Disappointing from start to finish. Tried to ring to book a table but number said temporarily unavailable so we thought we would chance it. I stood at the door waiting to be acknowledged and the waitress walked straight past me twice without even saying I’ll be with you in a minute. I had to jump in say excuse me please could we have a table for 2. We were sat at a dirty table which the waitress didn’t bother to clean until we had been sitting down for quite a while. We were moved 2 times. Once to accommodate a bigger party, which was fine but then we were told where the waitress had newly put us was in the walkway so we had to move again. Cue the two waitresses bickering in ear shot about whether or not we could be sat where we were. We ordered drinks (my partner a beer and me water) only the beer arrived. Did the waitress forget? Did she not think it odd only one person had a drink? No water offered or brought out even when the food arrived so I had to ask for it. Food is not authentic indian at all (trust me I’m indian) it was heavy, fatty, bland, deep fried and not an ounce of spice. Not an accurate reflection of indian food which was the most disappointing thing. Waitress never came back to check on us to ask if the food was okay, if we needed another drink or if we wanted dessert. We ended up having to walk in to ask for the bill.

Now trading as Bandook. Visited for late lunch on a sunny Saturday, in a group of 6. Only 1 waitress serving both inside and out and to be fair she was rushed off of her feet (there were 3 working in the kitchen). Due to the over worked waitress there was quite a wait for our order to be taken, annoying but we could see the reason why. The first thing my wife did was check with the waitress if any of the dishes contained spinach. While trace contamination is fine if she eats something that contains spinach it will trigger a strong asthma attack. The waitress told us very confidently that none of the dishes on the menu contained spinach - I she didn't even need to check with the kitchen. The food didn't take long to arrive - although we ended up having to go and fetch our own cutlery as none came with the food and the waitress just never came back. All the food was well cooked and seasoned and we were all happy with the quality and quantity of our dishes. BUT my wife's' dish - and few others we ordered came with a side salad (this was not mentioned in the menu) and guess what - yes the salad was 40% baby spinach. While it was very easy her to put the salad to one side. It is totally unacceptable for serving staff to give incorrect allergy information when questioned. This is something that they need to address. Hence the low rating

So it’s now called Bandook. It’s the best Indian I’ve had in Bristol. The paneer khathi roll and aubergine curry were tasty. Got this as a takeaway on a Sunday night and the small restaurant was busy. I enjoyed it and the Bollywood quotes were a nice touch :) forgot to take photos.

We had lunch here today using a Wriggle deal, so £5.95 each for a large plate- exceedingly good value. Quirky little restaurant in one of the cargo containers. Service was good and it’s great to see an open kitchen. We had the boti lamb kebab and chicken murgh chatpata. Both came with a delicious sauce and fresh salad. The flavours were perfect, portion size was great and we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely be going back to try more of the meals, these were of a certain standard that we are confident the other meals will be just as delicious.

Dining in the Wrapping Wharf uses a fun concept of double stacked shipping containers, with each a shop or restaurant located in each (and there are perhaps 16 or more containers). Sholay had a handful of tables and an open kitchen, so you could see the food being prepared. The food was perfectly good, nothing wrong, but nothing spectacular either. It was definitely fun to eat in a shipping container and I recommend the experience.

We ate here for lunch - two veggies and a meat eater. The chilli paneer was great. The kale bhaji was better than your average dry ones but didn't come close to my top bhaji (Dosa Deli). The Papri Chaat was a little dry and the sauce was sparing and not fitting (it was topped with something that essentially tasted like BBQ sauce). The tarka dal was okay but more bland than homemade dal, and in all honesty, a good dal is not rocket science. Considering that we came out still hungry, it seems a bit overpriced for what you get. My friend seemed to like the Bhatti da Murgh, but again it was also just a big piece of chicken and fries with a small amount of sauce. The restaurant itself had a good atmosphere. The staff could have been a little more attentive, but that's not a huge issue for me. My star rating is based on the food and whether I'd return and I'm afraid that it's a no.

This place was incorrectly rated, the food was okay - it sat quiet heavily and didn’t have the same spices or tastes I’ve come to expect from good Indian food, however the service entirely lacking made this an awful experience. We requested water to the table half a dozen times, we didn’t get half the things we’d ordered, the staff didn’t register us most of the time and then they tried to get us to tip… Not to mention their chocolates are out of date. For the price it’s not at all worth it, one of the worst Indian food experiences I’ve had.

The food was barely warm and the pakora were chewy. I don't think this is Dev's fault, seems to be an issue with Delivery - we've ordered food from JustEat before and it was barely warm then too.
