Sitwell Arms in Rotherham

Food is good ( love them big chips), the service is good, in these troubled times they actually have a real bar outside in the garden. But when the sun goes down it does get cold.. Roll on the days we can go back inside.

We turned up to the pub not realising it had changed ownership - now a Greene King. We loved this place before: various tasty dishes from the menu, and a lovely warm feel to the place. When we walked out, it just felt different: it was cold; there was no life to it; and the food was awful. The menu was extremely limited (even in the circumstances) and nobody asked us once how the the food was, whilst we were eating. I had lasagne and chips (the chips weren’t too bad). It came with garlic bread, which was harder than the table!! My fiancée had curry (chicken korma or Thai green only option). It looked like the insides of my daughter’s nappy.I’ll never ever go back to this place whilst it’s under Greene King ownership.

Called in with a friend, pub lovely staff nice but did notice one lady not doing a great deal and on her phone all the time ( very unprofessional) food was a little tasteless and definitely not fresh all seemed and tasted like it was microwaved. Want be going for food again put for a drink it’s a nice pub.

Covid safe,helpful chatty staff,beautiful home cooked food,great service,will be back delicious.The pub also sports a pizza oven with a tasty menu of different stone baked pizzas,may have to try one on my next visit.

We called in for lunch yesterday.The food was good . The pub has maintained a 25% cut in prices after the "Eat out to help out" scheme. The pub boasts an excellent outside seating area, for more clement days.Amber served us. It was so refreshing to be served by a pleasant genuine young lady.

Lovely food, excellent value and friendly staff. Visited with my sister for lunch. The fish and chips were excellent, hand cut chips, beautiful fresh fish in delicious batter. Would definitely return

Wrong information given with menus, said only skinny fries were available, till said that was wrong and they had mash and chunky chips. Food arrived with soggy fish batter, hard overly crispy fish fingers and onion rings Soggy naan bread, leathery popadoms.4 small pieces of meat on the hanging kebabs with vegetables that seemed old, as if they’d been left for days, black burnt corn on the cobs and soggy fries on the side. Unorganised service, tried to take our starters away twice after they’d already been taken, then a long wait between starters and mains.

Visited Fri with friends I ordered curry it was beef although well presented with rice nan & poppadom the curry sauce was very watery and un appealing - cant recommend eating hereI think there's new management here so unfortunately not promising I would have given staff my feedback but no one asked if everything was OK

We ordered 3 meals today for lunch and waited 55 minutes for them. On arrival, it was very poor quality. Chips appeared to have been re-heated, the peas were pale green and tasteless. Will not be returning or recommending.

Me and my mate went Friday afternoon for a couple of beers 🍺 🍺🍺🍺the pub was clean and the staff were very obliging and kept to all the rules.The beers were spot on 🥳will call again 👍

On arrival the friendly waitress explained the new procedure regarding covid 19 rules. So after hand sanitizing and filling in a track and trace we were shown to our previously booked table. After deciding what to eat we ordered our food, although only one vegan alternative after phoning previously I was able to have a Vegan pie which they had ordered in for me. My friend ordered a mixed grill which was a very generously sized meal.Although they were busy, our food arrived 20 minutes later. The food was well presented and really tasty. The waitress checked to make sure everything was ok with our meals. We really enjoyed our visit being able to relax and chat in the comfort of a quieter area although it was early saturday evening and they had a busy bigger room and a full beer garden outside. We will definitely be returning soon possibly on a week day to take advantage of the current 10%. I would definitely recommend visiting this lovely pub and restaurant in a excellent area called Whiston.

visited just last night to take advantage of the government's 50% off , i have to say the food was absolutely superb ! Andrew, Mandy and their staff have covid safety nailed , im so sad to learn Andrew and Mandy are soon to leave for pastures new, they have put heart and sole into this place!

We went in yesterday first time out since lockdown. Everything on the costumer service and Cleanliness was really good. But was overall a disappointment. we live local and been coming for years also my partner used to work here. So had to send our first round of drinks back as tasted off almost like too much line clean not sure. Then ordered food to be told haven’t got certain things on menu but we still had food the adults come out then asked where was kids and it had not gone through. Then waitress came back to say they dint have what kids ordered left. and by this time we nearly finished our meals so eventually kids food did come so went to order more drinks and again come back saying we have not got stuff. Like I said did not have problem with staff or the food just seemed unorganised to say we was first ppl in when doors open at 4 thanks will still keep coming just hope better next time

I had the classic burger my friend is vegan she had the chick pea curry both meals beautiful and staff are so nice and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely warm and welcoming. We will come again .

