Sit down meal is a dream here. Food piping hot and fresh. Waitress extremely polite, good size portions, fast service and tasty food.

Extremely poor service and impolite attitude of the lady serving customers. She asked me to leave soon after I finished the soup noodle and I was still drinking the glass of water. She wanted a new customer to take over my table where there were a number of tables without guests. She forced me to pay immediately. Last night the restaurant was not full at the dinner time.

My favourite restaurant. All food is absolutely delicious and at good prices. I always feel welcomed and well looked after🥰

We live quite far, we tried most chinese around cowley road and came to this one via deliveroo....ordered at least 10 more times since!! Always great proper chinese food made for chinese people! Highly recommend the kung po chicken with rice! Its not the same as western kung po sauce! 🕺enjoy!

Very good Cantonese and mainland Chinese restaurant. Firstly it's cash only, there's a fee free cashpoint in the coop local opposite. Service is brisk and friendly, the menu does have pictures for most things but you can ask the staff about any dishes. The garlic and chilli chicken was very good, the size of the chicken was more like taiwanese popcorn Chicken which is not a bad thing. The spicy aubergine on rice was good, it was more mainland style rather than Cantonese style which uses salted fish, rather than szechuan sauce. The beef ho fun was very good, not greasy, beef was tender and soft. The szechuan spicy noodles was good, the beef was very tender, like sliced beef brisket. Prices are cheap and reasonable, especially for Oxford, good portions are decent. Recommended.

Nice small business in Cowley Road. We normally order online but happened we preferred eating out. We were pleased to see it was dog friendly. It was very clean and cozy. The staff were lovely to us and the doggo! The food, especially the aubergine tofu, was v yum!

Dry chips, cold rice that didn't even taste like egg fried rice, lamb which was just like shredded animal fat absolutely disgusting, and the chicken should be labeled a little better on menu as it states sweet and sour chicken balls we expected battered balls separate sauce but no the tiniest bits of chicken with majority onion and pineapple. First and last order

Sir Sun Wok is the best Chinese in oxford. Food is always tasty, hot and good sizes. Always consistent. I do recommend to friends and family.

Had tofu and aubergine stir fry and veg ho fun. Quite disappointed, one of the greasiest meals I've ever had and there was a pool of oil left in my bowl when I'd finished.

According to the rubbish innovation left, I am from Oxford, and the Chinese food is unpalatable. The roast duck is soaked in a lot of sauce and is not crispy and dead. The fish boiled in salt water is fried in a pile of rubbish fish. It has no fish taste and no bite at all. I know that my food is tight, but it’s so juicy, not spicy, not numb, and I’ll tell you at a glance that I don’t know a word about cooking, right?

Delicious and authentic Chinese food cooked by the restaurant owners. Highly recommended for interesting and unusual dishes, plus some of the classic Chinese dishes.

I’ve ordered from Sir Sun’s Wok a few times now and I’ve been very pleased each time. The portions are very generous, there is a wide range of vegetarian-friendly dishes, and the flavours are excellent. Also quite budget-friendly, and I’ve always received complementary crackers on the side. You can tell they care about their business and their customers :)

We booked this place for four people on the 8th July. We have eaten here before, and the food was fantastic once again. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the efficientcie for which our food was served was amazing. They are able to cater for dairy, egg, and gluten free diets as well. The food is fresh, delicious, and very colourful!. Thank you for an amazing evening!

Nice Chinese food and fair price.

1 of our 3 dishes was fine (roast duck), the other 3 totally disappointing, bland and overly greasy. I was looking forward to Sichuanese specials of ma po tofu and spicy aubergines, but the dishes we got were almost bland and had zero Sichuanese pepper in them. The aubergines were coated in thick starch, and both dishes were filled with other veg (sliced carrot, mushroom, pepper), which I wasn't expecting (never had it in these dishes in other restaurants and never seen in recipes). These additions and the bland flavouring resulted in poor versions of these Sichuanese classics. Disappointing. I was looking forward to that famous Sichuanese pepper zing and chilli heat. I even asked for it specifically, but didn't get it. I probably won't order here again.

Unfortunately, apart from the food I did not have a very good experience at this restaurant. While I was sat eating, I saw a Deliveroo rider come in and ask to use the toilet, while he waited for his order to be ready. The staff refused to let him use the toilet because he wasn’t a customer there. I found that extremely rude and disrespectful with the rider, as he is also a human being and has these types of needs while picking up orders and waiting outside.

I placed an order over the phone and when I arrived to collect the staff treated me badly because I entered the restaurant soaking wet and entered the restaurant, I think you could improve the service because I was embarrassed when she asked me to wait outside

Amazing dim sum and duck pancakes! Great service and value for money

Food is in general good and value for money, but if you are looking for a place to dine in and enjoy the food, you will get disappointed. Deliveroo and just eat raiders come in and out all the time and stand just a step away from tables, complaining if the food is not ready yet.

Tasteless and rough food. Very wired taste for the vegetables. The fish was coated with thick starch and poor amount of food. Ordered fried chicken with chilli, the fish was full of chilli and around 6 pieces tiny chicken wings. Avoid this restaurant.

I am a regular orderer from here and thought I’d order something different …beef curry and mushrooms..one word WOW !! Absolutely stunning . Also the crispy pork slices ..yummy yummy yummy !!! Absolutely love this restaurant and will keep on ordering !!

