Lovely food hot when it came good service

Nice bar. Very inexpensive food and drinks. Lots of food options. Food was ok. Drinks were decent. Plenty places to sit.

My oh my, whatta guy! I ordered a coupla these hella strong pear ciders (made from 100% pear), not only were they stronger than an Ox's gluteous maximus; they were as sweet as a trickle of olympean nectar. My man the bartender, not sure of his name but from his noble features I could tell he was of the blood of old Valyria, offered me two for £5.90 AND offered to keep my second one in the fridge till I was ready. Eventually after suppin' the first I summoned Old Val with a glance, promptly my second beverage arrived ready, crisp, cold, condensation drippings from the neck of the bottle, for my eager consumption. 10/10, 5* out of 5, come get bevvied at Loyds!

I ordered a classic steak and chips, medium. I received this very dry and well done steak. The poor staff were very busy, and I did not want to bother them on such a busy night, but poor food quality here

Fairly meh, food arrived barely above room temperature, the loaded chips were anything but loaded for £6 poor value for money. Sent them back came back with more toppings but nuked and greasy. Staff were okay, pub was okay, tables were wet and sticky. Cheap booze, shame the food wasn't at least hot, you expect standard level food but you want it fresh and hot.

Classic Wetherspoons. Nothing crazy, but what you expect. They had the Steak Club on Tuesday which was quite nice. You can choose a soft drink or alcoholic drink to go with it (more expensive with the alcohol). Also depending on the sides it can be cheaper. Restaurant seemed clean and service was friendly.

Noisy, grotty dump. Not enough staff. Dirty glasses everywhere and ages getting served. Even cheap ale can't save it.

Went to The Water Works last night and was served by Mikayla (sorry if I spelt the name wrong) super friendly and recommended a cocktail that was fab. Thank you.

I went here for a drink. We used the app and it took ages to come. In future I would go to the bar. On the plus side, it was Saturday night and it was a great atmosphere. I didn't have any food so can't comment on that.

Typical spoons experience. Drinks came quickly to say how busy it was on a Friday night! Nice outside seating area, plenty of space!

Service was a bit slow but the breakfast itself was worth waiting for. (Large vegetarian)

Go for breakfast quite early and regularly 😋 Always a smile but hate it at night being disabled and dealing with nobs that can't handle ale properly! Don't have steaks in any spoons! All like shoe 👞 leather

They gave me the wrong drink and i asked the manager to change it and she said she can’t because ive had a sip of the drink then she started being ride and then told me to go away.

Didn't eat so cannot comment about food. Extremely slow service there were 6 bar staff serving however it was not busy to warrant waiting over 20 minutes yo be served. I moved to the opposite end of the bar due to waiting 20 minutes and was told bluntly by a female member of staff to move as I was stood on the wrong place. I apologised and advised I had been waiting 20 minutes further down which is why I had moved. I observed her to roll her eyes as she ignored my comment. Had i not been with a large group of friends some who had already gotten drinks I would have left due to the poor customer service. When I eventually was served the bottle of Peroni I did buy for my partner was warm I asked for a cold one or a replacement as it was warm I was refused. I will not visit this venue again if this is the service. I work a high stressed and busy job but I would never speak to clients abruptly or ignore them manners cost nothing!

Can be a bit of a daunting atmosphere ( not the staff's fault but Sheffield is not a nice place to visit at the moment)

It's a weatherspoons so you know what to expect food wise but this is a great pub in a good location in the city centre

It’s a great bar except for the service is terrible, 8 staff behind the bar, 2 serving and people queueing to get served at the bar. Why not just stand at the bar like we have done for decades in this country. It makes it really hard to enter and exit the bar and move around in side. It’s barmy.

