Nice cocktails and staff are lovely but the playlist is rubbish and you can only choose off of it. Just pop music nothing worth playing lol

Cocktails unreal, such a huge range and good happy hour prices. I also like the concept, but we were there over an hour and our songs didn’t get played - you had to put in your table number, so it might be nice if they alternated between tables or something. They could also lean into the dukebox thing more I think. Staff were lovely, it was great to see the cocktails being made. Atmosphere wise the music was quite loud & it felt quite dark. But would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!

i love this bar so much, i always bring my friends here. debz is always a pleasure to be around and everyone behind the bar is the most delightful person to talk to. could not recommend this bar anymore than shouting it from the roof tops. you have to go !!!! - ryder

Great drinks, but don’t expect this jukebox bar to play your songs. The bar staff control this. Out of a large group over 4.5 hours none of the 20 songs were played on a quiet night.

Had a lovely time here tonight! Tom and Emelia specifically were amazing and so sweet, helped me get some food to the pub and poured some amazing drinks Thanks so much!

I really love the atmosphere in this bar and have been several times before. The bar staff are lovely and mostly so are the people surrounding you. The reason I haven't given this review 5 stars is because two of my friends and I were harassed and groped by three (much older) drunk men while sat in the garden part playing a board game and catching up. The bar is not at fault here but I do think perhaps keeping an eye on how drunk people are is perhaps necessary because I have never felt more uncomfortable in my life than I did with those men (we are Uni students aged 19 to 22 and they were in their 40s). Of course, the bar is brilliant and there are so many amazing drinks to choose from so I would recommend trying it! Their Halloween drinks were especially fun and the heaters in the garden provide a great space to chill in over all seasons.

Tried the American pie and tequila loca(?) Cocktails as part of the 2 for 1 offer. American pie was amazing, I could've drank it all night long. The tequila one wasn't my favourite especially after having such a sweet creamy drink beforehand, the presentation was pretty tho. The service was great too as always, there's table service that I didn't know about but I assume this is only when it's quieter.

As a student this place is amazing, to get the access to 2-4-1 on real great cocktails throughout the week in a bar that has such a nice ambience is amazing; getting the chance to suggest your own music as well as the great indoor and outdoor seating can't be beat. The staff here are always lovely and me and friends have spent many of each other's birthdays here. Highly recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU THINK IT IS A JUKEBOX!! It is not! Most of the time, the staff change the order of the songs so that the pop, most popular, House style music plays. I have been once with a group and none of our music played and we were there for 3 hours! JUST because it wasn’t a remix or trending. If you like that stuff it’s the place for you. If you think they are gunna play everyone’s music in order of submission- you are mistaken. Or maybe I just have terrible music taste.

Kaysha was such a lovely staff. Can’t believe how much so put into the service. 5 star all around . She was also so beautiful and she made the whole place light up and so exciting

This was the starting point for a pub crawl I did with friends that were visiting. Definitely a good vibe and the best feats are that you get 2x1 for cocktails and you get to choose the songs that come next!

Definitely coming back. Staff are great. Outside seating area was a pleasant surprise. Much more to this place than meets the eye!

We went to Shuffle after a meal for my birthday. The bar tenders were great and good fun. We managed to go on a night where it was 241 cocktails which was brilliant. The theme of the bar with you being able to pick the music was good but the selection itself was a bit limited but maybe it will expand? We had a few drinks here before heading off and would go back again :)

A great little Bar in Brighton where they let you choose the music via a WiFi connection. More suited to Cocktail drinkers as there's not a huge selection of Beers and Wine is only served in 125ml or 250ml measures, not the usual 175ml which was unusual. However, we enjoyed the atmosphere on our visit and would drop in again when local.

Always a trusty option for my friends and I to enjoy a tasty bev. - staff have always welcoming and lovely - great variety of drink choice and at reasonable prices, especially with Happy Hour - fun queue-your-own music system - tasty food from Meat Liquor brought to you through the app Only slight downside is that the beer garden has no natural light at all, it’s a bit like sitting in a large shed, but ultimately that’s not a dealbreaker for us!

Good atmosphere with use of jukebox. Happy hour menu is limited but does include main cocktails. Also food is great value for money. £5 student deal for burger and fries on a Saturday.

