New Haweli in Woking

Beautiful Indian restaurant with really brilliant staff who take care of you effortlessly. The food and decor is absolutely amazing highly recommend for all food lovers.

The food was okay three out of the four members of the group all had upset stomachs afterwards till lunchtime the next day. presentation was good however this is twice in a row where I have been let down with how my stomach is after the curry here. I gave it a benefit of the doubt the first time, I don’t get this anywhere else. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I have nothing but praise for this place, the staff and the food was amazing. Shall definitely be going back again.

A take away. A schoolgirl error. Since this restaurant moved, we have been slightly disappointed. Our normal take away was closed. Decided maybe the New Haweli had improved. Such a shame, used to be the best Indian in our village. Regrettably, not now! The King Patia was like soup, runny and the prawns were not the very large ones. What can you say? So disappointing.

Had a selection of curries, tasty and spicy. Lots of staff, but only one person taking the food orders, which seemed to take quiet a while before our order was taken. The price you charge for a diet coke is ridiculous!! Overall nice....

We were dining in the restaurant couple of times and food was lovely and staff was very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately we are very disappointed with take aways which we had twice. First time food was okay,but very average. We ordered second time last night and very dissappinted.... Takka masala had maybe 5 pieces of chicken. In Hariyali chick masala ,my chicken wasn't eatable. Really tough and still pinky inside 😔

Best Indian takeaway we've had for years. Interesting menu, tasty black dhal. Every dish was a winner. So good we even rang the restaurant to say how delicious it was!

We have been eating here for over 20 years despite the name change to New Haweli. The restaurant is very popular with locals and the food excellent. Always freshly cooked , generous portions and piping hot. The staff are amazing and all should be commended for their hard work . The tables are laid with white table cloths and thr restaurant is spotless. The owner, Sunil should be very proud.

Four of us just had the most superb meal tonight..Faultless, flavoursome, authentic, great service and value..Highly recommend

We have not been here for some time, it has always been very good, but this time it was incredible. The food was so tasty and the presentation has definitely got better. The service is fine, I just wish the waiting staff were a little more engaging and smiled more. Other than that, we are looking forward to our next visit.

I have never before experienced such poor customer service and outright rudeness from the manager of a restaurant. We booked a family meal and seemingly there was an error with the booking but the manager accused us of lying with the online booking and refused to accommodate an additional guest at the table and then ejected us from the restaurant. Absolute disgrace. This manager has zero customer service and clearly has no regard for the reputation of the restaurant she oversees. My “score” for this place is the lowest possible.

Just rang a second ago to ask if they do vegan options, she said yes and asked wherever they do nepali dishes as well because the menu states dumplings but she mentioned no its Indian and I confirmed with her and she said yes and hang up. The lady in the phone sounds rude and no customer service. It is sad because we waited an hour for the restaurant to open.

Food tasted of while eating. Just thought was a seasoning I didn't like but ended up ill next day.

Food was very good, just felt service was a bit slow. Got our Poppadoms quickly enough but eventually we had to find someone to ask to place our main order, then we had to ask twice for our beer order and then (bottled beer) took about 15 minutes to arrive??

Generally okay, my friends all enjoyed their meals however I found the food average. There were a couple of issues with our meals but the service was fine. They can make some options vegan but it's fairly limited. They only offer bottled drinks and nothing on tap. It was fairly busy, so I would recommend making a reservation.

Delicious takeaway! We ordered just mains to try this place out and one of the best Indians we have had. Great flavours and nicely cooked meat, will certainly be ordering/visiting again.

Amazing food, one of the best curry you would find in the UK.

Food arrived promptly and hot but lacked flavour. Samosas obviously frozen as they were severely undercooked, tikka masala sauce tasted like cream of tomato soup! Naans overly thick and doughy. Wouldn’t order again.

If you're a serious curry connoisseur, New Haweli is a must. I've had a usual go-to for years now, but after a slightly disappointing visit there recently, we mixed it up and was very impressed. Flavour for days! Real, authentic, tasty dishes cooked perfectly. Everything we ate was a celebration in itself. Great service. Excellent all round.

Excellent service. We’ve been ordering food every Friday for twenty years ( also from the old premises ).We have come to know the owner and his lovely staff extremely well. I particularly like eating in . The food is always fresh and hot which is very important to me . I have come to like Chicken Dansak and Mr . Rooney always had lamb Madras Huge fans of the taaka dhal.

