I visit the Fox and Finch on a regular basis for a few beers with friends and it is always excellent and friendly service. Recently my wife and I popped in for lunch for the first time and it was excellent. Hot, tasty and great value for money. Keep up the good work.

The service here is excellent, the staff are friendly, attentive and go above and beyond of what you'd expect of a high street pub. Great selection of beer and wines and Ethan makes an exceptional Gin Fizz.

Lovely pub with fantastic food and drinks options. Large garden and plenty of indoor seating as well. Frequently run quiz nights and other events, and some of the best service in town. Always a joy to try new items on the menu.

I ordered a cheeseburger and my mum had the beetroot salad. The dishes were tasty and the portions generous. Service was prompt. The staff are extremely friendly. Absolutely delighted

Nice friendly pub with pleasant, helpful staff and very comfortable seating. A good range of fizzy beer but the real ale options were dire. Only one on, out of three options, and all were very weak brews. We ordered chicken Kiev and fish and chips. The food was well cooked and tasty, however the Kiev, whilst moist, did not have the usual garlic butter seeping out, as you would expect. The fish and chips were advertised with mushy peas, curry sauce and tartare sauce. They came in the smallest dishes imaginable; I doubt if there was a teaspoon in each. I was offered more mushy peas, but the consistency and taste put me off, they were in some sort of thin liquid, not the normal mushy pea look. Portion size was on the small side and certainly overpriced. On presentation of the bill, we noticed a 12½% service charge, not mentioned anywhere else. When queried, we were told it was not obligatory but in such away that we felt obliged.

Food excellent. My husband said best burger he had had in as long as could remember and he basically always orders a burger! I had chicken Kyiv which was also very nice and clearly home made on a chicken breast (small but if bone still present) rather than the usual mushed offerings. My daughter has a fish allergy and her request for dinner had to be changed due to cooking methods as a result, but the requirement for the change was clearly communicated. Overall a good experience and would recommend the pub for friends or family meals.

Stopped by for pre-dinner drinks. Lovely place and nice atmosphere but I felt it was hugely expensive at £18.45 for a 250ml glass of Malbec and an orange juice with lemonade. Perhaps I’m just out of touch with bar prices these days 🤷‍♀️

I had booked this pub to watch the France Euros game as we had a French family come over the day before a wedding and was absolutely thrilled with the service and ambience of the place. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and it was a very chilled evening watching the game in a lovely beer garden. The food was great and the family all said they had a great evening...thank you!

I gave up after being ignored while the two staff, displaying as much enthusiasm as corpses, served four people who’d arrived after me. Small screens and poor sight lines make it a poor pub for watching the Euros, food ion first visit was ok but nothing too interesting.

The atmosphere inside was very nice and the food and drinks were tasty. We ordered the Sunday roast chicken which was good but seemed a bit small for a roast. Overall a good experience. Not many gluten free options.

Stopped in for a drink and bite to eat, Ethan the manager is just simply lovely, accomadating and friendly. Would definitely recommend 👌🏻

Great place in a nice town of Godalming

Been to this pub a few times and really like it. Good selection of beers and great food menu. The two lads behind the bar, Jake and Sam, were a good laugh and were lovely with our dog. The food we have had a few occasions and the manager Ethan always gave us good recommendations! Definitely worth visiting.

We stopped for a short break and a drink on our own way back home. We didn't try food. We enjoyed our visit.

There is always something about a team that smile, are focused on their customers needs and comforts. Clean toilets, clean tables! We thoroughly enjoy our time at the Fox and Finch!

Had a great time here. Staff were rally friendly and helpful, such a change form last time a few years ago.

Ethan and staff are very welcoming and it’s a venue we look forward to visiting. Super friendly and efficient! Would recommend to anyone! It reminds me of the pubs in London which I miss. Beautiful outside area and child friendly.

Sam was our waiter today, he was friendly and attentive. Nice outdoor space and music was good. Roasts were tasty.