Un concept plutôt bien vu et des offres différentes chaque soir. On y était un mardi avec les cocktails 2 for 1 et l'offre était intéressante. Pouvoir choisir sa musique grâce à leur wifi et l'entendre passer plus tard est vraiment cool.

I booked an area at Shuffle for my birthday last weekend. Its a lovely little bar, great staff, lovely little outside area :) but I was disappointed with the music. I think there needs to be a lot more choice, its what brought me to your bar and it was actually the only thing that left my disappointed. Just thought I would give this constructive criticism as everything else was great :)

Didn’t even get to the bar as they want a £25 deposit to simply book a table for 4 people! Even the high end restaurants in Brighton don’t ask for money upfront to book a table, just card details in case you don’t show. When I said I was disappointed by this I got a string of rude messages back. Absolutely shocking and will never go there again after this experience

This is one of the worst bars in Brighton, firstly it is out of town, a friend invited me for early drinks, on arrival one of the waiters told me they were booked out and not taking any walk ins . the bar was 30% empty. they would not take orders if you do not use the scanning code. some of the staff were very rude. I recommend going to All Bar One. great ambiance and lovely staff. that was where we went after leaving this horrible bar.

After having a great time in shuffle a couple of years ago i thought id go back and try some of their amazing cocktails, unfortunately things have changed since i was last there. I politely asked if i could change one ingredient to a cocktail, to which the response was that it would taste disgusting, even though i have drank this cocktail 1000 times and have 10 years experience in making cocktails not forgetting I AM THE CUSTOMER. They also refused to shake it, saying the flavours were built up in the glass. This to me is a load of rubbish, if you are a cocktail bar (NOT BUSY AT ALL) you should be able to cater to the customers needs. Thoroughly disappointed, will not be returning. I left feeling belittled, disappointed and undermined as a customer. (Just to clarify, I am not a Karen, I am a 28 year old barman with plenty of experience, do not waste your money here) On a different note, the doorman is a legend.

Visited here not even one cocktail down and been told we have to leave after one drink as we wanted to sing!! A bar where apparently you can choose your own songs but get told off as soon as you want to have some fun would not recommend!! Very disappointed

Only visited Brighton for a few days but had to visit this place twice. The drinks are amazing and the staff are really friendly. The music is great and it was a good vibe even on Monday and Wednesday when I visited. Would highly recommend.

The drinks were great, and the service we couldn't fault. However the Jukebox element was lacking a little, as we picked a couple of songs - a variety of different artists/genres but only heard 1 of our choices in the whole time we were there, but from another group, we had about 7 ABBA songs. Now, I do love a bit of ABBA but I think the experience would be better if there was a limit to how many times an artist can be used. It seemed that the table next to us, of about 6 people got all their choices, and felt like there was no actual 'Shuffle' function on the system. As slots were timed, we couldn't just choose to stay longer to hear our choices. We also found the music, which was supposed to be the big attraction, was at a really low level, and we couldn't hear them well over the general bar noises. In the end, our visit ended up a bit disappointing. I've visited pubs that have the 'jukebox from your phone' function just as an added extra who've managed it better.

Absolutely awful experience here - booked tables for drinks, the bounce and manager did not allow us in as they said we’d booked our tables together and proceeded to lie to us that they’d looked at our Facebook profiles (despite the majority of us not having Facebook) and were incredibly rude to us. Do not book here, so many better places in Brighton that would want your business.

Booked tables for my friends hen do and was refused entry at the door. No reason given. Staff were incredibly rude.

We visited and couldn’t get a taxi so rang the bar and they said they would hold the table for 20 minutes. Got there 1 minute late and they said they’d already given the table away to people inside when we had this booked for months. The boy on the door was rude and wouldn’t even consider letting us in. The bar was empty and they could have easily put us in another table.

