Never arrived. Not a phone call. Or message. Or apology. Not happy with this. And not happy with Just Eat. No contact Centre. Just dead end automatic robot replies.

I still didn’t have my food that i paid for

I have ordered food by Just eat. Estimate delivery time should be about 19.00 a clock. Now is already 20.32 and no order received and no clue what has been happened as noone cant contact at Shanghai Garden Spalding.

Fantastic quality food , hot and quick delivery

Ordered at 1830 with an arrival time of 1945 - 2005. When it didn’t arrive I tried to call and the phone number didn’t work. They change the time to 2020 at 2019 (?!) and at 2045 still hadn’t arrived. Their answer via the app was “we were busy” well don’t take money and business you can’t fulfil and actually contact your customers.

Food came late and didn’t get everything I ordered even though I only ordered 3 things. Lady on the phone didn’t seem to care about the issues either.

Have ordered many times from here and only had the odd issue here and there. Unfortunately tonight it took 2 hours 10 minutes to be delivered and the food is cold. This may be the final nail in the coffin for shanghai garden for me. Disappointed.

The food is always good but the delivery is appalling. And when you ring up the answer is "it's with the driver" with no indicator where the driver is or how long he will take to deliver. Had to ring twice. Not impressed.

This is our second order from Shanghai Garden and once again the order arrived well within the expected timeframe. Everything we ordered was tasty and enjoyable.

Ordered just after 6pm. delivery estimated between 7.10 and 7.30pm. It's now 8.10pm and still not here. Asked for a text update through the app. Not received an update.

The crispy shredded beef was awful. Had to go in the bin. Not a fussy eater, and don’t think I’ve ever thrown takeaway food away or left a negative review before. That’s how bad it was. Was really disappointed.

Order food in ubereats stated time 85min already 120 min mark no response from restaurant number provided not work just beeps most wasted 35£ ever so dont get caught on fake delivery times

Ordered a delivery from here. Despite the reviews around delivery I found that it came out in good time, was hot and of great quality. (This was a Wednesday evening so not peak time) Lovely food and would order from again, thank you.

Never received it, told we had it and we haven’t! I wanted my money back and they have not supported ! I have no way of getting my money back ! Never will I use them again

Had food delivered as we have done for a while. This was probably the most disappointing meal smoked chilli chicken normally has chilli’s and a bar of onions etc. what we got was just the smoked chicken so ended up being a very bland dish. The other dishes were good but my main dish I wanted was off the mark.

Ordered on line and was happy to wait the stated time but when the food was ten minutes past the ninety minutes mark I called and was told food was out for delivery, I am writing this while still waiting as an hour has past

was over an hour late even though it said it had already been delivered. the restaurant was useless and kept saying its on its way for an hour. turned up 'stone cold' steve austin. spent 100s in there but they won't get another penny, shocking service and even worse food

Ordered a delivery. When received things were missing, so called them to explain to then be told I am a liar. Shocking customer service skills. Won't be using these again. Even though we always use them.

ordered food at 7.18pm and it arrived at 9.10! It was an appetiser, a main and rice. it was hot, so clearly not even attempted to make food for at least 90 mins! I'll walk to another Chinese in future!

Haven't had good experiences with the delivery service, but never had a bad experience with dining in! Food is always excellent, the staff are nice, wait time is fine, and the portion sizes are good value in my opinion.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming the food was ready on time portions as always were good food was nice hot and full flavour as always most enjoyable

Unfortunately I shall not be ordering online anymore as too many mistakes. This time no sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style was delivered so already a meal short then also found the crispy shredded beef had no sauce and was far too dry to eat. Pretty disgusting actually. Normally the food we do get is good so will only eat in the restaurant in future so can complain in person if the food quality is not to scratch or if dishes are missing.

Far exceeded expectations, really good selection, excellent speedy service, every dish freshly cooked, piping hot, and without doubt one of the best value meals in the town.

Still not here been waiting nearly 2 hours for food

We ordered a Chinese from here and ordered same as we always do. Unfortunately it had some hard bones in the meal which shouldn’t have bones I rang them up and said her chef checks before the food goes out I said well it definitely had bones in it wasn’t a great experience at all won’t be going here again unfortunately last time we had also was chewy and cold very let down as used to be rather nice

Notified by Just Eat that food had been delivered but it hadn’t. Arrived 15 minutes late, after I had called the restaurant to check status of delivery. Food was lukewarm at best and spring rolls/chicken balls and the ribs (that didn’t have a bone in them) were floppy and rubbery.

Always incredible food. Delivery takes a while but I don't mind waiting for good food! Piping hot and incredibly tasty. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

The starters were so sparse, there was hardly anything to share. The chicken satay was either frozen and reheated or it’s been microwaved- there was huge inedible chucks. We then had duck, which was so fatty and yet again inedible. For mains we had peking beef, sweet and sour chicken, rice and noodles. The meat was chewy and the rice and noodles were burnt. We told the owner multiple times we were not happy with the food and we simply got back ‘ oh’. There was no apology at all and she made it seem like it was our fault for complaining. We came out of this place feeling hungry and most of all angry. We will not be returning.

ordered food at 17:55 .. at 19:50, after speaking to three different people was told it was still going to be another 40 mins.. 3 hours for food is completely unacceptable!!

