My husband and I went out for dinner at Jaipur, a restaurant on Woking high street and the food was very delicious. We planned to visit the restaurant during our visit from Australia. My husband lived and worked locally for many years in Woking 5 yrs ago and used to frequent the restaurant with mates and work colleagues. He said the food then was amazing and he couldn’t wait to take me to his favourite Indian restaurant to try the food. I must say I wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious, we love the Railway Man curry and Sak paneer. The restaurant is modern with contemporary decor, clean with lighting that is just perfect for an intimate dinner and the staff are very polite, friendly and the service we received was very good. It was definitely worth the visit and I will recommend to my friends and family.

One of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to (and we e been to a lot!). The food was fantastic quality, lots to choose from and really spicy without spoiling the flavour. The staff were helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and the setting was lovely. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, we only wish we lived closer as we would definitely be regulars.

You are never disappointed by the quality of food and service. Jaipur has survived the coming and going of many fads and fake restaurants in its twenty-one years. It has serviced covid, economic factions by delivering the freshest and best ingredients. My favourite is Railway lamb, succulent and deliciously spiced it melts on your tongue. Tandori prawns are fresh and juicy. Ali and his team are better than Brick Lane or anything local.

At last we’ve found a really good Indian restaurant in Woking. Great tasting curries and super service from Ahmed. We were well impressed and will definitely be returning. Update… still 5*s but to add the Butter Chicken we had last night is honestly the best anywhere in the world except perhaps the Oberoi in Bombay.

We have some good restaurants in Edinburgh serving Indian food but this establishment in the centre of Woking is right up there with the best. We were down for the Hampton Court Flower Show and needed somewhere good after a slightly damp day. We couldn’t have done better. Efficient and friendly staff, a good atmosphere with every table taken and clean fresh linen tablecloth and napkins results in something special – and that’s before you get on to the deliciously and subtly spiced dishes. The railway lamb lives up to its heritage and I would thoroughly recommend eating here.

The service was relaxed and not rushed which suited us. The food and flavours were superb. We both tried two of the chef’s speciality curries (a lamb and a king prawn curry) with pilau rice, dahl and a keema naan. We were looked after by Abdhul - thank you. We will definitely visit again.

Specifically told me to make sure I put that I am vegetarian when ordering and can't be cooked with anything that's been used for meat. Did that, also called and made sure. Still it came and can tell its clearly been cooked with meat, can tell by the taste and can see little bits of chicken in the curry. Huge difference in the look and flavour when it hasn't been mixed with meats. Very disappointing as I love the food when they have done it right. If you really enjoy Indian cuisine and do not just want the usual common place main course then you must go to the Jaipur. The menu is very adventurous and very different from other Indian restaurants. So, try them. But, if you want a korma or biryani they are available. The start we had was the King Prawn Puri and Mixed Platter and both were first class in taste, quality and presentation. I had the Chicken Jalfrezi and it was the best ever. My wife had the Chicken Shaslik and again it was superb. So yes the Jaipur is very popular and so we would only go again on a quiet night and not a Friday or Saturday as it does get busy and noisy. Try it once and you will also return. Enjoy

Restaurant nearly full as we passed, so thought a good sign. Wrong! Service good and attentive, asked for 2 poppadums received 4, was charged for 4! Then the mains came out..... I had Naga, my go to dish. This is an extremely hot dish, but also very favourable. Not here. No taste, just pure chilli and as for the powdery texture! My partner had the Dhoom, described as the - (The real curry) chicken or lamb cooked with pungent spices in a caramelised onion gravy(medium hot). Again all that could be tasted was a jar of curry powder ! Plain chicken overcooked! We were told that the Naga is different at different places, well that may be the case, but no taste at all? really - nah, not accepting that. The Dhoom, why not, as always nice to try a different dish that restaurants offer. My partner said that she's had curry sauce on chips tastes better! Manager did remove the Dhoom from the bill, nice, but as soon as this was being discussed the atmosphere towards us totally changed, no offer of making another dish, would have thought that a better option. Feeling uncomfortable sitting there while we finished our drinks, we stopped drinking and left. Shame but hey, others enjoyed from their reviews

Overall I'd say this place is over-priced for what it is. Overall the food was standard for an Indian Restaurant however the price was expensive. E.g. my beer, rice, nan and curry came up to £31. The lamb botico curry (without rice) on its own was £15 and this was a distinctly average curry, hence it's too expensive. I regret spending this amount on this curry. Chocolate cake was £5.50 and was average. I.e. a bit too dry and the chocolate flavour wasn't anything special, hence too expensive. There was no discreet option to remove the service charge, hence the prices I quote above are what I paid and are with service charge. For comparison, I recently went to Shahanshah in Cheshunt where I got an all-you-can-eat Indian buffet for £11.99, where I was happy with all the food there. Also Shahanshah does not force service charge on you.

Gorgeous authentic food that reminds me of my grandfather's cooking. The atmosphere inside is calm and inviting.

It was my first time having a takeaway from the Red Rose since being vegan and I was very impressed. Delicious vegan Dansak and very friendly manager and staff. I will definitely return.

This used to be an excellent restaurant but seems to have problems. A few weeks before this visit it was unexpectedly closed when it was supposed to be open. On the evening we did go it was very quiet. We ordered a bottle of white wine. It was served at room tepertaure so we asked for a chilled one. They said they didn't have that particular wine chilled but they did have another. When that arrived it was chilled but it had already been opened with at least a couple of glasses taken out. We asked for a chilled unopened bottle of anything they had which eventually arrived but they made us feel we were being unreasonable when we were only asking for someting any restaurant would serve automatically. The food was OK, but nothing like as good as it has been in the past. When we came to pay they asked for cash not credit card. We said we wanted to pay by credit card and so we were asked if we could pay part of the bill with cash. We declined but this isn't good. Altogether a very disappointing evening.
