Simply Classic Cafe Bistro in Burnley

What an unusual discovery? Seemed a strange destination but proved a wonderful find! A tempting and varied menu allowing plenty of healthy choices as well some calorific treats. All delicious and inexpensive. Staff were all friendly and attentive . Food was served hot and nicely presented in an unhurried environment. It’s more of a cafe than restaurant but relaxing place to meet friends and enjoy their home cooking.

This cafe is a hidden gem..meals always delicious,been for breakfast and lunch and food is amazing.Friendly staff and very reasonably priced..love it

Nice little Bistro with very good menu. I had the steak sandwich which was beautifully presented and promptly served but the steak was very gristly. This was very disappointing. This cafe s definitely worth a try despite its odd location on an industrial estate. I would go again but not order the steak sandwich!

Went this evening (14th jan) with my son to try out the evening Chinese banquet. Can honestly say it was up there with some of the nicest and tastiest food I’ve had. Prawns on sesame toast with seaweed, spare rib and one of the biggest spring rolls I’ve ever had. Then chicken and sweet corn soup with prawn crackers. 4 mains of , sweet and sour chicken, pork in black bean sauce, king prawn curry and crispy chilli beef with egg fried rice and soft noodles where all cooked to perfection. Without doubt the best value for money I’ve had. Congrats to all concerned and looking forward to the next special evening.

This place is almost too good to be true. The food is incredible, everything is homemade and presented beautifully. The staff are welcoming and the bistro has a lovely relaxed vibe. My self and my partner both had the ham croquettes for starter which were very tasty and a very generous portion. My partner had the fish and chips which he said was cooked perfectly. I had the fillet steak with Bernaise sauce. I can honestly say its the best quality steak I've had all year and the triple cooked chips were delicious. We finished with the cookie dough and rice pudding arrancini. 10/10 for taste, presentation and service! Thankyou for a lovely evening!

Went to the cafe bistro in padiham tonight .The service was great everyone friendly.The food was spot on really good. All fresh ingrediants used couldnt fault any of the courses they were all delish.i would highly recommend a visit you will not be dissapointed.

warm and friendly staff, excellent choice of menu. they serve a hot wok, where you can choose the different ingredients. the have a specials board each day with plenty of choice. they cater for everyones diet..highly recommend

I organise a luncheon club and we came here for our christmas outing on the 13th December.We had to pre order which can be a little annoying.However once here we found the food delicious,the service friendly and efficient and the surroundings convivial.The price for a 3 course lunch was extremely competitive and we were delighted to be told that tea or coffee and a mince pie was included.Well done.We will definitely go there again.

Came for a baby shower her and it was lovely the afternoon tea was amazing all the little sandwiches and cakes where all hand made and tastes amazing will definitely visit again

Decided to meet my husband on his lunch from work and chose here because of the good things we've heard. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food delicious. My only downside was it was cold inside and had to eat with my coat on and still wasn't warm. Would not put us of coming again though

Been to this establishment weekly for over two years Cannot fault the cleanliness, the lovely staff, and the food. If you choose a meal and you wish to change an ingredient, omit an item or change something nothing is too much trouble. Great choice of food and drinks and is licensed. Children and babies welcome. Lots of work people go in for sandwiches, soups, drinks and take away of which there is lots and lots of choice. Level access at the side. Parking is limited but there is plenty of on road parking just at the side of the Bistro. I have never failed to park easily. The staff are efficient, courteous and friendly. 10 out of 10 for all aspects of this Bistro. Well done all of you.

Visited with family for lunch. Very polite and friendly staff and tasty food. Overall a very pleasant culinary experience! Definitely worth a second visit.

Today we had our annual Christmas meal with 24 members and their guide dogs. We chose the Christmas menu,which was great. The choices were excellent for all who attended. The cost £18.95 for a three course meal. Really good value. The starters were great, from prawn cocktail,garlic mushrooms,sweet potat and smoked bacon soup which was very tasty. There was plenty of vegetables and the staff kept coming out to see if we wanted more. The staff are really very kind and helpful. The mains came from roast turkey salmon which was delicious,also a veggi option. Desserts came,and teas and coffees. All in all a lovely afternoon with our branch members food great. Will definitely be returning.

