Another lovely Sunday roast and service by Carol our waitress and the team***** Thank you so much, we will be back again soon for sure :0)

First off, parking was a nightmare - it took 20 minutes to secure a parking bay after running the gauntlet with other customers as the car park was full up, I had loaded cheese fries for a starter, the fries were limp and greasy, the cheese had solidified and when I picked up a frie it either broke up because of the sogginess or came up as a clump because the solidified cheese was holding the dish together, My main was burger and skin on fries, the burgers were bland, dry, tasteless, rubbery and the cheese was again solidified on top - skin on fries came out as plain, I have to admit that I ate everything as I was very hungry and didn't complain to the waiting staff as I didn't want to embarrass my guests who had the same opinions as myself, It's my first visit to a beefeater for a few years and as I recall the food was never as bad, I get that this isn't high end dining and that prices reflect this, however the quality was extremely poor and the chefs should hang their head's for sending out bland, uninviting plates or food, there was certainly no pride in the cooking/presentation of our dishes, I've had way better food in works canteens over the years and that McDonald's burgers are better than what I was presented with, Not worth the money and based on the whole experience we won't be returning

we arrived and it took us 15 mins to be seated, when seated, we ordered and food took another 45 mins, and wasn’t very impressed with the quality. then had someone seated near us who must have worked there, who got seated quicker, the staff stood and chatted with them whilst people were waiting and food arrived within 20 mins of them ordering.

Came in yesterday for a meal at lunchtime as a table of 4 and sat up the stairs. It was incredible busy yet our waitress was attentive and naturally friendly. She warned us there was a delay but the food still came out in good time. We have had Carol before and was as brilliant as always!

came here for an evening with senior male friends. Haing a good con versation bonding evening. Told to drink up as the bar closes at 10 pm . As per head office. If you cant afford to give a service . Get out of the industrie.

On joining family who were staying at the premier ,we asked bar staff for the offer of 2 cocktails for £12 the member of staff said she didn't know what we were taking about ,so we showed her the offer .we then asked for rest of our order she was again rude and abrupt, forgetting half the order, turning to us saying we must of asked her colleague, which we had nit done .Then, when we asked to order food, she slammed a chalkboard down on the bar, saying that due to high demand in the restaurant, there was no food in the bar .We had a 2 year old with us ,There was a table of 6 in the bar eating ,we asked if they could just do a small pizza for the 2 year old ,but the member of staff said they asked manager and he said no .So our family that were staying in the premier went to bed with nothing to eat and a 2 year old went home hungry .This place is a disgrace, and to top it off when leaving, there was dirty clothes all over the bar that was now empty and a half empty restaurant

Spending a few nights in business. Food was great and lots of choice. . Good value for money and excellent service. Would recommend.

Had a great meal at Sir Thomas Wyatt last night, great food and atmosphere, lovely staff from the greeter to our our fabulous waiter Ben who was very courteous and helpful nothing too much trouble for him , went above and beyond, thank you, we will be back

The staff are friendly and respectful, unfortunately the food was disappointing. I was recommended the surf and turf the steak was cold and stiff as if it was left to rest for too long…the prawns were rock hard and cold… sadly I wouldn’t recommend this branch as they seem short staff and are unable to keep the service seamless

Okay food, however, Ian P, has a major chip on his shoulder, and should not be front of house. Sadly, his attitude spoilt the experience, especially as we was in the day before and had a fantastic service around.

All the front of house staff were lovely, great service even on a very busy night my experience was made extra personable by Carol who was very friendly.

My partner and I came for dinner about 7pm on Sunday. The restaurant was full but our waitress, I think her name was Carol was still managing to smile despite being rushed off her feet. Food arrived promptly and was really nice! Well done to Carol and the staff, we will return.

We went out for dinner and it was reasonably busy Saturday. The service was quick, food was really good and Carol our waitress was very friendly. As our meal was coming to an end it started to get incredibly busy but she never stopped smiling and I would definitely return - asking for her again!

Came for dinner on Sunday evening and the restaurant was completely packed. Carol our waitress seemed to be managing a lot of tables and was incredibly busy but still provided us with excellent service. The food arrived promptly and was cooked well. We will definitely return.