Manager gaslit me into thinking she gave me my drink when she didn’t, I literally had all my receipts and she didn’t even talk to me face to face when I asked for her. Manager was blonde in a ponytail, It was 12 July 2024, Friday night 9-10pm

Its ok for price, but that's it really. Toilet upstairs , table not cleared had to do it myself. It attracts a lot of homeless people outside. Overall it was ok had nice meal

Visited the place last Sunday.. it was a bit quiet...was greeted very well by a guy named Ashish. Service over the counter was impeccable and the food was good. Will defo visit again

Hands up, I’m not a Wetherspoons fan but my son at uni convinced me it’s a cool place to hang out and he is right! Housed in a beautiful building with a delightful terrace complete with fountain view, I must say the venue is great! Even more so, we were extremely pleased with our half roast chicken and burger meals, cooked to perfection with great food presentation. Drinks are cheap as Wetherspoons is known for, so am pleased to have our Leffe Blonds at 2/3 or half the price compared to other venues. To top it all off, we had excellent service from every staff who dealt with us! Super well done guys, keep up the great work! We are looking forward to more sessions at yours in the future, definitely a Wetherspoons leader!

I work as a cleaner at the waterworks pub and the atmosphere is great. A very friendly atmosphere. The food is very nice and always presented well. The service is great.

Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are always friendly to! Myself and a few friends always go on the Tuesdays as they have a steak offer for that day! Great quality in food and always cooked the way I've asked, would definitely recommend!

Love the atmosphere, the staff are all lovely. My meal comes right on time EVERYTIME!!! Easily best spoons in Sheffield. The pub manager is a barrel of laughs every time I walk in also. 5 STARS FROM ME.

Another unusual Wetherspoons. I always like to find a Wetherspoons when we are on our travels. Not the most usual building we have come across but all the same interesting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good as usual. Table's were clean and tidy. Usual good standard. Another one for our list.

The service was awful and racist. We were asked to leave because my friend (with ID) bought a beer for me (without ID but obviously of legal age). We were ready to leave and did not complain, but he kept threatening us that he will call the police and let other pubs know even if we go back to get our ID. So retro I thought I was in 1950s Africa.

Great day sat al fresco enjoying the summer at last everyone in a great happy mood.

Service was shocking swore as she placed food on table as plate was hot. Curry was nice but quite runny and there was a bit of plastic lid from the container in it which became apparent towards the end of eating. All other elements not great, nann cold, poperdoms covered in mucky grease. Samosas and onion bhaji over cooked on outside but raw and cold in middle. Not even asked if things were OK when clearing away even though they could see a lot was left. Then asked to replace shoes as taken off and you have to be fully clothed in a weather spoons. Less vidulant when clearing tables as empties were left with us after staffs comment on shoes. Staff are unpolite. After a while items were removed by what later seemed to be an area manager (will explain shortly). Stated he would get a manger to speak to us and then proceeded to sit and discuss the decor of the pub while looking directly at us. Not a great experience. Won't return.

Classic Spoons. Cheap but decent drinks. Cheap but really tasty fish and chips. Showing the Euros football too which was a bonus as you don't usually get live sport in Wetherspoons.

Only Wetherspoons that has music on in the city centre. I meet my step dad here every week for a catch up. Great service and fantastic prices.

Visited this morning for breakfast with friends and I won’t be returning. The eggs on the breakfast looked liked they been run over and the breakfast as a whole was cold. I feel that the kitchen staff need more training. The toilets looked like they not been cleaned in days.

The food was good, same as any other spoons. The service was appaling, I have never been so mistreated as a paying customer. The staff was incredibly short with me, she later went and started talking to the rest of the staff while looking at me and made me incredibly uncomfortable to the point of tears. Do not go here if you don't want to be gossiped about.

The menu is always absolutely abysmal as they usually have only half of the options available (both drink and food). This visit the fryer was broken so couldn't have the things we came here for. The tables are always dirty and service is incredibly slow, only come for the convenience of the location. EDIT: Dont know why I ever return except for ease but it's always a terrible experience. This time we ordered pizza, 10 minutes later "we've run out of dough" so changed for a cheese burger. Burger arrived with onion on the plate not on burger and n o c h e e s e. How? They fixed it by bringing me a slice of cheese on its own private plate. Laughably incapable.

£2.80 for a pint of doom bar. Nothing else really to say. Looks ok. Service is good. Food is the usual fair but on the cheaper side.

Abigail more focused on her boyfriend than serving customers. Also refused us cocktails when other staff members were serving their friends.

Extremely family friendly, lovely and decent facilities.