I regularly call in to Simply Classic for my lunch and it’s always great food - from a sandwich to their very tasty chicken goujons the food is always very fresh. The staff are so friendly and welcoming but not in a forced, uncomfortable way - they just want you to feel valued and enjoy your food. Takeaway or eat in is available, both equally yummy!

Mis abuelos me encanta aquí, lo visitan regularmente a menudo sobre una base semanal (viernes de la mayoría, cuando el pescado y patatas fritas). Acabo presentó una crítica me di cuenta de que mi crítica está basada en su restaurante con base en Burnley mecánica. Sin embargo, también tienen restaurantes en Prairie y en el Padiham en Burnley. Si no había facturado, tripadvisor nunca hubiera sabido. Un pequeño lugar de almuerzo. El personal era muy amable y servicial. El café es luminoso, limpio y luminoso. Tuve un minuto de carne, cebolla y champiñones sándwich que era deliciosa, y un tiempo agradable almuerzo de tamaño. Realmente no necesitaba las patatas fritas de camote, pero me alegro de haberlo hecho porque eran muy buenas!

We go here regularly for breakfast and this is by far our favourite place. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The food is also excellent and really reasonably priced. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Yo creo que una o dos personas están recibiendo confundido aquí. Este lugar no está cerca del centro de Burnley. Está en el parque empresarial de simonstone. Ahora que era espectacular, absolutamente lleno de carne. Uno de nuestro grupo siempre se pone el queso y cebolla tarta casera (aburrido, lo sé), pero él dice que es el mejor que he probado. Por dentro es un poco como una gran cafetería abierta. Si puedes tolerar que este lugar bien merece una visita. Recomendado.

Simplemente Clásica es realmente merece una visita. No dejes que es en un parque de negocios. El ambiente es tan lejos de la de un parque empresarial de cantina. Es simplemente (perdón el juego de palabras) Un encantador bistro. Las instalaciones son estupendas, la comida...

Went for lunch with a friend. First visit. Felt like a works canteen. Staff were lovely but didn't know one glass of wine from another and said so when ordering. They were actually the best thing about it though and that they left you alone whilst eating. Not sure if that's a positive or not as the food was average to say the least. Jacket potato with tuna mayo. Not much to go wrong except it was cold. My friend had an omelette which looked nice but was also Luke warm. Complaining would have spoilt a nice afternoon with a friend. They shut at 4pm and were cleaning around us at 3.30 which was uncomfortable. All in all not sure id go back in a hurry.

Met here for a business meeting, place was bustling and so good to see places busy. Staff always friendly and the special burger was beautiful. Can not recommend this place enough!

We had family visit in May and wondered where to go for lunch. There isn't much choice in the town centre of Burnley and we had heard of this place from friends. It took a bit of parking as it is in the town centre of Burnley but when we arrived we were greeted at the door and seated at a table in the 'Front Room'. What an amazing place, we were sat in the window, told about the menus and where to order. We were all surprised that we were able to get a table as the place was packed, the staff seemed to manage the tables extremely well especially as we turned up with little ones needing 2 high chairs.Its a bit of a walk to order food and remember everything but when you take into account the price and it being a bistro you can forgive that. The family were impressed with the menu and the specials looked incredible. We ordered a wide range of dishes, I tried a Tiger Prawn Hot Wok which was so so good.The kids were really well looked after with menus that you could colour in, even mini pencils, colouring books and a kids corner. My daughter could warm milk in the bottle warmer and food in the microwave if she wanted. Michelle behind the bar was extremely helpful and obviously a child lover.As for the food well, my husband could not get over the size of his burger, everything was so fresh and the presentation was superb. The kids meals were certainly presented differently with mini baskets for the chicken goujons, what was good to see were real homemenade chicken breast battered goujons and not processed cheap kids food.All in all I could not recommend this bisto highly enough, I noticed a negative review about the service and I could not praise the staff more, a reall different experience to most restaurants.Well done, we plan to come back next week.

Nice quiet bistro,good menu, great food and above all else friendly and helpful staff. The menu is very varied. I particularly liked the noodle dishes. They also cater for vegetarians and if you only want a quick snack the sandwiches are great value. Will definitely be going again.