Came here as a group of 6 as our first bar of the night. An hour in, our table number disappeared from the app. We asked the manager why this was, and he said that he’s made the decision to stop serving us because ‘one of us is one away from being drunk’. We were all sober and it was our first drink of the night. He said that when someone on the table asked if she could have a little more lime in her drink, he took that as she’s too drunk. I asked the manager what happened as we felt quite insulted as this had never happened to us before. We’re not rowdy or rude, we stuck to the rules and had a sing song celebrating a birthday, he told us it was never about being loud or rowdy, okay what was it then? It was obvious the manager had no actual evidence of anything except it clearly being personal. He continued to get quite aggravated which just made the situation even more personal and awkward. We left feeling confused, and insulted and even other tables around us were extremely confused as to what happened. We won’t be back again as what happened was a bit embarrassing, and I feel that it is no way to treat customers.

We had booked shuffle bar as part of our plans for a girls weekend in Brighton. When we showed up, the very rude man at the door asked to see our ID (fine, all going well), he then asked what we had been doing that day. We’d explained we’d been to bottomless brunch a few hours previous and we down in Brighton for a girls weekend away. He then said we were all too drunk and couldn’t get in (we were tipsy at most at this point!). When I challenged him & asked him why we were too drunk & why he was refusing us entry, he said our speech was slow. We were fine, just not from Brighton and not all of us from England and so all have varied accents!! Absolutely disgustingly rude man, needs a course in customer service. We went to the Hobgoblin after and had a much better time! Wouldn’t waste your time.

It was our friends birthday and we asked to buy special cocktails or shots to do something nice and the women was rude and short with us. Also their service was slow and there was one women in particular that was dismissive and very rude

Why advertise that you can suffle songs but not sing-along? It’s 11 pm, people here are aware most people are substituting this as a night out during COVID. Okay drinks, likelihood of getting your song played is slim. Can only choose max 3 songs and they’re all from a pre prepared playlist.

The supervisor of Shuffle Brighton was so RUDE, we saw friends on a table apart form us on the way to the toilets and said Happy Birthday to her on the way and we got Kicked out of the bar?? The supervisors attitude was disgusting, we were wearing facemasks and stood more than 1m apart. If you are going to this bar prepare to literally be kicked out after 5 minutes from saying hello to friends on a table as you walk past.Awful attitude, and disrespectful.

What a great idea for a bar!!! Me and my partner visited Brighton for his birthday and this bar was the highlight of our time away for sure! We are really big into music and we loved the fact of picking the songs to listen to! Staff are so friendly and we’re really informative with their safety guidelines. We went on a Monday night and it was busy, definitely worth booking beforehand! Drinks were amazing, 2-4-1 is a great idea. I wish we had a Shuffle Jukebox bar near us!!!

Cocktail bar that is happy to take your money for cocktails but if there is any sign that your getting a bit squiffy then your thrown out!!! Bar staff is so rude! Friend pushed down the stairs by a guy that is young enough to be a grandchild!!! (The Manager) Been coming here for years but never again! No better bar to do that than Shuffle - from its cocktails to its atmosphere and super friendly staff, it’s just always a great night here.We had cocktails from the Specials board as well as from the venue, and they were all brilliant and really good value for money! Will deffo keep coming back for sure!

Came here the other day after being recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint! The cocktails were made really well and the staff there make a real effort with their customers, so it has a great independent feel. Loved the fact we could control the music - we ended up staying there all night as the tunes were so good! A great night out with really good value for money, we’ll be back!

As a Brighton resident I think that the Shuffle music concept is brilliant, having control over the music makes you feel like you are on your sofa. Great drinks and lively staff. Try to come on Wednesdays, when every cocktail is 2 for 1.

Mis 2 amigas fueron juntas al baño (como ustedes son niñas para sentirse seguras ...). Cuando vuelven a la mesa, el "gorila" se acerca y nos dicen que ya no nos servirán más, ya que, en sus palabras, "habían ido al baño a olfatear". ? ? Luego, la señora del bar se acerca y nos dice que ya no nos van a servir porque el "gorila" le dijo que los había escuchado decir que habían tomado cocaína. . . ¡jaja! 2 historias diferentes. . . He estado aquí dos veces desde que los menús han cambiado y me ha decepcionado y me siento como que malgasté mi dinero cada vez. 8/9 para un cóctel es justo, pero no cuando los sabores no están equilibrados y no tiene un sabor tan bueno como muchos otros bares de cócteles en Brighton. Tomé un martini expreso, por ejemplo, y es lo peor que he comido (especialmente cuando pude ver a los camareros subirse y estimar falsamente su velocidad). Realmente espero que este lugar llegue y se resuelva, ya que solía traer a todos mis amigos aquí todo el tiempo y ahora no había estado en semanas.

