Amazing place if you truly enjoy Sushi. Great food at extremely fair prices. With the closures of a popular chain, I was looking for a conveyor belt experience and this was it! Food being freshly prepared in front of you. This place is amazing. Great selection and a menu if you want something different too.

This is my “go-to” place for authentic, tasty and very reasonably priced sushi.

Kulu kulu doesn't skimp on their fish. When a tuna roll, rolls up, rest assured it's going to be loaded with it. Prices might be on the high side but your getting your money's worth on quality and quantity. They don't accept reservations so you might want to come early to find a seat.

I was expecting real authentic Japanese sushi with Japanese Chefs. Sadly it wasn’t and the taste is kinda westernised. Having said that, taste is acceptable considering the value. Big portion. If you really miss sushi with conveyor belt, it is worth trying. But it’s nothing close to sushi u have in Japan, sorry.

Food was very nice and of course you can't go wrong with the service as it is a conveyer sushi restaurant so you can basically choose what you want at any given time, atmosphere was alright nothing really special. Overall great food and experience.

I have always enjoyed Kulu Kulu as a reliable, conveyor belt style sushi place. The dishes have not changed through the years. That's not a bad thing - it's great because you know exactly what you're going to get. The only downside is that the price has increased quite a lot in recent months making it less good value than before but I would still opt to come here over other conveyor-belt sushi establishments

The staff were excellent about my Peanut, Nut and Sesamme allergy. Obviously going to a Sushi restaurant I was abit hestiant. But fear not! They were great, and the food was great too.

Superb polite staff.. Superb chefs.. Superb delicious sushi and more.. We spent 40 GBP per person, but it is just because we ate lots of dishes. :)) Otherwise, it isn't an expensive place to have delicious sushi.

I was going to give Kulu Kulu 4 stars… then I saw that the only cold sake they have is made in the UAE?! What’s that about?? But to be nice I kept my rating at 4. Very disappointed with the sake selection. We didn’t wait at all for 2 seats on a Thursday around 12:30. Confused as to why the same dishes sometimes came through covered, sometimes uncovered. Some of the warm items were cold. The Aubergine are way too sweet. There’s no napkins, just tissues. The size of the maki/uramaki pieces are monstrous, too big to enjoy in one bite and fall apart if you try to enjoy in two bites. Friendly and quick service. Would not return, but based on other reviews, looks like one of the top 3 options for conveyor belt type restaurant in SoHo, Marylebone and Mayfair.

Went yesterday for lunch, it was my birthday. The quality of the food was simply outstanding. Delicious, fresh, authentic. Best Japanese ever found in London. Price was excellent considering location. Staff was nice and very discrete. I will be back for sure

Very very happy can eat sushi here. The sushi is fresh (i talk about the real sushi like nigiri and sashimi). I don't try the fried food but i think it's good because it smell good to. The salmon sashimi is amazing. Happy to be here

This is an excellent restaurant all round. Fun conveyor belt, amazingly welcoming and helpful staff, reasonable prices for excellent food. I'll definitely be back.

A love this place. I have been coming here for over 25 years. Whether dining alone or with a friend it is convenient and tasty and I love the aubergine… gone on try it.

Tout est très bon et assez copieux. On pourrait avoir peur de se faire car les prix varient en fonction de la couleur des assiettes, mais au final même avec une grosse pile d'assiettes en fin de repas le prix est convenable. 130 livres à 4 pour des sushis et autres plats japonnais de qualité ce n'est pas excessifs quand on voit le prix dans d'autres restaurants Londoniens. A faire et à refaire , bonne expérience bon resto, je recommande.

Go here all the time, with family, solo, with my significant other. The place never lets down, large portions, amazing quality, fast service, kind and friendly staff. I highly suggest it.

Nori has changed! Visited today and the seaweed wrapper has changed to a deeply unpleasant cheap chewy brand… tastes awful. I’ve been coming for a long time but this is enough to stop my visits going forward. Please Kulu Kulu change it back 😭

Kul och gott! Varje tallrik hade ett specifikt mönster och varje mönstrad tallrik kostade olika. Tips, va inte för snabb att plocka på dig, dom gör olika rätter hela tiden så när man va mätt kom det nya vilket va lite synd. Svårt att få bord, det är väldigt populärt ställe. Går ej att förboka

Relaxed dining experience - conveyor belt sushi. Size of the 🍣's are slightly larger than normal but they still taste great. I especially love the soft shell crab roll which is fantastic. Probably spend about £25-£30 per person for lunch.

