Vegan ramen was superb! Wonderful, friendly and prompt service too, even in the busy lunchtime hour. Highly recommend!

Food is amazing as always. However, occasionally, there is a waft of smell from the toilet, so it was difficult to fully enjoy the experience.

It was the perfect weather this weekend to grab a hot bowl of ramen! So we decided to head to Shoryu for dinner, it’s top 3 for ramen in London when you google it so it was an easy decision. We ordered the classic ramen bowls , one of them being the richer/meaty broth option. Both of them were very well seasoned and portions sizes were pretty decent too. Service was on the spot too and we didn’t have to wait long. Only disappoint was the quantity of meat in our ramen, I’d say it was rather lean/small serving size for the meat as we literally got only 3 lean pieces of pork, which was disappointing considering you pay almost £16 each for a bowl. Besides that it was very tasty and we loved the experience.

I love Ramen from here, Kotteri Hakata Tonkotsu tastes delicious and is very filling. I really like their Dirty Lychee cocktail too.

This is my first time writing a Google review, and it was really that delicious... ㅠㅠ I had a vague amount of time left before going to the airport, so I was really worried about whether I should go or not, so I made an open run. In the end, I enjoyed the meal very much and arrived at the airport safely, so I ended my trip to London well. I had the signature ramen and it was really delicious. I don't usually eat a lot, but I guess it was because I was hungry or because it was delicious! It wasn't enough! The chashu is also really delicious… It was the best…

Wow! Once you had tasted the Shoryu Tonkotsu Ramen Soup, it will bring you as if you were really being in Japanese! It is the genuine Japanese cuisine, must place to go ! Bon appetite!

Very nice little restaurant. They accepted us even 5 minutes before closing. The service was very fast and the staff friendly. The ramen and chicken yakitori skewers were delicious. The restaurant is popular, book in advance.

Delicious ramen. Takoyaki starter very good too. We always go when we are in visiting London and are in the Piccadilly area. Service is very good and efficient. The restaurant is airy and clean and the seating is comfortable w outdoor dining also.

Sumita was brilliant - great service and a credit to the establishment. Staff all round generally seemed competent, friendly, polite and on the ball - well done to the management. Dropped a star as unfortunately the ramen stock was rather salty - too salty - and drowned out the bone broth flavours.

1. Flavor and Authenticity: Originally, I was going to order the Tonkotsu Ramen but I ended ordering the Katteri Kakata which was supposed to be much more fuller in body, however, another ramen dish outside of Japan that was lacking the creamy richness typical of a proper tonkotsu soup base. Authentic tonkotsu ramen is celebrated for its deep, umami-rich broth that comes from hours of simmering pork bones. Overall, it had a watered down taste with the notes of the pork falling extremely flat. 2. Customer Service: Subpar customer service can amplify dissatisfaction, especially when expectations are set high based on prior experiences. Attentiveness and politeness are hallmarks of Japanese service culture, which might not be as strictly upheld in other locations. The first waitress seems to not want to be bothered by us when we came in after telling her our situation. 3. Value for Price: Overpriced, mediocre ramen is understandably frustrating, particularly when you know how affordable and delicious authentic ramen can be in Japan.

Very disappointing. We both ordered hard-texture noodles, and they arrived softer than even normal - no bite whatsoever. I ordered the Kotteri Tonkotsu Ramen, which is supposed to be extra-thick in consistency. The broth was barely of normal Tonkotsu thickness. See the video for evidence of how thin it was. One server was friendly, the other had more smiles for her colleagues than she did customers. The namesake of the brand doesn't mean much when they've expanded to so many outlets that quality has understandably suffered.

Great ramen in a nice atmosphere. We were here on a Monday and took advantage of the bun promotion. Is a clear recommendation, both the buns, the ramen and the curry were very good. In the evening a reservation is an advantage.

Vengo spesso a Londra e capita spesso e volentieri che cerchiamo Posti dove mangiare Ramen, devo devo dire che il locale è piccolino e non particolarmente invitante ma per quello che riguarda la cucina ho mangiato dei buonissimi Gyoza poro e un Ramen più che ottimo. J'ai pris le ramen signature dans sa version "généreuse". Les algues étaient assez fatiguées, le bouillon manqué de punch et les œufs étaient plus près des oeufs durs que mollet. On a le choix de la cuisson des pâtes : standard, dur, très dur et "on trempe dans l'eau et on ressort". J'ai choisi "très dur" et au final je qualifierai la cuisson de "juste trempé dans l'eau chaude" car les pattes n'étaient pas dures mais plutôt pas cuites. Les gyoza en entrée étaient corrects.

Fantastic ramen restaurant in the heart of London. We tried the takoyakis, ramen and matcha and mango mochis. Everything was great and the waiters were very attentive! 100% recommendable

The food was great, but we found fungus growing in one of the piripiri dispensers, and that made us dobtful of hygene standards followed. Only one staff member was apologetic about the fungus/ mold, but the restaurant did not compensate for it in any way. Furthermore, when we asked to remove optional service charges due to our experience, we were asked, "Why?". Customer service was not up to the mark.