Was here for the weekend with work. Nice staff especially Catherine and Jacqueline looking after our breakfasts. Would definitely visit here again.

We had a really nice lunch again at Sir Thomas Wyatt, Maidstone and we were served by the lovely Karen who is not only professional and friendly she recommends different foods and wines to try. This is one of our favourite Restaurants to go to. Easy to park and also a quick bus ride from Maidstone Town.

Joke. Booked table online at 10.10 for 10.30.Arrived and we're seated told there was a wait for cooked breakfast and would be back when our turn. Another customer told us their booking was 9.30 they had been waiting a hour and staff were still refusing to take their order. Asked waitress how long we would be and she said no idea. I said we were leaving and she advised she didn't blame me. Absolute joke if you can't cope don't take bookings.

A pretty average restaurant, understaffed and this makes the staff stressed. Breakfast was cold, and on a cold plate, service slow (due to understaffing). Evening meal was OK, but once again understaffed so service was a bit slow and the poor waiting staff were rushed off their feet.

Went this morning 2 ladies on do a amazing job very busy no toast muffins milk everything run out 2 people for serving looking after customers no fault of theres not enough staff every week we go th8s is the worst experience manager please sort more staff out 2 not enough running round bad attitude from customers because of wait not right

Very friendly staff that couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast arrived quickly and was nicer than a buffet. Nice way to spend the start of the weekend!

Booked here in the off chance as got a 40% of main meal wasn’t expecting the service we got our waitress carol was a lovely friendly lady and the others staff all seemed very happy and work ethnic together was very good food was fast and hot and plenty full

We booked this restaurant to hold a wake - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, from help with booking the event to providing boxes to take home uneaten sausage rolls! We’d booked for 60 people but more than that turned up. The staff were unfazed and were polite and courteous to everyone even though they were rushed off their feet getting drinks for everyone. The buffet food provided was delicious and laid out well.

We are a group of friends who meet every 6 weeks for lunch & a catchup. Our restaurant of choice is always this one as the location is central for all of us, the food is always good & we have the pleasure of being served by Karen. What can I say about Karen? Only ever good things. She is always friendly, greets us as friends & is always very attentive. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Karen & even when the restaurant is very busy she always makes time for each table she is responsible for. Never rushing us or making us feel rushed. Thank you Karen & see you soon.

Whilst staying overnight at the premier Inn, we had great food as usual from Beefeater, our server, Carol was very attentive. Thank you for making our evening..!!

Called in on the way back from Brands Hatch and as we have had good food and service at another Beefeater we decided to give this one a go.We were greeted by a very friendly staff member who asked if we had a reservation, on informing her we had not she looked at where to seat us then lead us to a lovely table.Catherine was the name of our server and she was very helpful, I was not feeling very hungry so she suggested I could have a started with some side orders which I did.When they came out with my husbands main meal they had been arranged on a large plate. We had a lovely meal and received excellent customer service from our server, would definitely visit again

Limited menu due to pending menu change however chose the Chicken Melt which was delicious. Think the new signature sauce made the difference. Very impressed with the individual table decorations which we commented on only to discover our waitress Karen was responsible for design and manufacture ( must be a potential market for the future)

Unexpectedly transferred to Thomas Watt due to closure of another Beefeater so they were very busy. However the service was very good both on arrival and during stay. Particularly Chloe who had unexpectedly been called it due to extra customers. Very friendly and helpful. Lovely food for breakfast and dinner, would definitely go again.

We visited as a group of 2 for Sunday dinner. Online booking was simple and we were promptly seated on arrival. A drinks order was taken in good time and the wait for food was minimal. Sunday roast was lovely and inexpensive. We were served by Carol who was really attentive and pleasant. We hadn’t been to the Sir Thomas Wyatt for a long while but will most likely make it a regular.

Would have rated 5, but sadly a lot of products were not available on the day. However, the lovely Karen who served us was very pragmatic, cheery and very helpful 😀. What we ate was lovely.

