One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to for a long time. A la Carte menu with a selection of 6 starters and 6 mains to feed two people. All was hot, fresh and tasty. Well recommended and will visit again.

The place could do with a bit of a brighten up. The food is good, particularly the lunchtime buffet. Recommended

My husband treated us to a takeaway last night, usually get it from Shanghai when we do have a Chinese. Usually our meal is good, not excellent but normally ok. Last nights meal was terrible. 30 minutes we were told for collection, 1 hour later we got it brought downstairs with 3 other orders. No wonder it was freezing cold by the time we got it Home, god knows how long it had been sitting upstairs in their kitchen. Everytjin* tasted like it had been cooked 3 times, dry, cold and duscusting. I think prawn crackers should be supplied if you spend over £20 and also a 50p card charge. I can understand if you spend less than £10 but should be free if you spend over £15/£20.

Never order from this restaurant if you expect your food to be delivered on time or hot.If you ring to complain expect whoever is answering to ask you what you expect them to do about it.Well don't take large orders from people when you can't deliver on time and constantly insult people's intelligence by telling lies about where the food is.Epic fail by Shanghia Garden.

Ate on a Monday evening in January. We chose this restaurant as it was the only one we could find open in Spalding town centre on a Monday evening ! Interesting menu, essentially three choices for eating. Normal a la carte menu you would get anywhere, normal set meal options for 2/3/4 people etc again as you would get anywhere, but then there was the 2 course choice menu as I will call it. Basically for £13.50 per head - provided there are at least 2 of you - you may order 3 dishes per person from the starter menu (about 30 items to chose from) then 3 dishes each from the main courses/rice/noodle dishes on offer (again about 30 dishes). Many of the mains list the sauce/cooking style and you may then chose different meats or prawns. This seemed good value so we opted for this. Starters - chicken satay skewers - delicious. Seasme prawn toast - OK but only 2 pieces was disappointing. Smoked chicken - nice but in effect two chicken strips served in breadcrumbs - not the small pieces cooked in chili I have usually eaten. Breaded mushrooms - served rather cooler than they should have been. Prawns in batter - delicious. Mains - Lemon chicken - very good. Noodles with prawns - delicious, probably the best dish we had. Stir fried mixed veg, - good. Beef fried rice - good. Stir fried prawns in garlic and ginger - very good but small portion. Lamb in Szechuan sauce - very disappointing, meat totally overpowered by thick cloying sauce, could have been beef rather than lamb I would never have known. So some good dishes, some not so. Staff however were very friendly and welcoming. And price at£13.50 per head was very good.

Phoned for a take away to be delivered but told hour and a half wait, so decided to collect as that was only a half hour wait! Returning home we unpacked the food only to discover the lemon chicken was missing....very disappointed

Parecía un buen lugar, justo en el centro de la ciudad, pero una vez dentro es como la de un hotel de una estrella con una mala recepción bar y mal presentado. El saludo fue muy agradable y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa, que tenía buen Manteles y servilletas. En la esquina de la mesa, era la pared que estaba resquebrajándose y también cubiertas con láminas de plástico y cinta de peligro muchas telarañas, que tuve que quedarme mirando durante toda la comida. Las entradas llegaron rápidamente y tuve que decir que era muy agradable. La red era bastante horrible, como de un mal para llevar chino que es extraño teniendo en cuenta los aperitivos estaban bien. La camarera luego disspeared por un largo tiempo y podíamos oír el ruido muy fuerte como si alguien moviéndose de arriba, quizás hay muebles arriba inquilinos... extraño. Puedo decir honestamente que no volveremos, pero hay un montón de posibilidades aquí para mejorar si sólo un poco de esfuerzo con la decoración y conseguir un chef descenso también solucionaría el venidas de arriba.

In town to pick up a sandwich, it was just after midday and first smelt then saw a lady with a take away box of Chinese food. Close to Shanghai gardens so nipped in and for £4.30 given a standard takeaway box, fork and napkin. It's buffet style with all usual offerings,opted for a half a dozen things, ribs, egg fried rice, noodles, sweet and sour chicken, wrapped prawns, and Chinese pork. Sat in broad street car park and eat it using up my car park ticket. A good hot alternative to a sandwich meal deal and very enjoyable. Recommend and will return.

