Tasty food with good size portions, and delivery has always been really quick

Had a lamb dish it was awful, 1 edible piece of lamb the rest was fat, bone and gristle and the sauce was bland. Garlic bread was lacking garlic and cooking. And the mushroom rice was lacking mushrooms. Won’t be going back

It's a n Indian takeaway so atmosphere is not that important

Boy can these guys cook. I have worked through a reasonable portion of their menu by now and they have never disappointed. This is absolute one or the best Indian takeaways in the land. The staff are noticeably polite and professional. Service is always quick and accurate. I cannot fault them for anything. Truly outstanding.

Food is class but service means won’t bother again. Had order confirmed at 945 then 45 minutes later cancel it leaving nowhere else to eat.

Lived in the area 12 year but this was my first visit. Recommended by a friend as good and I was not disappointed. It is a friendly place, smart for a takeaway, with seating. I love Indian food but a friend with me had never tasted Indian. Chatting with the guy talking the order my friend ordered something not too spicy not hot... and loved it. I chose a Rogan Josh with some extra spice and my friend tried a small amount and enjoyed it. Food is cooked for you so takes about 15 minute but you know it's fresh. A good choice and reasonable price and big portions. Will be going again.

Absolute gem and so Lucky to have this takeaway available to me ! From the service to food everything was top notch and more than what we could ask for . I’ve seen a review saying that food doesn’t come on time , absolute lie as we receive our food on time and if Lucky even earlier and still piping hot. The staff were lovely and helpful and the food reflected on this too! Was so flavourful and tasty and I would highly recommend you to try it out if you havn’t !!!

Because if you do then don't come here because it won't be. Bring a book to fill the time or order it online and state the collection time as 20 minutes earlier than the time you actually want to pick it up.

I've always enjoyed getting a takeaway from Sher Khan. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is great (Chicken Bon Bon is my favourite), and it's always ready when I go to collect. I'll definitely be getting goyod from here again, and again, and again.

The food was exceptional just a bit hotter than I remember.

I ordered the lamb tikka masala, the lamb was so tough / chewy I only managed to eat half of it. The sauce appeared to be a passanda sauce with something added to make it red, bright red! Far too sweet for a masala. Disappointing for the price we paid

Honestly this place is divine.Would 100% recommend from food all the way to service.Woman on phone was so polite and the recommended time for the food to come came on time.Naan was nice and soft and curry was just how I wanted it.The food and this place exceeded my expectations. Tried Junoon but not as good as this one. 10/10 recommend !

Used this place for last 15 years but sadly tonite is the last time we will. Items missing , no apologies, told driver would deliver on nxt trip which would be after our meal , lady was rude to my wife also and couldn’t advise if food had no gluten in which is ILLEGAL now . Food was ok , popadoms stale , food and service has gone down the pan whilst there prices have gone up. Avoid

Poppadoms we’re stale and curry was tasteless and watery definitely not worth the money. Only good bit was the dips.

Even though not local my parents have been for 20+ years and have ordered from here often. Although with price increase! the food is superb quality, Delicious, generous portions and well worth that extra few pounds Chicken tikka main, with medium plain curry (could do with double the amount sauce as delicious) chicken tikka phal very hot 🔥 but he loves it. Amazing food. The chicken tikka is so tasty. Tried lots of dishes and always so nice. Their naan breads are really fresh but favorite has to be the chicken chaat from the appetizers! A lovely friendly family team too 😊

Food was nice, good taste but sadly not hot, just warm and the Lamb was undercooked, therefore quite chewy, hopefully the food was cooked or reheated to above 75 degrees for food safety. They missed a Naan off the order but did come back out with it shortly after the initial delivery had been delivered which was good of them. Not sure I would order from there again as the temperature of the food is a concern

Lived in helsby for a few months and tried all the different Indians in Frodsham. Why didn’t I go here? It’s round the corner from My house! Ordered on a Saturday night - lashing down with rain - food came before the app told me it would be due. Delivered before time and nice and hot. They even phoned me just to check my address so the delivery driver could get to me promptly. Can’t fault customer service like that? Ordered poppadoms , starters (shami kebab etc) sauces and pickles , biryani and Korea. One of the best biryanis I have have ever had and the Korma was creamy and delicious. Shami kebab came with two omelettes and the sauces were unique (in a good way) the pink ‘mint’ sauce went perfectly with the kebab and salad. Price was very reasonable as well. A lot cheaper than a delivery from Frodsham. Cannot fault it. This will become our regular Indian takeaway from now on. Rachael and Gary (Helsby)

Expect a minimum 2hr wait for your food, ignore the countdown on the website. After waiting over 2hrs the delivery driver forgot half of our order and had to come back to drop the rest off. Food was excellent, service is terrible. It's a shame they continue to forget items from orders and the delivery times are shocking. I appreciate it may be busier on the weekends but the least they could do it give a courtesy phone call to advise on the wait.

