Ship Aground in Southwark

Proper traditional London Pub. Of particular interest to any London's burning fans. Beer was very good. An old fashioned place but full of atmosphere.

It was raining, we were pissed and we were looking for a place to have our Christmas Party. Then we found the Ship Around. It was proper dodgy, there were 3 really drunk Millwall fans, a fight going on outside, a load of regulars that sneered at us every time we ordered a drink, and a Boxer dog that peed on my chair. But it was that bad we honestly had THE BEST NIGHT ever! We are definitely going again very soon.

If I could give minus stars, I would. If you're female, avoid like the plague. Apparently the locals here have never seen a woman. Walked in to jeers and catcalling. Didn't even make it to the bar before deciding to leave rapidly, which was met with even louder chanting. It also smelt like a neglected public toilet. Wouldn't eat or drink here if my life depended on it. Genuinely a very odd experience. Went round to corner to another pub, told the bartender what had just happened and he didn't look remotely surprised!

Aparecimos y preguntamos si servían comida. No fue la respuesta. Creo que tampoco aceptan tarjetas. Pedí una botella de agua. Tomó 1 sorbo y no sabía bien (en realidad pensé que me habían dado chispas no todavía, pero no lo había hecho). Verifiqué la fecha y eso estuvo bien. Mi amiga lo olió y tomó un sorbo, luego lo comparó con su propia botella y estuvo de acuerdo en que no estaba fresco. Asumí que la señora se había quitado el sello justo antes de que me lo entregara como lo hacen algunos lugares, pero ninguno de nosotros la vio hacerlo. Podría haber estado abierto durante días o semanas, ¡pero definitivamente no estaba fresco! Los inodoros no eran geniales, el cerrojo colgaba en uno para que la puerta no se viera y no se veían limpios. El personal se despidió cuando nos fuimos, pero ese fue el mejor servicio al cliente que tuvimos. Definitivamente un pub para locales / clientes habituales en lugar de forasteros. No volvería!

Este es un lugar verdaderamente terrible. Es muy sucio y hostil de una manera que sugiere que el personal y los clientes habituales han cultivado el talento para un arte elevado. Ellos no toman tarjetas. Y parece que no les gustan las personas que no son uno de los asiduos. No te vayas Siempre.
