We went in because we urged to by Nigel from the bookshop (no 69, which we also highly recommend) We had a proper pasty, with faultlessly cooked veg, and the right amount of perfectly peppered beef skirt. The crimping was a creation of Cornish cuteness. My friend chose a diabetes inducing (which was what she was after!😂) lovely Mars Bar cake. Sally makes it all herself, and there was not anything that didn't look gorgeous. Sally was warm and friendly, welcomed us in, and made a point to say thank you and goodbye and wish us a good rest of our day. We left, sated, warm and happy.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the breakfast even though it was not the largest it was one of the best I have had.

It's only early, but I can already tell that my breakfast will not have been the highlight of my day: dubious sausage, dry mushrooms, cold egg, supermarket bread. Could do much better. Decent enough coffee.

Excellent small cafe brilliant service, Steve and Sally are so kind popped in evey week for bacon and poached eggs and they do gluten free,all for £7 will be back 10/10

First time we have been in here for a few years and it was lovely .Such a huge variety of home made food and very reasonably priced .Certainly one to revisit soon . Dog friendly too !!

Very slow service ,make sure you have plenty of time ,very noisy cramped cafe ,don't order the tuna /potato ,worst I've ever had,salad was rubbish as well ,sorry it just was not good for £8+

Don't tell those pesky Cornish folk but here is the best pasties to be had in the South West. And as for the cakes...well Mr Kippling doesn't have shares in any other coffee shop!!

Wonderful service. They have made delicious Christmas deserts for me to freeze. I could not be more satisfied! Bovey Tracey is so lucky to have Steve and Sally.

Cycled out with my wife and decided to have something to eat here.Unfortunately the food was awful I had the burger which was raw in the middle my wife had halloumi Burger with mushrooms which came without the mushrooms and both came with soggy fries. Will not be repeating the experience!

Been to the House of marbles down the road and the pottery cafe looked pricey for what we wanted so decided to give 64 a try in the hope of a nice gluten free cake selection. Unfortunately caught them at a bad time as they were running down stock before going on holiday, but the three lunches we had were excellent value - 2 jackets and a quiche. Accompanying salad had a lovely twist (watermelon and plum slices) and the coleslaw was delicious. Hot water provided to top up your teapot too. Very friendly and welcoming service - well worth the short drive.

We stumbled across this little place while visiting Bovey Tracey for the day while on holiday in the area. A lovely little place with such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We had breakfast and this was carefully cooked to our individual personalised orders - and it was excellent! Lovely food, great atmosphere - would definitely recommend.

Called in for cream tea following reviews. Cannot fault the place. Excellent service and wonderful homemade scones. Will definitely be back.

This is the best coffee I have had in our holiday. Even the decaf was scrum. Superb scones were crusty on the outside and fluffy inside just as they should be. The rest of the food looked brilliant too - amazing looking quiche and baguette bread with interesting toppings.. We sat in the little conservatory and it was lovely even on a grey day. They also have a little outside patio. Some people say staff were rude but I think they are just shy and reserved. Once we got chatting to them they were a delight.

What a wonderful place! Nice customers talking to you and lovely people running it - nothing is too much and so polite and kind. I’ll definitely be back. I had quiche and salad and it was such a big portion! Super tasty and very affordable.

Popped in quickly as I couldnt stop, wanted to pick up a 'sweet treat' to take home. How good to see freshly made cakes, pastries and biscuits just coming out of the oven, cooling off ready to be served and eaten ! My husband devoured his Bakewell Tart, and the Meringue........It really was the best I have ever eaten ! (and Ive eaten a lot !!!) light, fluffy, melt in the mouth, with a touch of cream, delicious ! Fortunately I have to be back in Bovey again tomorrow, so will be buying the same again !

We stopped here for brunch whilst on a long weekend to Dartmoor and happily came here. Its a nice and relaxing place to eat and we all enjoyed our breakfasts from full English to boiled eggs and back on granary. Drinks where all good although my Flat white was definitely not a flat white; but was a decent latter or milky coffee. Flat white is all about the double shot and more importantly the way the milk is stretched!

Cafe 64 was recommended to me and a colleague today, we were on a lunch break. The cafe looked nice and so did the food, however, the staff looked straight at us and did not even acknowledge us, there was no queue, we said hello but the female member of staff just looked and turned away, we waited another 5 mins at the counter and still no acknowledge whatsoever... so we left. Customer service absolutely appalling, won't be going back and would not recommend 😑

No welcome,just an abrupt "what do you want " sit down we will bring it over . We went outside to sit ,,very dirty shabby area ,just don't understand why owners don't take pride in their places ,toilet was dirty over spilling bin and dirty floor at 10am we only had coffee which was very decent .

Second time have visited this wonderful cafe in two weeks, after finding it on Trip Advisor. Was not disappointed. Friendly staff and absolutely amazing repertoire of delicious home made cakes, scones, quiches - to name but a few! If you're looking for great coffee and something tasty to eat - this is the place!

I shouldnt go in really because I always end up with some ridiculously gorgeous cake..today they had my absolute favourite in..white choc and raspberry brownie.. which of course went beautifully with my coffee. My favourite coffee stop in Bovey... support local, shop local.

I only popped in for a cuppa so i could use the loo. Ended up staying for an early lunch, coffee, tea and take away cakes for my boys. Lovely friendly owner, beautiful selection of home made cakes and a really comfortable cafe area. I will be back with my children to sample more of the cakes.