This is one of my fav bars the drinks are amazing and they have amazing passion fruit daiquiri. I enjoy the atmosphere and it’s very quirky.

Went here at the weekend with a group of friends. Called a few weeks before and the staff were great in reserving us a space. We had a great evening, cocktails were amazing especially the Pornstar Martini!

Doorman insisted on the door being open despite the fact that everyone sat near the door were wearing their jackets. Very nice drink but left after one because too cold.

I went to shuffle with 2 girlfriends whilst on a long weekend get away. It was our first visit and chose it simply after reading other reviews on here and we wasn't disappointed! The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was great. We made the most out the 2-4-1 during happy 'hour' and tried several cocktails which were all amazing - probably to amazing as it made you want to try them all!! We sat in the garden area which was really nice as it covered and has individual heaters for each little booth so kept you nice and warm whilst you decided which cocktail to have next.Unfortunately we didn't try out the juke box as we were to busy chatting and drinking. Thanks Shuffle stuff we'll defiantly come back!!

Visited here on a Saturday evening during happy hour (5-7pm, doubly happy!!) Good selection of cocktails on the menu, very nicely split into sections based on the main alcohol (vodka selection/gin selection etc). Making the most of the 2-4-1 offer we ended up with 6 cocktails each!!! Personal favourites included the mango mojito and hurricane. The bar staff were fab! My partner wasn't sure what to order and the bar maid was more than happy to cobble something together for us- ended up being a strawberry and gin concoction which was delicious!!!! The jukebox idea is novel, would love to visit again

This has to be one of the nicest cocktail bars in Brighton. Great bar, with a heated garden and lovely atmosphere inside and out. They do close a bit early (11pm) compared to other places on a weekday which is a shame.You can also pick your own songs for free which is a really great concept. That said, their digital jukebox needs more choices.Most importantly though, the cocktails taste amazing and the staff are lovely. They clearly know their menu inside out and are always happy to recommend. Thanks to Becca for making our visit here so great.We will be coming back again and again. Finally, it's usually 2 for 1 which makes it great value too. Hope we get a chance to try all of their drinks one day!

The staff are so welcoming and friendly - offering help in choosing from their extensive list! Also they have a digital juke box allowing you to choose music using your phone! Several evenings they do 2 for 1 and also have a range of snacks! Even though we are an "older couple" we felt at home!!

Love the idea that the customers chose the music via the app. Although we weren't around by the time our chosen songs were played as we then moved to another bar it would be a great idea for larger parties looking to stay the duration. Will certainly be back.

The deco of this place is amazing, nice wooden tables and good size garden with seats and heating. Nice selection of cocktails and good classic songs on jukebox. Cocktails are good value for money.

The 241 cocktail deal and the great smoking area outback is what makes this place. Without those two elements it would be average. The only bad thing is sometimes staff seemed to get a bit overwhelmed, try to do too many things at once and start making mistakes.

Great drinks try the breakfast martini. lovely staff and very unpacked. Good prices 2 drinks for 11 pounds. Close to the duke of Yorks cinema.

My husband and I were in Brighton for the weekend and had met up with my brother in law and fiancée on the Saturday. We came here for a few after dinner drinks as it was recommended by the waiter in Breeze brasserie where we had just eaten. We were all impressed by the place. Great choice of cocktails and wine and other drinks. The concept was interesting also, choosing your own songs to be played on the digital jukebox by logging on to their wifi and website. Friendly staff also. I would definitely visit here again when in the area.

I had an average night at shuffle. As other reviews have noted, there are many small tables for two, but the music is too loud - simultaneously trying to be a cafe and a club and achieving neither. The drinks are average by Brighton standards, nice selection but many are too sweet, watered down or have too much ice. The barman was pretty rude - he barely said a word, made drinks without care and only seemed interested in the girls next to me. My friends on a separate occasion were also chastised by him over their choice of drinks. I'd advise taking your business elsewhere, there are many other great cocktail bars in Brighton.