One of the few Indian restaurants that now opens for Sunday lunchtime, and it's well worth a visit, never overbusy with great well cooked fresh meals at a reasonable price.

We usually get take away but had a bit of time so decided to eat in. The food was absolutely amazing as always. Sunil and his team made sure everything was just right. Somehow it tastes nicer when you don't have washing up to do as well

Well where to start? A nice restaurant very decent curry's nice people run it and we used to use it regularly. But....the last take away was hardly any meat in birriani small portion ok we pit it down to a mistake everyone makes em. We went in there a couple of weeks ago had a lovely meal they have taken the meat option starter off menu for 2 meals for two on Tuesdays cut backs! So takeaway last night was lovely but my god portion size awful awful half a small box of vegetable curry half a box of chicken curry but more money. Honestly if you sit inside it's twice the size otherwise you would complain. Really need to get act together otherwise customers will stop using not just for takeaway but to sit in. STOP BEING SO TIGHT with portions we all need value for our money and this isn't!

It was the first time I had eaten here and was delighted by the quality and quantity of food offered at a very competitive price. Thr flavours were spectacular, everything prepared fresh and piping hot when served. Really nice atmosphere, clean and tidy restaurant with authentic decor and loved the booth style seating making it feel secluded when dining either as a couple or with friends. The only feedback I would offer for improvement is to have maybe 1 more person serving as it was very busy for a Monday night and it took a while for the order to be taken and subsequent food delivery. Having said that though, we were in no hurry, so was good for us as we didn't feel rushed and just took our time, would definitely come here again as even with slightly slow service the food and environment outweigh the other area for improvement. Excellent, try it!!!!!

Absolutely amazing food was first class. The staff were amazing very helpful very friendly and catered for all our needs. Very clean and tidy and very well priced. Ordered way to much as we felt guilty of leaving some of it. Highly recomended to anyone that likes this kind of food.. Felt overwhelmed with the welcome and friendliness of all the staff here.. Can't praise this enough. Thank you to everyone that made our meal out an amazing one..

Not the same as usual food cold and obviously has been hanging around fur a while, the pasanda had a weird taste, disappointed

This was our third time eating in and it’s been excellent each time. Service was friendly and timely, and all the food was tasty and fresh. Each dish was different and well-described on the menu. The monkfish special (Malabar?) is especially excellent. The staff sensitivity handled the minute long national silence as it was the night before the state funeral. We really enjoy the restaurant and really recommend it to others.

Four of us went to Haweli a few evenings ago and again thee food and the service were excellent - very customer focussed - wide range of options for food and good beer and wine.

Ordered a takeaway from here, last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Laal Mas (Lamb) was just right - spicy & tender. Just how I like it. Naans were just made - large, warm & fluffy. Really enjoyed this meal & will be sure to order again.

I have not been for a few years, but I went for Sunday lunch today and had an absolute superb meal, the place is also immaculately clean, will be returning.

All main courses (6 different choices) and side dishes were excellent. The house wine is always reliable. The restaurant is clean and well presented and the service was fine. My only disappointment was the sliced onion salad served with the papadoms. There wasn't enough of it and it had been prepared too long in advance so was not fresh. I'm sure we will return - the food is great.

Ordered a takeaway, lady on the phone was very nice and answered all my questions. Order arrived earlier than expected which was great! Unfortunately the food was a let down. The chicken meat was very tough and dry, it was very overcooked which ruined the rest of the meal. Portion size was decent but not really ideal to have a decent portion size if you can't enjoy the rubbery chicken.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is very warm and comfortable. The staff are nice and friendly and the food is tasty. I enjoyed it and definitely recommend

Food was OK but rather expensive. Really crowded on the Sat night we were there, very noisy.

Tried for first time today best curry I’ve had in ages definitely going back.

A great all round experience. Excellent range of choice on the menu and attentive customer service. Food was really tasty and arrived quickly. Naan bread especially good, but everything tastes home made. Highly recommended.

I wish I could rate new haweli 10 stars instead of 5! Their food is absolutely delicious, my takeaway order always arrive hot and delivery is always earlier than expected! Best indian food my partner and I have ever had, and we are proud to call ourselves a regular customer of theirs! 😁.

Very average small portions food was ok nothing great service was ok didn't put themselves out, can not say anything great about it.

The food is amazing!! And they made sure that they could make any dish as I am lactose intolerance. The wheelchair access is very good, however No disabled toilet!!!

