Lovely evening overlooking Paignton beach! My daughter, granddaughter and I enjoyed the very best pizzas followed by delicious deserts with excellent service! Thank you for an enjoyable evening! Carol and family 😊

Amazing views and the food was pretty good also. We tried the pizza and fish and chips, both were really good. Location is right on the sea front, it was very busy when we went (Friday night summer holidays) and so we did wait a bit but we had the view to keep us busy. Nice children's menu but could do with having some sides like rice or pasta for the pickier eaters 🙂

The pizza is truly excellent - some of the best we’ve had outside Italy and is only able to be so because of the proper pizza oven so for that absolute kudos. The views are wonderful too - smack bang in the middle of the bay. Unfortunately service was on our visit disorganised, there’s no getting around it. The staff were lovely, don’t get me wrong, but after eating our table was only half cleared, 20minutes went by, I went up and asked for the dessert menu but nobody came back to ask if we wanted anything meanwhile we’ve got 2 under 5s who are knackered and we’re out of ways to placate and entertain them. I went back and asked for the bill as we had to go. There were about 3 other tables occupied, it was dead on a Tuesday evening - not exactly rammed by any stretch of the imagination - and it was ultimately lost revenue for the restaurant. As an aside, I know dessert pizza has been a thing but it flopped and has died out everywhere we know that tried it about 10years go because I would surmise after eating a big meal (which here is very likely to be pizza) is going to order another pizza for desset - get some light items that compliment pizza like pavlova, profiteroles, tiramisu and panna cotta and I’d wager you’ll sell more desserts.

We were served coffee by an absolutely lovely waitress called Maddy (?). She is fantastic at customer service and made our experience a real pleasure!

Food was good and the restaurant looked so lovely but the service was just really poor from Julia/Julie (not sure which one) I asked her if I could have a chicken burger instead of a beef burger and the response I got was ‘probably can’t do that because the burgers are pre made’ I don’t know how you pre make a burger 🤷🏼‍♀️ She really didn’t look like she wanted to be there. The young lady on the other hand was so lovely and very polite 🙂 That was the only let down, apart from that a nice visit

Outdated and in need of TLC if I'm being honest. Waitress was pleasant enough

Perhaps we came at a bad time, but went for lunch and the air con wasn't on/ was broken, so it was really stuffy. Recieved the wrong drink and then the burger bun seemed flimsy and cheap. However, this may have been a bad time. Seen the place busier before and liked that they're dog friendly and vegan friendly. Decor is a bit weird imo, but amazing views. They also need to make it clear where the toilets are as there were no signs.

It was quiet when we went. The pizza was delicious and the staff were lovely.

We travelled to Paignton on a train which only gave us 2.5 hours in the town. We walked down to Shoreline having seen the menu online. I had fish and chips and my Dad had the fish burger. Both were great, really nice fish and chips. The choice was great and the service was quick and friendly. It was so nice to be able to get a great sea view while eating.

Hidden away up some stairs behind the Vue cinema is the shoreline restaurant with panoramic sea views. They have a real pizza oven, and they pizzas were great, made fresh, and served pretty quickly. Went on a Saturday evening in peak summer season, it was fairly empty as it tucked away out of view.

Service was slow in fact I believe they had forgotten about us. The americano coffee was undrinkable. When we went to pay the young lady asked if ever thing was OK I said I'm sorry I couldn't drink the coffee lol got a very indifferent apology! But still charged full price. Disappointing because the location is lovely. (we are local and have visited here several occasions without issue)

The place was clean enough and had some vegan options available unfortunately never got to try them as on arrival we were seated and told a full table service and someone would take our order in a few minutes. After waiting 20 minutes and being ignored and other guests arriving after us and getting their orders we left. This is the 2nd time have tried this restaurant and both times have just walked out. There won't be a 3rd time lucky.

We were looking for a clean, relaxing place to go for lunch, with good food at good prices. Shoreline delivered. The staff are very friendly and offered top notch service. The food was very good, highly recommended the pizza and fish and chips. We actually retuned the later same day for an evening coffee and slice of cake, sat outside looking out to sea. Well done to all at Shoreline!

We tried the fish burgers and the Portuguese pizza and they’re delicious!! The burgers are above average but the pizza I highly recommend is.

I've remember this place from the 1990s when it had awful school canteen vibes with green, fixed plastic chairs and nasty cheap cafe food! Those days are long gone, thankfully. Totally transformed from those days now. Lovely vibe and decor with amazing views and real food. The food and service used to be excellent in all respects. Sadly, it was not as great this visit. This time, the food was still OK, but not as good as it used to be (maybe it was just a bad day on this occasion?) Still it was disappointing compared to last time. We had the burgers, and they seem to now specialise in pizza, so maybe we should have gone for pizza instead. They also have sauce packets rather than bottles or served up in a DECENT sized pot, which is more preferable tbh. I loathe it when places that have sauce packets, bad for the environment, annoying to get into, and a stingy amount inside!

