The food is good, what there is of it and some staff are really nice however most of them are rude. There is limited selection of food here and it is not dog friendly inside at all even if it is raining. Not a fan of this cafe. Would only recommend a coffee from here. Over priced as well

Awful overpriced coffee and poor availability of food. Weekend staff seem reluctant to bother cooking anything hot; Weekday staff far nicer.

Worst coffee ive ever tasted and expensive cafe, unenthusiastic staff, foods not up to much, staff begrudge making or doing anything. Crisps are horrible. I would not recommend this place. Not a pleasant experience. Youd have to pay me well to comsume anything there.

What a disappointment this cafe is. Such a lovely environment, yet such poor quality food and drink. This place could be amazing under the right management. It’s dirty, warm fridges, below average food, very little effort has been put in, even Margherita pizza is spelt incorrectly, on the damaged, laminated, stuck to the table menu. Needless to say, we didn’t eat, there’s loads of lovely pubs near by with better quality food, give this place a miss.

Went to just buy some takeaways as there was no indoor seating. The queue was horrendous and the one way system for COVID was badly signed and planned causing very slow service. The staff made you feel like you were being herded like sheep. I asked if they could fill the dog water bowl and they plain refused. With the amount of dog walkers they should have a system for refilling the bowls without risk of infection. I just don’t think they cared.

After a lovely walk around this beautiful area I stopped by for coffee. Staff are friendly and coffee was good. Prices are what you expect from a country park/attraction cafe. There is also a small gift shop in the same building. Worth a stop to refresh after your walk/hike or jog.

Stopped whilst walking the dog for a coffee. Shame you can’t bring dogs in the cafe. You have to leave them tied up outside while you order which is very worrying considering the amount of dog thefts in the area. I left mine with another doggie couple while I went inside but although the coffee was lovely I won’t stop again even though I walk in Shorne Country park nearly everyday.

Snack food provided i.e sandwiches, toasties and cakes. The only thing missing is a good hot food menu,I agree with the other reviews about the coffee although it is good to see an gluten free option and somewhere that does not put chips on the menu. The only hot food is a all day breakfast .

Popped into the cafe after a visit to the crematorium with the family and ordered 5 different coffee. When they arrived we could not the difference between any of them including the lattes and the americano! The. Only food we ordered was a toasted cheese that can with the saddest looking single slice of cucumber I have ever seen. I don’t want to be personal about the staff but would it kill them to at least fake a smile? So hot drinks poor, cold drinks massively over priced, staff clearly don’t want to be there. Take a picnic!!!

Came here last week for a walk around and this week we wanted to bring Marley (the pooch). We took a nice stroll through the woods on one of the sign posted routes. Popped into the cafe for food afterwards. We shared ham and mushroom pizza and pepperoni pizza with side salad. The pizzas are £9 each. Not a bad little place.

We were at the park and had finished our walk , it was 1500 hours the park was open till 1615 I approached the door of the cafe and there was a tall teenager leaning against the door I said excuse me can you let me in Without even looking at me nor moving he rudely said Closed No further response from him I presumed he was working for the owners There were people eating inside and a queue waiting to be served Why have a cafe with a surly bouncer type on the door And why have a cafe that closer before the park does !!!!!!!! Can not recommend one good thing !!!!!

We visited the Shorne Woods Cafe in connection with a visit to the Country Park here on a warm Bank Holiday Monday. We drove here and it is conveniently located just off of the A2 (follow signs ‘Cobham’ & ‘Shorne’) along Brewers Road. The Country Park has a large (unsurfaced), cark park and there is a fee for parking here £2 for weekdays and £3 for weekends and Bank Holidays. We arrived just before lunchtime and the carpark was already very busy, though we did manage to find a space. Although the café is associated with the park, there does not seem to be any restriction in making a visit solely for the café. The café inside is reasonably spacious, clean and bright, they seemed to have a good selection of drinks, snacks and even a cooked breakfast being served up to lunch time. There is seating and tables provided for patrons both inside and out, with some of the outside tables being fitted with shades as well. There are toilet facilities close by. A nice place to rest and refresh either before or after a walk in the Country Park.

