Shawarma Place in Leicester

Several weeks ago grabbed traditional rice & chicken with accompanied m8xed veg .Wasn't too impressed was rather oily , chicken was dry texture was Average I'd give it 4/10 not too impressed

On October 2nd, I placed an order for two chicken shawarmas. The chicken tasted bad and reeked of spoilage. We threw it away after we had a bite. I won't recommend anyone about this place.

This used to be the best shawarma in Leicester, wraps used to be £3/£3.50 each and with 50% off every 1st of the month on the whole menu. I went there today and the prices have gone up to £6/£6.50 on the wraps and they don’t do the 50% off discount on the 1st of the month anymore as they are under new management. I asked for a couple of chips and a small spoonful of hummus on one of the wraps and was asked to pay £2 extra. Definitely not going there again.

I remember it used to be the best shawarma place in the area.. about 2 years ago it went down the hill so I stopped to go there.. I went there today after long time and it is still disappointing, shawarma wrap was cold, meat has no taste only good thing is homemade bread I won’t go there anymore I think

The Grilled menu here is 5 star. Delicious chicken and lamb melts in the mouth. We loved it. The place is busy the staff work well together. The atmosphere is relaxed.

Good food esp lamb quzi. Such tender meat. Really good lamb kebabs. Chops weren't much juicy but rest of the food was amazing. Good quantity too. Nice and helpful staff.

Went here as our usual was closed. Wish i hadnt bothered as food is not very nice , a few mouth fulls and it went in the bin. Very greasy , undercooked , salad not very fresh chips cold in the middle and staff not very welcoming. Waste of money the one down the road is alot better !! Go tasty shawarmas down the road its alot better then this place.

I ordered shawarma with rice over the phone and they served me shawarma with fries. When I request it for change chef argued with me. He was so rude with me and the food was terrible too Not going to visit this place again

One of the worst customer service and i ordered one shawarma they ask me to wait 20min after 20min whn i ask my shawarma the guy with the beared got rude. As well as i ordered one shawarma and 1 chicken burger without even informing me they added chips and drink with it and charged me £9. Shocked

Hygiene is something very unknown topic to the staff. Restaurant is very dirty, toilets and door handles absolutely filthy. Customer service below zero. No toilet roll available, no towels to dry your hands available either. Food is relatively cheap and eatable.

Went in for some fresh naan as they are very nice and very good value. Only to be told that they can't serve me just the naan bread as they are too busy. They have a sign on the counter advertising the naan bread and also on the board at the back. Even when I explained I had done a 20 minute drive just for these, they still refused to serve me. Would never go back again.

Poor behaviour and Poor professionalism by staffs. Not clean. Food not testy at all. Size of portion is very small. Unclean sitting areas.

Right I go in on its grand opening and what a bloody joke! They said had no food! Wad chops,ribs,lamb/chicken shish in the glass. Then said had no charcoal. They had another 2 15kg bags of it. But a European family go in. Get seated and looked after! I think if your face doesn't fit you're not welcome. Never use this place. Staff are rude. It won't last long as loads better shawarma down narborough Rd. Plus as walked out there was a used needle near the brickwork at the back so. Not safe for children either!

Ate here on Saturday night. Sat down the far end towards the toilet. Plugged in fan heater on the table, owners children on a table opposite all coughing and spluttering whilst watching noisy clips on YouTube. Food came relatively quickly. Asked for chilli sauce and garlic Mayo…served in tiny pots. The salad was dire and frozen cucumber looked decidedly awful. Meat part was ok. Having been to wash my hands after the (very nice) chicken wings I suspect my hands carried more problems after I went in that room. I will eat elsewhere in future.

New food place unlocked couple of months ago 😍 we love this place, as a couple we regularly eat there. The service they give is excellent, staff are very friendly. Always travel from Cov because of their tasty shawarma 😋

Turkish Shwarma and Kebabs made with fresh bread from Tandoor. Very tasty and good value. Definitely worth checking out. Place is clean. Eat in, or take away. They have card payments as well something that make restaurants in Narborough Road don't do.

Really friendly family ran place. First time i ever tried schwarma out of curiousity and was not dissapointed at all. Food was lovely!

The chicken shawarma portion was way too small for £6 ...they just put shavings of chicken and it was like eating a salad roll.