We ordered through Deliveroo and the food still got here absolutely piping hot, and delicious. We ordered vegetarian and meat dishes and a couple different soups. Nothing was too greasy, the rice was good texture, so many choices are on the menu, and we would definitely order here again.

Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in Oxford. It has very big menu offering dishes of northern China. Some of the lamb dishes they offer is peculiar to N China. It is quite clean and it’s a family run restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. We once ordered 200 gyoza and they prepared it methodically. Thumbs up

We’ve enjoyed many meals from Sir Sun before but the schezuan noodle soup with beef was totally bland and watery. Such a disappointment. Chilli and garlic spare ribs were delicious though.

Really great food! Fresh, hot and delicious. Best Chinese food I’ve had. Not too greasy, and plenty of veggie options for myself 😊. The whole family was very happy with their meals. We live next door and will definitely be eating from here again. Staff are super friendly too!

If you enjoy really good Chinese food do not use this restaurant it is for people who don’t understand food. I ordered a quarter duck, came pre ~ shredded into the tiniest piece so the duck is dry as f and The skin is soggy from the steam whilst in the container, why would any chef shred duck like this, the duck sauce is overly sweet and thick. Ordered chicken and mushroom soup got chicken and mushroom in some gravy. I repeated my order many times. I also ordered king prawn chow main, really standard nothing great but better that the other stuff. Dissatisfied feelings sick will never order again a waste of money. I can definitely do a better job at home.

My boyfriend and I discovered this place whilst walking around. It was such a gem! Prices are alright, portions are generous, food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely be going back again!

Always on the look out for new decent restaurants, we thought we'd give this place a try. Maybe we ordered badly, but food was late, but Also bland and distinctly average -eg The vegetable rice had no apparent veggies in. Disappointing overall

I ordered take out and it was great! The veggie fried rice was my favorite - amazing! The orange chicken was okay, I probably would not order it again. I will try something else next time.

Had to wait over an hour for food when called the restaurant they didn’t care and lied to me said driver was 5 mins away but had to wait another 30 mins till arrived when food finally came it was cold and and disgusting no flavour to the point had to throw it in the bin would recommend everyone to save your money and go somewhere different

My food was freezing once arrived. Was told it would be ten mins on phone and took 30 mins extra. So in total an hour and half. Rude delivery driver.

Came for a later dinner on a sunday. Lady at the front was very welcoming and gave me 2 menus, the takeaway menu which has all of the standard uk dishes + some traditional chinese dishes and she also gave me a proper a la carte kind of menu which had photos etc. The a la carte menu had loads of traditional chinese food so it was nice to have the choice. I opted for the beef chow fun which was really tasty and came quickly. £10 with a drink so definitely cant complain

noodle dishes had very little meat. szechuan chicken was bascially a sweet and sour, not at all spicy.

Today another delicious meal, served with a smile and curtesy. It’s always welcoming and the food deserves all 5 stars. It has become one our family favourite restaurant. If you look for Chinese food made freshly with love, this is the place to go. We love it! Thank you ! Angela

Crispy duck NOT crispy, part of order missing, rude staff when I phoned to point this out and spare ribs that were just bland nuggets of pork fat. Never seen anything like it. First and last time I use this gaff. I’ll be surprised if they last as a business - Oxford had WAY better! Awful food, awful customer service.

My food has not arrived yet, so I am not very impressed with your service. I ordered some food last Friday and I waited patiently and today I am still waiting. Does it really take more than hour to cook and deliver the food? I could have done the cooking myself on this time. A very hungry and disappointed customer.

Very good value for money. Nothing spectacular but not bad. When all food displays and the daily reader board are in Chinese, that’s a good omen. Clients also predominantly Asian.

Some really tasty dim sum delivered on Just Eat. I had the Char Siu Buns (3) (pork filled bao buns), Chinese Milk Bun (4) (bao buns filled with a sweet pudding-like paste), Shanghai Dumplings (4) (pork dumplings) and egg fried rice. The dim sum was really tasty. It came with two soy sauce and prawn crackers. I did find the egg fried rice a little greasy though. Really good!

Order hasn’t arrived, website says delivered but I have not received the food. Tried to call the restaurant more than once to find out where the delivery driver is but am just told it’s on its way.

Food was fantastic! The portions felt small though for the price, wish they would be maybe a bit more generous with how much they put in the boxes.

Having ordered 2 hours in advance the food arrived 35 minutes late! I called them twice and on both occassions I was told it was on its way - which was clearly not true because the restaurant is about 10 mins drive away. I think this is as much the restaurants fault as the fault of Just Eat - don't endorse restaurants that take early booking and deliver so late.

The food was great! However the delivery was 30 mins late. The app showed delivery status as “enjoy food” 4 mins after estimated delivery time even though the food hasn’t arrived. The status and the estimated delivery time didn’t change until I submitted a query 15 mins afterwards. The app needs to improve the status update scheme. There must also be an easier way to chat with Just Eat customer help desk.

排骨汤前的肥肉，脂肪，全漂在汤上面。肉的质量很不好。不得不把脂肪挑走，否则真的吃不下去。而且送到时候汤都溢出来了。why the rib soup is full of fat? It doesn’t look nice and taste nice, very oily. It spills out when arrived

The restaurant looks lovely, clean, bright and welcoming, but we've only been to collect takeaway. It's our new favourite Chinese, with not too much msg, and well flavoured food. Some lovely veggie dishes, especially involving aubergines, plus some more authentic sounding things involving tripe that I'm not brave enough to try!
