Jaipur in Woking

This is my 2nd time to try indian food (the first time is Dishoom in Kensington). The food is amazing and impressive, and it's not expensive at all! The vibe is more quite and cosy to London restaurant so we can finally have proper talking on the table. strongly recommend anyone who never but desire to try the indian food. It won't disappoint you!

Lovely naga curry. Hot and I loved it!

The starter was ok. Not unpleasant. The vegetable madras was awful. No flavour, depth or spices. Just lots of chilly powder I suspect and something to make it red- no tomatoes, mushy peas and soggy carrots. This restaurant used to be very good but all a front now and good definitely substandard.

We were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely this restaurant was overall. Our table was booked for 6:30pm so the restaurant had some guests in it but wasn’t too busy. By 7:30pm it was quite busy. The service was relaxed and not rushed which suited us. The food and flavours were superb. We both tried two of the chef’s speciality curries (a lamb and a king prawn curry) with pilau rice, dahl and a keema naan. We were looked after by Abdhul - thank you. We will definitely visit again.

I am Indian myself and I can safely say that this is the worst restaurant ever charging for chutneys £2 and then most food coming with coconut in the taste so bland I think they need to open a proper Karahi restaurant in this town that really knows what they are doing .all dishes were sweet and mango chutney was red who has ever had mango chutney red.

This place is so over priced. £20 for bowl of very oily curry. Minimal amount of prawns in the dish. Not impressed.

This is what a meal in an Indian restaurant should be like. Excellent popudums and a lovely selection of chutneys and sauces. Attentive and friendly staff, who recommended me a fantastic railway lamb tava. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A choice of kingfisher and cobra beers too. Spot on

As an indian myself with a mature Indian palate, often disappointed eating out in Indian eateries. However, this one surpassed my high threshold. Very tasty, clearly authentic with a good balance of the spices. And surprisingly, the presentation, atmosphere and the service matched the quality of the food. Only place I will eat an indian, when down in that area.

Gave me another order free and had to again change it as it had been done again. Specifically told me to make sure I put that I am vegetarian when ordering and can't be cooked with anything that's been used for meat. Did that, also called and made sure. Still it came and can tell its clearly been cooked with meat, can tell by the taste and can see little bits of chicken in the curry. Huge difference in the look and flavour when it hasn't been mixed with meats. Very disappointing as I love the food when they have done it right. I can't keep getting sick hoping that they have cooked it right this time. 28 pounds wasted. Very upset.

50th bday meal.... Was colder than my fridge. Inedible and no change from £45 for 2 people.... Had a few mouthfuls and put it in the bin

Rubbish. Went with group of 10-12 people. Rude staff. Below average food. Won’t recommend.

I ordered take out! It was fantastic, lovely driver, food was yummy, delivered when they said they would. And now I have too much food because I couldn't fit it all in.

The family always enjoys eating at Jaipur because they cover the range from very spicy to mild - the Naga curry is an excellent hot curry 😋

5 star!!! Lively atmosphere, smiles on all the staffs faces, fast service amd chicken masala was amazing. Dined myself having come from Scotland for weekend to see family and couldn’t have been more impressed.

Each time I visit Woking, I love to eat at Jaipur. Very good service and the team answers to your need and questions. When lots of people, it's noisy but very good food to taste India in your mouth.

Absolutely amazing meal, we are from Leicester so hard to please but this place is really good.

I love eating here at Jaipur whenever I am in Woking. Lots of lovely tables, nicely decorated, fantastic service and a really good menu and they will make lots of things that aren't listed if you ask. Busy street full of lots of places to eat and drink but give them all a swerve and hit Jaipur instead. Highly recommended.

By far the best curry restaurant in Woking

Superb food in a very comfortable setting. The staff were really efficient and friendly. The Railway Lamb on the special dishes was delicious… melt in the mouth lamb and lots of it in a rich and flavoursome sauce. Everything was delicious.

This restaurant is very highly recommended - I visit on average once a month with friends and family and every time the food and service is always amazing and I think this is one of the best places for a curry in Surrey! Always great, friendly service from Ashraf and I recommend the Juliani Murgh Chicken which is one of the specials and so tasty!!

If you really enjoy Indian cuisine and do not just want the usual common place main course then you must go to the Jaipur. The menu is very adventurous and very different from other Indian restaurants. So, try them. But, if you want a korma or biryani they are available. The start we had was the King Prawn Puri and Mixed Platter and both were first class in taste, quality and presentation. I had the Chicken Jalfrezi and it was the best ever. My wife had the Chicken Shaslik and again it was superb. So yes the Jaipur is very popular and so we would only go again on a quiet night and not a Friday or Saturday as it does get busy and noisy. Try it once and you will also return. Enjoy

We often travel 25 miles each way and it’s worth the journey. Excellent quality Indian food, always cooked to a high standard. Our favourite dishes are Chicken Nirali and the amazing tandoori king prawns. You need to book at the weekends as it gets very busy.

Our food took over an hour to arrive and it turned up cold which meant we had to heat it up. Terrible.

Great food, Nicky presented. We had the Kerelan fish and the Railway lamb. Both different, both delicious. Naans lovely but maybe on the small side compared with some other restaurants. Quite expensive but recommended for a treat or special occasion

Booked a table online and had to wait till the restaurant opened before they could confirm the reservation then they phoned me to move the time which was a pain then when we get there there was no room for us really not happy will not recommend and will not return

Really good food. The spice level is amazing and authentic. Just solid for this type of food. The service is excellent as well, everyone is really nice. Clean place, very nice looking interior.

