Sheperds in Rushcliffe

Llamamos hoy para un viernes relajante y eso es lo que obtuvimos. Gracias a Sam y al equipo por un espacio limpio y seguro.

He estado aquí cientos de veces, incluso para la cena de Navidad (que no recomendaría probar) A menudo venía a desayunar hasta que comenzaron a racionar las salchichas. Hoy pensé que vería si el conteo de salchichas había terminado. Dios mío, fue el peor desayuno que he tenido. Claramente recalentado desde el día anterior. El tocino se desmoronó cuando intenté comerlo. Las salchichas eran tan duras como una bota vieja. Y aquí hay una divertida. . . . . . Lucho por caminar. Todos los asientos al lado del bar donde no hay escalones estaban reservados. Obviamente fui más allá en el área no reservada. Al sentarme, vi por qué los otros asientos estaban reservados. Es para que el personal desayune y descanse. Me tuve que reír. Repugnante. Me sorprendió que realmente comieran las ofrendas incineradas. Un cliente se acercó a uno de los miembros del personal de descanso y le dijeron "no estoy de servicio en este momento" qué le ha sucedido a este lugar. Se ha ido al baño con seguridad.

Preciosa comida de carvery hoy todo cocinado a la perfección rellenando bolas increíbles roasties perfectos disfrutamos muchísimo. El mejor asador que he tenido en mucho tiempo.

Como persona discapacitada, es difícil para mí esperar en la cola de las tiendas de campaña, al igual que llevar platos de comida. El sistema se paga por adelantado y se une a la cola. Elegí el pescado con patatas fritas y el camarero vino y me dijo que estaba listo para recoger, lo que mi hija hizo por mí. Me arrepentí de haber escogido el pez, ya que era algo bastante blando y horrible, de origen desconocido. Sin sabor Me dije que no debía volver a elegir pescado a menos que las especies lo mencionaran específicamente. Decidí darle a esta cadena otra oportunidad en un restaurante diferente. Esto solo confirmó mi desilusión y juré no ir a ninguna de las tiendas de esta cadena nunca más.

Fui con un amigo a almorzar Carvery. Pedimos un plato de carvery estándar y había una selección de carne, gamma o cerdo. Tuve la carne que tengo que decir que era sabrosa y tierna, la salsa de cebolla también era muy sabrosa, pero ahí es donde terminó. Recibimos 2 rebanadas de carne cada una, que pensé que era muy tacaña, el chef también era muy bueno para cortar rebanadas delgadas. Las verduras estaban aguadas y recocidas, la comida estaba tibia. Tuve que visitar el retrete y era obvio que no son inspeccionados regularmente. No entraré en detalles, pero bastará decir que no me impresionó. Los cantantes de ópera en ciernes pueden alegrarse de saber que los cubículos de los Caballeros no tienen cerrojos de seguridad, por lo que se requiere una interpretación de tu canción favorita para evitar incursiones no deseadas mientras estás 'ocupado'. La decoración del pub era agradable y había una variedad de áreas y tamaños de mesas para atender a parejas o fiestas más grandes. Aunque no regresaré. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Now expensive for what it is. Use to go in the week for a cheap meal with family but prices have gone up. Staff lovely and welcoming.

Came here for my sisters birthday and it was our first time visiting. And I must say I won’t be returning anytime soon. Not only did my buzzer go off when my food wasn’t ready, when I did receive it, the extra toppings that I paid for on my burger was no where to be seen. I then waited for a fresh one which was eventually correct. Then they brought out my sisters pudding out which was also incorrect! Very disappointed in the service here tonight. And they offered to give us the money back for the pudding and very briefly apologised. Quite slow and the staff had no interest in the customers.

I visit the Shepherds at least twice a month. The food is excellent value and the restaurant, which has just been revamped comfortable and clean. The staff are always very helpful and friendly and clearly work very hard! Three carveries for around £15.00 and the option of freshly cooked pizza. What's not to like?

Loved the crispness of the pizzas and the burgers was lovely, and decent priced pints, great service loved it all.

These restaurants were Crown Carveries but rebranded as Sourdough. Although a carvery is still an option, you can also choose from an extensive pizza menu. These are made to order and so you are assured of a good tasting pizza. A small salad bar is included. We like a carvery for Sunday lunch but thought that we'd have a change; we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. If you are happy to collect your choice from the kitchen area, then this is worth a visit. Great value too.

Just visited the new Stonehouse Carvery at the Shepherds! Wish we had just drove past! Beef was like shoe leather, limited choice of veg, and don't even get me started on the mashed pots! I couldn't even get them off the spoon onto my plate they were so dry and stodgy! NOTHING was hot. Really was very very poor.

We had not been for a few months and was not too pleased with the only warm food. Such a shame the meat is very good but the rest was luke warm.Do regret not saying anything. It looks nice now it has been decorated and a new carpet and serving area. Please turn the heat up on the lamps and stop selling burnt roast spuds. Spoiling the ship........as the saying goes. Children should be made to stay in one place also afew were running round and noisy.

We often come here for breakfast and carvery but they've been refurbished and new menu including the carvery but now handmade pizzas. The food is outstanding,had the pizza not only is it a large size,amazing value and includes chips and salad of which you have the amount you want. The taste of the pizza was delicious,it was plentiful in toppings and cheese and cooked to perfection,one of the best I've ever had. The service was superb,Kate,ash and deano were friendly,helpful and polite,couldn't do enough to help us as my husband has disabilities. The decor is warm and inviting in its grey tartan effect,seats comfortable and homely. I'm so impressed with what they've done to the menu and decor. I'd encourage anyone to go and try

If your looking for a good lunch at the right price this is the one , it's a no frills cheap and cheerful pub ,the food is not the best quality but at those price's you can't complain too much.

cheap and tasty, good choice can get busy , i can't fault the meals we have had. plenty of choice on the carvery but like everyone else the plate gets over filled and you walk out stuffed , worth a try.

Have been several times with family and friends for Carvery lunch. A few choices of meat and self service vegetables, fill your plate if you like!?

Great value for money perfect for a family, you can choose what size meal you would like they are priced accordingly.

this restaurant has gone down the pan we have used it quite a few times but im afraid its not what it was, a few weeks ago we went for the carvery but the food was not very good from the time it took to get served and to get to the table (2mins) the meal was only luke warm and tasteless but we gave it another chance so booked for 9 people they where not very busy but at the meat counter the carver just ignored us and carried on doing something else then there was no white meat so two had to go without apart from one quickly deep fried chicken which was nt very nice we complained but to no avail manager saying she did nt know how many customers she was likely to have (what restaurant does) sorry you have had your chance

love the breakfast go atlease twice a week. very good value for money, friendly staff and a nice pub =)