A strange atmosphere- Staff didn’t seem to appreciate us coming in despite it being 3PM and completely empty. Waited for ten minutes before heading up to the bar to order drinks, and once up there had to wait for another ten while the presumed manager spoke to another member of staff, all the while casting glances over at us. £6 for a pint of cider, and an overpriced, watery pizza- Do not recommend, unless a walking-dead like atmosphere is your preference of dining.

I only visited for a coffee which I drank on the balcony overlooking the beach and sea with a view of the harbour. I have been to this venue many times over the years and experienced various menus and styles of service and how one obtains a table from self selection to being directed and to being shown to your table. The present system involves waiting by the entrance, informing the staff member what you are wanting (food and, or drink )before being directed with or without their company.

The best views for Paignton Beach. Highly recommend if you wat scenery to look at while you eat!, Food wasn't too bad either.

This is a glorified greesy spoon with disinterested staff and a drab, run down, interior. Even the menus have seen better days. Our food was cold and very small portions, unappealing chucked on the plate. The Chorizo beans seemed like they were poorly reheated from a can. The poached eggs were somehow overcooked and cold. The tea was as white as a sheet, just a tea bag in a cup of cold water. It is truly awful in every regard.

Fantastic views over the bay, fab friendly and helpful service and tasty food. Would definitely recommend a visit :) nice to visit somewhere new!

Great breakfast ~ fantastic sea views ~ dog friendly ~ lovely friendly staff ~ what more could we want.

The food is fine. If I put 4 or 5 stars it would suggest it's amazing, but it's pretty good. It's a beach cafe, it makes a really good effort to be sustainable. It's worth sorting outside on the fantastic deck, with a pint on a sunny day. Or a cuppa and a piece of cake indoors if it's raining!

Phoned and asked if they do Glutton free menu. They replied yes so booked a table for two. On arrival the staff were excellent, the menu had a variety of meals and the staff (Hatie) was prepared to mix and match to accommodate my wife food choice. Excellent vista and service. Would highly recommend this establishment

Delicious food, Amazing views, Friendly staff and doggy friendly too!

I would give a zero if it was available. My friend and I arrived and sat at a table. There were no menus on the table so we asked a passing waitress if we had to order at the counter and were told it was waitress service. She asked if we knew what we wanted.. well no we don't because we haven't seen a menu. She took the order of the table next to us and you would think she would give us their menus as she removed them from their table... no. So we waited and waited for a menu and in the end my friend went to the counter to ask for one to be told one would be brought to the table. What arrived was 4 separate pieces of paper, some laminated, some not and were crumpled and dogeared. We decided that if the menus looked liked this what on earth would the kitchen and food be like. So we left and went to Costero Lounge a few paces away and the food was delicious!

Been here loads of times - but came today for the Air Show. Great views, really friendly service and awesome food. Daughter is coeliac which was completely catered for without issue. Absolutely fantastic venue - now off to join our friends in “economy class” on the beach 😂

The sign for the wood fired oven pizza tempted me to climb the stairs to The Shoreline. The entrance at the top is architecturally awkward but once inside we had a warm welcome from our pigtailed waitress. There was an emphasis on local produce, so a Tarquins gin and Luscome tonic along with a locally brewed lager were ordered, both were very good.The pizza had a good base with a great tomato sauce, the Mozzarella was evenly distributed but tearing it would have made a better look. Service was swift and the view out great although its an older building which would get really hot in the summer. Coffees were very good with a nice bite to the roast and delivered swiftly. Overall it's worth the walk up the stairs and yes I could go back.

We only called in for tea and hot chocolate. Lovely friendly staff.

Lovely spot for a bite to eat. We went for lunch (return visitors) and it was friendly. The Panzanella salad was lovely, as was the burger that my husband had. Spacious, friendly and worth a visit.

Only reason its 2 stars because we didn't try food and views are great. Place is lacking basic higean and design is all over the place. Server spilt coffee all over the table and even didnt clean it up. I had to chase her to at least get a tissue.

Great location and views. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was well presented and tasty, good value for money. Sadly we won't be returning due to dog hairs, barking, damp dog smell and dog saliva witnessed at a table beside us. Dogs, food and restaurants do not work 😒

I was lucky enough to win a prize with shoreline and took my bestie with me for lunch. It was absolutely beautiful. We had the charcuterie sharer board & Spritz for 2 and added some extra bits to share. The food was absolutely delicious. No processed frozen rubbish. Service was outstanding, the staff were really nice and very helpful. The restaurant itself has stunning sea views across the beach. Felt very chilled and relaxed in there. We will definitely going again for ladies that lunch. Thank you for a really lovely treat. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

No access for people with mobility issues.