Just been to the Bistro for lunch first impressions was well located but parking could be an issue as spaces are limited but can park on road very close by.The Bistro is very bright and airy,the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent,will be going again soon.

We visited this awful place today. Having found a table and a high chair and place for a pram we wee settled with a menu and a children s menu. A waitress approached us and said that they needed our table for a bigger party of six. I pointed out that the table did not have a reserved sign on. The answer to that was that the party had just rung to book. Whatever happened to first come first served. Another table was suggested with no room for high chair etc, so we were, defectively, thrown out. I cannot comment on the quality of the food, as the service we received did not give us a chance to try it. I suggest that staff of this place take a visit to Mc Donald's just down the road where the staff are polit, friendly and helpful.

The bistro we went to is in the middle of an industrial estate and basic decor but the food was wonderful and well priced. It also had a bar if you wanted a glass of wine or beer with your meal.

To be honest I did not know this place existed but I was presently suprised, a very nice clean bistro with pleasant and welcoming staff. There are alcoholic drinks available but unfortunately I was driving so I had a lovely cup of coffee. I would visit again.

Came here the weekend after new year, following recommendation from friends. Very helpful service, peaceful atmosphere and tasty food. Smoked haddock with spring onion fishcakes were delicious. Will be coming again

30 retired colleagues met up for lunch last week Busy lunchtime service however we were attended to promptly and efficiently No adverse comments about the food from any of the partyStar attraction was a mixed bean pate with spicy chutney delicious I had salmon main course cooked to perfection and onto christmas pud could not finish it all.For a lunch outside of the regular pub lunch provision down town Burnley this was a very welcome change Will definitely visit again

Called in for breakfast as I wanted something a little better than a supermarket cafe breakfast.... Unfortunately I have to say I think I would have been better off at a supermarket. A plate full of beans, over cooked poached eggs, the worst quality sausages I've ever had, the list goes on. Very disappointed. Will not be returning

We have just visited Simply Classic this evening for our annual Christmas meal. There were 20 of us. We all had a fabulous meal. Some had, turkey, salmon, steak and duck. Starters were all amazing, my chicken Caesar salad was the best I have ever tasted, the chicken was warm and the croutons crispy. The sweets were all to die for. The service was really quick and efficient. Still so easy to park, this is the place to visit. I really can't praise it enough, a fabulous experience. The best food and drink and wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to everyone concerned, see you next year.

We go here on a regular basis. Food and service are exceptional. Can't fault it at all. We've tried nearly the whole menu and all of it is very tasty. Would recommend to anyone.

Been here half a dozen times now and cannot fault it. Food is excellent with good portions and home made quality. Very teasonably priced.Its an unusual venue amongst the industrial units but the place itself is very pleasant. If you go for lunch go early as it fills very quickly when the nearby offices break for lunch.

I have been here 4 times now with friends and every time the food and service has been excellent. We have had something different on each visit and everything has been delicious. Very reasonable price and decent portions. The staff are always very helpful and very clean. As soon as someone leaves a table it is cleared and cleaned promptly. All in all a great place to eat.

We eat 5 or 6 times a year at Simply Classic and we always have good meals. Whether it is very busy or less so the service is good and efficient. There is a good selection of dishes to choose from. The prices are exceptionally good value for money considering the quality and quantity of food on offer. Our favourites are the stir fries and the fish pie. The desserts are scrumptious.

Called in for lunch, queued and then placed my order then the assistant told me they had sold out so had to lose my place and re- order. Ordered a jacket potato with tuna may and Beef and onion baguette with chips. When the jacket potato came it had been cooked but it was black underneath, there was a large dollop of tuna mayo on top, so I removed some so I could get stuck into the potato, the flesh was yellow, wet and non existent, absolutely the wrong kind of potato to use for a jacket potato priced a t £5.00. It was served on a large cold white plate with a spoonful of chopped up salad which contained chopped up tomato storks. It was pretty poor. The baguette was adequate, could have been warmer, but the chips were full of scraps and eyes, extremely poor quality. The waitress came over to take our plates away and asked us if everything was alright? When we explained about the jacket potato she just looked down her nose at us and took it away. Couldn't have given a dam. Will NOT be returning.

