Having been to other restaurants where they serve veg food, this is best so far. They are specialised in Pure veg food which comes from the traditions of North India. All food items are authentic , handmade and cooked on order unlike other places where they just use frozen products for speed but quality gets missed. I would advice anyone to do visit there try Mooli Parantha, Allo paratha, makki methi parantha, chana bhatura, samosa, paneer pakoda and they hv lots of varitey in desserts which is again made by them . Overall. Good for Lunch/Breakfast Affordable Fresh handmade and freshly cooked North Indian Food Vegetarian/Vegan They also do delivery

Visited with family after they recommended it. On first impressions, it doesn't fill the mind with confidence as it seems somewhat outdated. The restaurant is very small and basic compared many of the others on Belgrave Road. However... don't let that fool you... its about the food. The menu is quite extensive and certainly traditional. Food is freshly made and brought to the table in a timely manner. I had the Chana Bhatura and it is nice, flavorsome and very filling. Certainly one of the better versions I've had. Often Indian food can be quite oily in restaurants, but this was not. So i was very happy with that! Being Vegan, I had to check which items were without certain ingredients and I was fine. I would say to double check as its not clearly indicated in the shop or printed menus. The restaurant offers delivery via one of the apps (can't remember which one). From the two visits I've made, the restaurant has a steady flow of customers. Worth a visit if you're in town.

Visited this restaurant for lunch, the food was prepared fresh and absolutely delicious. The service also matched the quality of the food and for a very reasonable price. Will definitely be visiting here again when in the area!!

We are busy eating our way along Belgrave and Melton Road and this week we visited Shere Punjab. It's not much to look at and inside is fairly basic. We arrived at 6.10pm and were the only ones in. We weren't told how to order so we sat down and started the waiting. At 6.20pm our order was taken; 6.35pm our starter arrived and at 7.05pm our 'mains' arrived. None of this is fancy food but during this period a number of people came and went with takeaways. We obviously weren't that important. The food is very nice but the surly service means we won't be back again.

Just seen a number of bad reviews for Shere Punjab, really don't know why! Been eating from here for a long time, takeaways are always ready to collect when they say they will be, and the food is fantastic. The Baingan bharta in particular is my favourite, but everything is great.

I used to to withhold fail order several times fro Shere punjab. And yes they did taste good for the price. But after repeatedly seeing infested food being served the Council finally announced it via their website. I really did love their food, but how dare have the huge level of scummy cooking area with rat droppings & urine.

I was after a filling snack type meal without the overhead of a formal restraurant. I bought one order of paneer parathas and was more than enough for 1 person. It was tasty and filling ...a little spicy for me but I'm sure it would appeal to the masses. Great value for what I paid!

We went there for quick luch today. They do the best Aaloo parotha (potatoe stuffed in roti). Place is nice and clean. Its a family run business, bit slow and inside the restaurant its very very cold. They dont have any heaters at all for their customers. We ordered Indian ginger tea which got cold within minutes. When we placed our eat in order, we ordered a take away at the same time. After finishing our meal and tea, we waited 30 minutes for our take away and everytime we ask how long, the old man comes and says 2 mins then after 10 mins he says 2 mins which took 30 mins.

Ordered a takeaway from here at around 8.00 pm with them stating the wait time was 20 minutes, I arrived 20 minutes later waiting for a member of staff to come out of the kitchen and actually serve me. I was then told to wait, I ended up waiting until 9 o'clock, the restaurant was shutting and this point and finally as my order came I realised I had been given the wrong order as they had given my order to someone else! The lady at the front even tried to persuade me to just settle and take the order that wasn't even mine! Had to then wait another 10 minutes for them to remake the food and as I paid I realised she was trying to overcharge me! No apology or anything!! Absolutely ridiculous and unbelievably rude staff. No care or concern for customers. Disgusting.

Arranged booking with owners Arrived on time 9:15pm ignored as owner having social chat on phone 9:25pm refused service Denied booking than still refused service reason "we are busy with take away orders" very rude and arrogant. Felt embarrassed and humiliated infront of my friends and family. As a punjabi guy my self i am disgusted we will never go again. Ment to give no rating accidently pressed to 2.

We walked in with our children and waited 10 minutes before someone came out to see us. We sat down whilst she went back into the kitchen and then came out another 10 minutes later waited at the till and asked us over the counter what we wanted, surely you come over to table we were sat at and take our order. We ordered some food and with this you get 2 roti's with it but we requested to have baturas instead. We ordered 3 dishes, so that is 6 baturas, we got only 4 and then she told us we said we wanted to 4, we didn't even say this. In the menu it is clearly written that you get 2 roti's with each dish and we ordered 3. Anyway the food was not all that either, I would not recommend this place. Customer service is absolutely a poling.

This is a great place for proper punjabi food, and reasonably cheap. I had my fav of channa and bhatura, it comes with 2 bhatura, an small dish of channa curry, sliced onions, cost £3.99 lovely flavour, proper home cooked food and good choice on the menu

Made a visit to have some vegetarian food, and we were not disappointed , the food service was slow but worth waiting for as everything was prepared fresh!! Whilst waiting we noted that loads of people came in for their takeaways and were served with a smile by a lovely young Punjabi lady. the food was authentic and truly delightful. This is a no frills place, not posh, but superb food and worth a visit!!

Orders 100 samosas from here to take away, we told them we would need them for 7.30 4 hours in advance. Come 8pm they still weren't ready. You'd think they'd have such a big order ready on time

We've been a few times and enjoyed a wide range of paneer dishes. The Paneer Burji is the best one.

Shere panjab is the best place to go to for aloo parathas. I've tried them at many other places but none compare to theirs. Their food tastes authentic and like it's home cooked. This means that service can be a little slow but it is worth it. It's also pretty decent value for money.

Its all about the food here. If you want a fine dining experience do not go here. However if you are willing to step out of the box and want freshly made, tasty, spicy Punjabi food that is different to the run of the mill indian restaurant/take-away and at a great price then go for it.

Food is cheap and can vary in taste, it's pot luck what you get and customer service is terrible. I would say avoid this place.

I have noticed presence of this place for sometime. With its name I was hoping to get authentic Panjabi food. We were planning to sit down and have a lunch. We were late, so decided to buy snacks, samosa, bread pakoda and panir pakoda. He told us that he does not keep any item ready, he fries them after the order. We found all those items were refried. Oil was smelling on all the snacks, practically uneatable. We had to throw away all the food. Chatney was nice and tasty.

Today the royal indian team were at the clarendon park christmas fair. I ordered the pau bhaji and for £5 they gave me such a dismal amount of food, absolute daylight robbery. Shame on them. I do not recommend.
