Been a few times always great food but got ripped off last night. £15.90 for 2 pints of Kingfisher, when challenged the response was "price of beer has gone up" and then checking the bill afterwards that doesn't add up, was over charged (on top on the beer). Won't be returning. What a shame.

Ordered takeaway via uber. Absolutely shocking food. Sheek kebab starter freezing cold, naan bread completely stale, mint sauce tasted like soap, 1 poppadom that looked like it had booted around a car park and a lamb pathia containing only 2 pieces of lamb. Save your money and get a McDonald's its Probably healthier

Shocking customer experience, the ‘Manager’ who is also the chef, I have never known such a rude response after asking for a different dish due to the curry being freezing cold and uneatable. Even swearing in his own restaurant. Refusing to help the situation he got himself into, not even offering another dish because he says there all the same ?? Curry > tomato soup with water & chicken chunks. Naan bread > black Chips > freezing cold ‘45 years running a business’ you’d expect to know better ! Shocking….. had better microwave meals>> at-least there warm !

Onion bhaji starter was small, but tasty. Chicken Jalfrezi had the fresh green chilli some places skip over these days, but was missing peppers, it was mostly tomato. Mushroom rice was plentiful. The restaurant is more like a cheaper cafe in style. I sat at a table next to the door and beside the table were stacks of soft drinks in cans & bottles. Cheap and cheerful with decent food. On a busy Saturday evening it was the only restaurant I could find with a free table.

First-time visitor to this restaurant. Staying in Bristol on business and wanted a traditional style Indian meal. Very impressed with the experience at Bombay Boulevard. Had popadoms and pickle tray to start, followed by keema matar - madras hot and chapatis for main course. The food was fresh, tasty and authentic. Great service by the owner, and good value too. An amazing find! I generally frequent Tikka Flame, Urban Tandoor, and Coronation Curry House, but a friend suggested this place and I trust his tastes. It must've been meant to be, because only the night before I'd stumbled past it in a semi-drunken state and wondered what it was like.. It's an old school curry house in terms of it's dated interior, but they have a great menu with the classics but also Naga and phall curries should you fancy. The waiter was really nice and asked which dips we wanted with our Dom's which was a nice touch. I had Naga chicken, garlic naan, mushroom rice and it was excellent -really lovely flavours! My friend had the phall and I also tried another chicken dish which was also nice. I was asked how hot I wanted the Naga dish and it was a perfect heat for me; madras level. The phall was really tasty and while being pretty hot it wasn't as hot and unpalatable as others I've tried, and my friend ate the lot! Given that it was a Sunday evening, it was quite quiet in the restaurant, hence the lower score for atmosphere. Today is the day after, and can also report that my constitution is in good working order and ready for more cuisine from the subcontinent 🤗 Will definitely be back!!

RUN don't walk to this yummy indian. T'was a saturday night and our first choice, a greek place, was fully booked. Silly us not booking a table ahead of fishermens friends at the hippodrome but we are friends of "lady fate" deciding for us and boy, were we happy she did. located close to the hippodrome this restaurant should be busy 2 hours before a show but it was empty. I looked at my partner and almost used a veto when he said he fancied indian because an empty place at prime time with a slightly dodgy outdoor decor is usually not a great idea. I am so glad we ended up going inside. The waitress, who's name I have forgotten but who deserves a raise, praise, a monument and all the good things in the world, was absolutely outstanding. she was so kind, told us all about some of the indian dishes we didn't know, and worked super quickly as well. the menu is HUGE, which is a good thing. you can get basically any dish either as chicken, beef, duck or with seafood. we ordered a lot of food. you can order poppadoms with 6 different dips which are all absolutely delicious, the samosas were yummy and we had a more unusual beef starter which just melted in our mouths and was reason alone to come back. we are not great with spicy food so stayed away from that and both ordered curries for our main course. all the staples like the onion bahjis, the daals and the naan breads were exquisite and nearly filled us up already. then the currys came. my sauce was to die for and the meat was very tender again. to make it short - I do not know why this place was empty. we were the only customers in there from the time we walked in until we left, and this place deserves so much more. Service charge is not included so please, please tip the loving staff and if I could give one recommendation - invest in a proper POS system. the poor waitress has to handwrite each receipt and tally it all up manually which just seems unnecessary in this day and age. We ordered a lot and our bill came to just below £80 which was including 2 beers - the value for money is outstanding!

If you don’t mind eating in a cafe type environment this place will delight your taste buds with it’s authentic Indian food. From the outside the Bombay Boulevard does little to inspire a visit but on this occasion prompted by its 5 star hygiene rating I thought my I would give it a try. The curry was superb succulent chicken with a sauce that gave a nice kick as recommended by the server/chef/owner. Definitely worth a try if you fancy a no nonsense meal that won’t disappoint.

