This was the worse curry we had , nan bread was dry ,onion Bali were rock hard the chicken madras was tasteless would never go there again

Not worth eating we took it all back all we could taste was oil and the chef said it tasted fine you we took it back used this place for years really gone down hill will never be having this again!!!

Not a great place to have vegetable dishes. One of the poorest had till now. Chicken Tikka Massale is More like Chicken Sugar Gravy. Never has such a sweet curry. How much sugar do u guys add? Disappointed! ☹️

The curry all tasted the same, identical to the vegetable curry very disappointed as I’m a long term customer.

Beautiful food as always. Sometimes the delivery can be a little slow so always order before you want it. Definitely worth the wait.

The friendliest people you can get to cook your dinner. Always on it, always top up the bag with some extra pressies, the food is delicious, the menu is various, tailored to all needs, creative and decent portions!

Thoroughly surprised, having lived in knaphill for 28 years we did a random order and it was the most flavoursome and delicious curry we have had in a while. I would say the dishes are less about heat and more about flavour.

When I called was told it was cook so couldn't cancel said he'd be quick.. naan cold and soaking wet. Lamb . Hardly any of it and cold. Chicken cold tasted like tomato soup. Never again 😥

First time in a while having a curry and I've always ordered from simla but over 2hrs from ordering I finally got my food,i wont be ordering again,shame because its still good food

The delivery was late and it was also missing my drink. This is not the first time Simla Spice have not given me my drink.

Ordered a takeaway about 9pm, took 1hr 15 to arrive (we live within 1 mile of restaurant) always seems to be delived by the kitchen staff on their way home when we order at this time. Quality was awful, at least 2/3s of the chicken in both tikka masalas was questionable, rubbery, obviously quickly pan fried and some was still pink in the middle. Sauce was obviously microwaved, just really not nice. Disappointing as used to be such nice food but last 2 orders have been horrible. Its like they can't be bothered because we ordered late.

Best Indian takeaway in the area

Alot of sauce hardly any meat not worth the money. Lamb tikka bhuna was full to the brim of onions and peppers hunt for the lamb.

In general - the food was very good. The Just Eat APP said it should be delivered between 20.45 and 21.05 … and it arrived at 21.08 … which was OK. The only issue was - what were those onion bajis?? Very strange and we only ate half a one each. The rest of the food was very good and plentiful.

Tried Simla tonight and was delighted. We had CTM chicken tikka tandoori chicken, cauliflower bhaje saag bhaje chana masala mush rice garlic naan chapati and tarka dhal All of it was great and will put a lot of the local big names to shame for value

Very disappointed with my wife’s Garlic jull. My wife stated that she was unable to eat her meal as her spice tolerance is very low, this is why she insists on this dish. My wife also said, that it was possibly a Madras that had been adjusted by using a lot of Garlic. This is just money that has been wasted. NOT HAPPY!!

Did not like the chicken in chicken biryani and it smelled bit weird. Chana saag and poatoe curry was quiet oily but the potatoe curry was fine

Delivery was between 25 and 30 minutes late, I understand that the restaurant will be busy due to the time of year, however you never get an explanation or apology and I order from here at least once a week. Happy New Year to you all.

Not up to their usual high standard. Disappointing on this occasion.

Naans were burnt. Kebab was burnt. Lack of seasoning in everything. Chicken tikka wasn't fresh... definitely reheated. None of the food was hot. Overly sweet mint yogurt. Unimpressed. £30 wasted.

Food was cold and order was late

I asked for delivery at 20:20 it arrived at 19:35. I was the only one in and the other 3 dinners were still on their way back from Christmas shopping in Bath. I had to keep the food warm in the oven so defeating the idea of ordering a takeaway.

Despite it turning up early the food was cold and couldn’t eat half of it Disappointing as normally reliable

Absolutely love Simla Spice, never late usually but tonight they was so late. I’m sure they were extremely busy because it’s lovely food but no communication from the restaurant and the phone number wasn’t working. The guy delivering was very polite and apologetic not that it was his fault as he delivered the food hot, so just a case of busy restaurant. Please communicate better so we know whether we need to order else where if you can’t deliver at the time you stated.

40 mins late and still not arrived - £36 order, tried to call, phone line dead?? Walking down now to see if any form of life is available!!

Not even worth 1 star...75 minutes late...everything tasted old and stale and chopped up stale bajis?? It was awful...£30 and it went in the bin...so cross i accepted the delivery after waiting so long...never again!

Always amazing food from Simla, never disappoints!

Lovely dishes with lots of depth of flavour. Both dishes were completely different which was welcomed. Very good naans and the keema naan was full!

When some take aways are taking £12 plus off you for a main dish this is a traditional Indian restaurant that has a great menu honest prices and made to order. Delicious curry delivered hot. Lovely lovely lovely. Would happily recommend and wi fefinately use again and again.

We used to love Simla. However, they have really let standards slip. My wife called as the food was late only to be sworn at and hung up on. I then called and the Chap on the phone continued to be rude and saying it was the drivers fault. We were lied to and told our food had been out with the driver for 1hr. We only live 10mins away. Just as i was asking him for a refund Our food arrived 45mins late and the delivery driver was also rude to us. The food was hot (surprisingly) but some of the order was wrong. We will not use them again. Shame, as we had so many good experiences previously.

Lovely food as always. Hot, fresh and very tasty. It is my favourite Indian takeaway. Unusually, it was a few mins late this time but this was an exception to the generally good delivery times in the past.

Food was excellent as normal, the only down side is the amount everything has gone up. My normal order has gone up by 20% and I don’t understand why when not everything has gone up including wages!!!

Food didn’t ever turn up. Every time I phoned I was told it was 5 minutes away. The person on the phone hung op when I requested a refund.

Food is always tasty but I’m not really impressed with the recent price increases, I expected an increase in quality or volume of some sort but nothing. It maybe time to find another local Takeaway who can give more value for money.

Tried this curry house as our normal one was shut - we haven’t gone back. Food is always lovely, choice is excellent and good value for money. I have gotten food from here multiple times in the past and the food has always been prepared fresh and is always yummy, it has never disappointed.

We've always used Simla and they never disappoint. The food was tasty and we especially like the tarka dall.

I phoned the restaurant to be told the delivery driver should be here, I said ok and put the phone down. I checked my cctv and there was still no delivery, the driver arrived another 4 mins late ☹️

Food was cold and tasted awful.

The food was really good, however one dish had spilt and covered a lot of the other food we'd ordered and the onion bhaji were missing which was a huge disappointment. I'd happily order again though though what we did receive was lovely.

Was left waiting for almost 15 mins while they kept looking over at me. Then was told it would "be a bit longer". Total wait time ended up being over 25 mins. Food was barley warm when I got it. Service and quality has gone down hill in recent years.
