I'm just upset about delivery. Ordered at 5pm after all got food delivery at 8pm! The food quality is also very bad.

The quantity was lot but food wasn’t up to the mark.

Food was ok . However onion bhaji was very dry, very few prawns in the curry and balti was not as nice as I remember. For over £100 it was just ok. I have had much better orders in the past. Shame I will probably go to Abida next time.

Do not eat from this restaraunt there misxed grill was awafull it arrived very cold and chewy. Had alot of red colour on it no taste at tasted foul. Ive got an upselt stomach. This restaraunt is to avoid.

Food was awful it is usually lovely is there a new chef we couldn’t eat most of it completely tasteless very unhappy not with just eat just with food !!

Phoned our order. I had the lamb kofta jalfrezi which was very good and spicy. The Peshwari naan is also very good.

Not a great experience we ordered the food at 5.50 and it did not arrive until 7.40pm. What annoyed me more is that the just eat website was showing that it had been delivered at 18.50 when it hadnt we phoned twice.The food was cpld when arrived

Driver was rude and intimidating

We were in Edinburgh for a few days, staying at the Caravan site and decided to have a takeaway. We picked up a menu for Bangla kitchen, ordered online, and thankfully they delivered to the campsite. Delivery took over an hour, against an estimate of 50 minutes. Starters were Aloo chops, these were like vegetable fritters, served with a mix of dips and salad. My wife had green herb lamb and I had green Bengal gosht and both of them blew us away. Mine was extremely hot, but the menu warned us of that. 'hot and spicy.' Both curries had a mix of flavours and were well seasoned. We also had a garlic naan, which was again very well done, not huge, but we had more than enough to eat anyway. A very positive experience overall, and one we are likely to repeat, next time we are back at Cramond.

We’ve used Bangla Kitchen on and off for years but the last meal we had delivered will be the LAST meal we have from them. From the awful, half-cooked, doughy, crumbly, single layer parathas to the underwhelming shatkora murgh (previously my favourite), the meal for four was very disappointing, so we will not be troubling them with our custom again. A sad end to a once great takeaway.

Usually great food let down by far too much oil. We will order again but please less oil

Prawns overcooked and tuff in both dishes. One of the 2 Peshwari naans was burnt and not edible. We are very disappointed as it wasn't a cheap meal.

Delivery driver showed up 30 minutes before schedule, then went back to the restaurant with my food, and made at least one other delivery before coming to me, late, which meant that my food was in the bag for an hour and stone cold.

Avoid this place at all costs. Worst takeaway in Edinburgh.

Not only was it late but it was freezing cold, had to put all the dishes into my oven to heat it up. And for some reason my bhuna had spring onions in it? Don't think I'll be back.

worst experience ever. terrible curry, frozen and defrosted lamb, was all grainy and horrendous. it took 2 hours plus for delivery. the driver was very apologetic but it didn't detract from the fact it was meant to take 35-45 mins that ended up over 2 hours. won't ever order again

there was an odd ingredient in my madras which spoiled the taste at the end

While the staff at Bangla Kitchen were friendly upon collection, the experience went downhill from there. Unfortunately, upon arriving home and dishing up our meal, we discovered a long black hair in the Chicken Rogan Josh. Needless to say, this unexpected ingredient put a complete damper on our appetite and the enjoyment of the meal. It's important to maintain cleanliness in food preparation, and finding a hair in the dish raises concerns about hygiene standards at Bangla Kitchen. The Chicken Pakora, onion Bhaji and Puri bread were all really dry too so overall a very disappointing experience. I think we will be going elsewhere from now on. :(

Had takeaway . Nearly £17 for prawn curry , I do not accept . We had 2 prawn curries … 5 prawns in each . Total rip off , atrocious. It’s a pity .

Delivery on point food tastes amazing only problem I have is only getting 8 small bits of chicken inside my Bhuna and was all sauce defo needs to be more meat in your main meals apart from that decent food ..

Superb food, really enjoyed my takeaway. My Chicken Jalfrezi was spicy! I loved it but be warned, it was hot! Nan and Rice were excellent and my friends Lamb Rogan Josh was well received. Top billing went to the excellent Veg Pakora. Generous portions although the Nan could have been bigger.

No worries though, it's hogmanay eve!

Food had exploded all over bag everything covered in the sauce with all my meal at the bottom of bag

After waiting nearly 2 hours for our take away it was cold, the pakora were dry and uninteresting (the dips were not in the main bag and we missed them!), the main courses were cold and my chicken was very dry, the bread was cold and stodgy and the peshwari nan had very little filling, in general everything felt it had been cooked a long time before we got it. I won't use them again - disappointing doesn't begin to describe it.

Called as it said meal was delivered and there wasn't a driver so had to then wait till they got a driver.