Very moist, truly excellent (for my taste) choc. brownies, average coffee, but no dogs, even small, well-behaved ones allowed inside (unlike, say, Caffe Nero or any cafe in Devon or on the Continent), and very poor: no re-usable cups, even for use inside.

The canteen on a saturday afternoon is manic. There are two staff serving the hoards of people who are trying to get to cakes, spilling drinks everywhere and jostling to pay. After the scuffling we managed to make ourselves two teas, only to find it would cost us close to £5 and we would have to go back through the people to the end of the mile long queue. We thought sod it and walked out with them - no one batted an eyelid and I'm sure we weren't the first to do it. The whole process is designed very poorly, a new layout is needed. Who's idea was it to put the beverage area infront of the till and queue, but the food is behind?

After a nice walk we decided to go into the cafe for a warm drink and a bite to eat......we had a couple of sandwiches which were very overpriced!! My daughter had a sausage roll and asked for it to be warmed and was told to put it in the microwave which made the pastry all soggy even though they had an oven behind the counter, we also ordered a sausage baguette.....the baguette was cold, no butter with two whole sausages plonked in it and a jacket potato with what was described as tuna mayo and cheese......no mayo included so had to ask for some. To top it all off hot drinks from a machine that tasted like hot water. With such a nice setting so much more could be made of the cafe!

This busy cafe was clean and tidy when we used it, it was nearly closing time but the staff were willing to help and there was still some cake left, which was lovely after the walks we had done, choice of seating outside and in, and dog bowls were outside for those who needed them. Outside there is a steeping stone balancing walk so if the children get bored while you are still chatting they have something to occupy themselves with.

As i live in the village, my friend and i took a walk through the woods with our babies and were heading for the breakfast. Which ive had previously and really enjoyed. (All locally sorced products & fresh.) well that was all to change when we got there. We ordered our breakfast, one vegetarian & one meat. £5.50 for vegetarian with tea or coffee & £6.50 for meat one. The girl who served us clearly wanted to be anywere else other than at work!! Feeding our children out in picnic area part of the cafe & few wasps start buzzing around. Breakfast comes over, wasps in my breakfast!!!! (Actually in my beans!!) by now there are lots of wasps about. Its not even warm & about 10.30am. Took my breakfast back to the counter! To be very rudely told, that they didnt have a wasp problem, & theres nothing they can do i need to "embrace nature" as im in a nature reserve!! The ummmmed & errrrred for ages on what to do. I had to push to get a refund. Of which she rudely went to her manager and i was told that howletts have the same problem and there is no wasp nest!! As i said to them im not talking about howletts. (A local zoo) i said youve got a wasp nest outside & ive got an 8 month old also being bombarded with them. They basically told me i was making it up! Even though i wasnt the only one complaining! But other than that, its over priced, with rude staff. (In the cafe) Wasnt happy, wont be eating from there again !!!

Average menu basic ok , good friendly staff , good value for money well worth a visit , I preferred the old wooden cabin before the new structure was built. Would of been nice if it was more in cabin style , some thing like the Walton's from the t v program with lovely tea pots hanging up As a young girl I know every inch of the woods. Climbed trees fell in pounds , but I hope they don't make the woods too structured , I hope it always has a heart a place of wilderness that man can not ruin , at least early morning and late at night it belongs to the wild. Life , thank god .

Nice location, great for walks, adventure play park for younger children, good for cross country running. We (family with 2 teenagers) visited on the last Sunday of the Christmas hols at around lunchtime. Exactly what we expected, lots of young families with young children, and simple, but wholesome food, such as the ubiquitous bacon butty, jacket potatoes with lots of veggie friendly toppings, sandwiches, and coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Practically, there aren't all that many tables inside (perhaps 20 2x seater tables, some pushed together to make fours or sixes), and about the same outside seating. They have a card payment machine in the cafe, and here's a tip... Although there is a charge for the car park, if you don't have change for the parking machine, you can go into the visitors centre and pay there instead with notes or card.