Food served with excellent service from Carol, our waitress. We had steak that was cooked as requested. Was very tasty. Breakfast the following morning was also well cooked and served by Carol again who was still happy and accommodating to our needs

We’ve been here a few times and every time Carol has been fantastic - to the point where we ask for her when we come in! Food is always great (subject to supply) but it’s nice to go somewhere you are always treated with a smile. 10/10 recommend!

We went last night, family of 3 (Mum, Dad and 17 year old). Service was super fast and friendly, our waitress, Katie, was very professional and efficient. The restaurant was quiet compared to previous visits, but the current situation with trying to get fuel has obviously affected custom. Also, there were a few items not available on the menu but it was only to be expected as it is the same wherever you go at the moment. The food was prepared and delivered very, very fresh and hot. It went down a treat ! Cannot fault the service here last night and the quality of the food was perfect. Thank you

Even though there were many meals unavailable on the menu this evening, Carol (our waitress) was completely apologetic for this; she was lovely!. All the staff were very friendly and it was a really cosy atmosphere. The food was great! Thank you.

Fantastic service as arrived early no problem was seated near the bar and served drinks straight away and within minutes was allocated a table thanks to the man welcoming guests. Our waitress Chloe was so lovely and friendly and helped us as the sauce that comes with the steak was malbec but wanted peppercorn was not a problem the t bone and surf and turf was cooked to perfection I was told the chefs on were Simon and Stuart so thank you to all these people who made it a wonderful evening

Came in for some lunch with my mother and daughter for some food and it was great. Really nice food and Catherine our waitress was amazing. She was so helpful and when my daughters dessert was unavailable, she went out of her way to make something special for her. Cant thank her enough.

We eat at the Sir Thomas Wyatt every week because the food is reliably good and the service we receive from Karen is first class. It’s been a tough year for everyone in the restaurant business, but despite that Karen remains cheerful, friendly and very kind to my elderly mum. Thank you, Karen and well done!

I came here with my family on Tuesday and was served by the lovely Carol. She made sure our drinks were always topped up, checked back up on us regularly to see if there was anything else we needed and explained the menu to my elderly grandparents too with so much patience. Could not have asked for a better server, she definitely topped off our evening as well as the lovely food. Will definitely be back again!

We came for a family breakfast and have to say over all the buffet/all you can eat breakfasts we have had, I have to say this was the best one yet.The food was cooked exactly as requested, the portions were well sized and plentiful and the option for the continental options as well as a good English breakfast was perfect.Our server Georgie was very pleasant and helpful and checked we had all we needed, even got us our top up of breakie upon requestThe manager was also on hand in the restaurant clearing and bringing food out and was kind welcoming and friendly Nice clean restaurant and friendly atmosphere

We had a lovely roast dinner with extras as roast potatoes, Yorkshires and gravy are unlimited. Our meat was perfect, brilliant service from the lovely Chloe. Very clean restaurant and really relaxed for 6pm on a Sunday.

I came back for a meal on Saturday as I have been previously impressed by Karen and she did not disappoint! Although the wines I like weren’t available, Karen kindly recommend one for me and it was spot on. Great service from Karen. I’ll be back if only to buy Karen a drink and thank her for the kindness and help that she gave us. Superstar !!!

We went there for Sunday lunch to celebrate two birthdays, there was 16 of us in total. Both the service and food were excellent and there were no complaints. Even though there was a lot of us, our meals were delivered quickly and they were attentive to us. I must compliment our waitress Carol, it can't have been easy for her dealing with so many of us at one time but coped excellently. If you want a lovely Sunday with family or friends, i can't recommend this restaurant enough

Not sure what to expect as had a bad experience pre lockdown, but very pleasantly surprised. Wait staff (Leane) and manager Dan served swiftly and created a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.

I visited the restaurant on Sunday with my husband and toddler, we were seated by Carol who was lovely and polite then looked after for the duration of our stay by Laura. I have visited numerous times before but never felt the need to write a review until now. Laura was so attentive and great with my toddler, I had the beef roast dinner which was lovely and my toddler had the same, the portion size for her was perfect. Laura was absolutely fantastic and I will be visiting on a Sunday again.