One lovely 🙌Monday, I was walking 🏃‍♀️through London, the weather was cold, I wanted a soup, I remembered that some time ago I had a soup in a Japanese restaurant that had very crispy fried chicken inside. So let's look👀 for the place Shoryu. I found it🙏💖😊And I was very happy. Satomi served me very kindly, I enjoyed my soup so much, then as I love macha, topped with a Matcha Ice Cream and a delicious coffee. I return to this restaurant many more times and recommend. They will go out with their happy belly. Recommend 👍😉😊

After telling the waiter that I had a gluten intolerance, he replied the only thing I could order then was plain rice. And as I was out with friends, that's what I ate. Welcome to the 18th century. Try wagamama, they get it.

Nice quick spot to have lunch or dinner. The handmade noodles are delicious, the ramen with chicken broth is amazing and the takoyaki balls are top!

Taste is mediocre, soup broth is served lukewarm and the Filipino staff seems more interested in chatting amongst themselves than taking notice who needs their services. Had very good service to another Filipino customer instead.

The staff was really nice and thorough with allergens. It's reasonably priced for being in the middle of London. I strongly recommend their curry. We had a fantastic experience here. Clean toilet.

Never had a chicken curry in my life, and this gave me a very good impression, we had to wait 15 minutes for the table because there aren't many seats (but not few either).

We're split on the food and my wife noted the service has its issues before we even got inside. The hostess took good care of us. Wish she had been our server too. We did get our drinks in reasonable time, but only a water glass for one. People who sat after us ate their entire meal before we got our ramen. They forgot about our appetizers. Perhaps this was because they were out of one of the buns. It would have been nice if they had told us. Once the food did arrive, I didn't think my ramen, either the noodles or the broth, were top. I've had richer versions elsewhere with noodles that paired better. Same story with the buns, not quite full, not quite bursting with flavor. The tempura brussel sprouts, however, were great, salt and pepper, cooked just right. Maybe we'll have a better experience at a different location? .

Very delicious ramen. It may feel a little salty, but it suits my taste really well. The store is not big, but the surrounding area is quiet, which is nice.

Update 2024 4/5* Great to see changes in the menu that cater to more people Original 2022 1/5* As a vegetarian I would rate it a 1/10. Only one option which is vegan ( no vegetarian options available) and the one that there is is completely tasteless. Bone Daddies is lots of steps ahead of the game

The tonkatsu broth is full, creamy and so delicious! I like that you can request the firmness of your noodles. We were a group of 6, and like most ramen spots, this restaurant was not very big. Reservations are highly recommended. I enjoyed the food so much I came back a second time!

Food was good! Tasty ramen but as a vegetarian the tofu was a bit bland in both the bao and the ramen I had. I did have high expectations as I had heard lots of good things so was slightly disappointed but my meat eating friends thoroughly enjoyed their food. Staff were great and nice atmosphere!

The miso ramen felt like noodles in miso soup.

worst service 1. I entered the store and they didn’t say hello even after seeing me. The store wasn't busy and there were plenty of seats available. I made eye contact, but he didn't say hello or respond, so I stood at the entrance of the store for a long time. A female employee wearing glasses and tying her hair up. 2. Order half ramen and beer. A male employee takes the order and says half? He asked back, and I said half twice. The beer came out and it was bigger than I expected. I tried to call the staff because something was strange, but they never looked in my direction. So I gave up and just drank it. When I looked at the receipt later, it was true that it came in a large size. When I checked out, I told them I had ordered half. “But you already ate it,” he said. It was what I ate and I had no intention of refunding it, but the store didn't even apologize for ordering the wrong thing. A female employee wearing glasses and tying her hair. The most annoying thing is receiving service tips! 2. How many pounds! Do you get paid for providing this kind of service? If you want to refresh yourself while traveling in the UK, go here. Honestly, all I can think of is racism against Asians. I watched and saw that other local people don't behave this way haha. Should I come here to spend money and be treated like this? I read the review and it says it's a Michelin restaurant, so it looks like it's really easy to get a London Michelin~!

It was a cold day. We wanted to have something to warm us up. We decided to go for ramen without reservation. There was a sign outside of the door asking people to wait here. One person was already there when we arrived. But the waiters never looked outside even when they came really close to the door. Some leaving customers advices us not to wait outside as they never open the door! Our food was good but we didn’t feel the restaurant was clean. The bathroom was smelly. No wonder the table next to the bathroom was empty! It’s ok for a quick meal but I don’t positively feel like going there again.

Best ramen ever. I love ramen and I have eaten it in more than 50 restaurants. This was fantastic. Rich pork broth perfectly cooked noodles and the pork belly was soft and delicious.