I felt it was right to support our local pubs once the ban had been lifted but obviously there’s that little doubt of l hope everyone behaves.Well despite the negative things I have seen on Facebook about other pubs hats off to The Sitwell management and staff.When we arrived we gave our names and filled in a slip with contact details before being shown to our table. There were arrows clearly marking the one way system and all staff had masks. Our order was taken at the table and the tray placed with the drinks for us to pick up. The staff were courteous and made sure they looked after us.Well done to you all x

Not been in this place before, met another couple here as in the middle of us both so a 10 minute drive away. Nice big pub/ restaurant on the main road. It was Sunday so had a roast dinner and we got the last ones as it was 5pm. The food was delicious, I had beef plenty of it and the plate full of vegetables with mash, roasties and Yorkshire pudding. Will come again as makes a difference from having a carvery and price ok at £9.95 each.

Had evening meal there with my partner and 1 year old son. Staff seemed friendly and we wasn’t waiting long for our meals. My partner enjoyed his meal I wasn’t too keen on mine. I ordered stew in Yorkshire pud just seemed like meat swimming in gravy. We ordered chicken nuggets for little one. Waitress little clumsy put hot plate in front of 1 year old son in high chair with no warning how hot it was . Probably would try it again in hopes I just picked the wrong thing on the menu.

Really enjoyed our visit. Lovely food and good value. We visited at lunchtime and the staff were lovely and friendly. The lunchtime deals were good value and the food was good quality. We’ll definitely be back in the future.

We visited the Sitwell Arms today for an evening meal. It’s been a while since we have been here and I must say the Sitwell Arms has improved dramatically and the pub has such high standards and a professional atmosphere! We had a meal (starter & main) both the food and service was to a very high standard. The Pie, Fish & chips and steak sandwich was presented beautifully and also looked as good as it tasted! The pub hosts Mandy & Andrew really made us feel welcome and at home and even had time to come and have a chat with us despite been a very busy Friday evening. We would highly recommend the Sitwell Arms for anyone wanting to sample quality ails and great food! Thanks for a lovely evening and will be returning again and spreading the good word! Had the pleasure of taking a young man who I work with to sitwell arms has we thought we would try some food in the local community. Well we didn't feel very welcome at all and has he was abit vocal we had a manger come to us and asked what was a matter with him. He also was walking round the pub and accidentally went behind the bar. The bar staff told him to "get out" we said sorry and said he doesnt understand. We order the food and then in space of 30 seconds decided it was best to take the young man back home has he was to unsettled, the bar staff said we could have a refund but then the 2.mangers came out and spoke to myself quite rudely! It's a shame has this day and age complex needs people are still getting treated unfair because of there disability.. and for the manger to say "this isnt a place for him" and gave us some dirty looks makes me sick.. hope your all ashamed of yourself!

We stopped going in the Sitwell last year because the service was terrible. When we heard it was under new management in December we decided we'd give it a try again and now it's our regular Friday night venue. It's like a different pub entirely, the staff are quick to acknowledge you at the bar and are friendly and efficient. I am bit of a people watcher and It just looks a whole lot more organised and the staff seem happy in their work. Previously there were never enough staff on the bar (I've seen people get sick of waiting to be served and walk out) and those that were working always looked hassled. Now the whole atmosphere is better and the pub looks and smells clean. Since the new management took over the Sitwell has become a lot of people's preferred pub, I hope it continues to bring people to Whiston.

At long last this pub has management in place who have turned it around and vastly improved this lovely old pub. You are served straight away by friendly staff rather than having to wait ages as used to be the case. The management work so hard they deserve a medal!

Wonderful food, management and staff could not do enough to help. Highly recommend. Great venue for family events or for spending time with friends

Recently went to Sitwell arms for my grandmothers funeral wake and the service from the staff was absolutely excellent and the buffet food was delicious and fresh. Would 100% go back for a family meal again. Thankyou for making a difficult day much better

We had the reception following the funeral for my mum at the Sitwell Arms.On booking the venue, we visited so that we could see the room and choose food for the day. We ended up staying to have food, which was absolutely outstanding. We knew we had made the perfect choice. We had the chance to meet Andrew and Mandy who run the place. They were both wonderful to us and went above and beyond to help us plan and prepare for the reception. We visited the Sitwell Arms again twice before the day of the funeral, as we loved the food and service so much.On the day, it was the perfect place to hold the reception. All the guests were so complimentary of the food and ambiance.Would highly recommend them for any kind of visit. I look forward to going back again in future!