Food always very good. But food took approx 1 hour 40 mins and was very late. I would have gone elsewhere if I’d known

Pasanda and Tikka Masala were really good. The ladies that served me were very efficient and hard-working.

Ok so . Gonna be honest. I love this place . Been having take out from here for 10 years plus. Today is the last day . Every single time , and I mean every time the food is mega late . Was due at 6 , app days been delivered called the restaurant told it’s on its way and will be 5 mins ( I live 8 mins drive from them ) 25 mins later the dude arrives and is like traffic was so bad . Sorry bangla . I’m done

Always fantastic service and Amazing, freshly prepared and cooked food. We drive about 40 minutes for a Bangla Kitchen Munchy Box because there is nothing else comes close to it (in our opinion). Reasonably priced too

Chicken Pathia with Pilau rice came with spicy onions, two sauces and popadoms. All in for under £12. This is a very busy Bangladeshi/Indian takeaway so be aware of how far off the mark the negative reviews are. A lovely thick curry with nice chunks of chicken and a fragrant pilau rice, keeps me coming back week after week. I have tried further afield but nothing can compare to what you get at the Bangla Kitchen.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience, we were really looking forward to trying this restaurant as friends had recommended it, starters were very dry and we actually found a blue elastic band in the onion Bhaji, pictures to support claim, very very disappointing and will not ever order from here again, would appreciate restaurant getting in touch to discuss 🤢

Placed a decent sized order on a Saturday night, expected it to be either late, cold or both. We all were pleasantly surprised by the speed of the delivery, the quality of the food & 3 of our party are currently in food comas 😂

I have ordered here for years but this order was very poor. Mostly sauce in the dishes. Luke warn and the chapatis were hard and inedible. We put most off it in the bin. Not very good whatsoever for a £80 order.

Very disappointed with my delivery. Over £80. Food was semi warm. Each dish was just mainly sauce. Chapatis were cold and hard. 60% in the bin. Have had deliveries for years but time for a change. Heard similar from my friends.

to begin with, the driver marked the order delivered before I even received it, and it took a good 15-20 mins from it being marked as delivered to me getting it, this played on our anxiety, thinking it was delivered to the wrong address, which is unacceptable. the rice I ordered was dry and hard to swallow without the sauce from my other dish. to top it off, despite going to this place multiple times over many years, My wife and I are both trans and I was misgendered, first by the person on the phone when I called to ask where my order was, and again by the delivery driver to my wife, both myself and my wife were misgendered

Generally very tasty. Thali was good value. Came with bags of salad we had asked not to get though!

Food was delicious and hot. Well presented in the trays. The chicken was well cooked and soft and the chops were really tasty.

Saturday 11th March - total disaster. It was like a Gordon Ramsay episode. I ordered one curry and naan. It was half an hour late and had to go back as the naan was missing. I am disabled so yes I was annoyed. The replacement naan was precooked - not fresh - burnt and inedible. Poor show.

Just eat sent text to say was on way,15 mins later i phoned still waited15 mins later,was told they were busy.ordered at 1730 received 1910.not v good food was flavoursome but lukewarm,nan bread cold .my Sat. night takeaway enjoyment spoiled 😐

Wow shocked at the food and just how bad it was used to be a great place for food. Asked for just a sauce found chicken pieces in it. Pakora's we're rock solid clearly double dipped or treble. Would not rat here again

As a former award winning takeaway I had expected the food to be off a very high quality but it was average at best both starters were dry and didn't appear to be freshly cooked and similarly the mains of which we had a bhuna and jal bhuna despite the the sauces being very tasty the chicken in both dishes where very dry which is disappointing

We just had chicken tikka masala. Very tasty. Also king prawn exotica which was also very good. One portion of pilau rice. All good. They gave us a couple of free poppadoms with onions and sauces. We'll be back 👍 thanks Alistair

Brilliant food, great every time!

Usually amazing food however tonight the chicken pakora was very dry and tasted like it had been re-heated a few times. The batter was crispy all the way through and the chicken was extremely dry inside. Even the tandoori chicken in my main meal was dry. This is my go to India takeaway but I think I will be looking for an alternative now, sorry.

Delivery time was shocking and food was cold when arrived and horrific didn’t get my juice either. Sad because usually good. Won’t be back and il be wanting a refund not answering phone now either. Shocking after rudely being told it’s a Saturday night !

Severe nut allergy asked for no almonds in the meal and the meal arrived with almonds and late. I would like a refund. Now without a meal. Thank you.

The chicken madras had a stange taste to it that was disappointing as its normaly fine, and the Onion bhaji's where stale, Sorry Bangla Kitchen but your standards are slipping and i cant say i will be back.
