Devs Kerala Restaurant is a delightful experience for food lovers. The dishes are full of traditional flavors, the ambiance is cozy, and the staff is attentive. Their dosas and fish curry are exceptional. Highly recommend!

Food is delicious and comparatively cheap. Only thing I am concerned about is the health and safety of the environment. It would have been better . When we were having our food some flies are freely roaming inside the dinning area

Update: we've had takeaways many times and always been good. Even the hamster likes a bit (he's old now, so gets treats - in this case a piece of pakora). Great value for money. We had mushroom 65 and okra fries which were nice, then I had kerala fish. BF had masala dosa. Peswari naan were amazing. Only thing to be improved is lack of ventilation, smoky place.

Went at 3.30 pm on a working day. Quiet. Clean. Lots of fresh air. Great food, cheap. Had peanut papad + fish curry and uppam. Excellent value

The food was fine, the containers were not. I was given a bag of, what looked like, an explosion. Everything was ruined. I am hungry so am eating what I can, but honestly, you need better containers.

We were visiting Bristol for a week and happened to walk past. Being Indian and a lover of Kerala cuisine, we decided to try it and it was a good thing we did. The food was authentic, the spices were made in-house and there was no skimping to accommodate tastes- sticking to traditional recipes. Please try the lamb fry! It was somethng we ordered time and again!

Wonderful place with gorgeous tasty food and extremely reasonable prices! Just be careful if you ask for recommendations though - we were recommended three small dishes, which were absolutely delicious, but totally not enough to fill our English stomachs, so had to add two more afterwards just to be full! Still came to an incredibly cheap price though!

If this was the first time I'd ordered from Dev's I'd never order, again. Awful, completely dry overcooked chicken and the spices in the biryani -well it all tasted reheated and not fresh. Tarka Dhal had very little garlic flavour. I've had great meals from Devs and order regularly. V bad one today.

First of all this restaurant is a new experience for me because I have been to Bristol for an exam and I uad ordered food from here through uber eats.That food was the worst of all that I ever had in my lifetime.I myself being a keralite I feel ashamed for this team to serve food which has no real taste or quality.I have ordered dosa,nan and vada.The dosa was stone cold and not tasty,the sambar served was a mix of rasam and something else,the coconut chutney served was soury and foul smelling.Terrible terrible experience,be able I stayed there for only single night and had to leave the next morning I didn’t take it up otherwise I would’ve come to the place and talk to them. Please don’t spoil the name of Kerala by providing sub standard food

I booked a table for 7 of us to go. Restaurant was very busy and we all ordered our food. Nice and friendly service Food all came in good time I ordered chicken jalfrieze and pilau rice and portions were very generous and food was nice and hot and good flavours. Everyone enjoyed and was happy. Its a BYO drink restaurant. See you again soon. Many thanks

Devs Kerela is an amazing restaurant that provides the customer with authentic South Indian food. The service was very good and I was even given various recommendations that did not dissapoint. Finally, the prices are very competitive which made every bite even more enjoyable. Overall this is the perfect restaurant to grab a light lunch or indulge in a flavour-full dinner.

We have been getting take away from Devs for a couple of years now. It’s easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Bristol. The food is excellent. I don’t normally go for korma but theirs is the best I have had. It’s also very well priced.

The food was great! The service was brilliant and the atmosphere was calm.

Nice authentic food, shame about the atmosphere. We were one of two couples eating that night and it felt like the staff were staring at us eating every second which made us feel very uncomfortable. Next time I will get a takeaway and eat in the privacy of my own home. Needed some music, place was dead.

Squid is extremely bad. Full with oil and some burned taste. Never order from here again. And I don't recommend any of my friends to order from here.

Ordered poppadums- chutneys pretty disappointing. My chicken tikka biryani was the worst I’ve ever eaten- no real sauce and so little meat. My wife said her prawn balti was acrid- over spiced and no fragrant nor fresh flavours. Overall, very disappointing. Never again.

Just received my order first time ordering from here & it will be the last . I am so disappointed. Everything is watery & tasteless ( in particular the saag paneer & Veg Rogan ) apart from the naan ! I will never waste my money buying anything from here again .

It's not going to amaze you with michelin quality food, but it's perfectly good for what it is! A decent curry restaurant with really good prices and an unpretencious surounding, other restaurants are banging out not as good for twice the price, staff were nice, food was decent and good sized portions!