The new management here just get better

Went for Sunday dinner which was exceptionally nice and lovely to have veg served in separate dishes. The choice of quality beers and drinks was excellent and the sweets were also delicious. Been a few times now and enjoyed the company of the new hosts and there helpful and welcoming attitude.Well recommended

The meals are not as good expensive tomatoe ketchup all over my lap not good drinks are so expensive £15 for a house wine such a rip off not happy would not be coming back

Visited for Tribute Act. When I booked I wasn't told we would be placed with restricted viewing. If I'd known I wouldn't have booked it. We had 2 gaps in the walk one with a large horses head the other blocked by a lady dancing on her chair on the other side. My sister is classed as disabled as she has had knee replaced and is waiting for the other one to be done so she remained seated so could not see the show.We had no plates for fist course so 2 of us are off napkins for the charcuterie.Iasked for custard for pudding as when I booked I was told it was real cream but it turned out to be squirty cream. Would like to be offered some if my money back as should have been told all this on booking.Steak however was lovely.

I came here with my mum on boxing day for food. Should have realised it was pre book but the lady behind the bar was so nice and managed to squeeze us in with there only been two of us. Had a fantastic lunch and for a good price. The food tastes home cooked. The only negative comment is how long it took to get served at the bar for a drink. Otherwise a lovely meal and venue!

Me and my family have just been for a Sunday meal. I don’t normally write reviews but this meal was terrible!! Everyone on my table said how over cooked the meat was including the Yorkshire pudding. People’s beef was black and a paper thin slice. My chicken on the bone was so dry I couldn’t eat it.

Food was really lovely but landlady did not even acknowledge us on arrival, just kept walking past us and I found it really rude. When we sat down for meal she would speak to people she knew. Could not fault food and staff do the place credit

Came here on a Friday night with a group of girls from work. The food was lovely and I found it excellent value for money. I had the small fish and chips and then the chocolate brownie with ice cream. The two young servers behind the bar were lovely, but they were being treated awfully by the assistant manager. We didn’t quite get her name but she was a small women with brunette hair, who was talking to her staff with such disrespect. She was miserable and should not be in a customer service role. However, it was a nice meal and the other members of staff provided excellent service.

I was looking forward to lovely Sunday drinks and Sunday Lunch with my beautiful daughter.Scores out of 10 = Drinks 9, Sunday Lunch I’m afraid 1. Meat that tough it nearly offered me out, one carrot cut into 3 What’s that about.After changing it twice it was same and everything so cold So asked for refund.Next time I’ll remember to wait a hour at Chequers Inn Whiston to sit down for a proper Sunday Lunch.

Nothing too much trouble for Mandy and the staff. Buffet top notch and not overly expensive. I would recommend to anyone. Had a meal when booming and the food was excellent

Absolutely disgusting how they treat people. My daughter her boyfriend and friends go to Sitwell arms frequently and the way the staff treat them is appalling. They check their ID’s which I understand and know about the challenge 25 policy but they take their ID’s off them go round the corner and write not only their names but addresses as well!! When questioned they say it’s in case the police do checks ?? Really ? You’ve checked their ID’s job done. They go to the Hind their id’s are checked and that’s sufficient . Last night one of the staff said to one of the girls who wasn’t even at the bar “ get your ID out or you can leave “ wow disgusting. I have reported this to Rotherham council licensing team who say that the challenge 25 policy does not endorse the taking of personal details. The management have told the council one thing and my daughter another. Absolutely disgusted. I have never ever known another pub take personal details from anybody’s ID so what gives The Sitwell Arms the right to do this ??!

Emailed in advanced about staying over in Campervan for a couple of nights. Emailed promptly back saying yes no problem. We had a lovely meal and reasonably priced . Good selection of beers and very helpful staff. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again as the pub as a lot to offer. Live music most weekends which is a great bonus. Highly recommend a visit.

A group of us visited the Sitwell Arms last night and it was a complete disaster. The food was either incorrect or inedible. One of the waiters came out and offered the same meal or something different.. he said there's more Gammon but it's defrosting.. URGH! NO THANK YOU!!!! So clearly none of the food/ meals are cooked fresh, or homemade!