Wetherspoons in paignton was being re-furbed, (!) so....tried this seafront cafe (marvellous view of the bay, 30 ft from the sandy beach).......food good and reasonable price...and tasty....but......amazed they allowed dogs in there though.....at one point there were 3. A barking competition broke out (!).......we found it 'amusing ' .but because of this and the obvious health and hygiene issues with animals near food (one owner allowing their small jack russell to walk on the table )..........we wont be coming back.

Little place right on the beach at Paignton. Definitely worth a visit! Amazing lunches, ales, local Gins! The service from the lovely staff was impeccable! The views are the best!! Had 2 lovely lunches here with a friend.

Absolutely enjoyed visiting the Shoreline Restaurant for afternoon cream teas - Fantastic view from the restaurant of the fabulous Paignton Seafront - Staff were truly amazing - I highly recommend you pay a visit when in Paignton Devon!!!!

Enjoyed a sausage and mushroom bap, with a view of the tranquil sea and sounds of the small waves lapping on the shore. Pups enjoyed a treat and some water from the doggie bar - nice touch.

Booked a kids pizza party here , staff could not of been more professional and friendly with the children . Attention to detail was fantastic and safety was a priority throughout. Thank you Shoreline for making my daughter’s birthday stress free and fun. I would recommend you to anyone that will listen.

Really disappointing lunch. Coffee served in glasses with no handle so it is very hot to hold and not ideal. A myriad of menus to look through. Sandwiches were bland and uninteresting and expensive. Seats filthy and, as they were plastic covering, please wash them!!

I’m writing this while I’m still at the restaurant. Genuinely, this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. Proper Italian style pizza in a pizza oven, using specially prepared dough. The fact they’ve gone out to Italy to learn how it’s done says it all. You don’t think it’s much from the outside but I’m honestly mega impressed. I will 100% be back. Good pizza is hard to find. But this is it. Plus, it’s dog friendly inside so we popped in while on a dog walk along the beach. Plus, my wife is gluten intolerant and had a massive selection to choose from.

Amazing food ! We had pizza and just a sandwich but was blown away . Fresh ingredients, nice staff, clean , great sea views and reasonable prices . Definitely will come back

Cold rainy day in Paignton, much improved by a visit here. Service is cheery and prompt. Food is nice, we had pizza and sweet potato fries, all good. Will definitely be back!!

Very disappointing. I'm a local and this is my second visit. The first, several years ago, was dreadful. The second, today, wasn't great. Ignored upon entry, very quiet, got a table with a view, dog hairs on the seat, no menu, so had to ask for one. Picked a sharing platter for 2 of us, not enough for a child!! Tiny portion with 3x3 miniature pieces and 2 dips. Had to cut one in half to share and a tiny side salad. Not what we expected and definitely not a sharing platter. We told the waitress, who said she'd tell the chef, who obviously didn't care. The only good thing is the view. We do not recommend it.

This little eatery provided us with first class pizza. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was great. Decor is a little tired but the food and value make this worth a visit if You are in Paignton.

This has to be the greatest location in Torbay - raised up over the seafront with panoramic views from Torquay to Berry Head and the waves at high tide right below you. Breakfast pancakes were excellent and a lot cheaper than nearby competitors. Will definitely be back, but do feel that you need better signage at the bottom of the steps so that people don’t miss you.

Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had, with the loveliest staff. Absolute gem of Paignton seafront

We had a pleasant meal and the staff were very helpful and friendly but we had a card that allows 10 percent off our bill and the owner did not honour it. The staff didn't seem to know if it could be used and when we asked for the 10 percent to be removed the owner said this was not possible. Such a shame, as the food was nice a nice view.

Always a pleasure to eat at the Shoreline, best Pizza ever!!! And the quality of the food is very good, Its a great place and a fantastic view, just to sit and have a coffee or have a fabulous meal, We would highly recommend it. Can't wait to return.

We are local to the area and have had some lovely artisan pizza's here. BUT were very disappointed with rock hard oven cooked pizza, sent it back and was replaced with yet another awful pizza. Such a shame. I hope that today 24 Jan the kids have lots of fun making there own pizza's,,, as sure they can show the chef how to do them properly.

They have nice view but the food is not as good. Staff were nice. I ordered this american burger but the burger patty taste bad as like it has gone bad. 🤮🤮 we also had pizza and salad which are all normal.

Family restaurant, fast service and real coffee with the best sea view in town.