Worst hotel ever I ordered a schezwan noodles and they sent me hakka noodles which gave me allergic reactions and when I called them to confirm about this they were very rude about it and said that they will send whatever is available and did not inform me about the change. They hung up the call even when I was talking this was very rude of them

We ordered chicken biriyani, mutton biriyani, madani chicken and butter chicken. Except mutton biriyani all other dishes are absolute rubbish. Butter chicken was with capsicum..! Masai chicken was just chicken curry. If you want to try Indian dish please don’t go there..

Dev’s is awesome - authentic South Indian with all the special trimmings

We were drawn in by the smell of garlic cascading up the street, but I’m afraid we didn’t have the most amazing visit to Dev’s Kerala & after a 7 year hiatus we were really looking forward to an impromptu visit. The service was very good & loved that you can BYOB but the food was overly sweet. I mean really sweet! We ordered poppdaums which were tasty but there was no onion & tomato to go with. Followed by prawn Pathia, pilau rice & garlic naan - all a bit sweet & not dishes you would expect that from as Pathia is meant to be sour. We were also sat next to the window / door which was really loud & a bit blustery that day, inside it lacked atmosphere as it looked like it has recently had a lick of paint & the walls are almost bare.

As ever, ridiculously cheap & lovely food. The peanut masala poppadoms and masala dosa are amazing. Me and my wife went there, we had a starter and main each and it came to less than £20 altogether. 10/10 one of the best spots in Bristol.

I liked the Aloo papdi chat but the masala dosa is too sour and the Uthappam is bland. I can go back for chat but not for dosa.

It’s a great place to dine in Bristol . They have wide range of starters and wide variety of Indian Kerala foods . And their parotta are so fluffy ,soft and big with affordable price. They have a pleasing ambience and one would love the overall experience.

I have visited this place after seeing the reviews but honestly speaking it's just an average restaurant. I expected more as I was looking something more authentic. Hope you could improve more on the taste side.

A bring-your-own restaurant that is always busy. Very tasty dishes from around India. Very good value as the prices are pretty low - certainly for this part of Bristol. Unpretentious and reliable food that hits the spot.

The food matches the hygiene rating for sure. Every single thing I ordered apart from mango chutney was inedible. Bites of the bhuna were gritty between my teeth and the chicken korma was pink and underdone. The korma flavour had some spiciness when it’s supposed to be mild and was incredibly watery, not as a normal korma would be and didn’t resemble a korma in the slightest apart from the colour. The Bhuna had all of 4 pieces of meat and the chips arrived soggy in a plastic takeaway container that the condensation obviously had gotten to it with delivery, they were inedible and dusted with some random spice to make them appear half decent. I would never order from here again considering how slap dash it is and lesson learnt to view the hygiene rating before ordering from anywhere, I won’t be making that mistake again. Abysmal.

Great South Indian restaurant with authentic food options at a reasonable price, would recommend for anyone looking to try some more authentic Indian food opposed to a "curry house". Although they do have these options available too.

Food was good. Pocket friendly. Quantity was also good. Customer service could have been better. They give student discounts only on cash payments, which is no where explicitly written in their terms. We requested on card, but they said go out, withdraw cash and pay if you want ... 😑 Recommended- idli, noodles and dahi vada.

Visited a few times years ago and remembered an atmospheric restaurant, nice staff and great food. It was quite different than I remembered it. Restaurant had no ambiance, just bright lights and no music. The staff weren't very friendly but our order was correct and brought to us ok. Its a BYO so we asked to put a bottle in the fridge for us which they did. The food was tasty we enjoyed it. Its a shame that the dining experience isn't great as the food is good. I'd get a takeaway but wouldn't bother going back to eat in,not when there are other brilliant places on offer just a short walk away. We asked to split the bill but they wouldn't let us do three card transactions so we had to pay in one go and then bank transfer our friend. Can't remember ever having this issue in any other local restaurant.

Don’t order from this restaurant online as they will be scamming you. They have never delivered my food and claimed that they tried to call me while I did not receive any call. I have also ensured that my signal was fine and was able to receive incoming calls. Money has gone to waste.

Excellent all round, all dishes were full of flavour and not oily. They definitely take care with the cooking and flavours.