After a stunning/delicious take away a few weeks ago, decided to try again. AND another disappointment. Nepalese Chicken Chill, flavoursome, beautiful chicken breast with a rich sauce, chilli adding to the flavour a great favourite of ours. Sadly this time hardly any chilli BUT worse the most awful coating on the chicken pieces - WHY? The dish was ruined Maybe a new chef? As for my King Prawn Pathia again not the quality or the dish am used to here. Yes the prawns were superb. BUT what was done to the sauce I have no idea, flavourless hardly any spices or chilli, cooked I can only imagine in a tomato soup.with mashed potato. IN fact the same flavour/texture of the potato aloo. Such a great pity really miss the quality and flavours of this place. It was a take away so any other comments are based on that,

Delicious curries, making even the standard recipes as good as a chef’s special, and an easy online order system too. Highly recommended.

Continues improvement and always delicious as it meant to be. Loved Hariyali chicken tikka masala, Neplease chilly chicken, and Chicken tikka lababdar. Never missed Chicken tikka briyani in my every order I placed coz the way you serve with the sauce is amazing. Obviously on time delivery during this pandemic. Cant wait to eat in soon.

Ordered our usual favourites; the Nepali Chilli Chicken, the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Choila last night which were amazing as always. Highly recommend!

Went to this restaurant with friends before lockdown and the food was amazing then on February 12th had a take and the food was so good I think this is the best restaurant by far and would recommend to anybody

Its a great pleasure to write this review. A few years ago, I had made a takeaway order from New Haweli that was unfortunately less than satisfactory and as such we avoided ordering from them. Last week we decided to give them a try and were SO glad we did. The food arrived in good time and was still lovely and hot. The flavours were fresh and so delicious. I will not hesitate to make this our go to Curry takeaway. Its always nice to see a local restaurant improving their customer experience. Would recommend!

Sunil and the team continue to produce the best curry dishes, even during lockdown.The guys have remained very helpful, a delight to deal with and always produce high levels of customer service.The food is still excellent.We will be returning to the restaurant as soon as we can.

The food was superbly cooked and presented, the service was first class and the total experience was as enjoyable as it could be with all the Covid restrictions (to which the restaurant had also made this visit as safe as possible). Highly recommended.

Take your order, take your payment then call to say they will not be fulfilling the order as you live 0.3 miles too far away and your payment will be refunded in 5 days - SHOCKING!

Excellent adherence to covid rules and great food

Take out. Expensive small portons for the price. Those portions themselves were watery with too much sauce. Chicken was dry. The vegetables in the vegetable curry were small - (Aldi value style)and only a few bits of potato. Pick up same price as delivery. Haweli used to be fantastic, fantastic food and customer service and a complimentary drink if you picked up your food. I most definitely won't be going back anytime soon. If they dont take drastic action to change I can't see them lasting much longer.

Unfortunately we had a takeaway from here tonight and it was not it’s greatest the chicken used was tough and the sauces was not it’s usual standard very disappointed!!

My partner asked if the mixed grill contained red colouring dye (it is authentic to have but not good for you) and was told just a little- it was covered in it. We complained and got fobbed off thats the way the chef had marinated it that way ( stating the obvious). The other dishes lacked seasoning and spices and were watery and mostly ended up in the bin. The only plus was that the dishes were not oily or unhygienic. I cannot understand how this establishment had received so many 5 stars reviews

Normally don't review restaraunts but today at New Haveli the food was fantastic, the service exceptional. Also the Covid precautions were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Was there on a Friday night when it was full but the service was still efficient. The starters and mains chosen by our party of 4 were all greatly enjoyed. I also went on a week day a few days later where they had a new starter on the menu for the first time - lamb takatak. A lovely portion with exceptional seasoning. Of all the Indian restaurants in the area, the Haweli is now my favourite. Would recommend.

Booking was not recorded on the system and caused delays Govt scheme for eat out to help out was not 100% implemented. Food is alright but not great service

Had a lovely meal at Haweli. They never disappoint. Service was excellent and the food just amazing.

Excellent curry, very flavoursome and tastes extremely fresh. The meat is always so tender and not dry at all. Brilliant naan breads too. We visit here regularly and have had several takeaways which have always been tasty. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff who were very sensible about distancing in the current climate. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The Nepali chicken in particular is a excellent here. We called and placed an order which we went to collect as takeaway. The food was ready on time and still hot when we reached home. Friendly staff and very nicely decorated restaurant. Highly recommend!