The food is delicious, but finding what looks like a corner chopped of an insulated bag in your food really does not encourage a repeat order. I sent them a picture of it but they don’t reply to emails. If you like tasty food and aren’t to fussy about what you find in it then it’s thoroughly recommended.

Really pleasant evening. Booked for a large group (12) which was a mixture of clients & colleagues who all enjoyed the night - Jaipur delivered in both good food & decent service. Highly recommend the Tandoori prawn starter & Railway Lamb Tava for the main. Delicious.

We returned here after our last visit many years ago. Pretty standard high street Indian restaurant. all good, Cobra beer, some different dishes accompanied by all the usual sides. perfectly ok.

Been here a few times over the last few years, the food is always top notch especially with the Railway Curry. Good services too. Decor can do with some update but all-in-all a good dining experience.

Found a very sharp and dangerous piece of hard plastic in a mouthful of my food! This could of caused serious problems if a child had eaten this! Terrible food safety management!

Restaurant nearly full as we passed, so thought a good sign. Wrong! Service good and attentive, asked for 2 poppadums received 4, was charged for 4! Then the mains came out..... I had Naga, my go to dish. This is an extremely hot dish, but also very favourable. Not here. No taste, just pure chilli and as for the powdery texture! My partner had the Dhoom, described as the - (The real curry) chicken or lamb cooked with pungent spices in a caramelised onion gravy(medium hot). Again all that could be tasted was a jar of curry powder ! Plain chicken overcooked! We were told that the Naga is different at different places, well that may be the case, but no taste at all? really - nah, not accepting that. The Dhoom, why not, as always nice to try a different dish that restaurants offer. My partner said that she's had curry sauce on chips tastes better! Manager did remove the Dhoom from the bill, nice, but as soon as this was being discussed the atmosphere towards us totally changed, no offer of making another dish, would have thought that a better option. Feeling uncomfortable sitting there while we finished our drinks, we stopped drinking and left. Shame but hey, others enjoyed from their reviews

Used chewing gum in my order. Destroyed my table. Phoned up to complain and they couldn't care less. Will not be eating here again.

We had a wonderful birthday meal out here with our son for his 12th birthday. He invited some friends and we were treated like kings! The food was amazing - and the boys all cleaned their plates (leaving very little space for dessert!). One of the boys has a dairy allergy and they paid particular attention to this so I didn’t have to worry. The restaurant is really beautiful inside too. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely banging food, service was seamless and the dining room itself is very relaxing. Try the Railway Lamb Tava as it genuinely is the best dish in Woking and i'm talking about ALL cuisines.

Overall I'd say this place is over-priced for what it is. Overall the food was standard for an Indian Restaurant however the price was expensive. E.g. my beer, rice, nan and curry came up to £31. The lamb botico curry (without rice) on its own was £15 and this was a distinctly average curry, hence it's too expensive. I regret spending this amount on this curry. Chocolate cake was £5.50 and was average. I.e. a bit too dry and the chocolate flavour wasn't anything special, hence too expensive. There was no discreet option to remove the service charge, hence the prices I quote above are what I paid and are with service charge. For comparison, I recently went to Shahanshah in Cheshunt where I got an all-you-can-eat Indian buffet for £11.99, where I was happy with all the food there. Also Shahanshah does not force service charge on you.

A large group of us went for dinner and had a variety of dishes. All the food was absolutely delicious, from the lamb biryani, the naan, the chicken sashlik, the lal maas and the chicken tikka masala. Service was friendly and swift. Really, really good food! Will return.

Food was not cooked properly. Please read out the menu carefully, they have different prices when you order side dish as mains. It seems overpriced to me, woking has better options which are far more better than this.

Ordered a meal from here last night. Still hadn’t arrived after 2 hours, phoned the restaurant who said it was on it’s way. Waited another 30 mins and called back only to be told it hadn’t been cooked and the order hadn’t gone through. The customer service was appalling. The food when we have been there before has been great but the service and attitude from the restaurant last night means we won’t be using this establishment again. A shame that they’ll lose customers through a sheer lack of any sort of helpful service.

Ordered from here last night. The food was delicious but we were a little bit disappointed that we did not receive our full order, the poppadoms were crushed and food was lukewarm. When I called to ask where our missing items were the phone was passed over to another colleague who went off to talk to someone for what seemed like forever, then confirmed that it was indeed missing, laughed and said 'yeah we will credit your card'. I have now received this credit which was a good will gesture but the order was a shame as I have had really good experience in the past.

Ordered today through Sqaure site, they failed to deliver my garlic nan, but still charged me for it. No way to request a refund.

Over 30 minutes late for delivery and tried to call for 15 minutes with it constantly being busy. Terrible service

Twice when I have been here with a pre booked table I have walked out before being seated. First time I was asked how long we would be eating and seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff for being three. Told the guy not to bother if it was a hassle and left to go to another restaurant nearby where there was a "Welcome, how are you, please come this way to be seated" attitude. Last night had booked a table here again as I had put my last experience down to a one off - thought it worth another try. But nope, this time, despite the whole Corona thing, we had booked for 7pm. Had lots of emails about being on time, extra safe etc. Got there on time and waited in the queue outside. Eventually the people in front decided to see what the hold up was. Went in, never came out. By now we were over our booked time so I went in also. Other masked up diners were standing waiting, the guy who went in before me said "Good luck, this is a bloody shambles". I approached the guy behind the counter who was busy on the checkout. No acknowledgement, no eye contact, not a word. I felt a bit like a ghost standing there. He decided that he would just ignore me and walk away. As a big believer in the saying "If you don't look after your customers, someone else will" we decided to go elsewhere. Had a lovely meal elsewhere and won't be going back to the Jaipur again.