Guy on the phone bordering on rude, sounded annoyed that I had called...Went to collect and was told cash only, would have been nice to hear that over the phone first. Main dish flavourless and watery like soup. Won't be ordering again.

Ordered a lamb bhuna after tasting it had no spice what so ever also lamb was really tough chewy and fatty and hardly any and actualy convinced was stewing beef , called them he explained they use no spice what so ever(says medium spice on menu!) no apology or offer to replace second time ive been in 2 years thought i give them another chance never again avoid a lot better in the area!!

Tried takeaway last week and again tonight for my partners birthday. I have to say it has on both occasions been exceptional. Beautifully hot, great flavours, plenty of it. My only complaint would be....... O, who am I trying to kid, there is no complaint. It is amazing, Thank you

I don’t even know where to start . This Indian takeaway is this best around here.From their food to their service everything is perfect . The shop has looks like it has been refurbished and looks very modern , which means they care about their environment . They have got a open plan kitchen so you can see what they are cooking and also top marks on hygiene.The staff are always friendly and are ready to help . At Christmas time they give Christmas cards out which I feel is really caring especially for customers . I have been going to this takeaway for year now and never have been disappointed.Keep up the hard work xxx

I don't often have take-aways so when I do have one it needs to be good. We usually have Chinese and because the last couple have not been up to scratch, we decided to try Indian food. We ordered a simple meal for two of us and it was delicious. The take-away looks like it's been recently refurbished - it's clean and modern inside which helps reassure you that they care about their environment, the preparation and the customer. Really good food and reasonably priced. Recommended.

Sher Khan is simply the tastiest Indian takeaway in the area. with good quick delivery. we have tried the rest and Sher khan is the best, and they have consistently high standards as we have ordered from them for many years. If you want a brilliant curry at great prices this is the place too go!

Myself and my daughter ordered from here on recommendation from a friend, having tried a local Indian takeaway and being extremely disappointed. I have to say that the food was lovely and piping hot when it arrived and tasted freshly cooked. Yes it was £1 delivery but for an almost 5 mile round trip (plus I didn't have to go out in the rain) that's not bad. We did wait a little longer than the 30 minutes we were advised but hey if I'm expecting food to be cooked FRESH and packed and delivered then that's not bad going! Also, a busy takeaway is a good sign in my opinion. Yes there is a delivery charge but if they are having to pay someone to bring my food to my front door without me having to trudge out in this awful wet and windy weather then I'm more than happy to pay the £1 towards the driver's wages!

I find recent negative reviews really hard to believe are genuine. Sher Kahn delivers consistently high quality food. Have NEVER had a bad meal here. Delicious thick sauces. Freshly prepared meals. High quality ingredients. Open kitchen so you can see the food being prepped

First time we have tried this Indian. Food arrived earlier than expected which was good. Starter's and mains all very nice, good sized portions and reasonably priced. Will be using again.

....deliver an acceptable standard of fodder, sadly. I, nay, we can safely say that writing a negative review about a local food outlet affords us no pleasure. However, we have regularly given this place the benefit of the doubt over the past 4/5 years, during which they have never failed to disappoint. ALL sauces have always been ‘thin’, almost as if they add water to the mixture to make it go further.

We ordered for ourselves and friends for a gathering for our friends preferred takeaway venue. We are enthusiastic Home cooks of authentic Indian food. We were assured after our online booking that our food would be ready in 15 minutes. I thought this optimistic so arrived after 30 mins to be left waiting another 15 minutes. We ordered more expensive options to sample the best options. The tandoori king prawns were good but 2 prawns for nearly £7 was a lot for 2 prawns. The rest of our food was average but not really worth the long delay or the price of the food. The flavours did not return the promised results sadly. I very rarely give average reviews but have this time. Our friends did enjoy theirs though!

Take away always arrives efficiently and with correct order. Starters and sides always excellent but after trying several different mains tend to find they all taste the same. Meat not always of best quality.

El personal era muy displicente y me hizo sentir muy incómoda. En realidad la comida recibida era muy normalito. No volveré y advertían amigos locales del tema. We ordered almost 70 pounds worth of take away but I had not used this place before but did read some good reviews. The Korma was bland and the Madras seemed to be full of pepper. Both my dad and I sneezed after a few mouthfuls. The naan bread was fresh looking but much thicker than I normally receive and not very tasty. All in all we threw at least half of our meals away and will try somewhere else in future.

Top indian takeaway, that always gets a 5 on the food hygiene rating. Never have a bad meal from here and have used them for years. Prices are about right and the staff are always very nice and you can see your food being cooked. They can do delivery and never take too long, they will also always give you a heads up if they are busy.

I thought it might have been my starvation bias as I was so hungry at the time, but nope- heated-up leftovers the next day taste just as amazing (if not better?!). >The Onion Bhaji starter was delicious - it was really well blended, I think it had peppers in it too.