Excellent service and food quality. Party of 8 adults and 3 children food was plentiful and delicious. Price was very good also. Great value for money

Order placed ok but never updated until three hours after delivery. Food was tepid. Omelette was worst I’ve eaten and was just bitty and not a proper one. Don’t order from here it’s rubbish.

20 mins after delivery should have been delivered I contacted the restaurant through the app, who called me back very quickly, apologised and assured me it was on the way. Will be 15mins. another 40 mins later it finally arrives. luckily the food was still hot and tasty.

pre ordered advised 1815 delivery swiftly changes to 1845 still waiting at 1940 hours having had no communication from just eat or the take away.. i called and nothing more than an apology. VERY POOR SERVICE let's just see if the food arrives amd if its actually hot

The food was ordered just after 6.30pm and arrived at 9.20pm, food was very nice however due to this taking so long to get delivered by the time the food has arrived no one was hungry. Food wasted money also wasted

Ten of us went there last night and had the buffet where each of you picks a starter ,have duck or lamb for 10 people and then pick 10 mains and it was very good ,food fantastic and there was some much food we left a little bit ,would definitely go again and that was all for £20 each person They also do gluten free dishes if needed

The rice cold and curry warm ..if we were in a restaurant would have sent it back …even phoned to find out where it was …as the app said enjoy your food and we had not recived it at that time very disappointing

Food was good would of been better if I received all my order called them and got cut off called a second time got told thay will refund for what's missing and not going to do anything else as there to busy won't be using again and will wait and see if I get my refund

Was a lovely evening but due to being short staffed we did have to wait a while for our food. However it was definitely worth waiting for and we had a lovely evening. I would of given 5 stars if we didn't have to wait so long. Lovely restaurant and lovely staff also beautiful food. We will definitely go again.

First of all, they have stopped the buffet but do not inform you upon arrival. You pay £20 or more per head. We got one spring roll each, one won ton each basically one thing (out of the 6) that we ordered. When we asked for more starters we were told we would have to be charged. We weren’t happy as one item per person is definitely not enough😂 the majority of the staff are 15 year olds, it was very unprofessional, especially our Waiter. Our drinks came without ice, we weren’t given fresh cutlery after our starters. We didn’t eat our mains as we felt like we were being ripped off. They decided to take £4 off our bill, and the total was £57 for two drinks, 1 spring roll, 1 wonton, 1 chicken wing and prawn crackers. And didn’t even eat our mains. Honestly, never leave reviews wherever I go, but I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant. The Beijing Palace is much better in comparison to this. Can’t believe it.

Would not recommend! I went here with my two kids. It was my eldest's birthday and he was left extremely disappointed by the meal. The prawn crackers were less than adequate, the vegetables were sloppy and my energy drink was lukewarm. I heard staff members squabbling about packaging in the kitchen which resulted in my son bursting into tears and not wanting to stay for dessert. The waiter was lovely. The water wasn't. Think I could do better if I went to Shanghai itself and ordered something for a tenth of the price from a local market.

What was supposed to be a simple family dinner caused the end of my marriage. The waiter was great though.

The chips were over cooked and that hard we struggled to eat them. The ribs hardly had any meat on the bone. Overpriced for the quality.

Enjoyed all the food, but annoyed that two pots of curry sauce were only half full. Considering they charge £2.40 per pot which is expensive you expect a full pot! Also delivery time was 1.5 hours if I had known would have ordered elsewhere as did not want to wait that long but delivery time not given until after order placed.

This was the first time I tried Shanghai Garden for a takeaway, although I had eaten in their restaurant before and been very satisfied with the food quality. There was clearly some mix-up with my order / collection time as I received 2 texts 30 min and 15 min before the due time, both saying that my order was ready for collection. I arrived at the correct time but no-one seemed to know anything about my order. I was kept waiting for about 10 min and then an order arrived on the table for collection but it took them several minutes before they told my that it was my order standing there going cold. On arriving home I quickly re-heated it in the microwave and I must say that it was excellent. The restaurant was very busy at my chosen time, which could explain some of the problems I experienced this time, but I shall certainly be using this takeaway again in the near future.

First of all, I ordered a takeaway through the holbeach branch at 6 o’clock, which was then transferred to the Spalding branch without any communication to myself. After ringing the original branch at 7:15 to find out where my order was, only then was I informed about the change. I then rang the Spalding branch to be told after 10 minutes on the phone that it is currently being made and will arrive in 30 minutes - when in fact, you could hear the chef in the background say to the person on the phone that they didn’t even have the order! After 45 minutes we then rang again only to be told that it would be another half an hour! At 8:30 the food then arrived. I am really disappointed with this and there nothing was offered to rectify or apologise. Because of that I definitely will not be ordering from here again and would urge anyone else to find elsewhere.

SHANGHAI GARDEN IS A LOCAL GEM . The consistency of shanghai garden has left me no choice but to Voice such a review to the people of spalding. I believe this place is a local gem and should be supported and treated as such. The service is immaculate the food is sensual , never has a chicken ball made me want to salsa through the living room like a shanghai garden chicken ball .
