Peri Peri Flames in Leicester

Customer service I seen at this place is on another level. No2 I’m from Yorkshire so I am a bit wary when I eat at takeaways not in my local area but this place has the best of the best wings, the best piri piri chicken burger iv ever had better than anywhere in Bradford or Leeds. Amazing

Always get the order wrong even if you ask them tk double check. Asked for burger everytime without cheese, and everytime it comes with cheese. Or condiments I ask not to put. Used be great few years back. Now it's just too expensive and quality went down the drain. Rubbish 👎 Asked for veggie burger with mayo and lettuce only. As you can see in the picture below, has ketchup, onions, jalapenos, cheese, tomato and cucumber. Very rude staff. No manners on how to communicate with customers. Upon exiting the store one of the staff started to call me names 😡 MANAGMENT NEEDS TO BE AWARE!

Great food especially the peri rice one of my favourites

Food was terrible chicken prices were dry and the batter was thick. The chicken burger fillet was so hard it hurt to swallow. Ordered a Turkish shawarma it was just a chicken doner. The only descent thing was the pizza and the drinks

The food itself and service is good. Only issue is the pricing has become silly. £5.50 for a chicken fillet in a broken pitta by itself not as a meal?! Don’t be daft.

This is one of the best eating places in Leicester. I reckon, It's now under new management. Being as I have seen a lot of new faces behind the counter recently. The Peri Peri chicken cobs are delicious and mouth watering. Nobody can make Peri Peri Chicken Cob's like these people. The service is brilliant too. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. You would want to eat from this place again and again. I will always eat from this place till the end of time.

Food is always on point and service is quick and fast

I ordered 2 pizza and a mixed chicken meal. I got home to find I had just wings so I called the ship to point this out. The guy told me they didn't do any order like that and I must have been to another shop. The audacity of it. I was disappointed in the response and not even a sorry, we were busy or we got it wrong. I will be going to the shop one last time!

Food is often a Total Miss. Often being Very disappointed. Scrooges when giving out sauces. They charge enough then want extra money for Sauces. Salad is very minimal in burgers and wraps and often not even fresh. I prepare my own salad at home and refuse theirs. Staff are Very Unfriendly and Don't like it when you complain. The staff can be Very Arguementative and offensive. The last peri burger I had was Very Dry. The chip portions are very small.They charge you enough and are Scrooges in their portions. Personally I Reluctantly use this place. Unsure of the food which is often a Big Disappointment.Always leave feeling Disrespected. Suffered with Diorreah this morning after having a peri wrap yesterday late evening. HORRIBLE People think they're doing you a favour. They really need to go on a Customer Service Training Programme. Many other outlets will be Substituting this Trashy place for in future.

It's a takeaway shop but food is great.. I had hot 6 chicken wings and generous potion of fries/chips with can drink.. Prices have increased noticably and may reconsider this place.. £6:50 ish for that!! Hmmm...anyway service and staff behind counter are good.. Not rude but yet not polite but I guess he was rushed off his feet as shop was busy.. Can see kitchen and generally looked clean as was the shop front.. Parking is limited and is pot luck of getting double yellow or legal parking space.. Overall I would go again.. but upping on the prices do put me off..

I really only have peri peri chicken (available as wings, strips or chicken (1/4, 1/2 or whole) which is always spot on for me! The slightly seasoned fries are usually good and are the thin and crispy type so may not be so great once cooled down. Chilli sauce is the house own and is one of the better ones in the city. The lamb burger is pretty generic. I have yet to try other things on their menu but it is my place to go for peri peri chicken.

Mid food and the staff/service are awful

There are no chairs or tables so you cannot sit. It is just a fast food collection restaurant. The chips are very nice, always buy chips from them. However I've had a fish meal and the fish was not great. It tasted watery and definitely was just defrosted. Overall, the price is ok and the food is ok. I mostly only order sides such chips, onion rings, mozzarella sticks etc.. which usually is good.

Never eat the food this shop. Rubbish food

I think they have worst peri peri flavours out there in the Leicester. There was no difference between mild and hot flavours and the chicken was too rubbery and dry. The only plus side were the chips!

Owner has some sort of hearing difficulties and seems quite rude, the food was not too bad but since I have eaten it my stomach feels like it’s about to turn inside out, I have been on the toilet every few minutes!, poor hygiene. Think twice before consuming

I’ve lived in Leicester for over 3 years and this is one of the worst shops to go to. Every time I go to the shop they always get my order wrong. You can see in the picture below I asked for a grilled peri peri chicken but I received something that I didn’t even as for, clearly you can see it’s not even grilled properly thus leading me to write this review, not only that the taste is not appeasing at all. If you asked my opinion, I would not recommend this shop to anyone at all.

