Simply Delicious in Suffolk Coastal

I’d have done 5 stars but the baked beans were from a can - they’re sooooo easy to make in the slow cooker! And potato would be better if not simply microwaved. That said it has seating and the drink selection seems very good. The healthiest place to eat in Leiston that’s for sure!! I’d recommend trying it.

We were looking for coffee and a snack and loved this quirky cafe and shop. The owner was welcoming, the environment eclectic and the food and coffee superb. I had a mushroom puff and it was so delicious. This would be a regular lunch stop for me if I were local. I also made a purchase in the shop (not overpriced).

We stopped here for a coffee on the way to the Long Shop museum, it was a fabulous find, wholesome whole foods on the menu and in the shop. Quirky seating. We will be returning for lunch. Excellent.

First rate, friendly and good quality. If I lived here it would be my favourite hangout. Definitely a real community experience

Gagging for a coffee and cake we stumbled across this little gem….coffee was hot and flavoursome cake was tasty and homemade and the owner was very friendly. Thoroughly recommend this cafe will be returning

Gracie catered my daughter's Wedding this weekend. She was so kind and patient. She and her staff were professional and friendly and made sure our day ran smoothly. The food was Outstanding and all our guests were so impressed. So happy to have found this marvellous caterer.

I love this place. Have been going for years. Love the savoury slice and the cakes. If you love home made healthy food this is for you.

three of us called in for morning tea and were tempted to have toasted tea cake and cheese scone as well. Proper builders tea and tasty food, although both toaster and microwave failed in the middle of our prep. Nevertheless this is an unusual cafe, space is limited but service was humorous and friendly. We enjoyed it.

We nearly walked past Simply Delicious and just stopped there by coincidence. However, it was well worth it; delicious hot chocolate and lemon cake. Lots of healthy options available too, although we studiously avoided them! Friendly and cosy atmosphere, so give it a try if you are in Leiston.

Whether you fancy lunch or a coffee break SD is worth a visit. Delicious home made vegetarian food served in cosey surroundings. There's usually a gluten free home made cake on offer if you fancy something with you coffee (other cakes available too) and dairy free coffees aswell. My only caution is service can take a while during lunch periods so you may want to get there early if you're on a tight schedule! Or miss the rush and go late......

My friends and I enjoyed a quiet luncheon at this appealing little cafe within the Leiston high street. Very natural cuisine with a 'folk ish' ambiance.

My favourite is the vegi lasagne with side salad. Lovely herbal teas. Peaceful place to have brunch. Located next to local artists, Chris Newson and Katie's Pottery Studio. Well worth a visit.

Tengo un desayuno vegetariano café todo el día y cada semana (7 libras. 95) El café está bien, personalmente me gustaría fuente otro proveedor, pero el desayuno es excelente, especialmente la judías y patatas fritas porción biona. El servicio es excelente, amable y eficiente. Un montón de asientos, incluyendo sillas cómodas para sumergirse, y también una selección de artículos de compra, kingfisher dientes por ejemplo. Wi fi incluido, y un gran baño con relación al pijo y toallas individuales para secar sus manos. . Agradable simplemente deliciosa. . .

So nice as a vegetarian to have choice. The savoury slice was superb and the accompanying salads delicious and no green! Would even recommend to carnivores.

Tuvimos un paseo bastante largo de Aldeburgh a Leiston y rastreé las a las diferentes calles de Leiston un par de veces antes de aventurarnos en este café de enano. Teníamos mochilas, botas y otros equipo pero se hizo la señora encantadora detrás del mostrador (que debe de haber visto lo cansado que estaban como ella se ofreció a venir y servirnos!) La comida es fresca, deliciosa y tan tan razonable. Tuve sopa del día que estaba riquísimo y con un enorme pan no estaba mal. Té y café eran de buena calidad y se sirve muy bien en la zona de asientos diminuta. Yo no pude resistir la tarta Mediterránea de especias... y no me decepcionó.

Una pequeña cafetería encantadora, fuimos para el té y tarta y no me decepcionó. Sin duda recomendaría el chocolate blanco caliente, estaba deliciosa, y en realidad sabor chocolate blanco fundido a diferencia Costa y su agua blanca decepcionante chocolate caliente. La selección de pasteles era increíble, no sé qué escoger pero fuimos para un bollo con crema y estaba delicioso.