Friendly staff, and a nice well looked after interior. Real ale selection was limited to two, but there was a wide selection of lagers.

Terrible service as per usual here. One person behind the bar and 4 people waiting, getting grumpy and I think 2 left…..

Such a lovely place for lunch, amazing service with incredible food. Won’t be disappointed. Felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout the time here.

Friendly town centre pub in good hands with good selection of beers on tap. The team work hard to build community and contacts. Real community builders. Garden area fun and accessible. Has got a classic feel good factor to it that many pubs have been lacking of late. Recommended for a quick evening drink before heading home.

Decent food and fast friendly service.

Visited on Friday 12th April 2024. Sat outside and had what can only be described as the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Highly recommend the place - great atmosphere and very reasonable prices

Lovely pub but unfortunately I think we just picked the wrong day to go in. We had the Camembert sharer to start which took 35 minutes to get to our table & it wasn’t great but we did eat it, for mains which unfortunately took another 30 mins to arrive which was the steak my husband did thoroughly enjoy it & was cooked just right, I thought I’d choose something different which was the garlic Kiev but unfortunately I was very disappointed with also the green beans were very greasy too so I didn’t eat them either however I did eat the chips & they respectfully took £10 off our bill. This was my Husband’s birthday lunch so luckily he did enjoy his steak.

Absolutely perfect place to have a birthday do! My best friend had hers and Ethan and the team went above and beyond. 10/10 cocktails, food and ambience.

Had a lovely lunch out. I had my 6 year old with me but she was kept busy with the amazing Kids Table. They had lots of craft bits out and some Easter themed crafts to do, fabulous idea and they were so lovely. Food and service was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed my lovely lunch out, brought my 7 year old girl who I looked after and she absolutely enjoyed the kids craft table today. She made car mask, easter bunnies with flower along with it. The girls who ran it were ever so kind and patient with the children and kept fully engaged with the children who came too

Has a classic toast for Easter Sunday. Great food, lovely and considerate staff. The Camembert with bread made in house was truly something special and I highly recommend it.

Always amazing service and such a great atmosphere

Good food with an interesting menu with options you wouldn’t usually see in a pub. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, we came on a Friday night bank holiday and there was a live singer who created a great atmosphere and engaged with the crowd. It was intimate and not rowdy.

We love the coming to the Fox & Finch! The staff are fantastic and Ethan is an outstanding manager! We ate from the new spring menu! Absolutely fantastic! So good! Looking forward to our next visit!

The Fox and Finch is by far our favourite pub in the town. The manager Ethan is always the friendliest host, with amazing attention to detail, and always remembers our drink of choice! The whole team make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. The food is absolutely stunning, our particular favourite being the lamb spring roll! Will be back soon to try the new menu.

Really proud to call this our local. Ethan, Sam and Jake are always very welcoming, the food and drinks are great and there is always a nice atmosphere, especially at the weekends! Would highly recommend stopping here. There's regularly some form of event and I'd definitely recommend the Quiz and Wing Wednesday!

Visited on a Friday night with my partner - always a pleasure in itself - and spent a lovely hour or two dining in this venue. I believe the pub has been refurbished in not too distant past. Decor consequently fine. Service easy going and efficient and food made and presented with reasonable care. Particular good word for the 'Dark chocolate mousse' ...rich and decadent, with coffee salt and honeycombe crumbs to add a depth of sweet. Fine. Will come again x

Tiny piece of fish on a giant bit of batter....chips greasy and over fried served with a watery mushy pea thing. Eaten here many times hopefully this was a one off.

As a family we just love this place, it has become our go to event venue. Ethan and the staff are so helpful and supportive, and they seem to breeze through large groups of which we are always one. The food is great too so it's a win win option.