Great prices and nice to finally find a chicken shop that still makes good food. Peri chicken wrap was full of flavour, chicken and the quality was good. Fresh crispy fries and crunchy chicken strips. Would definitely recommend you give it a try. A lot of other peri shops for me have gone downhill recently but not these guys.

There’s bad and there’s really bad and then there this place. Pink cold chicken hidden badly by powdered spice Over cooked dry burnt chilli cheese crap. Too hard to bite. Black onion rings ??

Thinks hes doing you a favour by giving you sauce. Charges £5 a burger but, again, lacks sauce content. Guy at till is too slow. The owner is super tight with fries. Plus points: Has the best wings and chips in Leicester.

Wings overcooked and chips is soggy. We use to love this shop but, now every single time we bought , their food is just terrible. Stop refrying chips .

This place is really let down by it's customer service, if you ask them to change something or put food in a different container, they will look at you annoyed, angry and frustrated 😠.

Tast very nice... but management 0 they mess-up my take away order 2 times... on calling them to inform that order is wrong they replied to come and take pending items and discount of £0.50... horrible for single thing which cost only £3 no point going 5 miles rather they should deliver it was there mistake. Ordered a mixed platter specifically asked for some hot and some plain wings and strips so the kids could eat..all came in mixed bag so no plain ones for them. We had to clean the chilli off. Salad and salad in burger gone off. Chips good whole chicken good

I ordered full chicken but it was nasty chicken own hair on it it was not clean and I called on the takeaway and they are very disrespect and he doesn't want to listen wht they did keep telling me to call uber they are idiots baster

Paid £7.14 for a chicken wrap meal and £7.79 for peri chicken rice.. totally unworth it! Ordered through uber and specifically picked lettuce but they put tomatoes in the wrap aswel. Also shows tht the rice comes with salad but there was none and was a very small portion.

DO NOT EAT HERE THEY CHEAT YOU! I ordered a burger meal, full chicken and cheese sticks. Full chicken looked like there is missing pieces and fries was such a tiny portion, about 15 fries pieces(who does this!). As I live closeby, this has happened to me about three four times before. Previously I ordered wing(12 wings) meal, they have only put 10 wings but they charged me full amount. Never going to go here again, got bad stomach next day too.

Peri Peri chicken 🍗🐓 which is superdelicious with the lemon & herb sauce. Will definitely try some other dishes from here.

Quality food for a great price. The Peri Peri chicken is the best one I've had so far. Service is top and shop is set up well for distancing, including hand sanitiser on counter. Parking is a bit tricky, but you could park opposite on the double yellow and quickly pick up your food if ordered before. Good selection of food items and decent portions. Recommended!

Top place for your spicy grilled chicken.

Really Bad Tasting Food. Chicken was not nice at all, chicken wings were also bad, the chicken strips were okay, just. Fries we're not great though. They forgot my extra drink! I paid for. Showing that they really don't care. Seriously, bad food. Definitely NEVER going to this place again.

Brought strip burger meal, burger had a smell of some sort so had to throw away after a bite, the fries were cold as they’d just took it out the freezer, very dissatisfied

Fish was undercooked could have got food poisoning lucky we never gave it to our kids. Can't take orders at all this is the 3rd time our food was incorrect. Gave the foid back and still the owner was arguing about the refund instead of re cooking the food. Absolutely shameless business will be reporting to trading standards.

Brilliant. Ordered online at 8.59pm, order accepted within 1 minute. Order ready for collection in 20 mins. Went to the store and collected. Staff are very nice and helpful. They didnt rush anything, even asked me what sauces I'd like which was very nice. Keep up the good work guys. 5 stars for excellent customer service and food quality!!!! My family visited from manchester and they fancied some grilled chicken so we chose this place and I cannot fault them at all. Absolutely brilliant :) Thank you guys

Had the peri peri flamed burger. A great burger. Sauce used was beautiful and nice grilled taste. Fries were crispy and the dipping sauce was very tasty and tangy. Worth a try if Ur driving past!

Thought I would try this place following a recent leaflet drop of a nice big glossy flyer. I went for the peri peri burger with peri wings and strips (deal 1). It was amazingly good....very tasty...and fresh. Good value too. Would help of they gave a number when taking orders or a name as it was a bit chaotic when I went collect but I will be back again soon!