I would like to give a zero but cannot Do NOT EAT THE FOOD HERE had a lamb wrap and it went in the bin the lamb wasn't cooked it was literally raw never again AVOID!!!!!!!!

Very friendly service, good portions (bit large even!) - seems like a nice family run place. We (family of 4 tourists) enjoyed some nice shoarma and fries, Turkish bread & wraps. And good luck finishing medical school, doctor! ;-)

Just want to let you know about this company A phone was stolen from someone with disabilities and given to this shop. The phone was answered representing the company. They were told this phone was stolen and belonged to family, and situation explained yet they refuse to give me the phone saying they don't know. The place is doing something dodgy. Police have been contacted regarding this. Just a heads up

This is my first time in Leicester with the missus, we stopped off at Shawarma Place. The staff were very welcoming and the food was outstanding. I've travelled the UK from top to bottom and been to far too many kebab/shawarma house's. I can honestly say the shawarma ordered was the best I've had. Definitely worth checking this place out!! 10*

Popped in here purely as I was passing by and needed food. The place is disgustingly filthy inside but the food is absolutely top notch and the staff are friendly as you like. Yes I will go again and I don’t care that the place is dirty. The food is lovely. The breaded naan is fresh as they come and it is cracking value.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by staff members, having advertised something clearly in the menu for a fix price then trying to charge my son £4 extra stating thats an old menu. Robbing so an so's Wouldn't recommend this place

We do buy naan bread from this place. They do 3 for £1 which great price for very good tasty bread.

Kebab na wysokim poziomie(sądzę że lepszy niż w Doner Master) świeże sałatki dobre mięso (kurczak) własny sos nie jak w większości gotowiec! Solidne porcje Pizza Calzone też na pełnym wypasie. Warto odwiedzić i zasmakować. Obecnie coś się zmieniło więc nie mogę powiedzieć jak to teraz wygląda

I bought 4 mixed shawerma and took home. All of us got diarrhea. Won't go there again

Note how this place was getting 5 star reviews before Covid and now mostly 1 and 2 star. Such a great shame. What is the reason? Well basically prices have gone up and portion sizes halved. Such a shame as this used to be a good place. Whichever fool runs this place obviously thinks he can rip off his customers with impunity. Not so. For anyone in the area avoid this place until they revert back to how they were. Until then the Shwarma place on the other side of the road and bridge is half the price and Cyprus Kebabs is double the volume!

They give you so little amount. Their large was extremely small similar to the tortillas in McDonald's. After buying from this place I still had to cook cuz it was literally like 3, 4 bites.

Well it was served hot, unfortunately not enough chicken too much salad, cools the chicken down quickly, it would be good if chicken was added liberally.

Sometimes they will get your orders correct, sometimes not. Food is fresh and the naans are good, but like I already said, they mess up orders quite often by not paying attention to the instructions asked.

Everything is freshly made including the bread. Card accepted here.

The worst I ever seen. 3 time orders came less drink or naan, 2 time the cancel my order after one hour waiting. Reason of out ingredient or broken oven.. Last order took fro m1745 to 1845 pm they ring me that they don't do pizza anymore. 😒 Whaaaaaat.. Avoid. Avoid. Runnnn

Served me cold meat, only heated the kebab meat for 30 seconds before cutting and serving to me. Absolutely shocking food safety practices. Food is coated in more grease than I've ever seen from any Schwarma I've had. 0 stars if I could have chosen.

Food was delivered stone cold and part of order missing. On phoning to explain that the food was cold and their was an item missing I was told that I would have to collect missing item myself and it was the delivery drivers fault it was cold so that was that!! On opening the food properly the Lamb shawarma looked disgusting, Shish meat portions very small. Naan’s were nice but yet again, cold!!-Best thing about the meal was the humous but even that was the smallest pot you’d ever see for £2!! Take away fit only for the bin!! It’s a real shame-Trying to support the smaller companies during these unprecedented times but met with these poor food standards and appalling customer service you have to wonder why!!

Missed items from order-I rang up for problems to be fixed and was told that if I wanted my missed items I would have to collect myself and the cold food was the delivery drivers fault. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time!! Naans were nice though, luckily as that’s all I could bring myself to eat from my order. Very disappointed-Horrible food, Rude staff!!!