Both had food poisoning the next day. Food was well below average. No flavour what so ever. I’m assuming it’s the base gravy used. I’ve eaten in most Indian restaurants in Bristol and Bath and this was by far the worst. Interior is also in dying need of attention. Plus side, the waitress was friendly and polite. My recommendation is to walk down the road to Talwar Express on the corner for exceptional Indian food. - Response to owner Yes, a 5 star review was left for Talwar Express on the same day. I am not linked in anyway. I rarely leave reviews unless I have a bad experience as I did at your restaurant. I felt inclined after leaving my review with you guys to give Talwar Express a review out of appreciation. You’d kind of expect every dish to be checked before leaving the kitchen? Pretty standard stuff… I don’t care how many takeaways you served that night, that was my experience. Take the opinion or don’t it’s up to you. You have poor google reviews with one customer seeing a mouse in the kitchen?! You also have 3.8 rating on Deliveroo… Reviews are there to listen to and learn from. Step it up

My partner and I had a good experience here and the fried rice was one of the best I've ever had. We had more than we could eat, the portions were good and i really enjoyed my meal. Service was with a smile and prompt, my only suggestion would be to give this little place a makeover if ever possible as quite tired. However this experience had to be the worst Curry served to me. I had Butter Chicken. The meat was NOT Tikka cooked as specified on the menu, and sauce was just a Basic Curry sauce ( Most UK Curry's are made from a basic sauce mix, then ingredients added to make the desired choice). My meal was missing those ingredients, a d was just a standard sauce mix. Not recommended and pity I can't choose no stars.

My partner and I went to have a late dinner to Bombay Boulevard on Sunday night. We ordered the chicken balti, mixed vegetable and naan. The food was not great but it tasted fine and the prices were quite low. However, when we returned home after dinner, our stomach started hurting and its been hurting for the last 3 days now, we had to take medicines for the cramps and nausea so we felt better. I called the restaurant today to give them feedback on this instead of posting a review straight away (as I don't usually post reviews online) - the chef/owner that I spoke to (who also was preparing the food the day we went to the restaurant) had a very disappointing attitude. He first started by saying sorry then went on to convince me how it must be something else and couldn't have been his food as this is the first time they are hearing of this and they served others that day too. He started telling me maybe I have not had Indian food in the UK before or I am new to the UK, thats why my stomach reacted weirdly. As someone of Indian heritage, I found this offensive as I frequently eat Indian food at home and additionally have been to many other Indian restaurants in Bristol and outside the UK too, I have never had such an experience before. Our experience was horrible and the way the restaurant handled it made it even worse. Definitely won't be going back to Bombay Boulevard again!

Place was good but food wasn't that tasty as we expected. The chicken and other Currys had sweetness and didn't have any spicy taste at all.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but we thought, given the positive reviews, we might have caught it on a quiet night. Sadly, we gave it a go and it was extremely disappointing. No music, ambience or welcoming atmosphere. Chef was sat on a seat behind us as we sat down...his waitress was extremely friendly and helpful but sadly working within his instructions. Music was put on begrudgingly after we asked and the food was probably the worst Indian food I have ever tasted. I tried the chilli jay fry which was very artificially sweet and the rice was...well, rice. There was really nothing at all very impressive here. Then the bill arrived and immediately we felt completely ripped off....please beware, this place will charge for a premium experience and deliver far less, I will never go back I'm afraid.

So we chose here wanting a proper Indian curry and not somewhere that is all about the neon lighting and a smear of jus across your plate but sadly we were very disappointed. The hostess bless her did everything to hold things together but her hands were clearly tied. The food was so very salty, and ultimately the bill very expensive for what we had. It's sad when curry is so readily cooked at home nowadays that when you go out to an authentic Indian restaurant you realise on delivery of your food that you can cook way better. Sadly there was no choice on wine, just one red available and it was not exactly worth the cost when the bill came... I really want to recommend Bombay Boulevard as one of the dieing bastions of a true Indian restaurant experience but sadly I'm afraid I cannot.

Visiting the Hippodrome Theatre one evening, I fancied an Indian meal and as this is the only Indian restaurant located within a short distance of the theatre, this was where I went! The outside is tired and could really do with the windows being cleaned...

The food was good, full of flavour and well presented. Unfortunately, the lack of service lets these guys down badly. We ate early as we had a show to go to, and that meant that the 3 staff outnumbered us. You'd have thought that we...

Moderate seating and decorations. We went on a Saturday evening and it was very quiet. Food is average, if you are looking for Indian taste. A few items on the menu are nice though. Price is reasonable. The washrooms and seating need to be better though.

Kingswood's " Ruby" in the crown Warm, welcoming staff 🤩 Tikka mango lamb was unctuous and tender 😋 A sizzling " slay the dragon" chicken and vegetables delicately spiced in a delicious pineappley sauce ( my favourite) 🤗 Kingswood is very lucky to have the New Rupali indeed 🌟

Devs Kerala Restaurant is a delightful experience for food lovers. The dishes are full of traditional flavors, the ambiance is cozy, and the staff is attentive. Their dosas and fish curry are exceptional. Highly recommend!