Even though they were fully booked, the lovely chap behind the bar managed to fit me in. The food was excellent, staff very pleasant and polite. A tad pricey but was worth it.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time, massive, juicy, tasty and creative unlike many plain boring same old burgers out there. Couldn’t resist and also had the chicken wings and they were also delicious! Fantastic customer service, very lovely friendly staff! Beautiful decoration, good music, not too loud, just the perfect volume, very comfortable selection of seats options, which is very important specially when you’re tall like me. Will certainly return to try more food on the menu! Thank you!

Came here for Sunday lunch for the first time yesterday. Absolutely spot on. The hospitality was fantastic, beef roast, meat was so tender and tasty, atmosphere lovely. Really enjoyed our few hours here, it is well over and above the usual. Can't wait to go back!

Our go to spot when we fancy a pint or a Scott egg! We take our 6 month old too as they’ve got great baby changing facilities. Staff are so attentive and the food is great! We’ve also been with a group of 15 of us and they were just as attentive then. Great pub!

I booked my works Christmas Meal at the Fox and Finch for 36 people and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was smooth and efficient and the atmosphere was so enjoyable. Planning alongside Kate made it really easy! Thank you so much Kate, Ethan and the team for a wonderful evening. We look forward to coming again.

Came here for work Christmas dinner. There was around 30 of us and everything was amazing from the service to food. Always hard to with parties that size but was well delivered. Thank you for such a lovely evening 😊

Good food and excellent service! Had the squid for starter and seabass main dish, it was nicely made, the flavour was well balanced. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing!

Had booked this venue for a 60th birthday. Parking in adjacent street. Easy to find. Good location. Nice decor. Had board games for kids, which was great. The staff were very accommodating. Food was well presented. Great selection of nibbles for our buffet. Tasty arrangement. Manager was so nice. Have been before and will come again, as I live in London, the whole village is sweet and historical.

NICE. cosy pub. Watched England play quite good Football. Had a couple of cold Jack Daniels and enjoyed myself.... Back for Macedonia match! I am visibly disabled so the landlord(?) brought my delicious ice cold beer over to me. You only have to catch the barmans eye and he brings you another and puts it on tab. If Carlsberg did bars... !!

Lovely decor and atmosphere, but they have cross-contamination in the kitchen so allergy sufferers can't enjoy a cooked meal.

A beautiful pub with a cosy outdoor area, with cover and heaters. Wing Wednesday is a great concept and the food was simply mouth watering. Ethan has done an incredible job to turn this pub around! 100% recommend to anyone!

What a great find ! I was in the area and this caught my eye , the reviews were not wrong , Mac cheese croquettes to start and the short rib burger ! I mean yum , the staff were so lovely with the dogs too , will be back ❤️

I absolutely LOVE this pub. I’ve been vegan for over 15 years and I haven’t had a roast out that I enjoy - but the Sunday roast here is exceptional and has broken the streak. Bonus that the staff are super lovely, it’s dog friendly and the pub quiz on a Monday is excellent. Highly recommend!

We have been going to the Fox and Finch on Sundays as they have the amazing Kids Table there every week. Our 3.5 year old daughter absolutely loves it. Possibly the best invention ever, a free service provided by the pub where two lovely ladies run a series of crafty workshops suitable for ages 3+. We get to have a drink, eat the most amazing roast with friends while our daughter is happily occupied.

We are spoilt for choice with local watering holes but what keeps us coming back to this one is the friendly service, the good food, and most importantly for the family is the kids' craft table on Sundays. This means the whole family can have fun on a Sunday afternoon with the adults eating drinking and chatting, with the little ones crafting up a storm. If family or friends are visiting on a Sunday it's our go to. Thanks :) We'll be back soon.

Always feels a bit disorganised, glasses piled up on the end of the bar. Only one bitter on which tastes like sick, and even the larger tasted a little iffy (line cleaner / lines not flushed properly?) Shame as the decor and town centre location should make it an ace pub, but it just isn't.

Brilliant pub with lovely interior and outdoor seating areas (with heaters). Ethan is brilliant! Drinks and food very reasonably priced and of great quality. Always running great value promotional offers as well.