3 course meal and Whitney tribute night all for £20 per head. Well looked after by Landlady and staff could not fault it will definitely be back.

Just had Christmas lunch for 10 of us. The food and staff were fantastic. My mum has dementia and the team have been so caring the whole way through from booking to on the day.

We went to this pub whilst we were staying at Rotherham and it has a great atmosphere.

Alex, what an absolute hero, me and 2 colleagues were on a team night out and Alex made it the BEST team night out we’ve ever had, as long as he’s here we’ll definitely be returning as we know we’ll have a great night, friendly staff & clean facilities as well as amazing customer services makes for a great night out

Booked for 8 , 3 course meal & meatloaf tribute singer, Friday 13th & what a great night ⭐️

Fantastic night, the food was outstanding, too much food to eat for a change, well done chef will defo be back for food, the only downside was the tribute act, he didn’t do all George Michael songs, did other people too which wasn’t what we paid for, I was also told the meatloaf tribute night before was the same, the bar staff were fantastic especially Haley and her colleagues who was so warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.

Arrived and overheard the owner giving one of the staff a dressing down. The same owner took my order and f****d it up but made the same young lad who he had previously laid into take the blame. Very rude and arrogant management. Would never go here again!!!!!!

Had the most fantastic wake at the The Sitwell arms yesterday. All my guests enjoyed there visit many had not been before but think they will return. Mandy and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The buffet was exceptional and excellent value for money. I had booked for 60 but there was well over 90 so they quickly add some more. I cannot thank them enough for making a difficult day so much easier.

Being a local in Whiston, i used to use this pub as my local, but stopped going in due to bad management, drug problems and miserable staff.

Rang in the morning to book a table for 4 adults. Although when we arrived they couldn't find the booking Deborah (new manager?) looked after us superbly. We had a short wait but very happy with the level of customer service.

Don’t really know what the last people are complaining about. Tonight is our first night there and just wow! Management, staff and other customers are just amazing, to say the new managers have only been in charge just over 3 weeks it’s fab! Love, love love it!!!

Our first visit since 2015..what a surprising change. Loving the new decor in the restaurant area and the food was awesome. Many thanks for the warm welcome Mandy & Andrew and the gorgeous food. We're definately coming in for the Christmas fayre menu in the coming weeks if today's meal was anything to go by..!! I never realised you did tribute nights, gonna be a great venue for our works Christmas party.. you should think about hiring out your room, it would make a great venue.

We went on Saturday night had a fantastic night very busy 70's dj sampled some delicious canopies met the new managers Andrew & Mandy lovely friendly couple. Plenty of attentive bar staff hardly had to wait to be served even though the place was very busy with various ages of customers the place was alive such a lovely atmosphere can't wait to go again already got my eye on a few of the on coming events which look great and definitely going for a meal as my son in law had a fabulous meal when he went spot on

I went on Saturday night for the first time. Great atmosphere and a warm welcome for everyone from Andrew and Mandy - 1st class team. I can see this being my new regular.

Been for Sunday lunch today and I can honestly say the meal was gorgeous... there was definitely plenty of beautiful veg the meat was lovely and all piping hot ... I will definitely be going back and will recommend to friends and family wanting a warm friendly pub with lovely none expensive food was also a nice touch that the new management came and introduced themselves and I must say they both seem very welcoming and friendly and made an extra effort with the children which I thought was lovely

Gammon & chips ordered and money taken at bar only for a waitress to be sent over to tell us we needed to pay an extra 3.25 each as it was after 5pm. At no point had we specified which menu we were ordering from. The food took a good half an hour or so to come and was decidedly lacking. The eggs were like rubber joke eggs, the gammon was almost hard and overcooked, the peas were tasteless the the chips passable at best. The only explanation for this would be that once made it had been sat under the warmers for a fair amount of time. We told the waitress this who went to get someone. We assume it must have been the manager who came but no introduction was made no any sign of uniform/official clothing to hint to this. She offered to cook the meals again but we were already put off so settled for scampi. This arrived promptly and was a great improvement - both the scampi and chips were obviously freshly cooked and couldn't be faulted. I think we have to assume the peas ate just window dressing as they were equally tasteless.

