Bang average .not worth another visit .nice and clean ,friendly staff.food not top notch .theres better places at more reasonable prices in town .

as you entre this very nice bright restaurant you get a very warm welcome and it is good on the CONVID-19 Set Up as well this gives you a safe feeling and so you can enjoy your fresh cook meals and they have a take away as well the food is great just like the staffP.S We Will Be Back Soon

back in Boston not bean hear in this very nice clean safe café the food is cook fresh and hot wen it comes to you as with most of the cafés you sanitize your hands and wait for staff to come and take your details and show you to your table during our meal i was watching as one of the staff was clearing the tables and cleaning the tables and chairs (ect) he made a very good job of it and this gave my support worker and i a feeling of a very safe meal to all the staff i say thank you we will be back soon and Please Stay Safe Always

while in boston want a change from fish and chips (ect) why not go to this very nice clean place nice and bright very good food and staff very well set out with tables and chairs good menu you may eat in or have a takeaway P.S.i must say that on the day we was there a male member of staff fell for my support worker hope he is ok but he was talking to me and turned round with a tray with our plates on it and slipt over the step the tray and he fell to the floor i said in a joke to him have you fell for my support worker lol he made a joke of it we will be back soon

I Visit shephards once a week as my brother enjoys eating here on our days out. You have a Choice to eat in or takeaway freshly made sandwhiches, Bread, cakes and other nice treats. We almost always eat In. The ladies who serve us can be very Welcoming and friendly, they will happily answer any concerns you may have and help you bring your Drinks to the Table. But on some days we Won't even be acknowledged that we have entered the Cafe and can be Ignorant towards us and Genuinely seem to be in a Bad Mood, so the Customer service can be a Hit and miss sometimes. We ordered the Cheese and Onion Quiche and a Jacket Potato with Cheese, they were Freshly Pre-made so they Arrived at my Table before i even went to sit back Down after Ordering which was Brilliant. The Quiche was Delicous, Most cheese and Onion Quiches I have were very Bland but this was Filled with Taste. My other Gripe with Shephards is that the Cutlery, Mugs and Bowls often have Dried food still stuck to them, Two weeks ago I had Dry Mayonnaise in my Salad Bowl, I Dont Make a Huge fuss out of it as I just get another Bowl or Mug but it can be Off putting Sometimes. It would Be nice if they had new Menus on the Tables as the old ones are very Sticky and Not very Nice to Touch. I'd recommend the food as it is Delicious. They also Prepare Free Choice Hot meals such as Shepherds Pie, Beef and Gravy and Cauliflower Cheese with your Choice of Different Vegetables, Roast Potatoes and Sauces.I enjoy the Food very Muvh, Enough for me to look past the Issues I had mentioned and will Keep on Visiting.

a very warm welcomes you wen you go into this very nice clean cafe the food is always nice and hot and the tables are set out so you have plenty leg room (ect) it is a very nice clean bright place and the service is 2nd to none i award this cafe a mark of Excellent marks

ok bean quite awhile eating hear but went today it is very nice clean and bright place bean re done out and i think they made a very good job as well the food is cook to order new menus great food and staff we was both well look after by JODIE a very nice young girl i would like to thank her for looking after my support worker and i must say we found all the staff very good and i like the new look we will be back

Stopped here around 12-30pm on Saturday 30th March before watching Boston United play. Service was fast and friendly, ample table, clean and the food was very nice. Recommend.

Passed this bakery when shopping in Boston and popped in to get a loaf as they had several different sorts on display in the window.Good service and excellent flavour. Great selection of cakes and pastries too. Definitely worth seeking out rather than buying run of the mill from a supermarket.

Either sitting in or take away.Nice pleasant helpful staff. Varied choice of breads ,cakes,sandwhiches. Clean and tidy, always go back for more.

Went here with the other half, her mother and Little Miss Fussy. The mother has MS and only one leg so is in a wheel chair and has very limited mobility. After trying to get into the seating area twice the staff came out and move tables (not bolted to the floor,just look it) to give her room. The mother and Miss Fussy had sandwiches (one made to order and not on the menu) the bread was fantastic (I tried) and the filling very generous. The other half had had Lasagne, chips and mixed veg and ham, egg and chips for myself.Not being chips fans both me and Fussy were surprised how good they were, everything that should be hot was. Very nice selection of sweet and savoury pastries and some great bread. Will be going back soon.

After returning after many years and having been pleasantly surprised we returned.. While the bakery part is still very good we won't be returning to cafe side!! Not impressed by the sanswiches/rolls. They need to start wrapping them up or covering up with glass domes to stop them drying out. We did not complain about them. It's a shame because they used to be very good!!

this is a very clean restaurant but no good for wheelchairs or mobility scooters as the gangways are not quite wide the food is very good and hot and seating and tables are fixed to the floor

Busy friendly cafe access via bakers shop, excellent cakes and tea, staff very helpful - self service counter - plenty of tables.

We were really looking forward to a meal and drink in this bakery but the staff all looked really unhappy and as if they would rather be somewhere else.Yes I am sure they would rather be somewhere else but at least pretend to be friendly.

Excellent food and beverages, wide range of cakes breads etc, meals are yummy too. Nice and easy walk into town, just handy to pop in if you just want a cuppa. also very very clean.

We have visited this restaurant many times but only for coffee and cake. We decided to have a lunch there last week and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had an omelette and salad , and my partner had cottage pie accompanied with a good selection of vegetables the price was very reasonable

Having walked into town and having time on my hands before travelling home, I visited Shephards for the first time today.

After not visiting for many years, we decided to try the cafe and bakery again. . Pleasant surprise!! The staff (who had changed from the old regime) were very friendly and helpful. The coffee and filled baps were lovely and fresh. . And the bread bought from the bakery was very nice too. (pack up next day). We will be back!!

Called in after not visiting Shepherds for years (must be over 15) couldn't believe how lovely the sandwiches and coffees where!!! We will definitely be going back again next time we are in Boston. So much cheaper and nicer than the department store!!

We dropped in here for a quick lunch & had a lovrly jacket potato with prawns and a lovrly salad which you could help yourself to . Great service & lovely food !!!

Come here a few times a year. The sandwiches are really fresh and nice. Lovely clean place to keep warm. The hot food always looks good and I believe the ingredients are sauced local. Will be back again.

I've been going here for years, and have never been disappointed. Their breads and cakes are of the highest order. The few weeks that they do hot cross buns around Easter are worth waiting for, superior in every way to their chain rivals on the high street.

We entered via a very tempting bakery and went to the rear . lots of helpful and pleasant staff in this family run business. very reasonable prices. I had fish and chips which were nice but not as goos as fish and chips from a fish shop! Ver pleasnt though . My wife had a ham salad. teh ham was amazing , thick cut proper roast ham . She then had access to a salad bar which was plentiful and fresh . She got the better deal by far , next time I will have a salad