Partner used the ladies toilets, absolutely disgusting. Stink or urine, not been cleaned, toilet seats missing, absolutely revolting and no excuse really. Doesn’t take much to check them regularly and give them a swill out! Shame as the pub itself is in a fabulous building which used to be lovely and it really does spoil it!

Got far too pissed up but what I can remember it was good. Its our go to bar. My friends a strongbow original drinker and there's not many bars that do it. Plus it's cheap as chips

Met some old work colleagues in there and we stayed all night. Table service was fine, and the loaded chips we shared amongst ourselves were really good.

Variety of food which is of good quality. All types of drinks cold and hot. Value for money if you visit . Friendly staff. This is all what you need.

25 mins on a Friday afternoon to get served at the bar. Bar staff oblivious to the order of the queue, people walking out due to waiting so long, what a shambles ...if you want a drink before your show at Sheffield City Hall, don't go here you will miss the show

Sticky floor at the bar can't take away from friendly and polite staff, cheap drinks and good food.

Excellent city centre location, perfect for a City Hall visit. Friendly staff and one of the nicest pizzas that I have eaten in a long time, fresh and tasty with a lovely thin and perfectly cooked base. Every mouthful was a treat. Thank you.

The place could do with a good clean especially the light fixtures as we couldn't help noticing the cobwebs and dust.

We visited Sheffield for the weekend and decided to eat at Sheffield Waterworks. The pub was lively but we were still served promptly. The bar staff were polite and attentive and our food arrived relatively quickly for a busy, city centre pub. I think the food was good value for money and we would definitely eat here again.

This was one of, if not the best Wetherspoons I’ve been in terms of service. I was happily surprised! Super fast and attentive service.

Ideally situated for Sheffield City Hall - travelled in by tram for a show and needed a meal beforehand (& it was pouring !!). A Weatherspoons pub, so you know exactly what you're getting - good value food/coffee. Friendly staff, clean and great venue, if a bit noisy !! Unfortunately the toilets weren't great - not clean and smelly - otherwise all good.

Off the Wetherspoons available in the Sheffield City centre, strange but you always feel one is better than another, and Sheffield is no different. This is still a Wetherspoons but under their No 1 band, all the usual Wetherspoons offers are available. We ate here, and while one of our dishes was not right to start with, they quickly replaced it.

Not your usual spoons, the ambience and layout is very unique. The building looks gorgeous from outside and features a gallery/loft style floor inside. Menu is the standard Weather spoons menu, so not commenting on that. Staff was happy to help and served with a smile.

Worst selection of cider I've seen in any Wetherspoons Pub anywhere in the country. Great staff but I won't be going in again

Felt so safe here, after getting unwanted attention and looking visibly uncomfortable the staff here came and escorted the male out and brought over security in case it was necessary. There was no real “fuss” about the situation and the lady was so lovely when she noticed we didn’t welcome the company. Really speedy service too, and the cocktails were so lovely. Nothing to fault!

Had the misfortune of visiting this establishment on 25/01/24. Firstly the place could do with a good clean , but seeing as I was visiting my granddaughter who's at uni I didn't make a fuss . I ordered ham egg and chips, very basic meal , no garnish . I'm eating a bit of everything when I then notice my egg is not very well cooked actual clear egg white , again I didn't complain as my granddaughter was paying . Fast forward to Friday night 7 o'clock and I'm in absolute agony , vomiting and diarrhoea. I made no link to this until my husband asked what I had eaten the whole day before and it was when I said I hadn't eaten all day except at Wetherspoons. I'd just like you to know that I have spent the WORST 2 days of my life up until today . I will never ever eat at your establishment again .

Didn't have food but the drinks were great and a very friendly atmosphere.

Ordered food and drinks using the app. Waited 25 minutes for the food but no drinks arrived, when I asked the person serving the food about this drinks was told she only does food. Eventually someone came to check my drinks and when they arrived my wife's large red wine was in a half pint glass, we asked if it could be in a wine glass but told they had no wine glasses left. Also there was one bottle of mayo for the entire pub. Food was cold and like a savers menu McDonalds burger. This was at 5.00 on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't even that busy.
