles for the past 5 years. Consistent, reliable, fast service and does the job cafe. Set 1 is a must, great value and very filling.

I regularly have a full English with a couple of commuting buddies and it was a pleasure to add this one to our portfolio of decent caff's. The two things I judge my breakfast on is whether I can order tin toms and black pudding on my full, its not the same without!. I can confirm that they are both available. My breakfast was served very quickly and was delicious. I will be returning very soon as one of the buddies was missing today and he missed a great breakfast with friendly staff and swift service.

Whenever I'm staying in London I always try and find a proper backstreet greasy spoon to get a full English in the morning. This place did not disappoint. Quite busy when we arrived but enough room for us to sit down without going upstairs where there's more seating. The lovely waitress told us to take a seat and she'd come and take our order. A couple of minutes later and two fry ups had been ordered. 5-10 minutes later and they were on the table. Plenty of everything and pretty much nothing left out. Tea/Coffee and toast all included in the price which was just over £7 which you can't argue with. If I was staying longer I'd come again without a doubt.

Visité con colegas varias veces, hasta ahora, durante el almuerzo, aproximadamente una vez por semana. Seguiré volviendo. Siempre tenemos espacio para sentarnos abajo. El personal siempre es amable y el servicio siempre es rápido. Nos sirven rápido y la comida llega rápido. Nos gusta especialmente la dama rubia del East End que usualmente nos sirve. ¡A veces le doy una orden complicada y ella lo entiende bien! Gran lugar para un almuerzo rápido en una cafetería local por un gran valor. ¡Que es no gustar! Seguid así, ¡volveremos!

We dropped into this cafe by chance. It's friendly, decent cafe food and incredible value for money. A wide choice too. Not much more to say about it - just really good value.

Absolutamente brillante hallazgo para un INGLÉS COMPLETO para prepararte para el día. Las damas eran trabajadoras, habladoras y tenían una actitud amable y educada. Nos encantó el ajetreado ambiente de ajetreo y bullicio de todas las secciones transversales de personas preparándose para el día. La comida era excelente y muy porciones de corazón. El jugo de naranja en pequeños recipientes tipo botella de leche era simplemente brillante. Una auténtica experiencia de café de Londres con una sonrisa! ! Me encantó, ¡volveremos! No puedo dar mayor recomendación. ¡Sigan con las buenas mujeres y sigan sonriendo!

An unpretentious, typical British style cafe serving stereotypical British fry up to the honest working man. So don't expect modern decor or much else from the interiors.There's a good range of options available to vegetarians, as in several. So kudos for that. The cafe only accepts credit card payments for payments above £3. Which is a bit sad, otherwise I'd get my coffee from here in the mornings.

Have been to this great cafe twice now after we've stayed at the local Premier Inn on Brick Lane. Wide choice of different options on the menu, the full English breakfast is great (7 or 8 different options) and for 2 people with breakfast and a drink (and also a round of toast) came to £15 which is great value especially for London. So if you happen to be in the Aldgate area or Petticoat Lane and fancy a fry up pay this cafe a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Been coming here for quite a while now as often as work and other commitments allow. It is a very friendly place, quick service with generous portions, and coffee or tea with toast included in an all ready cheap price. Quality of the food is always good, and the staff are very friendly. Have taken to meeting up with people here, as they are not too worried about rushing you out the door as some places do, and to spread the word about this little gem, and hope it stays as good as it is for as long as possible. I will always be back for more. Highly recommend for a quick, friendly, hearty breakfast in unhurried circumstances.

The food great cheap grub but with love. The atmosphere is very friendly and local. The service is excellent, they are lovely and friendly and also very helpful. This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat.

Recommended by stallholder at Spitalfields 4 of us had a great late Sunday morning fry up. Service good and they coped with special requests of Earl Grey & decaffinated tea. Really excellent value and would go back if in area again.

You always know that you've chosen a good place for breakfast when you see it full of men wearing hi vis jackets. I had the mega breakfast and boy was it filling. Really good portion size - I was stuffed when I left. Will I go back - yep certainly will.

Sizzles is located just off Petticoat Lane Market. Dropped in for a Sunday breakfast. Breakfast was a Veggie Sausage, egg, beans, 2 hash browns and tomatoes this was £4.80 with tea or coffee (£0.50 extra for herbal tea). The service was efficient and the staff friendly and polite. The Cafe had 2 floors and the decor was mediocre with Marilyn monroe memorabilia located in the basement section. The basement section can seat 32 people and ground level 18. The menu is reasonable priced and you can buy a set breakfast for £4.20 or pop in for a hot drink from £0.70. There's one grim looking toilet. Oops I nearly left without paying.
