We had a toasted chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with chips. It was very tasty but nearly stone cold. Waited 25 minutes for it and yes, we should have sent it back but we were hungry. Told the waitress who collected our plates it was really tasty but it was cold and she looked at us and said yes and shrugged her shoulders-like this is normal… it’s a hot sandwich on the menu… she collected the plates and said sometimes you get it like this, sometimes it’s hot….. it’s a shame, as it could have been a much better experience.

Extremely good service from friendly staff. My wife and I ate here. The food is excellent. This pub is usually quiet during the day, then becomes really lively during the evening. It is well known for keeping up to date with the sport and its karaoke nights.

Can be used by hotel guests or outside customers. Screens playing games so you can grab a beer and watch the match . Quiet popular. Small easy menu .

Went on a Saturday night for the karaoke, it was a great night, very lively but very clean facilities. Now the downside, the drinks are expensive, you would have thought you were in a major city and for this reason we will not be returning. We had visited several bars and restaurants over the duration of our stay and this was by far the most expensive.

Went last week for Karaoke as usual but it was freezing in there - - no heating on at all!! Not very busy - only we Karaoke faithful but had to go home early as it was so cold! It' was January not July!!!

Albert’s bar has been one of my favourite haunts for a long time. Sadly it is starting to price itself out of the market for local people. I don’t quite get their way of thinking, with things so tight at present they make it expensive for everyone. If I was on vacation I would have a look at the other bars or pubs in the area before deciding to drink or eat here on a regular basis. Saying that I cannot knock the staff here they have always been excellent.

Called in for afternoon and evening drinks during our Christmas Holiday staying in the TLH Toorak, part of same complex. Alberts was quiet at the time but still a nice atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. Tables clean and draught beers and cider kept well. Son and hubby enjoyed the Madri beer in Alberts , which wasn't available in our hotel bar.

Nice bar to start your evening off or even finish it off. It was great to see some live music. The staff are friendly and there is a nice atmosphere.

The food looked good, but didn't eat. My partner enjoyed watching football on the large TV.

A great place Great food great menu choice aswell we went with another couple we had lovely food the rugby was on and they showed that also had eve entertainment we went to karaoke on Saturday eve was great a lovely bunch of staff so welcoming and can’t do enough for there guests the place is clean tidy will deffo recommend

A great bar for entertainment and drinks of an evening, we enjoyed every night we went there. Staff are always warm and welcoming. The food wasn't great for us, the chicken was overcooked and chewy. The rest of the group didn't enjoy their steak pie either.

No many vegan options on the menu, just feel that the bar staff did not care. I ordered a steak and ale pie and it looked like it was microwave and it was a pukka pie, my wife has the quiche and it was the same size as the pukka pie. Places should have more options on their mene

Came here when staying in a neighbouring hotel a few years ago and enjoyed so came back this time - twice. First one evening, there was a brilliant guitarist performing and one morning to watch the football.

Slightly disappointed in the entertainment of this weekend, no disco or karaoke and the female singer wasn’t great. Food was lovely. Drinks decently priced

Walk past here regularly. Stopped in to check it out. Myeh. It's a bar mostly frequented by transient guests at the hotel next door; often loud gobby drunks. Open plan, lacking in coziness or old world charm. Not for me.

I ordered 2 of the same meals and 2 drinks. Unfortunately we only received 1 meal and 2 drinks. When I queried my meal it hadn't been charged for and was a genuine mistake. As I didn't want to wait for another to be cooked I said it was fine. I then had a bowl of chips dropped on my table because they didn't want me to go hungry

Not the cheapest pint around but it's a nice, clean family pub with friendly staff. The Saturday karaoke had a good sound set up too

We came here before a concert at the riviera place and it was literally the best place to go beforehand as was a tiny walk away. Would recommend doing that. Bar staff were really lovely and I love the vibe in there! Football was on and it was just a super chill vibe with great value drinks. Loved it. Great little bar. Didn’t have food so can’t advise on that but from what I saw other people eat it looked good anyway

Had a couple of good nights of cold bottles of cider, it's a well thought out bar,toilets immaculate the place it's self is spotless. Now comes the down the third night a warm flat bottle of the same cider, I went to the bar staff and no interest at all,so we walked out and did not go again

We walked into this bar and felt instantly welcomed, the food was really good and reasonably priced, wish we'd known about this on our 1st night in Torquay. The staff were friendly and helpful, they sometimes have live music or sports on in this bar. Nothing negative to say about this bar or the staff at all.

Lovely food and you have the choice of ordering meals or snacks. A good place to eat just before a game of Bingo. A good place to catch up on football too.

Came in here to watch footy with the hubby. What a friendly place. Bar staff were extremely helpful giving us details of bus routes to Brixham after we mentioned the ferry had been cancelled due to the high winds. I really like the ambience of the place and the food was really nice.

Nice sports type bar at the TLH resort Hotel. We had the sharing platter and couldn't finish it. Great value food and drinks.

I wasn't expecting much which was fine but this place was not nice. The tables were sticky, it is loud and the decor is bad. The hallumi fries were dry and hard. The smothered chicken was overdone yet not hot. The salad was disgusting wilted and not editable. The house wine was also nasty. I know this all sounds harsh but for £7.10 for those hallumi fries I just have to tell people who work hard for their money that this place is not for dinning. It was busy so maybe a drink with friends but I wouldn't bother eating there. It was over priced for what it was.

Stark lack of decor and furniture more like a sports and social club. Needs more atmosphere.

Popped in to watch the football and enjoyed a great Lasagne. My wife and daughter tucked into the big mixed platter from the small plates menue - fabulous food and great value.

We went in as strangers and left as friends ! Staying at nearby hotels, we went to Albert's each evening where the music and singers were great, and the bar staff friendly and efficient. Shout out to Joe the bar man who looked after us well and was a lovely young man. Outside seating available and good selection of beers and spirits. Food served too, although we didn't eat here, and curry nights/quiz nights etc. Great bar, glad we stumbled upon it!

Sticky floors. Lemonade that was just fizzy water. Parts of our food not fresh. Cutlery trays empty. No steak knives. Staff pleasant was only good point. Wouldnt use again for food. Drinks reasonably priced.

I went with two friends for bowl between bowling, and had a burger for lunch. That was in between bowling, on Wednesday 22nd December 2021. I remember going to the "Alberts Bar" for karaoke back in 2010, when meeting friends at the time I was previously living in Torquay.

Large pub, lots of seating. Standard pub grub. Good service.

Bit of a quiet atmosphere but the sports screens are perfectly clear and the staff are attentive and amazing. Definitely recommend to watch the footy 👍🏻

I used to come here quite often with friends, but not any more. The music was on the verge of heavy metal, not something we like to listen to over lunch. I also found a hair in my lunch which put me off completely. Sorry but we won't be going there again.