We usually just pop in to the Sitwell for a drink but on this occasion decided to try the food, my partner had the rabbit pie, not to everyone's taste but he thought it was well cooked, nicely presented and delicious! I chose the smaller fish and chips, the fish was really good the batter lovely and crispy and the homemade chips were the best we've had in a pub for a long while, the service was friendly, the manageress was chatty and attentive, all in all well worth a visit. We will probably try Sunday lunch next time.

Went to the Sitwell for my daughters birthday celebration. We had a warm welcome but being short on staff didn’t help getting drinks and food ordered, but apart from that the meal was good, came out nice and hot, I had Thai fish cake, delicious and my husband fish which again was good. Would recommend.

Delicious pie as usual ,second time I've had it. Unfortunately the Thai fishcakes were overcooked and rock hard, the bar staff were very apologetic and offered to replace them .That apart the food generally is very good and service is excellent. We will be returning

Decided to pop in for a quick meal. Big mistake. The pub wasn’t busy as it was about 6:15 on a Thursday evening. It took 10 minutes stood at the bar ordering 3 simple meals. The bar person informed us she needed to do something and wouldn’t be long. On her return she started to take our order. What fish is it, don’t know will go and ask. Do I want an extra portion of chips with mine, yes. We then had quite a wait before the meals were brought out. On looking at his curry my husband was not amused. It was so watery it fell through the fork. My husband said it was more soup than curry and asked the waitress to take it back and ask for a curry. She took the meal back to the kitchen, but did not come back to let us know how long the replacement meal would be and would not give eye contact when she walked past. After 10 minutes the waitress came back with the meal, which didn’t look any better. We informed the waitress of this and her comment was “ he says that’s the way it comes” We said we weren’t satisfied and didn’t want to pay for the meal, but she just walked off. My husband tried to eat it but it was cold, we believe this was the same meal brought back. The popadom was soggy after being sat on top of the watery curry and the rice was Luke warm. The extra portion of chips never turned up. We went to the bar to complain and ask for the price of the portion of chips back. We had to wait for the assistant manager to deal with our refund we complained about the curry to be told this was the first day of their new menu . We complained about the customer service and were told the assistant manager was quite aware the she had problems with the staff but had only been there a few weeks and that she is dealing with the problem. I informed her that her problem was not our fault. She asked for our name and a contact number as she had a meeting with the owner of the pub the next day and would be discussing our complaints with them and would contact us afterwards. We still haven’t had that phone call.

Called in for coffee and lunch. Bar person said “Sorry mate they are cleaning the machine, there’s no coffee” After 3 different excuses my husband asked to see the manager. I watched the bar person go and speak to someone, who I couldn’t see, and he came back and said the machine is broken, there’s no coffee. Sorry about that mate.

What a fab pub! Had a lovely time, just such a shame about the lady claiming to be manager behind the bar! Customer service course required or maybe a little charisma just really let’s the place down! help us!

Got to be the best Pub in the area. Food is just perfect so is service and so is price. This place is a Gem.

We decided to visit this pub as it was central for all our party, Can not fault it for its exceptional service, we booked a table for 16 guests and although we had to make some last minute changes all our meals arrived within minutes a fantastic achievement by the kitchen and waiting staff. The food is good quality and the portions were more than adequate. There is a large car park to the side of the pub and plenty of space inside. Our only criticism would be the drinks were pricey even for draught soft drinks.

Lunched here with 3 other older friends on Wed.21st August. We were made welcome and the young lady serving us was polite and attentive. 3 of us enjoyed a delicious fish pie which was very tasty and packed with different fish. We complimented the chef.

Food unexceptional although portions very adequate. Pub grub best descibes the menu with good speedy service. Some meat courses were poor quality but well supported with carbohydrates. Beer selection was disappointing with all handpulls serving light beers some of which were of poor quality too. Entertainment was very lively and extremely noisy in the restaurant area. At least it wasn't an extortionate evening.

We chose this pub as we had heard good things, however, like so many pub food experiences in this country, it left a lot to be desired. Whilst not expecting 5* service, you would expect a pub like this to get the basics right. Sadly, like most ‘pub-grub’ establishments, they didn’t. There were hardly any people in when we arrived, a large party came in whilst we were there, but we got our orders in as soon as we could. We waited over 45 mins for Lasagne, Burgers and a Flatbread Kofta sandwich. The Lasagne arrived with a large hair in the salad - when pointed out the waitress did not even apologise, just took the plate away. The food was okay, nothing special, and then we waited a further 20 mins for a hot fudge cake. It was £55 in total, and I couldn’t even be bothered to say anything about the slow service as it seems increasingly regular when eating out and is now the ‘norm’. The number of times I have been offered money off or free desserts because of poor food/service outweighs the times I haven’t. This pub seems like most others in this regard and service is obviously not a priority for them.

