Beautiful food, although I won't be ordering their chips again... Less than half a bag, counted maybe 20 chips! 😂 and my garlic naan was pretty burnt other than that the meal itself was lush as always.

Very tasty and consistent, always delivered promptly. Saag paneer and green herb chicken are particularly recommended!

Well was a lovely meal garlic chili lamb with fried rice and garlic naan. Very reasonable price for the portions. Delivery service was excellent. Good arrived hot and well packaged. I'd definitely order again.

This is the 1st time I’ve ordered from Shapla. I read previous reviews & they were all excellent therefore I decided to give them a try. I ordered online the whole process was very easy I was able to track the delivery which kept me advised & gave me a time slot for when the food would arrive. The food was really delicious & tasty. All in all an excellent experience & i will definitely order from here again.

I’ve never had a bad meal from Shapla. Always early or on time and the food tastes fresh and flavoursome. The fried rice is to die for and the North Indian chilli lamb Bhuna was spicy and rich. Delish

What a disappointment. I've ordered from Shapla many times, recommended to many friends and sung their praises on social media, but tonight's experience was completely different. I ordered the Special Set Meal For 1, which is listed as: Starter: Chicken kebab or pakora - Main course: Chicken tikka bhuna or methi gosht - Vegetables: Aloo gobi & pilau rice. I was delighted to see when choosing a starter, it was actually for chicken pakora, which I selected. Unfortunately, there wasn't an option to select which main course I wanted, but as I like both on the menu, I clicked to order. The 1st thing I noticed was that they had sent Sag Aloo instead of Aloo Gobi. They also sent veg pakora instead of the chicken one I had selected. I was disappointed because my main reason for ordering is the Aloo Gobi, but decided to tuck in anyway. The pakora was lukewarm, the rice was cold and the chicken was so tough, I found myself checking it to see if had actually been cooked. The Sag Aloo was ok, but it wasn't my favourite Aloo Gobi. I called the restaurant when I noticed the Sag Aloo and was told that I had to select Aloo Gobi from the menu, but there was no mention of a Sag Aloo on the meal or an option to select it. I tried to let them know that there must be something wrong with the menu, but they weren't really interested. They promised to let them know next time I ordered and they would send me something nice, but after the quality of tonight's meal and the wrong items, I don't think I'll be using them again.

Great food only point tht made me disappointed was the samosas looked like they were frozen out a bag not what I orderd but other than tht good food

Food quality is normally really good, but this time it arrived late and was cold. Reheating takeaway in the microwave is fine later on or the next day, but definitely not when you receive the order! Very disappointed.

Came highly recommended and lived up to that. We thought the food was delicious!

Ordered a couple of times and so far have never been disappointed. This time tried a Lamb Saag, which was probably my least favourite out of the things I tried, but still very good. The spicy dishes really are spicy, but have a very distinct flavour and are really well seasoned! Would recommend to try their food if you fancy a nice Indian treat.

Usually love it here and it was good although due to the food being late it was really cold, but of a disappointment

Arrived on time. Unfortunately the food wasn't very good. The garlic nann had no garlic, was very doughy and had a really odd flavour. Balti sauce was bland and the chicken of the tikka main was rubbery and lacked flavour, no charred flavour like you'd expect. They also sent veg pakora instead of chicken. Very disappointed given the good reviews but maybe it's because it's New Year's Day - I very rarely bin takeaway food, but had to on this occasion.

Ordered from here twice now. BOTH times asked for no mushrooms as I can't eat them. And both times mushrooms in the curry. So two water meals.

Delivered very quickly (15 mins). All food was extremely hot - ' Pipping' Pathia - Ok base sauce - not overly sweet and sour but I found it pleasant - it could do with something more to give it depth . Had some onion and garnish mixed through. There was a noticeable chili power heat to it. Plenty soft white chicken breast which tasted good and container full to the brim. Rice - Ok, nothing special in terms of being aromatic. Paratha - Ok - Fresh & Hot, although I prefer it more flaky.

Food arrived earlier than expected and was hot. Unfortunately, the food itself was very poor. The dansak didn’t have any flavour (I had to search for the prawns) and the peshwari naan also didn’t taste of anything. Such a shame!

The restaurants food is lovely. Great chicken. My only issue was that the vindaloo was below average heat. With a sweet taste. Never had such a mild vindaloo before. Everything else was spot on. Thanks.

Food was early which was great !! Korma is soooo flavourful not too oily and full of flavour the only thing I will say is it was a tad too spicy a korma should not be spicy! Apart from that e food was great!

Always a great meal from Shapla, been my regular Indian restaurant for years, have occasionally tried others but nothing beats Shapla, so always return as it's the best in Edinburgh!

Pappadomms were burnt. Meat was not fresh. Sauce was nice and chips were ok but on a whole not at all worth £14. Stay clear.

Great quality chicken, impressive bhajis(veg pakora), pay a bit more than most places but it is worth it for the quality.

Best curry I’ve had in Edinburgh! All the other places I’ve been made it so oily but this food was perfect. Asked for extra spice on one of the curries and they added just the right amount. Such a good dinner!! Thank you!