I went for lunch on Friday with my sister, i had heard fabulous reviews so i took her for a birthday lunch. We arrived at 2pm and we sat by the window, our food arrived and was fantastic. We decided to sample a delicious pudding, we had just started to eat this when one of the staff got out the hoover and started to clean....We still had our dessert to finish and our coffee. Shutters were being pulled and general putting away. It was only 2 55pm. We felt uncomfortable and hurried. Food beautiful and yummy, but rude to start cleaning when you still have paying customers.

Difficult as it is to rate eating establishments, what with people's varying tastes, this cafe bistro takes some beating. It caters for every need, from a coffee and delicious home made pastry, to a full three course business lunch. A menu board full of tempting starters, mains and puddings, sandwiches and daily specials awaits as you enter the place, and having had lots of it, can say, there's never been dissappointment for me or many friends I been there with. They serve breakfast and lunch on weekdays, and on Saturday evenings, a full blown restaurant menu. But it doesn't end there. You can book the venue for functions where they cater for your every need,and make your occasion very special. To recommend any particular dish may be out of order, so I'll tell you my personal favourite. It's a 'steak, red onion and mushroom' sandwich and chips (optional) with salad garnish, followed by their home made 'Sticky toffee pudding with a caramel sauce and ice cream.

Simply Classic is a family run business which offers outside catering as well as the restaurant service. We go for lunch there about twice per week on average, and for evening meals on special occasions. The food is always excellent as are the staff.

We eat at the Bistro at least once a month & are never dissapointed. The prices are very reasonable & the food always good. Service is always efficient & friendly. Lunch times can be busy but there are always a few tables free. My two sons love the chicken tikka & cheese panini's, the jacket potatoes are huge & the stir fried noodles excellent. They also open on Saturday morning/afternoon for brekfast & lunch & Saturday evening, but you may need to ring to check if they have a party booking. I never knew this place existed until someone who works on Shuttleworth Mead mentioned it, really glad we tried it.

I have visited Simply Classic Bistro on many occasions for over 9 years. It is the best lunchtime venue for miles around. The menu is simple but extensive, eg. baked potatoes, hot & cold sandwiches, paninis, lasagne, quiche; extremely reasonably priced, and everything is fresh & cooked to order perfectly in a matter of minutes. The staff are friendly and obliging, for example, for anyone with a small appetite who cannot manage to finish all their sandwich, they will wrap the remainder in foil & put it in a paper bag for them to take home.(you certainly wouldn't want to leave it behind!) They take telephone & fax orders for local workplaces, reserve their tables & have all the food ready for the allotted time. In good weather like we have at present, you can sit outside. It is only open Monday -Friday, as it is situated on a business park. You can also purchase food to takeaway, I recently purchased a tuna melt & a steak, onion & mushroom bap, and as they were wrapped in foil, were still warm when I arrived at my friend's house over 30 mins later. This Bistro is brilliant & little known, unless you have worked in the Simonstone area. It opens early for workers' breakfasts also, I believe. It definitely deserves to be top of the list for a lunchtime treat!

Went yesterday for lunch after seeing these reviews, had not heard of it before. Agree with all that's said, good home made food, good prices, friendly staff. Will certainly return.

Took my fiance ro Bistro yesterday and gorgeous as usual. I do work 2 minutes away so probably go at least once a week for a chippy butty, cold sandwich or jacket potato but thought we would go.I had jacket potato with chilli which was gorgeous and my fiance had the special of chicken and cheese pannini which was also gorgeous.All very helpful and frieendly staff and the cakes are homemade and oh so very yummy of yummyness.The prices are excellent so its win win every time.

I and work friends often go here for lunch often and after today i thought i need to mention them. after a poor service from another place where they hadn't taken our party booking and where unable to accomodate us we went here last minute, a party of 11, and they took out order and served us all in under half and hour !! very impressed as they were full up and very busy , and most of the part where on a tight dinner lunch schedule . The food is always delicious and very well priced.....no complaints and have been here many times thanks to the owners and girls who run it perfect !!....stick to what you know !!