Great freindley staff and try to accommodate you in any way

Worst people to deal with. Can’t get order right over the phone, internet or even face face.. Orders take twice as long as they wont prepare the food until you turn up for you collection. Finally covid 19 doesn’t exist for this takeaway. No masks no social distancing. Don’t let the shop front fool you, the guys inside are not the ones you want your food cooking.

Great restaurant with the best staff.

If you want your order incorrect, to wait 20 minute for your order after placing it over the phone 30 mins prior, no queuing system in place, not adhering to covid rules of maximum number of people in the shop allowed, ordering food over £40 only to be given 2 SMALL tubs of chilli sauce and told to pay 50p extra per tub, burnt food then this is the place to go. If I could give it zero stars I would. The food at this place used to be good but the guy behind the counter is too busy with rationing the chilli sauce to get orders correct.

Service is awful. Two whole peri peri chickens and wings were burnt and chips were just about half the portion and cold. The owner is so grumpy and looks like a headless chicken, he doesn't know what he is doing. He is extremely stingy with the sauce and says "I am only charging you for the CONTAINER and not for the sauce". He charges 50p per pot. Would not recommend anyone - AVOID THIS PLACE.

I ordered 2 whole peri peri chicken but were burnt and chips were totally cold and only half the portion given. They are so stingy with the chilli sauce - I mean what is this? Service was bad, proper unorganised. The chap didn't know what he was doing. Never going in there again. Would not recommend anyone, I am utterly disappointed.

Probably the best burgers/ wings ive tasted in a long while. However, customer service is amongst the poorest I’ve ever experienced . Staff tend to not listen to orders and make continuous mistakes. The owner! My god! Where do i start with him? Repeats orders at an indecipherable speed, gets the order wrong by adding something you didnt ask for. charges you for it then becomes argumentative and blames you when you try to correct him. Openly swears at his staff in front of customers . Insanely understaffed during busiest hours. The place is chaos. But the food’s great!

Used to be excellent but the service nowadays is terrible, they give you less chips and sauces now with a smaller burger for £7 (doesn't even make you full, increased the prices) !!! Very disappointing as in the past they used to give you a decent amount of chips, sauces and a large burger at a fair price! I DO NOT RECOMMEND their service !!!

My go-to fried chicken takeaway. The fried chicken, peri peri chicken, cheeseburgers, etc. are all great. The chips are amazing. And they have a lovely unique chilli sauce. Love this place!

They give less fries. They don't like to give any sauces out. A bit tight and stingy seems like. Staff are not helpful. Some staff are really helpful. The boss is aways upset angry. Needs to find another profession. Nice food though

Im a regular customer here and never been let down, if you’re looking for a quick grilled takeaway which tastes nice then this is the place, food is on point, especially the soft baps used for burgers, they make it taste even better.

Armatures Initially I didn't mind the attitude of the seller. It was as if I was a burden to order a grilled chicken burger. But I asked for not overcooked chicken but rather juicy. and what do I get exactly the opposite. To top it up, the cheese wasn't even melted. so I wonder how he overcooked/grilled the chicken and not got the cheese melted.

Poor customer service as always , owner hates it when you ask for sauce or tissue . If you don’t spend more then £5 he gets mardy ! The food quality is poor now ! Not like before . Avoid

Tried this place via Deliveroo through its Charles Street branch. Food was fantastic. We went with the Supreme Burger and really enjoyed it. Decided to order a collection order via the Gipsy Lane branch on Sunday and the order was placed with no issues and paid online. On collection, i can say the place wins NO Awards for its Customer Service. Staff advised they had no shish kebab role and tried to call to advise. However, no call was attempted. From this it was to refund this which they declined and wanted to provide a voucher as order was "not" placed with them. In actual fact it was place on the companies Online Website. After a 10 minute battle the item was refunded. Food wise 9/10 Service 2/10 Great place shame such poor service levels and quality of staff or it would be a weekly stop. Unfortunately, i wont be visiting again as service is a key for me but will confess the burger was one of the best i have had in Leicester. Management - I hope your staff are better trained to help your scale and growth

Peri chicken pitta always tastes great as do the Sheesh kebabs. Call to avoid waiting. The fries are the best around.

placed my order which took ten minutes for 3 meals and was passed over to another person as first person didn't understand any English then arrived and felt like I was in a production line as just kept shoveling orders out ask me what other sauces I wanted and kept saying what you want and no time to answer just the whole thing done a lighting pace and its cheap for a reason its not great

Enjoyed the pizzas and chicken, was very tasty and the hygiene level is at 5 which is very good.

Regular customer usually have grilled chicken wrap/pitta fries or lamb burger and all are tasty and made fresh. Would recommend and it is value for money for a takeaway.
