Started from not clearing the tables. We asked 5 times and the kid actually said that will do. Table remained dirty. We had the breakfast and omelettes runny and lightly cooked. They came out in piecemeal - no beans and both the breakfast and omelettes were truly cremated . We had to chase for all bits of the breakfast. Toast had margarine - who uses that??? Staff were incompetent and provided no service. Could not see anyone taking any responsibility. Although the bakery looks amazing I. Terms of products. I did not risk it. I would NOT recommend or maybe this is acceptable in Luton??? Would avoid completely.

This bakery has nice products and you can get a sandwich made personally. I ordered one with tuna mayo and nothing else. I got it to go and then 10 minutes later, I opened it to find some cheese in my sandwich so I couldn’t eat it. It was a waste of money.

An array of beautiful and delicious cakes and savouries, locally made. We stumbled upon the cafe en route to Luton . The cranberry and yoghurt flapjack was so yummy. Locally made. Friendly service and pristine loo!

Meal was cold and incomplete. Had to chase for toast which arrived after meal eaten. One egg was ok but the other rubbery and inedible. Coffee was ok but will definitely not be eating here ever again. Terrible value.

Visited Simmons in Stopsley. The soup was lovely and the member of staff friendly. But they had such bad body odour that I couldn’t bear to eat all of my food. They obviously hadn’t washed in days. Not good when handling food

When Simmons first opened it was great. Now, it's overpriced for the poor quality and service. Order was wrong, asked for Cherry Bakewells and got Almond Slice cakes - even though there was clearly a stack of cherry bakewells in the window which is what I clearly asked for. Unfortunately they were boxed away from me and then put in a bag so this wasn't realised until we got home. The donuts purchased were extremely dry and hard with almost no icing! Tasted as though they'd been sat in the window all weekend. Sausage roll was 80% pastry and 20% sausage. Sandwiches were the best part, but only because they put so much in to justify the £4 price tag. Don't mind paying the money because you go there for what you get, but if that's going to be the quality of food and service from now on I'll stick with Greggs! The ladies in store need to be reminded it might not be their dream job but they are customer facing, and a smile goes a long way.

The staff are friendly and the food is nice but it has to be a treat because its so expensive, once a month or less than that suits me

Visited during half term, with two adults and six children. We requested to sit at the back which was initially denied but agreed to, they requested we only use one table as the children had spread out (to two tables) as they had other guests arriving - which was a bit cramped and for the duration of the visit we were the only diners! The service was good and responsive and the food was good (slightly overpriced), would return but with a smaller group.

We were a party of 8, two of whom had travelled from Northamptonshire. Unfortunately the service we received today was poor. The chef had not turned up so they were trying to prepare food with someone who was covering in the kitchen. We ordered our food at 12 o'clock and only two meals arrived promptly. These two had finished theirs before the rest of us received ours at 1.20. We were told that we had to vacate the table at 2.30 for the next sitting which ordinarily would have been fine. We would have liked desert but could not chance being finished by 2.30 with the slow pace of service. We settled for coffee which took another half an hour to arrive. I had to remind them that we were still waiting for my grandsons ice cream. At 2.15 we had just finished our coffee when we were being hurried from our table to make way for the 2.30 sitting. The whole experience was unpleasant and disappointing. The staff were doing their best and kept telling us so however, it was not our fault that they were short staffed and quite frankly disorganised.