Difficult to access. A lot of steps to negotiate but the steps did have a handrail which helped.The room was average. The service was good, The food was good

Went for a drink and had partners 16 year old son with us. We sat in beer garden out if way and the bar staff presumably she was the landlady came out to ID my partners son. We explained it was his son and her response was 'I dont care he needs to be out by 9.30. The language used was disgusting and when u pointed out it was 9.31 and we did not know the rules she was soon to change her tune. I told her that her attitude to it was disgusting.

Visited with my husband and sister in law for lunch. All staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our meal to the full. All our meals were cooked to perfection. Can’t praise this pub enough and will certainly be back in the very near future

Visited for a late tea on a Friday. I order chicken & mushroom pie which looked lovely but it was all crust and sauce. Found about 3 small pieces of chicken & 1 mushroom. Would rather pay a bit more and have at least some meat in pie. Disappointing!

Been before and it was very good so tried again. The land lady is so on point it’s unreal- she clearly strives for perfection and she is winning! The Farmers Blonde ale is delicious, and the food is just great and so fairly priced & comes beautifully presented and piping hot. Well done Sitwell Arms- you are Doing a great job!

We visited the Sit well a couple of weeks ago as the Whiston Brass Festival was on. There was a stage down the road which could be heard clearly and seen from most parts of the beer garden.

Went for a meal Thursday evening to celebrate my son I laws birthday. The table was reserved for us. Staff were helpful and the meal was good, it does take a while for the meal to arrive but there were 7 of us and the food is cooked to order. Nice restaurant, food and staff. Would recommend.

I went to the Sitwell Arms for a meal on a Sunday evening at 7.40pm (just after England won the cricket World Cup).

Great friendly staff food quality ok nothing special came to see live music great band not much of a view to see them but ok drinks expensive £15 for house wine rip off

Absolutely gorgeous food. Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Didn’t take long to come. Definitely quality over quantity

Katsu curry came plain and not appealing like there was no effort or passion in the kitchen, it looked like a dogs dinner aswell as jelly in the curry sauce! The day after the rear end was not in a healthy state! Not impressed...the food needs working on in my honesty :/

have just been to sitwell arms for a meal .my son booked it and was asked to pay 5£deposit for each person, and also pre order our meals due to there being 16 of us the meal was booked for 2pm and the last meal arrived at 3pm some of us had fininshed our meal befor the last 2 people had got there meal one of the meals missing its peas my daughter in law ask not to be but on the table right at the back ,but that was where we where put .it is very hot and stuffy in that corner this all soilt the day out was for my granddaughter birthday will not be visting again

We ordered two pie meals, one was mushroom it had three slithers of mushroom in, we complained to no avail, we then ordered two latte, goodness knows what arrived but it wasn't latte again complained, the waitress was rude and condescending.

First time we have visited here and it won’t be the last, the food was amazing really good quality and hot the young waitress was really good too

Enjoyed our first visit to the Sitwell Arms. Sunday lunch was excellent and far superior to the run of the mill roast Fayre served at most pubs. Huge home made Yorkshires, roasted veg and generous serving of red cabbage. Pleasant restaurant area. Bar staff and waiting staff helpful. Good WiFi for kids. Definitely will be back. Got the customer service, value for money and quality spot on.

Just been to sitwell arms for an impromptu lunch in the sun. We had an amazing pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw that was on the special board that was all handmade by the chef. It was amazing will definitely be going back again.

Was treated to a lovely lunch for mother's day. The food was well cooked and tasty. Will definitely be returning.

Teatime treat with my daughter, food was nice, piping hot just a shame they argued over a few lettuce leaves!!!! The menu clearly states scampi comes with a choice of chips, mashed potatoes or new potatoes and dressed leaf salad with either garden or mushy peas. When it arrived without any dressed leaf salad I was told I had to pay for that at the bar if I wanted dressed leaves !!! What a shame as the food was nice next time we will go next door to the Chequers!!!!

Lady who served us with tattoos and glasses was brilliant she really looked after us, and had a laugh. It was our first visit since renovations but won't be our last. Food was ok but not great, but service was 1st class
