Andy and the team went above and beyond for us!! Dinner was amazing and the service was second to none!! It’s my favourite pub and the atmosphere is always lovely!! Thank you guys we will be back soon!

Really good interesting food. Friendly service. I had a fantastic interesting salad and the most delicious spiced caramel panocotta. Really nice.

Our first visit since change of management and what a pleasant surprise it was. Good service with a very pleasant helpful waitress with my Tesco vouchers. Will definitely return again. Dicks old friend.

We had Sunday lunch here after reading positive reviews about its gluten-free options. Glad we did as it was great. My partner’s daughter is coeliac and she was super happy to have her own menu with plenty of options. Her roast had all the trimmings and the GF pudding was good too. I’m a vegetarian and my veggie roast was very nice. The staff were all very friendly, the girl that was our waitress (Darcey) was lovely and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

I love this place to the point I come back whenever I can. the food and staff are amazing. The place itself is nice inside and out and most importantly dog friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through.

What service! I inadvertantly booked for wrong day but staff bent over backwards to find us a table, then as soon as a bigger one was available (we had a large dog with us) they moved us. When the item we wanted to order was not available (2nd time), again they ensured we were compensated. Cannot fault our treatment (& dog was given lots if treats/pats). This pub is our local & I love it, improved so much in last few years. Thanks, we will be back.

Dine here about once a year and under new manager Andy. Our waitress Darcey made us very welcome and the place had a lovely atmosphere with clean tidy dining area. I had a CLT ciabatta which was delicious and fab value. My friend had lasagne but the kitchen didn't have sweet potato fries as an alternative. Darcey was happy to recommend a dessert and the chocolate brownie was excellent. Coffee was nice too. Not a bucket of sludge that is too strong. Good to see this lovely pub thriving.

We visited the pub for a quick bite with friends. The benue was clean and tidy, and our waitress D'Arcy, despite being very young was excellent. She took our orders promptly, checked with the kitchen they had exactly what we wanted and she ensured we had a the sauces we needed and gave a genuine check back about 5 minutes after the food had been delivered. For one so young she showed excellent customer service. The food was cooked well and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening out.

A large party of us had Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. We very much appreciated the table layout which enabled us to socialise properly, food was great & the service from our lovely waitress Darcy was excellent - thank you for a great time!

Just had a lovely meal for my birthday with my mum and husband. Mum had the cod, hubby had pie and I had some scampi with 3 scallops and had garlic bread and some onion rings. A bit of different things as the scampi was not a main dish. The scallops was part of another dish and the onion rings and garlic bread were side dishes only. It was absolutely delicious. I don't eat a lot of carbs these days so try avoiding chips if I can. Pudding was just as nice. Mum had just icecream and hubby had cheese cake. My choice was salted caramel sundae. Was a most amazing meal. Compliments to the chef and the waitresses for a memorable birthday meal.

Great experience at the Shipley Bridge today!! There were 11 of us all with different orders and needing refills a lot etc. Darcey was so fantastic - very attentive, smiley and accommodating!

The building is lovely with old oak beams, flagstone floors and an open fire, with ample parking. We were here for breakfast which was superb, and very reasonably priced. It’s a little off the beaten track but well worth a visit. We are intending another trip to try the dinner menu. Thank you Andy for a great breakfast, good coffee and attentive service.

It was our wedding anniversary so we decided to go somewhere different from our usual go to places. We are so glad we chose this little gem . We both had the rib eye steaks which were cooked to perfection. We both went for the caramel sundies for desert and they actually used fresh cream not that rubbish spray cream most places use .