What a find, tucked away in Bovey Tracey this delightful cafe! A friendly and warm welcome the atmosphere was just lovely as were the homemade cakes and other delights , the cooked breakfast looked delicious ( another table) We had homemade bakewell tart and cream it was the best . Definitely be back and thank you keep doing what you are doing !

Popped in today after a long absence and was not disappointed, the cakes and sandwiches were usual standard of excellence. If in the area this little cafe will not disappoint on value, food and wonderful staff.

Lovely people with a passion for baking, most delicious quiche I have ever had, beautiful homely soup served with bread that tastes exactly what I imagined the hovis advert bread to taste like (bloody gorgeous) Thank you! We will be back.

Well worth a visit.... If you are on a long journey and need to stop, you can forget the service stations. Bovey Tracey is a stone throw off the main A38 route and this pretty little village has a lovely little café with great drinks, light meals and exceptional home made cakes. Their scone selection is outstanding and baked daily on site. It's called 64 because that is their average rating out of 10.

Just had a lovely sandwich, coffee and cake here after a gorgeous weekend in Exmoor. Sandwiches were delicious made with fresh ingredients and really well presented followed by excellent coffee and yummy banana and chocolate cake. Above all Juja (hope I spelt that well?) was delightful. She was so professional and passionate and a credit to the business. If all staff felt that way we’d all eat our more! Good luck in your future. We’ll be back!

We called for morning coffee and toasted tea cake before walking to Lustleigh. The coffee and tea cake were really good and very reasonably priced and the lady who runs the cafe is very friendly. We even called back for a cup of tea and cake in the afternoon after our walk.Very nice cafe in Bovey Tracy.

Always go here when we re staying in the area, Do a lovely homily pie and also yummy cakes. Can t wait to return.

What a delight to have found this Cafe at the top end of Bovey Tracey. Beautiful home made food cooked on the premises all freshly prepared and served warm from the ovens and as for the desserts, well just fill your boots. Well worth the stroll from the river up the town for this cafe and as Arnie said " I will be be back."

Faboulus little cafe, well worth the hike up the hill, Fresh loose tea, mixed to your liking, with homemade cakes of every kind, all the food in made in in the cafe and Sally is very accommodating with your requests. Easy parking , just up the road and turn left, and left again

The owners here have taken a large boring room and turned it to a quirky interesting place to sit and have coffee or a drink. I visited one afternoon with friends for coffee and cake and next time I'm in the area will definitely go back. This fully licensed premises is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little cafe. Really good quality food. Fantastic cooked breakfast. Good value. Very friendly staff. I love that you get a proper tea pot, with an extra pot of water, cup and saucer and a tea strainer (rather than just a mug with a teabag in it!). Highly recommend.

We visited on a wet Saturday morning and all 3 of (dog included), were greeted very warmly.

Outside seating area was very disappointing, it was a beautiful sunny day, but the tables were dirty and the patio was cluttered. The food was prompt and value for money. Nothing to rave over though. Service was good.

Ok, but only 'average'. Coffee and food was good, but customer service need some improvement - more attentive when customers are waiting at the counter. If it gets really busy, it may be a little tight around the tables.

Stopped off the A38 for a break in the journey. Cakes looked good but we settled on bacon baps and drinks. Place was busy but we found seats and awaited. The freshly cooked bacon was very tasty and almost crisp but was seriously let down by the quality of the bun which was of very poor supermarket type. Though 2 types of coffee bean were advertised, the staff couldn't advise the type of beans or the origin. So, I gambled on an espresso but the result was poor. The coffee had been burned and so was very bitter and it was served with very little and thin crema in a tea cup. Oddly, we were not asked if our food/drinks were satisfactory. Service was perfunctory and seating/dining area clean and the place is clearly quite popular with locals. With a few tweaks, this could be an excellent cafe. Not sure if we will be back as Ashburton has better to offer.

Met a friend there and was treated to superb service, killer coffee , seriously dangerous cake and a lot of laughter! I loved it! Shall be back as soon as the 'grockles' have moved on.

I firstly asked if my dog was allowed anywhere and was told with a smile we could sit anywhere with her. We were going for a long walk so decided on the full breakfast. We didn't have to wait too long considering it was freshly cooked to order. What a treat. It arrived steaming hot and beautifully presented, everything was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. The toast was amazing. Just one complaint, I was so full I couldn't manage one of the amazing looking cakes on display but will be in the area again soon so will definitely be back

I needed a table for 6 for a business meeting in the Bovey area so rang Cafe 64 to see if they would reserve a table for us.They need no problem and we were looked after well with drinks and of course, a fine selection of cake.Will definitely use again. The Cafe is very keen to be cycle friendly so if you are passing through Bovey and fancy a friendly cafe that welcomes cyclists with good tea, coffee and cake, then Cafe 64 is the place.Very nice and will definitely use again.

We had an excellent lunch here last week. The home-cooked food was tasty, plentiful and beautifully presented and the service was outstanding. We shall definitely visit again and will recommend it to friends and family.

I have visited cafe 64 many finds so felt I should finally review it.It's warm & welcoming all staff are friendly & attentive & the service is perfect. It's is ideal for a hot drink and cake or a substantial lunch. All the food is prepared whole you wait so is always fresh and tasty.I have a 4 year old son and he enjoys visiting as they have a special place with toys to keep little ones entertained.I always enjoy my visits here & if you're visiting Bovey Tracey then you really should visit.
