Shotton Head Chef Cafe in Flintshire

I visited the 'Head chef' today for the first time . I had a medium breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. The staff are very nice, and so was the setting. I Live locally and hope to visit this place many times in the future. By far the best in Shotton.

We both had the Full English Breakfast & it was great! Really tasty & cooked perfectly. Good value, very clean establishment & very polite, friendly staff. ... Would definitely recommend 👌

We we’re passing through going to the Wirral, only had a drink and toast each but the food looks great especially the breakfast, nice people who own/run the business too, polite staff and clean place, next time we’ll have food. 👍

We go regularly as the food is amazing, it is clean and the staff are so friendly, I like my eggs pretty much cooked within an inch of its life so when I order they always remember and start laughing saying "burnt egg" . If you want an all round enjoyable eating experience then this is definitely the place to go

This one place where you are valued and respected. This is a family business that works well, a family working for the family. Great to see in the times that we are in.

So much choice and variety and always well cooked and prepared, pricing is ok and service also ok. probably the best breakfast around the quay area.

Family breakfast on a Sunday it was quiet in there, they have a number of size breakfasts to suit how hungry you are and we have 3 different sizes they all came hot and not full of grease which you can get in some places really enjoyed it also recommend the cappuccino and no complaints about the service either as they were very friendly helpful so i will certainly go back

Called at lunch time, didn't fancy my usual full english. So had a jacket spud with cheese & salad. I've never been asked if I want chips with a jackets spud before though. The Salad was fresh, potatoe was nicely cooked.

I visit on the odd occasion & its always busy which means to me its popular & food is fresh. Good selection of breakfasts, lunches, snack & drinks. Good value too. Clean, tidy & great staff.

Our usual venue was closed so our group visited the cafe today !! Very enjoyable ! Coffee & food good !! Very polite staff !! Very enjoyable 😀

Recently visited with my sister, her two children and had my mum meet us there. Upon ordering all was fine, my sister opted for the cheese toastie. This was served as grated cheese between two pieces of toast... she took it and asked if she could have it melted for the owner to start ranting, saying how she should have asked for it melted and that she would be charged extra!!!! he went into a full scale brawl in the middle of the restaurant with her children witnessing the whole thing!!! even his staff apologised on his behalf as clearly he was the one in the wrong, we will NOT be returning!!

Popped in here for some breakfast at the weekend, it was very busy which was a good sign we thought, ordered two breakfasts, did have too wait quite a while for our food as they were busy and seem to have only a small cooking area, staff were very pleasant and when the food did arrive it was very good. Only a couple of niggles, cafe was cold as the door was constantly being opened and closed but there's nothing they can do about that, also the young waiter brought the toast out 20 minutes before the actual breakfasts so it was stone cold by the time we ate it, from looking around this seemed to be what he was doing for everyone's.

Plenty to choice from in this clean, friendly cafe with cheaply priced food on offer. As for the food, can't complain about the price. Tea comes served white and in a mug - must remember to ask for black tea next time. Might have got an extra point if tea served in pot etc

Love it! Affordable, delicious, satisfying portions, attentive staff. Always my favourite place for breakfast. Can't recommend it highly enough 😋

very down hill it has gone it went under new management and since then it's dreadful. it used to be lovely food good company now it's awkward atmosphere the food it's microwaved and very overpriced miss the old owners Jimmy and his brother :(

Como siempre. Esta cafetería es tan bueno. El gerente y el personal es muy amable y muy amable y hará lo posible por ayudarte. La tortilla que pedí era enorme y muy sabroso y con un café estaba satisfecha con la relación calidad precio. Me vaya de compras a shotton cada pocos meses y yo siempre comer en esta cafetería, ya que es el mejor de la zona.

We visited this place again today because it's totally clean and the best breakfast around. The menu is a little bit strange because they do set breakfasts, but they happily adapted them to suit our individual tastes, without extra cost. Upon arrival we received a genuine warm and friendly greeting, offered a newspaper and told it was a pleasure to see us. The order was taken within 1 minute of arrival because they remembered that we know what we like, drinks arrived within 1 minute, and two large, non greasy breakfasts with loads of toast and really fresh eggs were ready in less than 5 minutes, the bacon was really well trimmed and we didn't have a scrap of waste between us, the standards and quality are second to none. I would highly commend this fab little cafe because it is excellent every time we go. Thanks head chef.

I will NEVER go here again!!!The Guy who Owns it or is The Manager,is so false and so rude, the chefs dont understand english, the meals are very overpriced and for every little extra (gravy,etc) they are all extra charge! I asked for extra portion of roast potatoes and got 2 small potatoes and got charged £1.30 extra on top of my £6.75 roast meal, All the main dinners are frozen and microwaved. and none of us know how long it has all been in the freezer. myself and family have tried different foods from here and later on that evening we have all been ill,

Great food. Very friendly staff and owner. Can't do enough for you. Great value for money. Very clean.

Have regular takeaways and always great. Eaten in once and fantastic breakfast . Great value. Fast & attentive service, better than wetherspoons over the road.

Local businesses support each other. Let me tell you a story...drinks and food were ordered as can be seen on the receipt in the photo. When the drinks and food come across the mc-0 wasn't with the order but as you can in the pic it was ordered. We rang to ask for the drink and when the owner brought the drink across he immediately asked for a pen and paper shown us that we weren't charged but told us with attitude and pointing hard at the piece of paper. He was then told that the way he spoke to us was out of order never queried the fact we hadn't paid just that drink had not been sent. He was told that we didn't like his attitude and his response was I don't care, we said we put near 150 a week across your counter his response was I don't care how much you give me I make 25k a month in my other businesses. We said we are loyal to you I don't care if you are loyal. Customer services is needed when in business we shall no longer be using headchef.

Friendly and helpful service as soon as we walked in.We were delayed at the nearby railway station so had time to kill.Bacon and egg toastie was delicious and the owner(?) made sure our coffees were made exactly to order. Brilliant !!

Probably been over 20 times now. That says it all really. Décor is a bit dated maybe. Maybe could do with a more 'homely' look but we wouldn't want it to attract too many people as we might not get a table. Happy to add another excellent to the 5.

Mmmmmmm best breakfast n you can customize it. Lovely cappuccino. The.best cafe n lovely friendly staff. No 1 cafe. Top notch x

We have been loads of times. Good portions.. hot..good price..fast service.. Clean except toilet wasn't too clean on our last visit.

Spotlessly clean cafe, two chefs, waitress and the boss made this a real treat on a freezing lunchtime. All prepped to order. Beats all the competition hands down.

This is a great little place. I've been about 5 times now and always had a great experience. It's competitively priced and the food is cooked very quickly and well. Love it. The manager is friendly too and always comes over to ask how you are etc. Give it a try for yourself.

I often visit as never do i have a problem.This establishment is warm and friendly, gorgeous food (best brecky in Shotton!!!!) good value for money.Take a visit you wont be disappointed!!!