Visited yesterday as wanted a cooked breakfast,cup of tea etc.We were actually en route to a funeral and had travelled a fair distance,hence needed refreshments.Stood at the entrance to be greeted by an extremely miserable man,who fired several questions,as in " are you staying at the Premier inn""What are you here for"When we replied,we got led to a table with 3 chairs,there were 4 of us, with menus on the table.It was reluctantly explained that it was a buffet,upon studying the menu,it had a set price for continental,or cooked breakfastNo instruction My son went to look,barely any food out for continentalNo cooked food out at allNo staff aroundA lady eventually ,after about 15 mins,came over to ask if we wanted a cooked breakfastBy this point the answer was noWe then left Will not be returning!Appalling customer care,made to feel extremely unwelcome,I can only assume that they only want custom from the hotel next door!

Nice to get back to some normality. Prior to the pandemic and lockdowns, used to use this Beefeater on a monthly basis. Just checking diary, November 2019 was our last visit prior to caronavirus kicking off.Missed our visits, so dipped toes back in water, June this year (2021). Was very impressed with the procedures Beefeater had put in place. A bit weird seeing staff in masks, and having to put masks on and following a strict route, going to the loo. But the food was good, and it was nice to be out and about again.July saw us back again, and once again, excellent food, and a very attentive staff.Last visit was yesterday (15th August). All restrictions seem to have been lifted, no masks, no set routes etc. Service a bit erratic, but this was due to a staff member not turning in. Leaving just the manager and one waitress coping with quite a busy restaurant, and they coped well.Food once again was excellent, and it was nice to see it quite busy @ 18:00 on an early Sunday evening, also good @ 20:00, when we left, seeing people turning up for the evening session. Normality, slowly returning, and nice to see.

A little disappointed that after various problems with my father's meal (cold and unable to poach an egg) that he was offered something else 5 minutes before the rest of us were finshed so couldn't have eaten together as planned.There were no lamb chops for the mixed grill and was offered more sausages (not a fair trade off) but would allow an extra small steak so it would be like for like or value.Beer and food requested had run out.

Visited on a Tuesday evening early , we were one of the first there. Ordered our food and another drink which took ages to come out and then had to remind them. The starter was nice foodwise. I ordered the Doom pie and because there wasnt enough gravy the lady said she would bring out more gravy but forgot so it was too dry so i left the rest. The knifes arent sharp at all as i couldnt even cut the broccoli . It hasnt put me off going back but not a great evening out, maybe need more staff.

Took my 2 children for Sunday roast, so pleased I did, had the best roast ever. The staff kimberley, Katie and manager Dan, absolutely faultless. The service of high standards, thank you.

Really enjoyable meal at the Sir Thomas Wyatt this evening. The food was excellent and the service from Catherine our waitress was first class. It was our first evening meal out since the lockdown and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We booked Sunday dinner here purely because we fancied a roast, however on arrival at 5.30 we were told there were no roasts avaible...again! Second time there this has occurred, therefore won't be booking again for a Sunday roast. The meal we did have was very nice however, just not what we wanted. The conservatory we were seated in was too cold and uncomfortable, even with the air con turned down. If you book, ask for a table in the main restaurant area, it's more confortable.

We had a lovely meal here tonight a 12 oz fillet steak it was fabulous and the service was exceptional our server was called Carol

This evening, my family and I visited this beefeater to celebrate fathers day. Initially, we were sat in a section of the restaurant and served by a waiter who was very rude and left our table halfway through the drinks order to talk to someone he knew. We approached management about this and the way they dealt with the situation was outstanding. They were very quick to move us to a new section with a new waitress and gave our first round of drinks to us for free. After this, the service from Carol was polite and friendly all evening with management constantly checking in to make sure our experience was up to standard. Thank you very much to the management and Carol for turning this into a great experience.

We had stayed in the Premier Inn next door, and had taken the 'Meal Deal' option - two courses and a drink, and breakfast the morning after for £24.99 each. Whilst the food was generally good, and the value for money was also good, the service at breakfast was a little bit slow. We waited 30+ minutes for toast and honey, and never received!

We had a lovely meal here, the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Carol who went above and beyond for us.

Had a lovely meal the other night and was served by the phenomenal Karen. She makes the whole experience so much better. Food was lovely and the service even better. Make sure when you book that you request Karen to serve you, I definitely will for future bookings.