Discovered by chance and absolutely recommended. Delicious. Polite service. My English wasn't the best, but the waitress really took her time, which helped. 👍 The price is normal. No more expensive than in Germany, for example. The ramen was very good, the gyoza, takoyaki and karaage were really very good. Definitely worth a culinary try! The selection was very good and there was also a menu for children.

One of those places which is a "find" it's in the tatty end of Picadilly, it doesn't look very smart, more a cafe. But the food. Wow. Amazing.

Delicious food, excellent service and easy booking experience (we had 7 people and they still managed to accommodate almost last minute upscale to 13 via phone). Highly recommended. If you like spicy go for the Karaka Tan Tan Tonkotsu and add extra peri peri sauce. Special thanks to the staff who are all very nice and very responsive

The food was good. The place is relatively small but quite cozy. Make reservation in advance unless you want to be seated outside or at a table really close to the door. Also it is suitable if you are eating solo! Bring your book and enjoy your ramen!

We went here because we’ve been to the other locations and love the food and the service. The food was good as always but the service was horrible.. we tried several times to get a waiter to come to our table to order dessert and take our plates and we waited about 30 minutes. Same thing when getting our bill, we made eye contact with the waiters and I asked for the bill three times before someone came over. Would recommend going to a different location

I had dinner at this restaurant on March 5, 2024. During dinner I was robbed of my wallet (video attached) and the only concern of the staff was to not have us call the police by having them arrive in the restaurant. Even dinner was not offered to me after I had no means to pay for it.Apart from this "little thing", the food is really good and if it hadn't been for this episode I would have given it 5 stars.

Really flavorful ramen! We went to get the Final Fantasy event set menu and loved our dishes! We got the dirty lichee cocktail, which was better than we thought I’d be, the tonkotsu ramen, which was creamy and felt so satisfying on a cold day. For desert we got the ice cream, since they were out of mochi unfortunately. Staff were also friendly!

We love this place and their ramen! It's usually very busy and centrally located, so be prepared to wait in line, but it's definitely worth it. Their specialty ramen is super delicious and very thick - a must-try for ramen lovers. The unique tradition of greeting new customers with a drum hit and a phrase in Japanese adds a charming touch, though, unfortunately, we didn't experience this personally despite our inquiries, which was a bit disappointing. Because of this, I'm rating the service 4 stars. Still, I highly recommend the food and overall experience!"

I went today with my kids. When we get to the door , a male staff member was talking to someone and thought he would talk to us after. Instead he finished his conversation with the other guy and went inside closing the door behind. We were waiting , nobody was bothered to attend us. So we went in , still the staff members were chatting to each other as if we don’t exist. I tried to catch their eyes and finally a female staff came with full of negative attitude. She didn’t even ask if we had booked a table. She was telling us that it’s busy and the only place available was out side. We said that’s fine. Then she went on saying, it’s going to rain soon. We said that’s okay. Then she just ignored that and said today is busy , mind you other people were sitting outside. I asked her how long do we have to wait for a table roughly. She kept her negative attitude, telling us she doesn’t know and she doesn’t think it’s possible today. She basically wanted to get rid of us. I believe the other staff member who closed the door on us first told her to say no as well as I saw him saying something to her before she approached us. They are very rude and I think racist as well. Will never go to that place again. I went there for my daughter as she has been there with family friend before. We were humiliated.

Rude staff (Giorgia, Isha & Roger). Please retrain staff on customer service. Demanded for table back after 20 minutes because it was reserved. Were ignored for awhile and had to go up to the counter to let them know that we wanted to order. Had to wait 15 minutes (were told it would take 7-8 minutes) for the food to arrive then only had 5 minutes to eat £50 worth of food until the bill was shoved into our face and we were told to pay up and leave. Had two 4 year olds and ordered the kids menu with 3 courses and staff were extremely defensive when we told them that we had barely touched our food and hadn’t even had our deserts yet. Staff blamed us saying that we had to tell them in advance to ask them to bring our deserts and it was not their fault that we hadn’t had the desert yet. (Of course - we had barely eaten our mains!) Staff told us that we had to leave and suggested that we stood to the side for our kids to quickly finish their ice creams. Isha was stressed and got annoyed when we asked to pay separately for the bill as we were 2 different families. Asked for a takeaway box from the manager (Giorgia) as we had tons of food still left to eat but was only given a plastic cup which they serve beer in?!? We had to ask again for a proper food container with a lid. Staff were clearing our plates before we had even finished eating. The manager (Giorgia) was just as rude and kept interrupting and blaming us when we complained. A large group of people finished their food quickly and left so there were empty tables but we were still forced to leave. There were a lot of staff but a lot of them seemed stressed and lacked basic customer service skills. Not kid friendly! Shame as I’ve been to Shoryu multiple times in other branches. Just avoid the Regent street branch.