Ce faisait un moment que nous n'étions pas aller manger chez Kulu Kulu. Nous avons eu la joie de voir que cela n'avait pas changé et que les plats etaient toujours aussi bons.

Qualité très correcte et fonctionnement parfait, je recommande particulièrement le tofu frit ou les aubergines miso sans oublier glace matcha à tomber.

The best freshly made sushi as always. I use to go to the old location and I love the new location too.

My girlfriend introduced me to this place as she had gone there with friends a few weeks before that. I thought the food was delicious and ready made available to be picked straight off the conveyor belt (Im sure there's another name for it but can't think of it right now) .. Staff were helpfull and made us feel welcome. Would deffinetly come back with my friends another time

They reduced the portion size of food, it is much smaller and the price is the same, anyway it was expensive before now is just insane...

Literally quick sit eat your sushi and leave place. I went by myself which I thought was perfect but not sure how stressful it can be trying to find a seat at the bar with other people.

Once you’ve eaten here you’ll want to come back again and again. My wife and I have been coming back for years, ever since we stumbled upon it. By the time they open at 12:00 the bar is almost full so be prepared to wait. This is a local sushi bar not a high end fine dining restaurant. Expect nice staff, good food and somewhere to enjoy it away from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly Circus, just a stones throw away. Compared to the high street sushi bars, well, there is no comparison. The sushi is bigger, better and you’ll spend less here.

I've been going here since 2003 and it's still £ for £ one of the best sushi places you can go, especially in central London. They'll make anything you want fresh os don't worry about the conveyor belt if something looks like it's been doing the rounds too long! Super friendly staff, if you go make sure to order the crab hand roll, tempura hand roll and miso aubergine, these are a must, plus the fried salmon head which I love.

Small and cost, Kulu Kulu had been around for ages and has still managed to retain its appeal, despite chain sushi outlets having the same conveyor belt concept. The mini dishes are good overall, but there wasn't a stand-out dish. However, I did find the selection limiting, as plates and plates came out of the conveyor belt rather similar. I have been to places where they are more creative and "innovate" the dishes. Being central London, prices are elevated, and therefore, customers' expectations for more distinctive dishes increase. Service is responsive, and staff are friendly. Ambience was one of a "cosy chatty" backdrop. We enjoyed our dinner.

Sushi for me is food which I could eat for the rest of my life. I have been to Japanese sushi places all around the world. This has been one of the best experiences of my life. Thu the atmosphere could have been made a little better and if they can make it easy to read the prices in the exact plates . But the food is 🤤. Total foodgasm! Must try ! I would definitely go again when I get the chance

Having been to Japan, I had high expectations. This was a great little place that looked authentic from outside. We were greeted immediately and seated behind the chef who prepared many of the cold dishes for the conveyor belt. I believe the hot food came from the kitchen at the back. There was only 1 member of staff who was Japanese (a waitress). The little menus on the table were helpful; advising how to order and that green tea was help-yourself from one of the tea stations (choose a white mug - all of which had chips and stains - take a tea bag and fill it with hot water from the machine). The tea had a great taste. The sushi on the conveyor belt mostly looked fresh, some of it was drying out from going round and round and not being chosen. Best to choose the freshest dishes and see what the chef has just made. The chef was using the same knife to cut fish and vegetables on the same board.. I might go back. Maybe. I found Yo Sushi better.

Nice food but way overpriced - spent about £15 on food alone and left hungry. Don't go late, as disappointingly no new dishes were put out after around 8:45pm.

First visit for way too long. Absolutely love this place, consistently good, fresh plates of delicious Japanese maki rolls and sashimi, always lovely staff. Still great value for money and will continue to be my go to for conveyor belt goodness.

My favourite sushi restaurant 20years ago before married, and still. Now my daughter love it too. Good food with a good price, and staffs always friendly.

It is a small casual sushi conveyor belt spot located just off Piccadilly Circus. The food is pretty good but the portions could be larger given that it is expensive. The restaurant is small so would recommend coming in a small group or coming fairly close to opening time if going on the weekend as they do have a 45 min time limit when they are busy. Also take note that it is walk-in only. I would recommend the tofu, sashimi, tempura and what I believe is raw tuna mixed with some seasoning with spring onion on top but I can’t recall the name.

