Sixteas Cafe in Rossendale

I really enjoy the quizzes on a Thursday night, with Jordan being a great host. I ordered Korean chicken and salt and pepper fries. Both were freshly made and delicious.

Great food and atmosphere, staff are great.

My food had come with beans on, I did not want nor order them, I asked for them not to be on my meal then the waiter had returned my meal without means although they used the same chicken and chips in a different takeaway box. This could’ve been a lot more serious if I had been allergic, I expected the service to be better due to how expensive the food is.

We called here for an impromptu Sunday lunch, as dined here in the week before & food / service was decent. We both ordered roast options where it was a tale of 2 halves, nicely cooked meat & potatoes, but the veg portions were smallest I've ever come across. Literally half a carrot with a teaspoon each of peas & shredded cabbage. Peas shouldn't be on a roast either, expect fresh veg when paying £22. We'd heard couple on the next table ask if anymore veg was coming when they'd got there's earlier. Now we knew what they meant. I read previous review below saying similar about veg portions size. It's a shame as it's a nice place, decent service & food quality etc. Hopefully, things will improve with veg portions size.

I put an earlier review on here regarding poor service ie no member of staff present which having now spoken with owner Georgina and had the exceptional circumstances explained I fully retract. Excellent response to customer feedback I look forward to visiting soon.
