Such a wonderful little gem of a restaurant, food and service were excellent.

Walked past their takeaway front many times but didn’t realise they have a restaurant for dining. I got the lunch set and was impressed. The portion size is generous and everything was tasty. Chips and curry sauce were spot on for me. The fish was fresh and didn’t feel oily. I found the place a bit dark and stuffy for me. Service was great! Will definitely come back

Amazing fish and chips. Cod and chips was lovely - not too oily. My in-laws enjoy plaice fish and it was delicious and cooked how we asked. Happy customers from Fleet.

Lunch time drop in for a small chip after the aroma up down street. Quick, easy, polite.

We decided to eat in the restaurant and it was a much better experience than take away. You get bread for the table, sides like a salad and you can also enjoy an alcoholic drink with your dinner. Highchairs we're available for our daughter and the service was fantastic by the waitress Skye.

Brilliant service, efficient and friendly. Food was beautiful, good portion and the fish was superb! Would highly recommend a visit lovely restautrant and atmosphere.

We have been to eat in the restaurant many times and always enjoy the food, atmosphere and Sarah always is welcoming and accomadating, especially with one of our group who uses wheelchair.

Went to silver sea the other night for a meal and food was amazing. Our server was Leila and she was very friendly and professional.

The food here is amazing! And all staff at front of house was extremely pleasant and attentive i would really recommend coming here lovely staff lovely atmosphere! And big thank you to Sarah she was very helpful towards my needs:)

Another lovely dinner amazing crispy cod and brilliant chips!! Staff always friendly and polite. Ordered through their app tonight arrived a few minutes early and they were just bagging up and the app was very quick and easy to use would recommend using it!!

We normally go here for takeaway cod and chips. Fish is always cooked to order and is the best we have found in the area. Chip portions are generous and are great to eat. Staff are friendly and efficient. The phone app makes it easy to order for a scheduled slot and save the wait whilst your order cooks.

Fish was lovely and fresh. Chips were nice too. Small portion of cod was tiny. For a bit more money ,it's worth going medium or large. My only complaint is that I thought you could sit in the restaurant only to be told that that has a separate menu( which costs a bit more) As it was my first time there, I didn't realise that and ordered at the takeaway counter. I then had no where to eat my fish and chips and had to sneak into Costa up the road to eat. There was no sign to say that its two different places.

I was recommended this store as the best food for quite some miles (we don't even live locally). It didn't disappoint. We'll definitely be back and won't buy elsewhere now. Sadly I wasn't acknowledged upon entering and was left waiting before anyone spoke to me, even then it wasn't a warm customer service but perhaps that was inexperience? Won't put me off, it'll probably be fine next time :)

I was working round the corner, so popped in for a takeaway. The wait was definitely worth it. Best chips I've had. Fantastic. The young girl was very polite who served me. Will definitely go back next time I'm working in Farnham.

Do not waste your time on a Friday evening. I popped in for a take away bag of chips at 7:20pm. After waiting for nearly 10 minutes amd the two servers had prepared two small orders in that time. I asked them to cancel my order and put my £3:20 into the charity box. Place was full of people waiting. Glacial speed. Shocking really, time to chat to customers and amongst themselves, but not serve at a reasonable pace. It’s Friday, it’s fish and chips, show some urgency. The whole time I was waiting, there was an enormous amount of cooked chips waiting to be served…. Go figure…

What a fantastic takeaway of fish and chips we had this evening. We were thinking of going out for a meal but instead we decided to go to Silversea for a takeaway. The shop was heaving, but it didn’t take long for our order to be cooked lovely and fresh just as we wanted The cooks were busy out the back. The people on the counter were really lovely and said your order should not be long in a very polite way. The people that were sat on the windowsill just waiting for their orders chatting away. Keep it up, Silver Sea of Downing Street, Farnham. Will definitely be back.

Richard and the whole team are a welcomed acquisition in Farnham. The quality of thier fish and chips is exceptional , expertly cooked and serving quality pies , what separates Silver Sea from all the others is the quality of the produce and its expert cooking. They have an attached restaurant too that also has an Alcohol license so enjoying a pint or a glass of wine with your meal is possible. Equally a good take away if you’re needing to get in and out , all the food is cooked fresh. If you haven’t tried them yet , please do Well done to Richard and the team 🙌🏻

(he is 76 years old, so that is a compliment!).. lovely & friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the shop. Would defiantly recommend and as a Farnham local this will be my go to Fish & Chip shop from now on! :)

I paid £3.20 for a standard portion of chips. The portion size was ridiculous..the smallest portion of chips I have ever bought!!!!

A Great Plaice to grab some fish and chips! They even have a restaurant out the back which was lovely and the service was top notch. The food was fresh and tasty, with great portions. They have all the regular sides like mushy peas and curry sauce. They also do Chicken burgers which were really good which come with those beautiful golden chips!

Has become our regular despite there being a different chip shop at the end of our road! Silver Sea is so much better - tonight's fish was excellent and the chips were the best I've had in bloody ages. Now, if we can just persuade them to have a gluten free batter option for my wife....

Very fresh cod. . Ruined by oil that was not hot enough so batter was so soaked in oil made it inedible. Removed the priced extra soaking beer batter to enjoy the fish. What a let down. My companions haddock seemed much better bigger and drier.

Went here with some friends a few days ago before uni as well as with my mum today. Both times I had great food, quick service, at a good price! It's just nice to have a fish and chip shop with a dine in option as many are just take away. Will definitely be coming again!

What a wonderful find this was in the centre of Farnham! I'd been searching for somewhere to eat in Farnham, then stumbled across this place, so thought I'd give it a go. So you walk through the takeaway area in the front to a nice dining area at the back. Here I was met by some lovely staff, who looked after me well. A nice touch is that a small plate of bread and tartar sauce is brought to the table - extras that you would pay for elsewhere. I ordered plaice, chips and peas, which were simply amazing. The batter was light and golden and the chips were cooked to perfection. The best fish & chips I had tasted for many a while. So an unexpected find for me, but just amazing. I just wish it was nearer to where I lived! Think they need to rename the place Gold Sea Farnham:-)

Absolutely superb traditional fish and chips. From the outside it looks like a takeaway fish and chippy, but turn left as you go in, wind your way down the long corridor to the back and you get to the restaurant proper. As you sit down you are greeted by bread and butter to get you going, or to save to make chip butties with. The menu covers everything you want in a fish and chippy. We normally go for some whitebait followed by fish, chips and mushy peas. Always cooked perfectly, fresh and tasty. Service is always impeccable, friendly and polite. Can't fault it. If you want a sit down fish and chips (or a takeaway too) in the Farnham area, this really is the place.

This fish and chips restaurant, is a little gem hidden in a corner of Farnham. It is good that many people don't know about it, that is so when I go there I can easily get a table. It is a shame that it doesn't get the trade it deserves. More fool the rest of you for not trying it, is all I say.

Immaculately clean. Spectacularly good fish. Top drawer service. I gree up near the sea and had never found anywhere that could provide that "taste the sea" freshness, until I went to Silver Sea. Daily varieties of potato are used for the chips and there is no mistake, the oil is always fresh and clean. Great to see a family run, traditional fish n chip shop. I happily travel 25 minutes to visit this takeaway and restaurant (there's a huge seated area at the rear). I can't recommend Silver Sea highly enough. Did I mention it is spotlessly clean!

Brilliant! We had a large order which we phoned in a few days before and they were really accommodating. The team had everything ready for when we got there to collect with no issues at all, and even thought to confirm the details on the day. The food was all hot and tasted great - thank you to everyone involved!!