Had a full breakfast good quality ingredients. Wife had full veggie breakfast, nice Richmond veggie sausage, quorn not processed veg. Coffee really nice, met as we came in by the waitress and seated, then served within a couple of minutes, food took about 10 to 15 minutes all fresh and hot, the bread used for toast and fried bread is really tasty but goes hard quickly, probably be better with a more basic bread for the fried ! Could do with a lick of paint and you are paying a bit extra for an amazing view but overall a good experience which we'll do again 😉

Lovely views, nice coffee, very friendly staff. Service was slightly slow, but to be fair, they were fairly busy. All tables were reserved, so probably worth calling ahead to book/check availability.

We had a great time as a group. Our first visit. Sid did a great job in the kitchen. All our meals were great in looks and taste. All the staff that came to the table were part of an enjoyable experience. Thank you, Shoreline.

I'm Italian and I've finally found a great pizza over here in Torbay!

Really good food, especially the pizza , wood fired, properly cooked and made with real Italian style pizza dough. Thoroughly recommend. Dogs very welcome and they even have their own menu.

Where to begin as dog owners we thought we'd make it our local for coffee but of course xmas mince pies must be had so the young girl with silver hair greeted us asked if we was eating we just said no coffee and mince pie such attitude made us feel unwelcome as not having full meal furthermore she brings the coffee spills it with no offer to clean it up had to ask her for napkins as it was drip of bottom cup and this time 2 tiny little mince pies not our usual wholesome juicy one I feel maybe she should of said that they only had tiny ones would this be ok and 3 times no brandy cream don't put on menu if you clearly never have just say clotted cream so disappointed in the experience and with new costero lounge opening maybe her attitude needs improvement all paying customers should be welcomed whatever order small or large.

Very nice food but the place is cold in the winter

We called in here for a coffee . Big mistake .. once we were seated Nd ordered we noticed a member of staff cleaning cob web s of the ceiling. To do this she was standing on tables with her shoes on and close to other customers . After using roughly 10 tables around the cafe she then decided that cleaning the tables was not for her and proceded to make a coffee for herself . Health and safety was non existent. And after all that hard work there was more cobwebs on the tables and floor . But the ceiling and top of windows ware lovely and clean

Staff ok no problem however 2 years ago had to send food back as burger had been cooked twice was like leather, like it had been cooked before then reheated. Today had chicken skewers this time clearly pre cooked came up cold / luke warm. Will not return. Oh and decaffeinated coffee is 30p more than normal coffee.

Firstly breakfast is served until noon which is great! Lovely Sunday morning breakfast with family, food was so good and and staff were so friendly and accommodating to everyone! Thank you! X

We went for a works Christmas meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and we had a lovely view of the fireworks in Brixham! Good vegetarian and vegan options. We had a great night would recommend.

Went to an Xmas party here, 80 people, and we were well looked after. Food was good and hot. Great evening, service was very efficient.

Don't go in at 3mins to 12 and hope to still get a breakfast (apparently available until 12 but was told in fact 5 to 12 now by waitress... so I was 2 mins late!l Really?!! 3 mins before advertised time but TWO mins after their preferred time and its a no?! Well, they just lost a years-long loyal local customer! A star for the view.

I only nipped in for a quick coffee with my brother and nephew after a rugby match in Paignton. Never been before despite living in Torbay all my life. Amazing place. Friendly staff, nice coffee, and stunning view!

Pleasant enough coffee shop with options for eating right on the shoreline naturally with view out to sea from the 1st floor it is situated on. One can also see the pier & the old harbour. Chocolate for 2 was just £6 so good price by most standards & very nice. Nice staff too, toilets were clean. Don't know if there was a lift so some 20 steps to climb up to it.

We wanted a nice meal in fairly short time before going to the Vue cinema and being new to Paignton this was the nearest restaurant. Well, we had one of the best greetings and one of the best meals for a long time. My wife and I had the seafood chowder which was a bowl filled with delicious and generous portions of cod, haddock and mussels. The chowder sauce was a lovely and it was well complemented with ciabatta bread. The service was swift and cheerful, the view was good & would have been excellent if it had not been raining. We can thoroughly recomment this restaurant to anybody and on a good day the view of the beach and bay would be lovely. Thanks for your excellent service & food.

Great breakfast and good coffee with good views

Great place to meet up. Very friendly staff. Food and drinks are 1st class. Dog friendly. (Even a doggy menu). We love Sinéad, she has sussed us out and has a great sense of humour. Fantastic views. Looking forward to watching an electrical storm.

Have lived in Paignton for a number of years, yet never visited the Shoreline. Went to day for a late lunch with my daughter. We were greeted by Sylwia and choose to sit outside. The view is amazing, the choice of food had our mouths watering. We choose a sandwich, not any sandwich, they are made with freshly baked foccia, home made coleslaw , even the dressing with the green salad was delicious. The staff were so friendly, food was delicious. You have just gained two very happy customers. Thank you.