Overall, fairly good sushi for the price. The maki rolls are big, and they usually give adequate ratio of fish to rice. The conveyer belt sushi system is easy to understand with the differently priced plates made clear. I enjoyed the non sushi dishes as well, such as the chicken karaage and miso aubergine. It's also possible to order dishes off the menu. It's a shame that they didn't have the daifuku for dessert as I wanted to give that a try.

Super pleased with the food and atmosphere here, got filled up for a decent price with an incredible fresh array of large sushi, tempura, great quality sashimi! Constantly replaced, so you’re definitely not getting anything cold or stale. Much better than yosushi, and definitely hard to find conveyor belt places in London these days- happy these are still going! Very fast service too, very good chefs👍👍👍👍

Terrible seating if you’re over 20 years old (tiny, hard stools). OK prices for London, but all of the good sushi was taken by a group of strategically-seated Japanese students, so the rest of the patrons only got the second-rate dishes the Japanese passed on.

It has a very interesting concept, with small plates rolling in the middle of a long table so you pick whatever you like as you eat

We don't have sushi on belt in New York (for now) so we went with the kids and everybody had a great time, rice and fish is on point as well as the pricing. Will repeat.

Small and cosy place in Soho. There is no booking, just turn up and three of us got seated around the convey belt on a Tuesday night. Sushi is good, freshly made.

Best conveyer belt sushi restaurant in London. Yes, it might not look much from outside, and it’s certainly not the cheapest, but it drips with cozy atmosphere and the quality of sushi is supreme!

Sushi is not made by Japanese. So I say sushi as a big. But to some people this is good value. Some sushi I don’t even know what is that. But so far it count ok in London. Little bit too tight on seat. Raw fish is still flash.

Fantastic place to go for conveyor belt sushi. Went here for lunch with a friend and we both really enjoyed the experience and the food. This place is always great for sushi - can get busy but that’s because it’s good. The only challenge is keeping track of how much you’re eating (you’re picking whatever you want from the conveyor belt and there are five types of ‘plate’ prices)!

Wonderful little place with a unique sushi experience. Everything revolves around one large table that you share with everyone and a conveyor / carousel that moves the dishes around. Great for kids but also fun for anyone to view and pick any dish. More than enough variation. The waiting line is often longer than anywhere else but the waiting times are relatively short which makes it worth waiting for.

The sushi was good, but a steep price to pay for each plate since it was only 2 pieces of sushi. Keep in mind you’re only allowed to sit 40-45 mins if there is a line, so you do end up a bit stressed.

This is good for a genuine sushi conveyor belt experience. The sushi is nice and fresh and there is plenty of choice. There are plates from around £3 to £5.20. Seeing it in front of you will make you eat more than you planned for but it is worth it.

I've been going to Kulu Kulu for over a decade now, and the quality of the food is one of the best I've ever had. The portion of the maki rolls have increased in size, you can get 2 bites in!! The free green tea is always a plus. And we got there for 5pm when it opens for dinner. It didn't take long before the conveyor belt was adorned with delicious sushi. Kulu kulu has always been my go to place, simply for comfort and great food. I hadn't been in a while until today, but I am happy to report, that the food is exactly as satisfying as it was 15 years ago.

It's a lovely little sushi restaurant with really delicious food and friendly staff. Not just sushi, also other delicious Japanese food. Reasonably priced and utterly worth a visit.

sushi wasnt very flavourful and overall i did not enjoy the experience. however, the staff are very nice and it is all freshly prepared infront of you it was just not for me.

My favourite place to eat sushi in London, every time I bring someone new they love it too. The food is great and you can order off the menu if there's not something on the belt. Belt sushi is the best! The staff are friendly too.

This is the highlight of any visit when I take my son to London, he can consume a mountain of sushi and knows where to sit to get first choice off the conveyor belt... Always friendly, feels authentic and well priced, and the sushi is always delicious. It is no frills, but compared to the glossy, over-priced sushi restaurants nearby this is a clear winner.

Was looking for somewhere for sushi but not a high street brand. Kulu Kulu was just perfect and perfectly located in Soho. You can’t reserve and there were queues out of the door at one point as there are only a few seats. There is one table with 4 chairs but the rest of the seats are around the traditional conveyor belt. You can take what you want from the belt or place a specific order. The food was delicious. I will return a gem of a find!