Visited here today with my boyfriend was really excited to go out for dinner for the first time in a long time. Arrived at 18:45 and was sat down straight away. service was slow our order didn’t get taken for a very long time. The main issue was our waitress called ‘Paula F’ we first placed our order with her and every time I’ve gone to a beefeater I’ve always had sausages and chips so didn’t think this would be an issue to order she then rolled her eyes at me and raised her eyebrows whilst writing the order down this straight away put me in a bad mood and felt like I was being judged. She was very blunt and rude with us and didn’t feel happy being here at all I felt intimidated and uncomfortable to even ask for gravy when my food arrived so I didn’t ask and had to eat it dry so I didn’t even eat much of my food. When the salt and ketchup and cutlery arrived her attitude was worse she just handed the tray and said ‘take the plate’ when I just grabbed the ketchup. She then said in the most sarcastic way ‘do you not want the cutlery’ and stood there still holding the tray. Really unhappy and disappointed by the way we was treated tonight and I will not be returning and will be sure to tell my family and friends of my experience I’ve had tonight as this is not the way customers in your care should be treated. I go out for dinner on a rare occasion and expected to be treated well and to be spoken to nicely I don’t go out for dinner to be made to feel uncomfortable the whole night we left as soon as food was done as wanted to leave as soon as possible as we felt we wasn’t wanted there. Really has ruined my entire night and was a waste of money. Shouldn’t be made to feel this way especially scared and intimidated to even ask for gravy.

So looking forward to Sunday lunch with friends before they move to Derbyshire.First restaurant visit since lockdown.The Sunday roast looked very appealing on the menu. Crispy roast potatoes medium cooked roast beef. Yum!What I received was beef that was still bleeding, one half of the slice was bloody beef the other side thick white fat.I complained and my meal was replaced, the fresh beef was the best I'd had in a long while. Tried to cut into the potatoes to find they were uncooked. Complained and the manager gave me 4 replacement potatoes also uncooked. I asked our friends sharing the meal to try them and their view, yes hard in the middle and uncooked.I was not charged for this inedible meal and given a free dessert mind you I was still hungry.The experience spoil ours and our friends last meal together, as it will some time before we can meet again.So totally disappointed in this restaurant.

Phoned to see if they could fit us in from the car park of another establishment who had been unable to fulfil our booking on arrival due to a power issue. A lovely man said we could come straight away which was fab as was a family meal out for our sons birthday. Had a really lovely meal, staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive and everywhere felt very covid secure - most importantly a very happy teenager and much relieved parents!! Thank you!!

First trip out after lockdown .Took the Grandchildren out for breakfast .We were greeted by a really pleasant man who took us to our table and explained the one way system in the restaurant .The lady who served us was friendly and took her time to listen to the children and what they wanted .The food was really nice and plenty of it .We all felt safe with all there covid measures

Went for late lunch/early dinner. Fabulous food, 1st class service by Dan. Highly recommend the mix grill! Charlotte/Manageress and Paula who has served us before even came over to say hello which made us feel very welcome & a nice personal touch that they remembered us. Still very clean within restaurant/toilets and organised. Will keep coming back whilst the service is this good.

We arrived for 12.30am booking and were greeted warmly and seated as requested at a round table which was excellent for conversation with our friends. Our waitress Karen was warm and friendly. Although we had been regulars, we had not dined here since the beginning of Covid 19, yet she remembered both our individual drinks and menu preferences, which was truly remarkable since many months had passed since our last visit. Our drinks arrived promptly and our choices from the Daytime Menu followed . There were no complaints and our meal choices were well cooked, tasty and good value for money.

Came for a meal with friends on Sunday and it was all very well organised and the food was lovely. Our waitress Laura was very helpful and accomodating towards our 'pickiness'.

I had a lovely meal here last night. I wanted to say how impressed with our waitress Karen. She was fantastic and made us feel very welcomed, she was experienced, knowledgeable and made the experience so much better with her friendly yet still professional manner. Went for lunch last Sunday. Social distancing observed. Our waitress Carol H was very efficient and helpful. Made us feel quite at home.David V