Se llama aquí para el almuerzo después de leer las buenas críticas y la extensa carta de ensaladas en el sitio web. Nos sorprendió que nos recibió una no especialmente señora que nos informó de que el sitio web era de los anteriores dueños y ella no que menú. Ella me dijo que se tendría que estar enfermo (TMI) y de todo lo que había en oferta ensalada en cuanto a era una semilla/lentejas al horno (que parecía v seca) con un poco de iceberg, tomate y, creo, pepino.

Such a shame that what use to be a very regular morning breakfast stop now feels unwelcoming. It has a changed ownership but does lack something now, have tried a few times but sorry you need to look at how you present yourselves.

I am not vegan or vegetarian, and also I am not 'fussed' about whether food is organic or not, This delightful tea-room (or café) caters for those who do care about these food matters. However, it provides a delightful ambience for sitting and passing the time of day whilst enjoying excellently 'brewed' coffee or delicious organicbeetroot juice, which I drank. Leiston might be a bit off the 'beaten track', but it is worth visiting even if only to spend time in this lovely eatery.PS I bought some locally-sourced smoked haddock, which was FIRST CLASS!

Soaked from cycle ride we were made most welcome. Best hot choc and gluten free cakes and savoury lunch items I've ever seen! Not the usual cheese salad!We went back a secound time and my son who can't eat dairy had a huge piece of dairy free chocolate cake! Reasonably priced considering home made top recipes and environmentally friendly place.

Lovley food in a tiny space! Cosy and friendly. Good value for money. Handy if you visit the museum in Leiston.

What a nice little place. Been in a couple of times of late when staying in our van and found it very welcoming. Not really had anything to eat but had a tea and coffee. The food on offer does look very nice though. Interesting little place with shelves full of health supplements etc which makes it a bit different. Staff have been very friendly and get to meet some interesting local characters.

I grew up in Leiston in the late1960s and left in 1979 when I started work. I still have connections with the area, but only recently have had cause to eat in the town. I've been here twice now for lunch. The place illustrates well that if you offer excellent food, super coffee and free wifi, in a comfortable, up-beat environment, you will do well, even in a town that doesn't rate itself highly enough.Leiston has a rich industrial heritage (see The Long Shop Musem), a beach a mile away and if you want crowds, Aldeburgh is just three miles down the road. But for me, the place to be is Simply Delicious!

It is great place for lunch. Small menu, fresh ingredients and lovely service. The decor is pretty good too. If only it opened on Sundys in the summer. Tourists do ask for snack destinations when they are visiting the Long Shop museum and not everyone wants a pub.

I have always received excellent service every time that I have visited this little deli/café.The owner and all her staff are so friendly and always pop outside to say hello to my dog!The mushroom quiche and salad was really tasty with home made coleslaw. As a strict veggie the owner was happy to check that I was able to have the cheese and even phoned the manufacturer to be sure. Thank you. Julie and Bob the dog

We visited Paphos market in the Old Town on a Saturday morning and had a brilliant morning. A welcome sit down with a coffee and a free piece of apple cake at the cafe "simply Delicious" ( next door to Laona Restaurant) was excellent

Often visit this deli/cafe when in the area. Food lovely and quality good, owner very pleasant. Shop/cafe a little congested but still pleasant experience.

Located within this town on the Suffolk coast, is this small deli which by its nature is slightly out of place - as it is too good for the town itself. However, the young man who owns and runs it is excellent and will provide you with professional, chilled out service. The salads, food, coffees and teas were first class and sooo fresh.It is very small and only has 10 covers on informal old fashioned tables and chairs, however go in with the attitude that you may be sharing a table with others and you'll be ok.The deli sells all sorts of goodies and I saw some lovely ham off the bone being carved.The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity.Areas for improvement may be:The toilet area needs a good scrub but I have no issues with the cleanliness of the deli itself - why are there razors on the shelf !The old chairs in the deli need replacing as one nearly broke on a guest.The music needs to be slightly louded in the background to create some more atmosphere as table are a bit close together.Worth a try.

The cakes are homemade with love you can tell. The salads are well made with fresh ingredients,The bread we always try and buy some extra to take home. The tea is hot . AHHHH how I wish I could make poached eggs like that.

I often take a mix of salads to go - with Simply Delicious I know everything will be just great and I'm open to all surprises :) The food is healthy, delicious - and it's the only place around where you have that balanced so well.

Sublime, homecooked food made with love and the best decaf coffee in the whole world. Every mouthful is mouthwatering, the desserts really original. Very warm welcome and child friendly. "Yum yum give me some" in the immortal words of The Fatback Band!