10/10 would come again. I caught 20 drowzees while waiting for my mushroom fried rice. There are always 12 year olds who use their parents money on lures for the Pokestops in this area. Worth the cost of the food alone.

Cuatro de nosotros llegamos a 6,15 pm, nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y se explica cómo nos pide la comida buffet - entrante y plato principal estaban decididas recién preparado entrantes llegar rápidamente (nos había explicado que íbamos a ir al cine para 7,30 ) entonces nuestro plato principal ... así que muchos recién hecho, sabrosos platos. Buena comida, encantador, personal amable y nos hubiera gustado haber permitido más tiempo para disfrutar de la experiencia. Sin duda volveremos, y le daremos más tiempo para disfrutar de la noche.

I regularly visit this chinese all you can eat, the food is generally very good for the money you pay as its very competitive, however if you get there for around 1pm you normally find that the owners are very reluctant to fill the food up. When lunch runs till 1.45 you really need to be filling up the food when more people are arriving. It is a small moan but important one. This said the food is tasty and the price is very good

This place ticked all the boxes for me. The food, a lunchtime Chinese buffet, was delicious. There was a wide range of tasty freshly cooked dishes and the curry sauce was especially good. The value was unarguable..all you can eat for £6.50. An adjacent café was advertising "Chicken curry for £5.75"! The venue is a cosy oak beamed dining room. The service was delivered by Mary, a delightful young woman who combined warmth and courtesy with boundless energy and efficiency. I had no hesitation in leaving a 20% tip. Please do not be put off by the negative reviews I have seen. The restaurant was very busy from 12 until 2 with good reason.This is an ideal place for lunch and when I next visit this beautiful market town I shall certainly lunch here again.

A very well priced buffet option. £15.50 for three courses. The food was plentiful and freshly cooked.As we had three people in our party, we could choose six items for our starter and main. Starter portions were large, and very tasty. The King spare ribs were a particular favourite! Second course was crispy lamb - which was lovely, and moister than duck!Then we had the main - again six choices. Portions were slightly smaller, but by this point that didn't matter!Highly recommended ... By all three of us! We will be back!

We arrived at seven and left at eleven after only a small amount of terrible food, which gave me diarrhoea. We had to wait an hour a between courses, while the staff kept repeatedly asking whether we wanted any more of the horrendously watered down drinks. But we were all clearly starving. When the food did come they served the equivalent of reheated ready meals. I just wanted to leave.

Looked at the reviews and this looked like a good recommendation. When we got there it was closed even though it should have been open and it was only a very seedy take away shop. There were no signs anywhere to tell us where the restaurant was and we had the right address. Don't waste your time on this!

Had lunch in here. Food was excellent; very tasty indeed. Good value for money, although website said it was £5.50 for the buffet. Was charged £6.50. When I questioned this, apparently the prices had gone up in October (10 months ago) and the manager refused to honour the advertised price! Apart from this, staff were friendly overall. HIghlight is the building which is very old and has wonderful old beams; well worth a visit just to experience this historic place.

Love this restaurant, we have had many work meals here and we cannot fault it. Friendly service and beautiful fresh food.

We were in spalding for one night and stumbled on this restaurant and had a great meal. The place is clean and the buffet selection idea is a great idea. Everything we ate was tasty and hot and it was exceptionally good value for money. If we were ever in Spalding again I would go back.

I ate tonight with my family and friends , the food was fresh , the staff are very good . The chicken are halal. I would recommend this place to all my friends in my hospital .

The place looks clean enough once you get through the door, the staff were very welcoming.I liked that you could fill a sheet out to order you're own parties buffet (we didn't)We had an appetiser each, separate main courses, fried rice, chow mien and a couple of soft drinks.I have to say the food was good and plenty of it, loads left over. I think the bill at £35 was a fair price too.The downside; The waitress was in a hurry to clear our table while we were still eating (she did apologise). The worst thing was the other guests who were very noisy, so not much of a cosy meal and chat was had. Overall not bad at all.

Thoroughly enjoyed my night. Great price all you can eat however I was stuffed by the second corse. Great service, and fair priced drinks. Will be going back
